The game lacks any large number of players. At any given time, I've not found a good number of populated servers OR online players. One or two servers are full, and the remaining 8 or so have a few people each.

The gameplay is clunky - and I don't mean that there's no crosshair or that the reloads take longer. I mean that there will be times i'm running over a small hill and get caught.

Once you're dead? You get to wait. A long time, sometimes. In same game types the only respawns happen when your team captures an objective or "regroups" by running to a place on the map. A lot of players pay zero attention to regrouping, and other times the last player is a sniper - he refuses to die, and doesn't capture or regroup. So you're left waiting for them to FINALLY die.

I enjoy America's Army. I've played Arma. I played Insmod back in the day and liked it....but Day of Infamy just falls well short of the mark. I can't recommend it, nor will I waste any more time on it. Seriously disappointing.

You spent most of the time waiting or cursing because you can't change the team!
And you know whats the most relaxing thing after work? Playing a s a mass-murdering **** because the game-mode doesn't allow you to change anything.

If this wasn't bad enough, the lag and stupid choke-points on the maps kill the fun you have faster, than you can refund this game!

If this game tries to emulate the horrors and annoyance of war, it succeeds.
You die often and you have to spend too much time with waiting and hoping it'll be worth this time.

WHAT is it with "modern" shooters, that they can't get the gunplay and coop-experience right?!

I've played mods for the old Doom that had better atmosphere and Coop-Support!

Day of Infamy is not a game that will tear down the hegemony of Battlefield or Call of Duty, but like other realistic shooter out there, it provides an alternative FPS experience.

The inexorable focus on realism won't suit people looking for fast entertainment. But if you dive into Day of Infamy, it will be very difficult for you to get out of there. Except for a few issues, this is the second world war in full fame. [Issue#274]

Day of Infamy is not for any kind of user, but it's realistic, complex and great co-op experience.
