So far I have played 72 hours of the game. I love the story but there are so many missing things that just don't make sense on why those features are missing. Features that are missing on Cyberpunk are Character customization, vehicle customization, interaction with NPCs.
    7/10 for the story
5/10 for the game due to it being very buggy

I have been playing Cyberpunk for about 77 hours so far, and I am having a blast. The story is very good, and all the side quests are not simply fetch tasks, they have very interesting mini stories of their own, so I did not skip a single dialogue. E.g. in Assassins Creed a lot of npc cross their arms and talk to you, there are some gesture patterns. In Cyberpunk, I could never guess how they would behave. Combat and driving are very good if you are expecting an RPG, they are good enough but not as fantastic as a combat focused game/racing focused game. The action gets more fun when you evolve your character, giving you many hacking possibilities, which reminds me a lot of Deus Ex Mankind Divided. There are many references to other games as well, and funny stuff going on around the city if you just stop and look around! On PC and Next gen consoles, yes, the game is buggy, but nothing above the average, ppl are being more vocal about it because there was so much hype for this game, I have seen much worse games on release bug-wise than this one. And if you are on the last gen console ps4/xbox base console, I would wait, because in that case, the game seems to be indeed unplayable.
TL;DR: The game itself is fantastic, but only if you are on PC or last gen console.

This is a spectacular game! Good graphics! Good gameplay! Spins at 85-95fps without breaking. Good story. I played for 27h and I'm loving it. I don't give 10 stars, because it has some bugs. They don't hinder the gameplay, but they are bugs.

This game is wonderful. gameplay is fun, characters are interesting, plot is interesting (for what i've seen so far), and world is nice and open. Those alone should be enough to make a game worth it, right? Normally, yes, but in this game's case, not quite. There is quite a bit weighing it down at launch.

There are countless bugs in this game. The majority of which being either graphical or auditory. There are a couple that i've heard of that are quest/dialogue base that can be game breaking. This was an issue with The withcher 3 also (CD Project Red's last game), and most of, if not all of, the bugs were eventually patched out. I assume the same will happen with this game.

Bugs aren't my only issue with this game, though. I am also having a little bit of trouble justifying the seeming lack of side content in this game. From what i've experienced in my (so far only) 16 hours of gameplay, there are very little side quests, and an even smaller amount of character interactions. For side quests, or "gigs" as the game calls them, most of the time you just wait until a quest giver, or "fixer", calls you and gives you one. These are usually rescue missions, or "go kill x" missions, which is fine. The other type of side quest (which name is escaping me) are a little longer but still not super content filled. I have one that is to go fight in some fist fights around night city, and another which is to go find some cars that were blacked out of their grid with their company, and are lost. That's about the extent of side quests I've experienced so far.

Character interactions are even worse. There is VERY little talking outside of quests. You can "talk" to pedestrians, but this is just them saying one line as they continue walking. You don't get dialogue options with them. I was hoping for something a little more RDR2 like, but whatever. Apart from that, you can also talk minimally to shopkeeps. You can't really even talk to your friends outside of quests.

Night city, while huge, has a surprisingly low amount of interesting places or objects. To paraphrase a review I read about the world, "You will see the same line of books, or the same whiteboard with the same notes on it in many buildings across the city." This breaks the immersion, which is a big no no in gaming. Sure, reusing assets is fine, but not to this extent.

While I haven't done too much exploring myself, one of my friends who spent hours exploring has found just about nothing interesting to see. No secret places or items. No "secret" interesting characters or anything. Nothing, leaving one with no reason to explore, other than hopefully getting a gig to do.

There is also a whole mechanic I haven't touched at all, because I don't see the need to. Crafting seems practically useless in this game, and the closest I get to doing that is dismantling stuff when I become over encumbered. This gives you materials to craft with, which I just haven't done.

I can't quite pin down why, but I just can't get SUPER invested into this game like I expected I would. I play for a few hours, and then get bored of the samey gameplay. The fact that the gameplay is fun doesn't stop it from feeling samey after a while. And with a lack of character interaction and meaningful sidequests, this is hard to keep me interested in playing the game for long streaks of time.

This has been a fairly negative review so far, so let me highlight some of the things I do really like about this game. First off, I'm a huge sucker for western RPGs. Bethesda games, CD Project games, etc all scratch an itch I get for gaming. I nearly hate level based games anymore. While I railed on Night city in the last paragraph, I do still love it. It's beautiful. I am also a sucker for cyberpunk worldbuilding though, so I may be a little biased. Another bias I have is the tech aspect you get within a cyberpunk world. V (the player character) is equipped with an ocular scanner which can also hack into people and objects to do different things.

When You do talk to characters, They are all interesting and individuals (other than the pedestrians). You get the sense that they all have their own desires and goals. They feel like people! The main characters of V and are very interesting and cool.

The story, for what I've gotten to so far, is very interesting and engaging. I am not going to go too much more into it, though.

Those are all the thoughts I can come up with for cyberpunk 2077 so far. The game is fun, interesting, beautiful, but ridden with problems. Will some, if not all, of the problems be fixed with patches and possible DLC? yes. Does that make the game feel worth full price right now? Not quite.

The city feels so alive and you really get the sense that you are living in this future world. Apart from the bugs you don't feel anything is out of place.

I don't really like the scaling of enemies which causes most fight to be either to easy or impossible (high level enemies will kill you with 1 bullet even if you are a tank).
The loot system could be a lot better. I don't like picking up lots of items just to disassemble them for parts. The rarity system also is kind of basic.

There are endless bugs, not just funny bugs but many with influence of gameplay. NPC not moving lips when talk, sefl-shooting guns, not  disappearing   crosshair, dialogues and  explosions   with no sound and many little bugs...

The  optimization   sucks... Driving cars doesn't give u fun. There is no many activities besides main quest and side quests. AI on traffic is just ridiculous. Radio stations aren't interesting at all.

    On plus side:

Cyberpunk 2077 could have been not only GOTY but also Game of the Decade. I can see so much potential in it, so many fresh ideas and best of all - plentiful of opportunities. However, there must have been enormous turbulance behind the curtains of CDPR that are yet to be uncovered in the years to come. And that's why it is what it is today.

Back to the point. Overall, I liked the game

Overall, I liked the game and I played it on PC. I wasn't bothered that much by the bugs, flawed textures and overly simplified AI. These are fixable and had CDPR taken their time with that instead of releasing the game in this state, the game would have been received better. I wouldn't have minded to wait as much as needed.

Anyway, here is what I didn't appreciate about the game:

    1. Cut-down content and features, some of which promised in the first place.

    2. Little variety when it comes to clothes, weapons and cars.

    3. Very little weapon and clothing customization.

    4. Extremely poor crafting system, minimal reward when upgrading and visual improvement when you up your equipment. This is a BIG ONE for me. It costs a lot to improve yet it's completely unnecessary. I managed to beat the game with sub-par items. The game gives no incentive to go for crafting and that's CRITICAL!

    5. Cyberwear is another huge disappointment. Costs **** yet the impact on the gameplay is so-so.

    6. Skills and attributes mechanic has an interesting foundation but poorly executed from a game design standpoint. Most of the options are redundant and have minor reflection on the gameplay. This is another CRITICAL ERROR because the player doesn't have to be considered when building up their character. I beat the game at level 30 with over 15 skill and 8 attribute points left hanging because I was paving my way through enemies effortlessly.

    7. Main storyline is cool but the fact that it so incredibly easy to trick and beat such an advanced corporation is off-putting. Arasaka stands for the prime high-tech corpo, which is supposed to have military equipment and defenses that are supposed to require the player to invest all of his points, skills and resources in order to manage to keep it through until the end. Well, that's not the case. Again, I was having a sub-par equipment, messy skill/attribute build and I'm no hardcore FPS gamer yet this felt very unchallenging.

7.1 Adam Smasher, the final boss of the game was just as easy as an ordinary cyberphycho just with more defense and health. Big letdown on this one.

    8. Side quests were engaging but they were not even remotely close to the charm of what The Witcher 3 had to offer in terms of storywriting and game design. They feel like just another job to do for the eddies.

    9. Undeveloped FX and/or non-existent outcomes when you damage vehicles. For example, you can't break enemies's tires. The vehicles get damaged in a random and non-logical fashion, which makes the player pay less attention to his driving or care about his car/bike. Moreover, the damage gets repaired for free (and again randomly), which makes no sense.

I didn't plan to write this long but I do care about Cyberpunk 2077 and I have nothing more but willigness to encourage and support CDPR to work and expand on this universe.

However, with such big ambitions come big responsibilities, therefore very high expectations.

In that regard, take your time, learn from your own experience, player suggestions and mistakes. I hope if there will be a new Cyberpunk, it will really be a game-changing next generation game. It's got the foundation, now it's just time to build upon it and refine what's already been made.

    Real score: 6.5

When it comes to combat the guns feel good to shoot them melee weapon i can't say a lot about because i havent used them that much the only thing i hate about weapons and gear is that every 5 seconds you'll find a better weapon than what you have so you spent a long time in your inventory.

The skill tree is huge and you can't unlock a lot of levels in each skill or tree because the game is kinda stingy when it comes to xp so i feel it takes me for ever to level up.

The NPC daily routine is none existing the traffic is kinda acting weird in a lot of cases but when it comes to driving the cars feels ok and looks amazing from the outside and the inside.

CD Projekt Red offers us an eye-catching game, with a rich and detailed recreation of Night City, surpassing the expectations established in its first in-game trailer two years ago and raising a new graphic standard.
The design of all the missions is varied and shows the special dedication of its developers in making them all different and even sometimes emotional and/or exciting, whether they are the several available from the main plot or one of its many subplots.

But for its development it seems that too many resources have been dedicated to the console versions that do not propose anything technically acceptable (and that should have been canceled since they saw that they were not viable), causing a taste of unfinished soak all other sections of the game.
The city lacks interactivity, even the most basic ones: hundreds of stores with which not to interact (even though the game proposes a really overwhelming variety of items), streets full of people with whom not to share any interaction and even with behaviors as basic as erratic, bugs at all levels, sometimes serious (collision failures that cause instantaneous deaths, map exits, low poly graphics, objects melted on the ground or flying and a long etc.). ), many buildings with a lot of verticality ... but the vast majority unused and pure decoration ...

Cyberpunk 2079 was an ambitious project and really CD Projekt RED had the potential and know-how to bring it to a successful conclusion. Unfortunately, we see that at the executive level big strategic mistakes have led to the drift of what could have been the game of the decade.
The potential is there and I have no doubt that this will end up being a tremendous game but it condemns its developers to spend more time on it than should have been necessary, and it condemns players to endure disappointment in the hope of one day seeing what this role-playing game really should have been from the beginning.

The thing about this game is that... it wasnt tested by anyone before launching. There are so many things that you look for the first time and can say "it shouldnt be tthis way", the minimap, the sensibility on the car, the choice of fixed AA, the way the character follows an NPC in a cutscene, the delay you get in some actions, the transition for FPs to TPS in the car, the customizationThe thing about this game is that... it wasnt tested by anyone before launching. All this things together with all the lies about things you could have done in the game pack up in a **** gameplay in a lifeless city with the non relatable characters that appear for 10 sec in each mission it turned the game that was supposed to be revolutionary in a piece of generic junk Expand

After being torn between ignoring this game completely and giving it a shot, I opted for the latter last night. After spending a decent chunk of time with it, though it hurts to say it, I think this game is complete trash. It’s probably in large part due to the hype surrounding it and the looming shadow of Witcher 3, but it honestly feels like it’s the worst game I’ve ever played. It’s probably in large part due to the hype surrounding it and the looming shadow of Witcher 3, but it honestly feels like it’s the worst game I’ve ever played. I don’t like anything about it. The tone is weird. The dialogue is stiff and boring. The gunplay is terrible and melee so much worse. Stealth is boring and clunky. Items are uninteresting and you don’t even get to see your character evolve gear wise because it’s 1st person. Nothing feels good, not much looks good. The world is flat and boring. The side quests feel like fetch quests.

I’m blown away by the media reviews of Cyberpunk 77. If I were more of a cynic I’d say that these outlets that have given rave reviews are peeing paid to do so. I don’t see any other explanation, though. It’s a straight up mediocre game at best. After all of the great games that we’ve been treated to over the last few years, I don’t understand how anyone can think this is worth playing.

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
