    I play using a 3080 so I understand I will have a much better experience then most. I personally am loving this game I am 35 hours in. I am in love with Night city, the world is vibrant and interesting I am yet to fast travel once due to just wanting to travel through the city. I am yet to finish the story but so far the writing is impeccable and the twists and turns can really throw youI play using a 3080 so I understand I will have a much better experience then most.     Nobody has a PC capable of handling this game that i know of. It's a disaster for just about every average gamer.

    Amazing game, even with some minor bugs which don't have influence on the pleasure from the entertainment. Addictive storyline from the first minute. CdR rox!

    This is game is straight broken. The AI is dumb at best. The autodrive for your car is ridiculously bad it can create explosions and drive into stairwells. The guns are weak it's easier to jump around with a melee because the AI doesn't know how to react. This game has so many good things but battles are **** and glitches are every where. if you try to run and jump in a window itThis is game is straight broken. The AI is dumb at best.     You’ll spend most of your time in the menus clearing through all the crap loot you pick up, or cruising through YouTube videos trying to work out how their levelling up system works. When you do “play” around in the city you’ll be amazed at how shallow it is, how lifeless the NPCs are, how boring the side missions are. Oh and there’s bugs... like, a lot of them, constant crashes.    Meh...

    I play in a Ryzen 5 1600, 16 RAM, RTX 2060, 650W power supply, Asus b450m... all drivers updated, and I can't play it in 60 fps with the graphics on LOW.

    When I tryed to turn on the ray tracing, I was playing with 25 fps... that's optimized as **** I played games like Control, Assassins Creed Odyssey, Red Dead, Far Cry 5, with the graphics on ultra with 60 fps, and no problems!!!    I play in a Ryzen 5 1600, 16 RAM, RTX 2060, 650W power supply, Asus b450m... all drivers updated, and I can't play it in 60 fps with the graphics on LOW.

No. I'm gonna tell you about everything else. The story...oh my god the story. Not gonna spoil anything, but thanks to that, it ruins the phasing, the total freedom of immersion.     The story...oh my god the story. Not gonna spoil anything, but thanks to that, it ruins the phasing,
    the total freedom of immersion.

    The story quests are string together in a way that naturally you can never take a break from them and go exploring. Its always directs you right to the next story quest with **** like (alright X is waiting for you in the car right now) so even if you would have wanted to take a break and explore that one guy/girl will be there waiting for you on the side of the road for ever until you show.

    -Crafting sucks. You can only craft 1 thing at a time, which would be alright if you wouldnt need hundreds of certain items to craft guns or cloths

    -Clothing gives you armor, meaning you cant just dress up how you want unless you dont want to die from 3 shots.

    -Stealth sucks, enemies will see you through the tiniest of cracks. Hacking is redundant and pointless.

    -Melee stun locks and makes everything a breeze

    -A nicely upgraded weapon feels the same as one you loot from common enemies.

    -Characters and inconsistent as all hell. They contradict themselves all the time.

    -3 Origin stories to start with, all 3 leads to the same start/end and main character personality making it totally pointless

    -Map is filled with meaningless and boring go there beg/steal/kill/hack missions

    and I could go on and on.

    You wont feel bad skipping this over hyped ****    … Expand

    peoplg giving this game a 0 just to spite are crazies. just like TLOU part 2 that won GOTY, this game deserves a much higher score . play this game its is a great honest fun time.

    Es una total falta de respeto de Cd projekt hacia los usarios de ps4 y xbox one, como es posible que este tan mal optimizado con todo el tiempo de desarrollo que tuvo este titulo. Espero que tomen las medidas pertinentes hacia esta situación.

    I'm playing it at medium settings at 1440p on pc ( i5 3.8GHz - GTX 980 Ti ) and it's still astonishingly amazing. Can't wait to test it on ps5 with next-gen power.
    The game is a wonderful experience.

From time to time the game is also gorgeous af especially when it rains at night. Finally the music is a full 10/10, **** i love the music in this game.

    The bad: The game isn't always beautiful. I ran it on ultra settings without RTX on and especially during the day the city could look pretty ugly. The world also feels pretty soulless. When you're just driving around not doing a mission the world feels empty and without life. Most NPC's just walk around without meaning. I would love some more liveliness in the world. In the Witcher 3 Novigrad is one of the best cities i've ever seen in a game. It felt so full of life and soul, but night city doesn't feel the same. And please ****ing add a barber or plastic surgeon. I hate not being able to change my appearance after i've created my character.

    The Ugly: oh boy the bugs and performance. God does this game have bugs and no i'm not speaking about Skyrim level bugs. I'm talking Star Citizen level bugs. In my playthrough the game has crashed once which isn't that bad, but i've encountered countless bugs. Luckily most of them aren't that bad. But some of them definitely are and because of the bugs i've had to play extra careful the whole time. I've also had to reload old savefiles multiple times because a bug broke the game. Performance also wasn't great. Like i said earlier i played this game on ultra without RTX on and well my pc isn't really state of the art. At the bottom of this review i wrote my pc specs. On average i have between 30 and 45 fps. I know i could've turned my settings lower but i'm used to playing games with low fps from in my past and didn't wanna sacrifice the graphics. But needles to say the game does not perform well compared to others.

    So y'all are probably wondering why did you ****ing give it a 9? Well because this game besides all the bugs was definitely my type of game. I haven't enjoyed a game like this since a good while ago. The game is by far not for everyone and i truly feel sorry for everyone who has been misled by the marketing. This is a story game with a lot of choice in it, it's not a sandbox game like GTA. I knew what i was gonna get and i'm happy with what i got. Beneath the mess that this game is, is a truly wonderful game and that's why i gave it a 9. I do think CD Projekt RED will keep working on this game and making it better. So maybe wait a couple months and buy it then. This game is a prime example of a game which has been released too early.

    On my Win 10 PC MSI GE66, the game runs quite smoothly (60~120FPS) on Ultra and I have only encountered 2 bugs which could be easily resolved by reloading saves. Hence, I will only be talking about the game when it works as intended. I won't talk about bugs as I feel they are another topic.

    1. Story (main quest) is told in a good way for a scripted, interactive movie. But it undeniably fails as a RPG ---- which the game identifies as up until E3 2019

    2. We're playing a fun game, but NOT role-playing it

    3. Romances deliver only the bare minimum, severely lacking depth and width. For binary people of both genders, you have exactly 1 option. And that one does not even have depth or emotional moments much.

    4. Side contents are aplenty and feels huge in quantity!! ...except, most of them are fetch quests and clones of each other. The open world looks pretty but has nothing interesting to offer.

    5. Censorship exists even in non-censored versions. The game feels like Teen (T). A cyberpunk game that is devoid of all the sexy elements that make the genre exciting.

    6. A lot of cut content. All the noteworthy moments are exactly what has been advertised in those promotional videos prior to release.

    7. All possible endings feel rushed and not well thought out. The takeaway message leaves the player pessimistic and cynical.

    I can't believe I'm saying this, but Bethesda and BioWare (even with their recent wrong doings) now look like better game developers next to CDPR. If you don't trust the reviews, just play the game and see for yourself.

    Me?? I'm just glad this game gives me more reasons to go back and play those games that are actually worth it: Fallout 4, Fallout: New Vegas, Mass Effect Remastered, Dragon Age and Skyrim, etc.    … Expand

Yes, it's got a few bugs which i am sure will be remedied with time, but the only one for me that takes away from the enjoyment is it crashing, which occasionally occurs, but even then not enough for me to want to give it less than 9/10. I have got a high end PC with an RTX 3090, so i can't speak for any other setups but with mine, it delivers 90-100 fps if IAbsolutely incredible game. That is at 1440p.

    The scale and atmosphere of this game is absolutely stellar, it is a masterpiece, tweak the settings until it runs well on your set up and let your self get sucked into a living, breathing, sprawling crime ridden bladerunner-esque neon metropolis.

    If you're not sure, buy it on a service that offers refunds and see what you thin. Personally, it's the best game I've played since GTA V.    … Expand

I played almost 20 hours but never seen a game breaker bug but there is so much bugs in game. And i played in medium-low setting 30 fps with 1050TI. For me optimization is very good for now.

    A great game with a lot of bugs. CD Projekt Red has to work hard to fix the game issues, above all on PS4 fat/slim and Xbox One. After that, the game will be good for play on thoose consoles

    This game is terrible I am on X-Box series S so not to buggy But to many missions being thrown at you at one time, the map is a mess also looks like they took all the bad bits from Ubisoft games and put them together in one big mess (I am still waiting to be told to climb a watch tower/lookout point). 15 hours into the game it is so boring/tedious

    В сюжете проблема, на мой взгляд, в некой оторванности мейнквеста от побочек и изучения мира. Необязательные сюжетные задания, исследования города плохо вяжутся с основным сюжетом о срочном поиске лечения главного героя - по крайней мере в первом прохождении. Хотя многие дополнительные сюжетки раскрывают и персонажей, и вселенную намного лучше основной цепочки заданий. Удивительно, что можно вот так проскипать большую часть контента, мыслей, отсылок, творчества и завершить игру.

    С технической точки зрения - типичный "первый блин". Пока что проблемы с взаимодействием с окружением, мало активностей в мире, плохая физика автомобилей, примитивные пешеходы. Но это нормально для первой игры студии про современный мир. Движок RED будет становиться лучше с каждой новой игрой, главное не останавливаться на достигнутом.    … Expand

    Played on GoG Version and its been very good, not one crash, settings on High (Ryzen 7 2700X//2060 GFX) and running quite fine. Game world is great, detailed, sprawling and entertaining, seen some interesting things happen randomly, etc. I have put 25 hours into CP2077 and see myself putting a lot more as I roll new character to play through in a different light. Highly recommended, asPlayed on GoG Version and its been very good, not one crash, settings on High (Ryzen 7 2700X//2060 GFX) and running quite fine. Game world is great, detailed, sprawling and entertaining, seen some interesting things happen randomly, etc. I have put 25 hours into CP2077 and see myself putting a lot more as I roll new character to play through in a different light. Highly recommended, as long as you have a decent PC to run it on. CD Project I am sure will as they did with Witcher series update and patch all the issues people are having, Thankfully I have seen little of what has been reported.… Expand

    I am almost halfway through the game as a street kid. So far I am loving the game, haven't stopped playing it however there are some problems with it as well. AI needs to be worked on starting with the police AI, bugs do break the immersion .. so far I had to restart my last auto save like 6 times as of now. However not everything is that bad as how many say it is (many negative reviews are from console players or low end pc users not downplaying them, but cdpr needs to work on optimizations for them). I really like the theme, the city, the music and the story. If the bugs weren't there this would have been easily game of the year but not everything is perfect. I have been waiting for a cyberpunk theme open world game all of my life and they actually nailed it in my opinion. I just hope there is more dlc in the future (which im sure there will be) but im talking about a lot of dlc from minor things to story based or new locations. I am playing this game on a high end pc btw so my experience might differ from yours. Right now they need to work on AI and bugs though, once they sorted that out i’ll change my score to a 10 but for now its a 9. The game overall is really good and its a must buy but if you want to buy it for ps4 or xbox or for a low end pc then I suggest you wait because you will only get frustrated.… Expand

    I think with a few patches game will be amazing, right now it's still good after playing for 15h I didn't experience that much bugs that I could not play the game, I mean the story is a masterpiece, Keanu Reeves is amazing, combat is good, driving is good, don't have much complains they just need to fix few bugs and game will be a masterpiece. I will enjoy this game for 160 more hours bcI think with a few patches game will be amazing, right now it's still good after playing for 15h I didn't experience that much bugs that I could not play the game, I mean the story is a masterpiece, Keanu Reeves is amazing, combat is good, driving is good, don't have much complains they just need to fix few bugs and game will be a masterpiece.     I know people have been having issues with the game, but my experience has been amazing. I’ve played on PC for 45.7 hours and have had no crashes, and haven’t run into any game breaking bugs. I know it’s not like this for everyone playing but I can’t create a rating for others only myself.

    Сеттинг и эстетика — всё превосходно. Даже играя на моём недоигровом ноуте на низких настройках графики, можно погрузиться в атмосферу, не говоря уже о более высоких настройках графики. Все персонажи, их намерения и атмосфера мира чувствуются прекрасно, ты проникаешься историей и чувствуешь окружение.
    Графика? Да ладно, как по мне всё чудесно. Я, конечно, не графодрочер, но мне всё нравится.
    Интерактивность — есть. Разнообразие сайд-квестов — есть. Они интересны? Да, чёрт возьми! Отсылки и пасхалки — есть, видно невооружённым глазом. (Чего только стоит страх числа 91) Шуточки и прекольчики на месте. Кароче, как по мне игра почти идеальна. В любом случае явно стоит своих денег и её стоило ждать. Давно я так не погружался в историю и не испытывал столько эмоций.
    А ну и да, уровень сложности действительно ощущается и это прекрасно.    … Expand

    Great game. Minimal bugs on my end, a few visual glitches that are to be expected in a game this size. Gameplay is excellent after over 24 hours in, story and characters have excellent personality.

    Biggest marketing scam in gaming history. It just is not what was advertised. It’s nothing next level years ahead like. Having two or three dialogue options that potentially change some minor outcomes just doesn’t cut it.

    i honestly don’t understand how people defend this game or even think it’s good in any way possible. it’s truly awful and one of the most overhyped and overrated games i’ve ever played in my life. the story is the only decent part about it is the story and even that got stale very quickly. i’d basically say you should play it if you’re looking to listen to hours of useless boring dialoguei honestly don’t understand how people defend this game or even think it’s good in any way possible. it’s truly awful and one of the most overhyped and overrated games i’ve ever played in my life. the story is the only decent part about it is the story and even that got stale very quickly. i’d basically say you should play it if you’re looking to listen to hours of useless boring dialogue or to follow an npc for 15 minutes every mission which is so boring. i wouldn’t recommend this game in its current state to any person ever. the characters aren’t very strong and the dialogue kinda sucks and is very buggy. it got to the point where i decided to skip through it all towards the end of the game. the gunplay is awful and enemies soak up so many bullets, there’s no point in buying weapons bc you’ll find another one in the next mission. the movement is so clunky and feels like gtas first person which is god awful. the stealth is bad as you have no way of scoping an area out and just blindly enter to get spotted through a wall. it’s so boring sneaking around 20+ enemies in a compact area where it’s impossible to separate them and complete a stealth kill. the hacking is stupid and confusing and doesn’t do anything. the crafting system is useless bc i never once had to use it bc you have more than enough things in the game. there’s no customization for character, car, or apartment. the driving is sooooo bad and feels like gta 4. the mini map is so bad especially when driving and causes you to miss so many turns bc it doesn’t expand. the AI in the game is so bad and makes the game feel so dead. there’s no substance or life at all. the cops are dumb and just appear next to you for doing nothing or will shoot you for looking at them. there is nothing to do in the city. i play on a high end rig and the graphics are still god awful and look like a ps4 game on high settings. so many bugs, cars appear out of nowhere, so boring. don’t buy this game. at least not now. it’s so bad like probably like a 4/10… Expand

    I'm playing this game with everything cranked at about 50-70 fps. The game is amazing. Story is rich and engaging, graphics are beyond anything I've ever seen in a game before. Side quests so far are fun and there's natural breaks in the main arc that allow ample time to mess around and do them.     Some non game breaking bugs, who cares at least it's out, expected more but it's still awesome, characters have lots of options and depth, most people where expecting futuristic gta it's not grand theft auto, I would have liked to hear more electronic rock in the game personally by the likes of celldweller and zardonic but I can't complain really much about, wish it was more optimized on pc

    I got the impression that the game was created by preoccupied teenagers. In their opinion, the world of adults consists exclusively of a demonstration of rudeness, violence, exhibitionism, debauchery, swearing after every word and pretentious speeches. It was boring for me as an adult to play. At the same time, the game did not show any new unique properties.

Even the AI of GTA san andreas (a game released in 2004) is better. the story seems pretty well crafted but it's ruined by a totally empty and buggy night city that takes all the immersion out of it. The city is beautiful but not at all lively. The biggest graphic problem is the despawn of the cars and citizens as soon as they are no longer in your field of view. I don't understand why CD projekt didn't take another year to refine the game to release a game that was in accordance with what they had announced. The game in its state deserves a 3/10 but for all the optimization and performance problems (I'm lucky enough to be able to play on pc in decent condition ) I give it a 2. I hope to be able to come back here in 6 months and change my grade.… Expand

    I don't have a weak pc or console like other peasants so this game has been running very good on my rig. hardly seen any bugs like others, never had a single crash. The family time that the employees lost was really worth it. also penis2>penis1

Now now gunplay is fantastic wish sights were a bit more clear with scope on some things but over all no complaint that ruin the game for me. Now blade weapons are fun but hard to use solo as the only thing . Lvling has been ok but athletic has been unclear and hard.     - The atmosphere. CD red did an amazing job on cyberpunk universe and I fell in love with Night City, with Badlands. Every detail about infrastructure, people, media is amazing. You really feel that the city and the world around you living.
    - Quests. Like as always, storytelling, side jobs and misc quests are its own kind of art.
    - Characters. I fell in love with story characters, Jackie, Takemura, Judy, Panam, Johnny, Victor and many others. You definitely getting attached to them through gameplay.
    - Gunfight, Hacking, Melee. In general - every aspect of that is 1010.
    - Story. This is a new universe that CD Projekt introduce us to. The main story tightly bounded with side quests and completing both main and side jobs make you understand the whole story that is happening around you.

    Well, now for the Cons:
    - Story. Again? Yes. As far as I can say, its short, bittersweet and felt rushed. Maybe it because I played 40 hours straight not having a decent sleep and was playing cyberpunk only. On the other way I felt like I was limited to my decisions, there was lack of more interesting outcomes in dire situations, yet I felt that tiny changes affects my run. Yet, I felt like guys wanted to add more to the story line, to the world but felt rushed.
    - Cops. Call me a party pooper, but I expected more from law authorities. Why they spawn right behind me when I kill a bystander? I really would like to see a bit of UX improvements with cops behavior.
    - AI (all AI). Sometimes AI does great, sometimes npcs acting dumb, but I think its inherited from previous games)). Enemy behavior is mostly: Get to coverrush you with a meleehack you if you are too farshoot from the coverstand right in front of you and shoot. Its acceptable. But I happend to see enemies tryin to shoot me through the wall, stairs or simply ignoring me and staring into the abyss.
    - Crafting, I dunno its purpose and it felt useless. but maybe it was for me only.

    Not the con, but: i really wanted to see more search quests like it was with notes, or hearing something from people like it was in witcher.

    THE MAIN REASON I WAS WRITING THIS REVIEW is not for the game as it is for gaming community and for the developers, and I hope you read it well.
    (yeah, yeah, we all know that but hear me out, you are gonna understand, specially if you are console player).
    Game is bugged and we know that. It's bugged cause we are rushed developers to release it, yet it would be bugged if it was given proper QA and one more year of development, but this is not a point. This is what happens when you try to rush a developer, and this is what happens when the guys who make calls for production, marketing, thinks its a great Idea to release game too early knowing that devs didnt finish it yet. Crunches, death threats, delays. And here is the result.

    Gamers, you cry that game is bugged? Well, its your problem. You all rushed it, now take it.
    Console players are crying cause their buckets of bolts cannot run next-gen game on ps4 or xOne? What you expect from a peace of gear from stone-age?
    I really hope you will understand that you are not entitled to even butthurt about it, cause you knew that it was not ready yet.

    Production company and whoever calls for release inside Projekt Red. Crunches, early release dates even when you knew that game is not ready? I really wanted to see game go TBA and be treated well but it seems you tried to put everything on marketing.

    Devs. You are the badass mfkers. My infinite thank you and respect for busting your asses to make this Art. I know that some time after, people will really appreciate this game and I know that you'll fix it and will make it even better. Cant wait to see what dlcs and multiplayer will look like.

    If you dont have wooden PC it runs perfectly. I am playing at 100 fps at ultra graphic, it looks good. Recommend for everyone who looks for best RPG in the history (equaly with Witcher 3)

    A inteligencia artificial perde para quanquer jogo de playstation 2, a destruição dos carros é ridicula(nem furam o pneu), e para um rpg suas escolhas não tem peso algum.

    Amazing game!! Think your system has to be pretty beefy but never before am I sidetracks based on graphics alone, you just want to explore everywhere and the LOD on random characters is amazing. Textures, diversity and everything about it I find incredible.

Gunplay, movement, and melee all feel solid, which was a huge relief as I found myself being concerned from the footage I'd seen in trailers. If you're looking for the BEST of each of those aspects separately, then you'll want to look elsewhere. There are tons of games who handle shooting, driving, and swordplay better, but if you want a complete package with a fantastic world full of well-written characters, then look no further than CP2077.    … Expand

    despite all the buggs and problems with stability - this still is a great game . i enjoyed the story , the atmosphere of futuristic city , the soundtrack and design of weapons and environment . i think that people who are hating on this game - had their expectations set way too high . i hope that cd projekt red will fix buggs with patches soon and then this game will be a 10/10 from me .

The graphics is very nice as you probably know (running on medium/high settings on my 1070 just fine). The game play itself is okay, it's 3d shooter with a mix of gta, deus ex and borderlands. The hacking and stealth aspects seem a bit underdeveloped and not very interesting so I mostly play the game as 3d shooter with occasional use of stealth or hacking which seems to work fine and what the game seems to be designed for. The crafting mechanics seem a bit pointless as after 30 hours I haven't even touched crafting yet. One aspect of the game that I dislike is the gear you get - there does not seem to be much thought put into different classes and gear sets and that sort of thing (like combat vs hacker vs stealth gear types that would promote different styles of game play) - it seems to be completely random which also makes things a bit silly. A tank top can have higher armor than armor plate carrier vest, etc. which means that most of the time you look quite stupid as you just use whatever has the highest stats, even if it makes no visual sense. None of these things are major issues though and so far the game is fine, but my next few point are big ones - the story, the characters and the quests are all not very good. The main story is not very interesting, it seems to be a classic "taking down the system" type story but so far it is a bit bland. The characters are also bland and uninteresting - you don't spend enough time with anyone so they just come and go and I don't care about any of them, I don't even remember their names. One slightly interesting character is Johnny Silverhand played by Keanu Reeves - he's a bit of an a-hole but at least you get to know him a bit and is at least memorable somewhat and the circumstance of our relationship (without going into spoilers) is a bit different than I expected (I'd like to point out that I knew pretty much nothing about CP2077 before playing it, I completely missed the hype train and everything which was probably a good thing). A big missed opportunity are the side quests in my opinion - they are very bland. The side quests usually revolve around killing or rescuing someone or stealing some documents from some computer. But whats the real problem is that they get none of the well crafted stories like we've seen in Witcher 3. You get most of the side missions simply by a phone call and a text message, no meeting of interesting characters, no cut scenes, no dialogs, no decisions to be made, etc. which is really disappointing. The side quests in Wither 3 were very well done, with interesting stories being told and some very memorable moments. Unfortunately in CP2077 there's none of that, that's a very big step back, the side quests are dime a dozen and forgettable, one just like the others. Overall the game is a bit of a let down. It's far from terrible as some people try to imply but it's also a big missed opportunity. Ultimately, while the game play is enjoyable enough, the game just becomes bland and boring, which I mostly attribute to uninteresting story, characters and side quests. I will probably finish the game but so far the game hasn't really hooked me. I think 6 or 7 out of 10 is fair score.… Expand

    But somehow, somewhere along the way, we forgot what it meant to build things of quality and to do business with integrity, to serve with quality, to be proud in ones work and in ones creation.

    This game is the metaphorical cherry on the top of the steaming pile of crap bags that has been 2020.

    The gut wrenching disappointment was actually upsetting. I had my car stolen last year, and somehow buying Cyberpunk 2077 was worse, whoever stole my car, maybe needed the money, was in a tight spot, and was just stealing my car, not lying for years and months before hand, convincingly enough to get me excited, to then just rob me.

    To those at CDPR, do what is right, make a statement, admit wrong doing, pay refunds, and maybe you can regain some honour and try again in the future, with integrity and with the consumer in mind.    … Expand

    While certainly having an interesting premise, world, and world-building, there is not much to the game, and it was severely over-hyped.

    The AI is pitiful, and mostly non-existent, and despite the claims of CDPR that they have perfected their quests, I have not seen so in 24 hours of gameplay. Some things can be improved, but the horrible AI and mediocre quests will not.

Then Add the illusion breaking bugs and awful graphical detail making me lose interest in any plots or story lines I’m quested on. Bugged out environments also meaning frustration by simply trying to call a lift and insanely awful graphics and buildings/ cars not rendering making night city ugly, empty and completely unexplorable. The only positives I’ve gotten are voice acting seems pretty decent and the music is sensational but that’s it. Maybe in time there will be something resembling the game that was promised and I can actually play it. But right now CDPR sold a lie fully aware of the state this game is in. there are PS1 games that look far better and play far better than this. if any other company made this there would be endless backlash and refunds, the only reason it hit a 90 rating is thanks to reviewers being forced to only play high spec PCs. Had they of been given the PS4 version it’s be a 2/10. As for now I wasted £50 I would highly suggest to others to save their money and maybe check back a year from now and see what state it is in on console and low to mid spec PCs.… Expand

Regarding movement, there are a lots of different vehicles, each one with a different feeling when it comes to riding. I myself have found that motorcycles are the best for me, as they occupy a smaller area and allows me to weave through alleys and travel in style, most of the times not really following the GPS. Now, when it comes to movement on feet, I feel like there could have been some improvements; while vaulting obstacles can easily come in handy, considering the skill-tree (specifically Body>Athletics), there could have been some more options, be it actually climbing or more flashy moves, such as wall-running (which used to be a mechanic, but was removed). However, to compensate the lack of upgrades, there are Cyberware for legs. Not sure if there are more than the two default ones (Reinforced Tendons/Knees), but they certainly grant us better vertical mobility.

    [ Gameplay - Combat Options ]
    As promised, combat IS incredibly flexible. One moment you'll be sneaking-in, hacking through cameras, pinging enemies via Quickhacks, neutralizing then without them even learning about your presence; and in a few hours you'd be kicking doors open, shooting through walls and bodies, painting the floor red with your enemy's blood while making a loud show, destroying walls with shotguns, exploding your foe's out of cover with grenades, and so on. Combine that with the skill-tree system and you'll probably never engage in combat the same way you did in the past. While some might find it too boring to sneak-in, being non-lethal and relying only on your Quickhacks, some might find it it incredibly fun. While I'm more of a stealthy-guy, there had been times where I didn't even need to kill any enemy, or even affect them at all. I've got to say; Whistle has definitely been my most used Quickhack.

    [ Gameplay - Gun and Melee Combat ]
    Gun combat is flawless and extremely satisfying. The feedback you get from enemy reactions to your shots make each shot worth it, unless you miss. Each headshot, be it with a handgun, a rifle or a shotgun makes you feel like you're used to pull the trigger, which not only feels totally badass, but also matches the Cool skill-tree "Cold Blood"s tab. Enemies will make use of the scenario, they will take cover, they will try to engage you out of your field of view and will try to shoot explosives if you're near then. Along with that, you can always use cover, as aiming from near the edge will instantly lean in, being extremely useful for chaotic or stealthy combat. Now, melee combat...quite disappointing. It can be fun at times, but it lacks impact. Enemies wait too much for your actions, their dodges feel random and hitting and being hit doesn't feel right. Haven't took attention to that, but I'm pretty sure there isn't even a camera shake when you're punched. Being a melee combat lover, I wish it had been better, specially with Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms and Monowire Cyberwares being a thing.

    [ Game Design - General World Building]
    Cyberpunk 2077 has created a huge, realistic and immersive cyberpunk universe. While it does have some of the common clichés (which I won't point out to avoid spoilers), it certainly made it believable and fun to be in. Playing as a Nomad, a Street Kid or a Corpo, you WILL feel like you were born in this dystopic world, where you have to set high goals, you have to do the dirty work and will have to risk your life to grow in life, to mark the streets, to be known. Positively, or negatively. I chose being a Nomad, and I feel like one when I'm playing, I feel like I shouldn't trust those so called allies, I feel like any single main mission will end up badly, and I feel like I'm getting closer and closer to having a huge bounty over my head. That's how immersive Cyberpunk has been for me in those rough +50 hours of gameplay.

    [ Performance ]
    I do not own a high-end pc. GTX 1050 graphics card, Intel Core I5 processor, 8GB RAM. While my PC is not below the minimum specs requirements, it is also not above the recommended, and still, I play on a really stable framerate of 30-60+ fps at the Medium graphics level. There is sometimes where the framerate suddenly drops, mostly when I'm driving, but still, it doesn't really affect the gameplay most of the times. This review was sent in 12/13/2020, so there is still a lot of updates and fixes when it comes to that, however, knowing CD Projekt Red, they will clearly fix all issues as soon as possible, as they had done already in the first 48 hours of release. This game IS a 10/10, totally worth your money. Wake up, Samurai.    … Expand

    Compare it with other Open-World RPGs that came out THIS (2020) year. Are those masterpieces that launched glitch-less ? How about some older games? Was Fallout 4 PERFECT? You have NEVER encountered graphic glitches in Red Dead Redemption 2 ? Is AC Valhalla running in full 4k with HDR @60 fps in fight scenes with 20+ characters on screen?.

    With all the scope considered (a whole MASSIVE city that's NOT EMPTY, fully voiced in several languages) is this a worse game than Spelunky 2? Should you ask for your money back and go play the highest rated PS4 game - Dragon Quest XI S (a switch port btw) ? Or, maybe, a more mature game like Yakuza Like a Dragon perhaps ?

    CD Project RED will optimize it further for older consoles like PS4 / XB1, but in the current state the game is perfectly playable. You are not being fair to DEMAND the same level of 4k with ray-tracing possible on a GTX 3090 (that is a 2000 USD card + a desktop costing at least another 1500 USD) from a 300 USD console from 2013 or your trusty PC/Laptop from 2015...

    I cannot believe PPL giving it a ZERO or 1-2-3 ratings! Those marks do not relate to the game. Those are given in frustration and over-expectations. There are still one million games playing a single player game on STEAM and probably hundreds more on GoG, yet only 4k bothered to write negative reviews and 8k positive one. Lets say 20 000 out of 1 000 000 is 2% = two percent, that make this "User Score".

Don't read too much into players **** on the game for these reasons, experience it for yourself and make your own judgment, The only downfall this game has is that CDPR decided to try and release it on XBox One and PS4 (X and Pro versions included), that hardware just cannot hope to deliver justice to the Cyberpunk vision. If you're thinking about buying it for these consoles I'd reconsider postponing until you can get a XBox Series X, PS5 or decent gaming PC. I'm going to play through the street kid storyline and save the other two for the update that is dropping next year, what I can say is the game still looks and plays really well on Series X (and I'm assuming PS5 too) even though there are still bugs for CDPR to fix, I've not encountered any game breaking ones but have had Johnny Silverhand leaving floating cigarettes in cut scenes and a couple of pauses in other cut scenes.     Even though the game has technical issues on ps consoles (played it on ps5), it is still a great game

    I thoroughly enjoyed the story, the side quests and activities and the characters. A **** great game, wish that CDPR focused on 1/2 platforms so that user scores would be 9/10 and they wouldn’t be stressed about the current situation.

    I played this on my ps4 pro. I experienced some bugs but no where near the ones I've read about. And in my opinion the bugs I experienced are a small and get quickly drowned out by the beautiful graphics, large and always populated city, amazing story, and unbelievably amazing progression system the game offers. Crafting is so useful, for the iconic gear its so refreshing to see a gameI played this on my ps4 pro. I experienced some bugs but no where near the ones I've read about. And in my opinion the bugs I experienced are a small and get quickly drowned out by the beautiful graphics, large and always populated city, amazing story, and unbelievably amazing progression system the game offers. Crafting is so useful, for the iconic gear its so refreshing to see a game doesn't punish you for mistakenly breaking down unique items in the inventory. But rather rewards you for diligently using its crafting system. To upgrade your favorite items. There is a lot to love about this game, and I can honestly say I've never played any game like it. But like all games it has its short comings. Which is fine, the patches are coming out and the game will only get better. after 10 years of production we still got an amazing game. To all the negative reviews, all I can say is the patches are coming CD Project Red is good for it and you know it. Besides with the sheer amount of replay ability this game offers your lying to your self if you think you wont at least try the game again with a new life path. Not replaying a game like this is just throwing money away.… Expand

    Super shallow, bug ridden, performance hog of a game. The open world is beautiful, but you can only look; do not touch. Combat is terrible. And AI enemies are omniscient. Your ally AI? Yeah they might as well not even be there, in fact it would be better if they weren’t. Just not enjoyable in the least. A 4 is generous.

    Running on PS5 with LG CX OLED the game looks washout and blurry. Not a true HDR experience. Graphics on certain object look terrible. The game has over promised and under-delivered, it doesn’t feel ready. It might get better with further patches. I’m tempted to leave them game and come back to it in 6 months.

    The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

    Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

    Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
