Very immersive, fun game to play on pc. The city is soo breathtaking that sometimes I’ll just walk instead of drive to go to quest markers. Never even used fast travel, which IMO gets rid of the immersive feeling. The combat is alright, but I really enjoy hacking/breaching enemies with stealth. Before purchase as of /12/13/20, be warned that you are rolling a 50/50-dice of a positive or negative technical experience. For PC I'd say it's a 9/10 or a high 8/10, and for console it's a high 7- close to a 8 depending on your generation of console; For example, Xbox One S generation faces a low 7/10 for some major graphical and overall performance issues. Again, all patch-able, but not good for a three delayed start of an launch for a game like CP77.
In conclusion, this is a beautiful game that was obviously developed with an overwhelming of passion for this fictional dystopian future world of Cyberpunk 2077. If you're looking to be whatever you want in a Bladerunner esque future and possibly **** up ya mind by taking your character down a Lawnmower Man path, or be a Hitman kinda guy; whoever it is that you desire to be, CP77 has it for you. You'll have a blast even with the inconveniences that are there in it's launch.
I hope you enjoy this game if you have it already or when you do pick it up; There is plenty more to discuss about, but I believe I put together what there is to basically expect from its launch version. Enjoy!!

Cyberpunk 2077 manages to deliver a story that recognizes it's roots as a TTRPG but doesn't limit itself because of those roots. Very solid character and world building lead to a memorable experience. Only thing holding it back from a 10 is the fact of bugs and some shsstems in combat and interaction not being fleshed out to it's fullest.

As an rpg i am most intrested in the missions , the variety , story line , choices and quantity and in this game should we ignore the main quests cause i do not want to qpoil , the side missions are mind blowing , the variety in them the story behind them the characters and relationships you build that unlock diffrent paths in the main quests is amazing , from races to fighging championships to stealing stuff to going on dates to sitting around fire and drinking in the name od the lost ones waw just waw , i found myself pulling up my phone to call characters cause i was so invested in the rest od their side mission story . There is no need to talk about night city we all saw that and i think even the haters are impressed with the pure genius behind it , the variety of places the verticality of it , just awesome really , and i only fast traveled once in about 20 hrs of gameplay cuz i was that much enjoying riding my bike oe car around the beautiful town with the amazing driving controls just drifting around corners . Granted the game could feel a bit too much at first lots of stuff to take in lots of items here and there combats feels soo diffrznt to other fps games and so on but trust me give it some time till you get your mission with silverhand and by then youll love it . Do all in all go buy the game and don second guess it youll have a great experience (ps am playing on stadia so i dunno bout that console thingy goin and i can say stadia version is smooth) Expand

The game looks amazing but as a result it runs poorly for most people which is part of the reason I will not give the game a 10 in its current state. another reason is the amount of bugs present, personally I havent encountered anything game breaking but definetly a couple immersion breaking bugs. I think the game is getting more hate than it deserves though, most likely due to all the hype and that people who don't really like this type of game are playing it anyway just because of how popular it is.

To sum up my review when the game is working and running properly it is absolutely breathtaking. especially if you take the time to do some of the side missions to help further connections with some of the characters. But the game does have an ugly side, being the present bugs but I have no doubts that CDPR will do everything they can to fix the asap.

Almost 30 hours in, this feels like the best game I've played in years. Certainly, some of my expectations did not meet reality, but they do not diminish the accomplishments of CDPR and its dev team on this game.
Bugs are present, and perhaps a new release, focused on an early 2021 launch, would do the game much better and present it to the world as it should have been: the most ambitious game of this generation, a deservingly ending for it. However, they do not interfere with gameplay, and as they give the game a feeling of "unfinishedness", it still manages to achieve what it has set to do. Note, however, what it has set to do is not necessarily what some people would have expected from it.
Marketing was misleading, indeed, and yet, the more serious and rational conversations surrounding the game were realistic. That came from the community, not from CDPR. Those folks in the community, I expect, were not disappointed in the slightest, perhaps if so, only by the bugginess still present even with the 1.04 patch. Once the game is finished, however, it will feel 100% as it's supposed to, not just 90%.
Still, I shall not engage with the negative reviews here seen. Believe me when I say it: There is absolutely no way you can evaluate this game that's not above a 6,5/10 score and still make yourself out to be honest. And trust me, you'll only get that score if you overinflate the issues, and diminish the achievements, which might as well be personal taste, but can too, be dishonesty and perhaps a tad of personal bitterness. Take note, the achievements heavily outweigh the issues.
As CDPR continues working on Cyberpunk 2077, I expect it to become the most highly-achieving product of the later 2010s. Expect DLCs to be amazing, and patches to be incredible. However, CDPR needs to seriously rethink its strategy, how they deal with the public, how they manage hype, and how they manage their own projects and employees. Certainly, this game is not deserving of a Best Director award. Nonetheless, the dev team has made it a gem of the most precious kind, even if unpolished for now.
Still, a couple of features are missing, but not those that people usually complained about. The game does not need car customization, it does not need more apartments, but it does need in-game character customization. Which is odd to lack for such a game.
Now for the positive: everything else.
CDPR has gilded the genre of RPG with Cyberpunk 2077. The dialogues are extremely good, and the quests and story surpass even the highest possible expectation. Characters are deep, complex, and feel real. Night City feels real, a living, breathing gigantic organism that is indeed a character in the game. The game is rich, feels alive, and feels like what the next generation should be about. Other companies making RPGs are seriously in trouble now if it's expected of them to achieve the standard CDPR has set with Cyberpunk for this new generation.
Without spoiling, this game will take you to places you never imagines possible from the beginning, and you'll be at the edge of your city. As always, hang in there for the prologue to finish, once it does, you're in for the most delightful treat gaming could ever offer.
The sometimes overwhelming options and possibilities are easy to get used to, and once you set a path for yourself and your character, the city becomes the scenario of your most ambitious project for fun. Filled with surprises, details that cater to everyone, Night City is for you, but also not. It's for everyone in its own way. Cyberpunk is the next step towards RPG, and it dared not taking a step only, but a leap. A leap that fell short on landing, but is still the world record so far.
Go on, take part on that leap yourself. Feel the wind against your face, and the adrenaline rush you're definitely going to have. Beware of the landing and the initial bugs and glitches, but do note, however, that they do not make it any less amazing than what it's set to be. Be prepared, have a decent rig, and dive into this amazing achievement by the team behind its making. Don't worry, you'll love it.

So far I'm really impressed. It looks amazing, it's stable, the story so far is absolutely unique.. It runs like a pig on a 3080 at 4k, but it's a next gen title.. I'd give it a few decimal points off for some visual glitches and that there's no character reflections.. Why give us such a large scope to customise our character if we can basically never see them?

Currently playing this on Series X and so far (fingers crossed) it's been pretty bug free. I do think an optimised version of this would have helped it as there is parts of the game which do look outdated, but I don't mind it that much. So far it feels extremely immersive and an RPG which I feel I will be dipping in and out of for years to come.

Now, as a disclaimer (and insight into my subjective opinion), some of my favorite games have been bethesda games, specifically Fallout: New Vegas and Skyrim. So maybe i have a stockholm syndrome with bugs, but they don't bother me that much. What I am trying to say here is that bugs are not fun, but If there is a well designed game beneath those bugs, I am willing to look past it. Its much harder to change a games core design rather than patch bugs. Now getting on to the review.

Cyberpunk is a very very impressive game, with some very noticeable, but serviceable issues. Let's start with the most glaring issues:

    - Ai is lacking. Most noticeably for me is the police AI, which spawns around you when you get stars, and wont chase you past a few blocks. Makes me believe that there is no driving AI.

    - Bugs. Most common in my playthough have been NPC's walking through objects/general collision failure. Additionally, One time I got stuck in geometry and had to load a save a few minutes earlier, and I have had one crash to desktop with approx. 25 hours played.

-Performance. I have a 1080 TI, 16 gb of ram, a I7 8700k, and a 3440x1440 ultrawide monitor. Generally, I have to run the game on medium to reach even 50 fps average. This is not well optimized.

Now onto what I deem to be the good parts of the game that make it a 9/10 regardless for me.

    - Jaw-dropping world-design. Honestly, I really don't get the complaints about how the city feels empty. The sidewalks are constantly bustling with NPCs, and the architecture of night city is so well thought out and feels so believable that I have spent hours traversing the city on foot. It feels to me like a real dystopian city that could be lived in.

    - Characters and story-telling. I couldn't engage with the witcher 3, but I could appreciate how good of a game it was through its story and characters. Same deal with Cyberpunk. The characters are believeable, they feel human, and you get attached. The story is well thought out and makes for an enjoyable RPG experience.

-Gameplay. This might be a controversial one, But I like the gameplay in Cyberpunk. When I compare this game to something in my head, I tend to compare it to Deus Ex or Fallout. And I believe it supercedes either game vastly in the breadth of its character design (stat distribution) and just general design of core gameplay loop.

-Gameplay Pt 2. Like Deus Ex, Cyberpunk gives you a lot of freedom in how you approach your problems. Do you wanna hack your enemies to commit suicide and turn all enemy turrets friendly? Do you want to stealth through missions without alerting anyone? Want to go hog wild and beat everyone in visible sight to death with your cybernetic gorilla arms? Its all possible, and this is the part that will most likely keep me playing even after I complete it.

-Graphics. As mentioned before I am running a 1080 Ti with 16 gb of Ram and a i7-8700k at 3440x1440. So with all of this I generally prefer a higher framerate than the most minute improvements in graphics, and I can tell you that even on medium or even low, the game world looks absolutely stunning. There are times where I just stop driving or whatever I'm doing just to admire the graphical fidelity and environmental detiail.

-Personal Bias? I love the genre of cyberpunk, and all the critiques it holds of our modern society. So this is why I dont understand when people say that this game isn't on brand or faithful to the genre. There's a line early on about how full prisons are, a notable jab at current insitutions. In addition many of the commericials and satire in the game tend to remind me of cyberpunk novels like that of snowcrash. I can't really comment on what cyberpunk really has to say until I finish the game, but I am satisfied with what is has said so far, in regards to the current systems we live under.

Overall, I really love cyberpunk. The bugs aren't that bad. Having to play on low doesn't really bother me because the game still looks great. The story is engaging and the characters make you want to care about them. The core gameplay loop may be a lil week at the beginning, but as with any other RPG, once you get your build rolling, everything opens ups. I've been getting lost in the world, and I suggest you do too.

One final note: I don't understand the comparisons between this game and GTA. This is an open-world RPG in the vein of the Witcher, fallout, or deus ex. And I think it nails the feeling of those games perfectly in a cyberpunk world. This game perfectly meets my expectations, and those were that it would be great.

Cyberpunks biggest advantage is night city and the world ist astonishing, I can’t really make out how the bad reviews blame the city being dead, it’s not as alive as the demo from years ago but it’s very much alive and not cut down such as anthem..

Gunplay and gameplay in general is also great, didn’t expect such good gunplay from an RPG.

Progression and character levelling feels good, you have a rich skill tree to build your character.

And last but not least the story which is so well, I’m 30 hours in and only finished the prolog and a bit of the quests after..
Cyberpunk is fantastic and did deliver 100% for me.

The game however should be treated as a next gen release and a pc game for mid to high range pcs.

Don’t try to run this game on a gtx 980 and expect steady 60fps in the buzzing city centre.

All in all my Game of the year by far ! For me it’s a true masterpiece. Experience it for yourself and don’t be scared away by the anger of those who just have too bad pcs and blame it on the game not having miracle optimisation to run it on a launch PS4 that can’t even run gta 5 smoothly. Don’t be unrealistic.

If you, however have a good pc or a next gen console, this game is a must have and you will sink hundreds of hours into it! Enjoy!

Need to increase performance in some areas. Its laggy in some outdoor places. The story and the graphics though are just amazing. Its CPU limited even on a 9th Gen i7. Am sure its going to get better. I hope. Graphics and story are amazing. Has a few glitches here and there which I hope gets rectified soon. Giving it an 9 right now. Will increase once bugs and performance is fixed. Hopefully.

It feels awesome to hit a headshot with the Nekomata and see how much damage it does. Cutting off body parts with the katana also feels cool, you can really feel the impact the weapon has on the enemy when you hit. The random encounters are also pretty cool, but I don't always go for them. The city itself is super detailed and it's fun to look at it while driving, i really appreciate the details its insane. I get lost for hours in this game just doing missions and randomly driving/walking through night city.

What's really bad is the AI of npcs, police and driving npcs. Thats by far the worst part of the game and i hope they will fix it, i hate it. I hope they will work on that, this game would be really amazing with a better AI. The bugs are very bearable for me on the Pc, nothing gamebreaking, but sometimes quite annoying. The game is what I expected, awesome story missions, side quests and cool characters and the rest is rather mediocre. But I am surprised how much fun the gunplay is. I hope they bring in the announced free dlcs a few hairdressers in the city, make the arcade machines usable and continuously bring more cars (there are really too few, I constantly see only the same ones) or weapons. I would give the game in the current state (on pc!) maybe a 8.5/10, because i really appreciate Questing, the Stories and the city.

The game looks and feels great, there are many bugs still in there but I haven't found anything game breaking in my 21 hours of gameplay. I still would call it a dumb release, clearly they needed more time and I would have rather waited a bit longer than seeing the game realeased as incomplete as it is. Still a great game and he deserves this score imo

It is clearly without a doubt this game needs some major polishing. There also needs to be a lot of content added like more weapons and clothing/armor. However not everything is that bad as how many say it is (many negative reviews are from console players or low end pc users not downplaying them, but cdpr needs to work on optimizations for them). I really like the theme, the city, the music and the story. If the bugs weren't there this would have been easily game of the year but not everything is perfect. I have been waiting for a cyberpunk theme open world game all of my life and they actually nailed it in my opinion. I just hope there is more dlc in the future (which im sure there will be) but im talking about a lot of dlc from minor things to story based or new locations. I am playing this game on a high end pc btw so my experience might differ from yours. Right now they need to work on AI and bugs though, once they sorted that out i’ll change my score to a 10 but for now its a 9. The game overall is really good and its a must buy but if you want to buy it for ps4 or xbox or for a low end pc then I suggest you wait because you will only get frustrated. Expand

The visuals are just unmatched, and the level of detail is astonishing. Some poor Polish guy had to sit and draw every single one of those pieces of graffiti and model all those plastic flamingos and whatnot, and his/her effort shows.

    The bad:
Textures and models occasionally pop in late even on good hardware.
The minimap is zoomed in too close, so if you look away from the minimap while driving (for example, to look at all the breathtaking scenery your GPU is struggling so hard to render) you'll miss your turn.
(Note to devs: even Geralt's horse had an auto-pilot setting. Why can't my futuristic motorcycle drive itself while I gawk at the city?)

A tip: if you have a good internet connection, try it on a streaming service like GeForce Now. This game definitely benefits from RTX.

ONCE in my game an NPC dissapeared in front of me, a couple of times I've had problems with light on characters. Never crashed, never randomly dropped FPS to 0, never lost my peepee or something. I think, most of the people just blew everything about the bugs out of proportion.

As of now, game is 8 or 9 for me. Performance could use some work, but I'm playing on 1060 6GB and Ryzen 2700 on ~45 FPS on a mix between High/Med with some optiions turned off on 1080p resolution. This is a next gen game, so this performance on something released 5-6 years ago is expected.

The story ( as of now, haven't played much ) is really nice. There's a lot of talking Deus Ex style, and a lot of looting Borderlands style. I really like most thing about the gameplay itself, it's just the performance and minor bugs, that bring the game down a little.

    I'm putting it at 9. :)

P.S I compare this back to Skyrims first released, had dragons either static in the air for easy low level killing or flying around backward spitting fire out their tails. Cyberpunk is no where near as bad as skyrim was and even then that was funny.

    Плюсы+++

Screw the hate: it's not perfect, but it's massive and for every bad thing there are ten awesome ones. I've done around 60 quests and played around 40 hours, yet I have not faced a single crash or game-breaking bug. And that's on a meager laptop running a GTX1050TI and an i5 8300H.

Characters? Great. Voice acting? Amazing. Combat? Can be frustrating at times, but very satisfying once

Characters? Great. Voice acting? Amazing. Combat? Can be frustrating at times, but very satisfying once you get the hang of it. Crafting? A bit underdeveloped, but it works. Driving? Kinda wonky, not gonna lie. Details? The city is full of them, little things that show CDPR really put a lot into this game.

So far I've made friends with an autonomous cab company, had cyber-augmented sex inside a flying tank and stole a futuristic Bozosoku bike from a gang I just murdered: that's Cyberpunk and it's fun as heck. Sure, the first couple of hours are slow and combat feels sometimes too hard, like in any RPG, but give it the chance and it'll slowly but surely win you over.

I haven't had any game breaking bugs, only minor graphical glitches. The story and world is addicting, I cant wait for them to patch out the issues so everyone on console can see the game at its best

Don't really have much to critique about the game other than that the performance could be better, although I do have all Ray tracing settings enabled (also dlss). I know most people have experienced some pretty hilarious bugs, but I haven't seemed to encounter any yet. Must just be lucky I guess. Love the story so far and the combat is fun.

This game is amazing, if your playing it on a old gen console please don't even rate the game. We all know it looks like hot garbage for you. I play on pc and it runs flawlessly at 1080 on ultra with medium ray tracing, solid 60fps all day. Hardware:

The game design and art direction is spot on, all the customization in the world, but with RPG stats. The game looks beautiful. Cut scenes are amazing. Gameplay is fun and engaging, with apex like shooting, plenty of weapon customization and body mods to really make your character your own. Only have had a few visual and sound bugs but it pays amazing. If you don't play it on a SSD your probably not going to have a good time. The main story is really cool! Definitely makes you want to keep going, with a little bit of dialogue options to get you to be lines or different story direction. Your faction you chooses in the beginning alerts the intro to the game. Which is about 4 hours long if you just do that. I'm about 50 hours in so far and love this game. Have not even completed the story yet because of the million side quests there are to complete.

The world is immersive and just enjoyable to be in. I would recommend this game to anyone who liked gta, deus ex, skyrim. It's a little of all that combined into one.

Maybe I'm just not doing the right type of quests. The hacking mechanic is kinda hard to get used to but I'm getting better at it. The two things I have spent money on in the game was the mantis arms and one car. I'm loving this game.

One of the best games! Gameplay, story, graphics and mechanics are at the highest level. One problem with this game is marketing. (I have an Intel i5-9600K and RTX 3060Ti). It is sad that every buyer cannot experience the maximum of what the game offers. Yes, there are mistakes, but from my perspective, the game is as bad as Assassins Creed Valhalla at the premiere, if not worse. In AC, I was experiencing huge frame drops while maintaining the AVG 60 FPS. The game will never be repaired on XONE and PS4, the only option is to buy a new generation of consoles or buy a powerful PC. However, when we have the equipment, the game is incredibly addictive. I spent similar sessions on the game only in GTA San Andreas, GTA 5, Witcher 3 and Diablo 3. It is a pity that the title was advertised as an action FPS and something that works on the old generation. I wish everyone a lot of fun! Expand

Genuinely enjoy the game so far.
The way you can run across events the leveling system and variations in cloths, weapons, abilities, and over all characters build/creator seem like a nice step up and I hope they add more in DLC. The complaints I'm hearing from others seem small and isn't worth being upset about cause it's all simply fixable by updates.

Plot, characters, gameplay, optimisation and all things that developers were responsible for during the development was done on glorious level, There are some issues with bugs and performance, but still it is such a miracle that my pc can launch it. Textures and visuals are amazing even on medium settings, so it is clearly understandable why system requirements are so high.

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
