    It is just objectively a bad game, it brings nothing to the table that others don't do better.

    bad game play, bad story, and the worst AI i have seen since the original deus ex.

    DO NOT buy this game, refund it if you can.

    The game is a shallow shell that just hosts the story. The city is beautiful but its the most dead half baked thing ive played in a long while. Npcs are dumb as posts and anything other than the story just feels half done.

    All the customization and things that make a city feel alive besides the crowds of zombie npcs is non existent.

    It's just doesn't work. Gameplay failed, physics and animations failed, car driving, shooting mechanics failed, violet fog is everywhere and eating your eyeballs you literally can't see 10 meters in front of you. Flashes and smoke out of gun barrel like you shooting pirate ship cannon. The only thing you can see - the interface, hp bars, neon bright stuff that just overloaded. Oh really,It's just doesn't work.     The fact that the crashes and bugs overshadow the extremely poor open world tells you enough. Games from 15 years ago have better AI. Embarassing!

They lied about MULTIPLE different systems and features. Said the game was immersive and open world. It isn't. The city feels empty and lifeless. The AI is worse than GTA San Andreas' AI.     DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

    1. A narrative-heavy game that is clearly influenced by Mass Effect and its like should have at least had the *option* to be played in 3rd Person. Not having that option hurts the game and makes you feel distant from the character you spend so much time creating in the beginning.

    2. There are *no* cutscenes where your character interacts as themselves. I'd be more likely to forgive number 1 if cutscenes or conversations were from a third person view so you could see your character's cool clothes or watch them interact, but nothing. You practically never lay eyes on your character - the customization is worthless.

    3. The first person combat is jagged and hard to follow if you're not fairly familiar with modern FPS format shooter games. Claims were made that the game is more RPG than FPS, but those claims are inaccurate. The game is very, *very* FPS.

    4. Conversational choices in the "RPG" side of the game do little to influence the story. Admittedly, it took me about 8 hours to get through the introductory act/tutorial (I was exploring a bit), but the conversations only seem to give the illusion of choice and are - in fact - fairly linear.

    5. Sound system bugs that are unforgivable for a post-beta product.

    6. Minor, but consistent, graphical bugs that would be acceptable if they were the only problem.

    7. Keanu **** Reeves. Seriously, I thought this would be an acceptable gimmick, but by the time you're fishhooked into Keanu being all in your face, it just feels like he's being crammed down your throat (phrasing boom!)

    8. Scenes / portions that are direct rip offs from other games, movies and TV. (Detroit, I'm looking at you). This is less of a problem - again - but made more serious by the fact that the rest of it wears you down so much.

    9. Minor "lack of polish" issues. When you pull your gun in a particular scene at one point in the game to threaten an NPC, its the gun you started the game with - even if you don't have one of those in your inventory anymore and no longer have it equipped. Really irritating kinds of things that are just a sign of either lazy design or things that got missed in the rushed production.

    10. The male voice actor is not good. Not as bad as male Shepard, but not good. Makes immersion that much more difficult.

    11. I'm sorry, but it really needs to be mentioned twice. The total lack of 3rd person perspective - and I mean TOTAL - kills the game utterly. If I could see my character walking around, see the gear and the clothes and the interactions with others, see the emotion on their face as they interact with the other characters, then I'd maybe be willing to forgive the other problems.

    12. The writing is ABYSMAL. It is straight up trope-packed BS. It is *TERRIBLE*.

    13. NO ALTERNATE SAVE "FOLDER" FOR SECONDARY CHARACTERS! WHAT?!

    14. The game uses a MONTAGE to introduce you to the beginning elements of your character's backstory. WHAT?!

    The *BEST* grade I'd give this game is a C+. I could be convinced to up that with some changes. For example, adding a third person mode would probably up the rating to a straight up B for me, but even then - I'd return it and wait until it goes on sale. Especially since there aren't really significant pre-order benefits.

    Final Verdict:
    - DO NOT BUY, wait for sale.
    - Do not listen to the Witcher fanboys that are just giving this game a good rating for no reason. Unless someone can tell you *WHY* they liked it, throw their vote out.
    - If you've already purchased but haven't played more than two hours, get your refund and wait for sale/patch.    … Expand

    No traffic Ai in an open world game? No police cars driving, no chases, traffic doesn't avoid obstacles? Pedestrian Ai is also almost non-existent.

    Literally unplayable. This shouldn't have been sold on PS4 or the original XB1. When every single material isn't clipping, I'm lucky to get 20fps.

    Will be asking for a refund and definitely signing on for the inevitable class action lawsuit against false advertising - ironically, for a game focussed on greed and unbridled capitalism.

    Was literally unplayable due to crash. Modding community fixed it. Next day update. Game now crashes again. Try endless fixes. uninstall, reinstall, crash crash crash. I have the recommended hardware. Ive spent many more hours trying to get this game to run than playing it.

    Это просто поражение. у них был вагон времени все исправить. Если верить их словам, то они активно работали над игрой с 2011-2012 года.

It fails at being edgy and violent, it fails at being sexual, it fails at giving you interesting characters, it fails at writing, it fails at pace, it fails at loot design, it fails at UI design, it fails technically, it    Masterpiece of crap.
    The game fails at everything except a few tiny things like sound design and the look of the big empty level they profess to be their "open world". It fails at being edgy and violent, it fails at being sexual, it fails at giving you interesting characters, it fails at writing, it fails at pace, it fails at loot design, it fails at UI design, it fails technically, it fails at player agency, it fails at driving physics, it fails to give meaningful choices with respect to your character, it fails at melee gameplay, it fails at gunplay, it fails at storytelling and it fails at not boring the **** out of you with the dumbest characters ever galore. If you call this a masterpiece, you must get your head checked. It's so bad, that I am actually worried about those gamers, who are fine with this or deluded enough to like it. It's nothing short of a complete failure and absolutely pathetic. It would have been better to not play any game for the duration of my 10hrs of playtime. It was at that point that I started shouting profanities about game design and writing 101 at my screen and decided to uninstall the game. I'd rather not play any games, than to start up this garbage again. Just thinking of how they implemented the police makes me shake my head with disbelief, that this game was made by professional game designers. Looks more like a tech demo, where someone said "If we use 100mil$ in marketing and 1mil$ on the game, we can get rich!" and rich they got. I hope they cry themselves to sleep, reading these reviews of their garbage game, because they deserve to suffer as I have playing it, which is immensely. 0/10, I'd rather play Playstation2 era GTA, as it was lightyears ahead of this garbage in any dimension fathomable.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game does not work. Sure, you can see the underlying potential of the narrative and gameplay, but despite glimmers of excellence, this game sucks **** ass. Terrible glitches, requiring me to edit the code of the .exe to get past the prologue, broken saves, glitches in every single screenshot of the game. Truly just **** It's funny that it satirizes late capitalism while being an example of late cap at the same time. It might be playable in 6 months, I'll update my review then.… Expand

    I can't set an animalistic modification and make my character looking like FURRY!!! This is the main minus of the game. And of course - bugs, after so many years of waiting the game is raw. So rating 0, until you make DLC with exotics, then I will buy 10 copies!!!

    I'll focus this on the gameplay rather than the bugs and performance. The gunplay is just straight up bad. This game will fall short compared to basically any other AAA shooter on the market.     The gunplay is just straight up bad. This game will fall short compared to basically any other AAA shooter on the market. There's no feeling of impact, and every damn enemy is an obnoxious health sponge that takes multiple headshots to kill, even when built for damage. Unless you're using a sniper or some such, haven't tested those.

    The stealth is also pretty terrible. Enemies are pretty much stationary, hardly move at all, and so there's very little to the stealth. Little to no thought seems to have been put into designing enemy movement patterns and sight lines in relation to stealth. And I'm pretty sure the game just checks if you hid the bodies and spawns in some enemies if you didn't, rather than needing patrolling enemies to actually find them.

    The cops are beyond terrible. They just spawn right next to you when you commit a crime and start shooting, then vanish into thin air if you move more than 50m in any direction, not even attempting to chase.

    Driving feels terrible. The cars feel slow and boring, and other cars just drive on rails with no AI and will just ignore it if you ram into them or some such.

    Speaking of AI, the AI is terrible. If you shoot a gun in the air every NPC nearby will all take up the exact same cowering position at the exact same time. No running away, no reactions beyond screaming, no variety. The cops AI are terrible, as mentioned before. Enemy AI is terrible as well.

    Melee is terrible. Enemies will literally teleport around trying to auto-track you, which feels like ****

    The gear system is terrible. Your armor looks like mismatched **** and you spend the whole game looking like a toddler picked your clothes. And they don't even have cool stats. It's just putting on whatever has the biggest "armor" number on it, with no thought or interesting stats or choices. Same with weapons - just put on whatever has the biggest number on it, ignore the rest. It's basically the worst gear system I've seen in a modern RPG.

    Crafting sucks too. Everything you make is worse than the **** you find, so it's just not worth the perks. What the hell is the point of making a crafting build if your crafted gear isn't so much better than regular gear it makes up for the perks you spent on it?

    And the gear and perk systems are basically the only thing making the game an RPG. It has Role Playing Game Mechanics, but doesn't seem to have any actual Role Playing. You get basically zero ability to choose what your character does, how they act, etc. It's somehow even more on rails than Witcher 3.

    The perks and attributes are boring as **** It's almost entirely number increases. The stuff that isn't is just poorly implemented. I bought a perk that lets me throw knives - neat! - and I can't even pick them back up again from the enemy body. WTF. Knives are a melee weapon, btw, which means you're straight up throwing away one of your fancy melee weapons each time.

    The story is... average. It's just about the only part of the game that isn't absolute trash, but don't let that confuse you - it still isn't GOOD. You're introduced to a steady stream of characters throughout the game, then they're promptly shelved and you never see them again. You're expected to give a **** about people the game spends zero time fleshing out, often because the main character, V, somehow knows them or knows about them from before the game started.

    The writing does seem to be at least a little self aware - sometimes It'll mock stuff like corporations forcing workers to work 80 hour weeks, for example, which is obviously a reference to the fact that developer CDPR is itself a dystopian capitalist corporation with no soul working their employees to the bone for the profits of corporate overlords.

    And the main character V is, quite frankly, an annoying ****

    CDPR clearly spent too much of their mandatory overtime adding **** and dicks, and not enough time on stuff that matters.

    But hey, at least the advertising branch of CDPR looks like they're getting a raise because this game sold like ****ing crazy anyway. I guess stopping reviewers from accessing their ****ty console versions so nobody would know how terribly it runs worked out for them.    … Expand

THE GRAPHICS ARE NOT THAT GOOD , THEY ARE JUST OK , STOP SAYING IT S OUR FAULT BECAUSE WE DON T HAVE THE LATEST NVIDIA RTX 50000 BS . I run Horizon zero dawn ,Red dead 2 ,Shadow of the tomb raider ,AC Odyseey , all on high, with no problems .Do I needStop defending thist sh#t just because Witcher 3 was a masterpiece. Есть высокий город, но нет вертикального геймплея, есть сюжет, но развитие персонажа никак не влияет на разветвления сюжета. Тот случай когда очередной перенос создал бы меньше проблем, чем выход игры в текущем состоянии.Ничем не лучше, чем версии для консолей. Баги, плохая оптимизация и полное отсутствие симуляции. В целом как жанровая принадлежность к RPG, тоже слабо. Есть высокий город, но нет вертикального геймплея, есть сюжет, но развитие персонажа никак не влияет на разветвления сюжета.     It took them 8 years to create a buggy broken GTA clone with a basic as hell "cyberpunk" skin, horrid AI, and the most un-immersive open world experience since the original Watch Dogs. Do not buy this if you seek to role-play. You can't.

Настоящей глыбой был Встанислав Шишкин. Даже моя, привыкшая к суровым забагованным играм, жопа, отказалась принимать с первого входа. Совместными с патчам первого дня усилиями забороли проблему.Третьего дня, по совету проверенных камрадов, приобрел новую мегаигру - Киберпанк 3000. Сразу же, задыхаясь от жадности, вскрыл коробку цепкими лапами и заюзал мегаигру. Баги, мое почтение. Настоящей глыбой был Встанислав Шишкин. The economy and crafting systems are just overall broken, NPCs are comically unaware, base enemies need to be loaded with headshots to kill them, and netrunner enemies spam passive damage attacks from another room.     Car driving was supposed to move from place to place, improve your character in points of interests or do missions. In reality it allows you only to turn your car into cannon ball and smash everything in front of you because UI for it is just terrible. Running through city is much more effective. You can eat, drink beer, sit on chairs only when story line allows you to. Shooting is like - keep shooting until you will place 75 bullets in someone or run out of ammo. Then load saved game. RPG part are almost non existing. You cannot add new skills (there are just 2 or 3 which change something) or really develop. You can tweak existing skills by a few percent but In reality you can ignore it and start researching the rpg part after level 9 or 10...
    Definitely game is not for me. I am glad I bought the electronic version and after a many hours of playing (just a 2 days though) they give me my money back.    … Expand

    История может и неплоха, но это всё нивелируется ужасной технической составляющей.
    CD Project Red нагло развели нас. Я уверен, что каждый, кто ждал эту игру, ожидал революции в сфере видеоигр. Но мы получили посредственный шутер в неоновом стиле с кучей багов и недоработок, который своих денег не стоит. Это не уровень Redов, это уровень Ubisoft.     Wanna drive a car? Just say no. It's absolutely horrible. For crying out loud, it's not a tank, is it! The cops magically spawning behind you despite there not being enough room (say, you're hiding in the corner).

    The city is dead, definitely not bustling with life. There is nothing to do. The dialogues such - no matter which option you pick, it'll always come down to having only one choice.
    How are they going to fix all that? Build the game from scratch?

    Best game i've played in a long time people are just mad because they had unrealistic expectations. traffic AI are absolutely atrocious and the game has more bugs than a ubisoft title. I blame the fanbase pushing the devs to their limits and making them release an unfinished game. It definitely needed a couple more delays but most of the bugs aren't game breaking. Definitely recommend.

They will fix this I thought ! Woke up this morning to a patch.... Awesome !!! Managed to lose the children for the day with grandparents and sat down to dive in. It now crashes every 5 minutes and it's rendered unplayable and I have given up after an hour of trying to get it to work.

    I'm not saying the game isn't great, I can't get to bloody play it to decide but this low score is issued for that exact reason. CDPR in my eyes was the absolute last good guy of the game studios and they screwed this and many other players (looking at you base console players) royally. I never post Metacritic reviews but have to air my complete and utter dissapointement somewhere. I'm going back to FarCry 5 while I leave CP2077 die in the steam library for the foreseeable future.

    Shame on you CDPR (no reflection on the Devs that have slogged their guts out) but shame on you as a studio.    … Expand

    Seems like people are angry and rightfully so, this game hyped up as next best thing after doom (1993) and even in final trailer they say that this will be next generation of open world games, but it has worse npc's than GTA 5 and it's unfinished.

    Bug riddled, poorly optimised... where to start? Needed another year in development. Even looking beyond the bugs, the game is very superficial. The city is just a stage. You can’t interact with anything and the AI is awful.

    Boring Story, badly optimized, poor AI(none for cars), clunky controls, bland combat, I could go on and on. Do not buy this game it’s unfinished and a scam.

    On the PS4, Cyberpunk 2077 is riddled with crippling bugs and crashes constantly. It runs like an early alpha test demo, when it runs at all; keep in mind that this game was announced more than a full year before the PS4 was even first released. Even if it worked flawlessly on a technical level, the game itself is nothing like the "revolutionary open world RPG" we were promised. It is not an RPG. The 'open world' feels less alive and immersive than 1997's LEGO Island. And it is absolutely not revolutionary. It fails spectacularly in every way but its art direction.

    My advice? Save yourself the $60+. Spray paint a dirty diaper chrome, shine some neon lights on it, and play a synthwave song in the background.    … Expand

    AI is not smarter than a potato. Lifepaths dont affect anything in the game. Every dialogue choices lead always to the same conclusion. I am not even gonna mention bugs it has. It should not be allowed to publish unfinished games while in daily life we cannot have money for doing the same thing.

    The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

    Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

    Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
