    To keep it very short: I like some parts of the game, while I strongly dislike others. Other reviews keep talking about the technical issues and bugs that the game is experiencing currently. Those issues are not what concerns me, issues like these will be surely fixed by CDPR. What concerns me the most is how disappointing the game actually is. To be 100% clear, I was very sceptical aboutTo keep it very short: I like some parts of the game, while I strongly dislike others. Other reviews keep talking about the technical issues and bugs that the game is experiencing currently. Those issues are not what concerns me, issues like these will be surely fixed by CDPR. What concerns me the most is how disappointing the game actually is. To be 100% clear, I was very sceptical about CB, what I saw from the gameplay was nothing I have never seen before, I personally did not see any innovation in the RPG genre. So I thought that there was no way I would be disappointed with the game, yet here I am writing my first ever review. After playing through the game, I can see the potential of it, I can see the potential of the story, and the overall craftmanship. What I cannot see, is the RP in RPG. If this was just a FPS then fine, but this is not just an FPS, this is an RPG. And I feel disappointed by how shallow the RP is.
    As I already stated, I did not have high expectations, but I at least expected an above average RPG, but I do not consider CB to be above average when it comes to the RPG aspects. Skill tree is disappointing, there is very little actual "Skill" in it, just stat boosters.
    NPCs are straight up terrible, terrible AI which is even NONEXISTENT at times, like drivers for example. None of the NPCs feel alive, none of them feel like actual people, which is the main purpose of NPCs. The actual characters that you get to meat are great, no complaint there, but the average Joe walking around Night City is just a lifeless corpse. There is absolutely no comparison between the NPCs here, and NPCs in GTA V or even Witcher 3.
    Romance is another big part of RPGs for some people, and it is disappointing in CB. Romance options are locked to your gender and sexual orientation. Romance dialogue feels way more forced and artificial than in the Wither 3 for example.
    As I already stated multiple times, I did not expect CB to be a masterpiece, I even expected it to be "only" above average. But there is nothing that CB excels at other than the art, the world and maybe the story. Everything else is average at best.
    Add to that all the issues with marketing, bugs, performance and you get a below average RPG. I would love to have a decent RPG in the world of Cyber Punk, but if even CDPR did no manage to do it, then I do not who will sadly. Bugs and performance will probably get fixed, but CB has issues deep down that are probably always going to be disappointing, at least to me.    … Expand

    A very sad story: here in Italy, lockdown with no internet yet because of new house I just moved out. bought this game on day one and simply cannot play this. unable to run because a system error. very very disappointed on how cdproject red have a lack of honesty woth this game. what the **** 70 bucks for a game that can’t even be played? WHAT THE ****.

    I remember when "Just Cause 3" (fun action game from 2015) only ran well on PC and console versions were absolutely awful, this game got ripped to pieces. I honestly hope same happens here. This was 2015, we are in 2020 now. And this is not about some fun 2015 action game anymore, it's about most overhyped game of all time, so i think people should be way more critical now.

    I will never trust this company again. Big disaster. I am sure CDPR was aware the situation and collected money with marketing. They knew that they will not able to sell this game after the release. Their shares dropped 30% in one day. This summarizes what is going on!

Night City looks pretty from a distance, if you follow exactly the intended path, but up close and deviating from said path leaves you with a glimpse into a hollow, dead, boring world. A blockage in front simply stops the car (and all cars behind it) until the blockage is cleared, and shooting at cars doesn't make people drive away, or even bring about any sort of response at all usually. The hype around this game was impossible to live up to, I acknowledge that, however, this is so far below the standards of what a modern-day open-world experience should be that it would be considered terrible if it hadn't been built up for years in advance and instead released out of the blue one day. I have played steam junkware asset flips that were more coherently constructed than this. I award it no points, and may CDPR have mercy on the devs.… Expand

    What an unfortunate turn of events, CDPR really dropped the ball here and should have persuaded their overheads and shareholders that a release this year with this game in its current state would tarnish their reputation and leave a bad taste in the mouths of their consumer's. The game wasn't ready. Save your money and wait until the game is fully polished.

    But if that’s not enough to let you know that this game is a failure:
    - NPCs in this game are lifeless. They do not react to you blocking the streets, shooting at their cars, hijacking their cars. - No character customization after the first initial set up.     - Cops teleport behind you 5 seconds after you commit a crime ANYWHERE (I stood on the ledge of a building then proceeded to shoot an NPC, the cops literally APPEARED out of thin air and started yelling and shooting at me), and then you just run away for about 50 yards away and back and voila, the cops disappeared. The cops cannot chase you in everyday car chase because they do not have the drving AIs
    - Sex was also a big selling point of this game, but in reality, you get to choose either a woman or a man, watch a 20-second cutscene, and that’s it. No interactions, no car pick ups, no calling them up to your room, no soliciting at their parlors.
    - Gunplay is godawful. Bullet-sponge like enemies, like emptying-your-whole-clip-to-kill-a-pawn-guy kind of enemies. (Yeah I literally walked up next to the enemy to empty the whole clip because it was so time consuming from a distance)
    - A hollow experience, nothing but a fancy shell. (Red Dead Redemption 2 would make this game look stupid for if they were released at similar dates)
    - $60 game, 5$ worth of gameplay.
    - The soundtracks are the ONLY thing that’s absolutely AMAZING about this game, so credits to the artists. I returned this game but absolutely loving the digital sountracks album because it’s that good.    … Expand

    I have no words with Cyberpunk 2077. It feels it was made from Anthem developer team.

    Game is so bad. AI is a joke, a bad one. The gameplay is like a mix of watch dogs, gta, hitman etc, but that mishmash gives at the end so bad gameplay, so stupid NPCs, terrible immersion with a surrounding work. I am do disappointed.

Corridors in buildings/doors look like corridors and doors in Dying Light (2015). Dying Light and Dead Island both are made by Polish video game company. Connecting the dots already?     Worst AAA character creation system I have seen since Destiny.
    The NPCs have a simple AI, nothing like the 2018 demo.
    Cops spawn right behind you when you kill someone, they don't even show up in police cars.
    When you shoot or attack someone, all nonviolent NPCs will just crouch down and do nothing making no noise.
    I'm very disappointed with this game

    Life paths take 10 minutes to finish. Nomad path contains no nomads. Just a 5min talk to a mechanic. Then you meet up with Jackie and drive to NC.

    To rate a game you need to play it, when you can't even do that a 0 is what it deserves, I get that with your RTX 3080 the game runs at 4k 60fps and you love it, but the console version for old gen is unplayable, 480p resolution running at 15fps, weird textures, blurry, constant freezes and crashes every 7 minutes, with games like RDR2 or Doom that run smoothly on this consoles, theTo rate a game you need to play it, when you can't even do that a 0 is what it deserves, I get that with your RTX 3080 the game runs at 4k 60fps and you love it, but the console version for old gen is unplayable, 480p resolution running at 15fps, weird textures, blurry, constant freezes and crashes every 7 minutes, with games like RDR2 or Doom that run smoothly on this consoles, the optimization from CDPR is unforgivable.

    A console like PS4 that can run last of us 2 and red dead 2 with no problems should also be able to run cyberpunk. DISRESPECT!

    What a pure dissapointment. This game needed 10 more years to be what they promised and advertised. The only customization left is ur character but u can’t see that because they removed third person cutscenes. In the opening they say u can live the rich live, yet u will always keep living in the slums because they removed appartments. So much got cut...this game isn’t worth 1% of the hype.

    "Coming when it's ready." Well, it finally came after 8 years in development and 4 delays and it's ready my ass....
    Back in 2018 CDPR stated that they were targeting CURRENT-GEN consoles and assured everyone that the game would look "awesome" on them. If you haven't yet experienced this "awesomeness" yourself, that means you are one of the lucky ones to not fall for the scam, deciding to skip the console version. The game is FAAAR from ready in almost all aspects. PS4/XB1 versions suffer from screen aliasing, poor performance (not even able to get 30fps on 720p), countless bugs , crashes etc. The graphics look like it's a PS3 game. AND HERE COMES THE FRAUD I WAS REFERRING TO EARLIER... CDPR didn't give a SINGLE review code to any reviewer in the world to check the ps4 version... so NOBODY had seen how the game ran prior to its release. Every review was about the PC version of the game , and even for that they didnt let reviewers show their footage, but forced them to only use footage that was previously shown on trailers,e3 etc.... For the first time in history, this company indirectly forced potential ps4/xb1 buyers to pre-order the game without seeing actual console gameplay. IMAGINE IF UBISOFT OR EA DID THIS ... Their HQs would be burnt to the ground the next day after the game release....
    Anyway, setting the ps4 version aside, i bought the game for PC... I own a pretty strong rig, capable of running any game at 2k 60fps... Well, I cant get this game to run at an acceptable frame rate no matter what I do... Only solution is to play the game setting graphics to low which takes away from the experience but anyway.... I spent quite some time trying to figure out the best possible settings to balance quality and performance kinda unsuccessfully. At first, I found the game entertaining and immersive if you exempt some crashes and bugs......... 2 DAYS LATER, I CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT NIGHT CITY IS DEAD AND NOT ALIVE, DEFINITELY NOT IMMERSIVE AND FOR SURE NOT THE MOST BELIEVABLE CITY IN AN OPEN WORLD GAME. God, VICE CITY MAY have a more believable city than cyberscam... AI IS WOEFULLY BAD, you can check reddit cyberpunk subreddit for the issues.... actually a user found out that there's no driving AI in the game, giving examples ( Police will never chase u on free roam, they are spawning right behind u, npc cars will stop right behind u if u park the car at the middle of the street) Furthermore, this game lacks so much content... you can't get a **** haircut after you're done creating your character.... "in night city looks are everything" was a message displayed at the top of our screens when creating our V's,,,, yet you can't ever see your player's appearance, and you don't get to choose what you will wear since clothes give armor/stats so you will always go for the best stats and not give a damn about looks... There are no garages/parking lots... THE NPCS run simulaneously and crouch if u shoot in the air and so on.... i could continue writing till tomorrow... the game is FAR from what was promised to us, far from what we were shown in gameplays , and i feel sorry for ps4-xb1 users.... if i were them , i would refund every single GB of this crappy pile of ****

    This game is CRIPPLED with player control problems, bugs, and bad in-game physiques. I play on PC but wasn't able to re-map my keyboard controls, to begin with, so the game was actually un-playable for me. Had to just go along with the terrible control layout for a while to just experience it a bit but as I said it was not possible to proceed further, had to throw it away. Totally disappointed.

    Completely broken on console, full of glitches, completely unfinished, has an absolutely atrocious AI (doesn't even have driving AI) and has absolutely no immersion. There's nothing to do other than do side missions and missions. Nothing. Can't get a drink or play minigames, literally nothing. The city is just a good looking loading screen.

    You feel like you are playing a cheap fps game. And yes, this is the game that was advertised like hell and promoted to be a new gen rpg game. Absolutely has nothing to do with rpg but still would enjoy as a fps. No, you cannot even do that.

Where are the dialogue options? its even worse than fallout 4 because at least in fallout 4 you get to say yes in 3 different ways instead of 1. Games decades old have more lively feeling cities and more complex AI. Dont waste your money.

    These reviews here are very telling and the DEV's should be embarrassed they released it in this state.

    Currently trying to get a refund but we'll see how that goes. Will never buy a CD Projekt Red game again, so disappointed.

Sin tener la PC de mínimo 2,500 dólares que quizá el 1% de los que compran este título tendrán, el juego corre "bien" a secas. Mi problema, sin embargo, no es tanto la cuestión catastrófica de bugs, gráficos completamente despulidos y crasheos que te obligan a cerrar el juego y reiniciar la aplicación de GOG; mi más grande problema es el contenido del "juego". Terminé mi primer playthrough en modo "Muy Difícil", en el path de "Nómada" y, aún con el modo, la IA es una basura: tanto enemigos, como policía, son infinitamente menos desafiantes que los que te ponen en el tutorial. Pareciera que sólo están puestos para estorbar cuando caminas hacia el siguiente punto de la misión. Podrías pasarte el juego entero con las misiones secundafias sin siquiera usar el árbol de personalización de armas y demás modificaciones en atributos del personaje, y otras upgrades que te pone el sistema del juego. El sistema de progresión es inútil.
    Los paisajes, y la ambientación del juego en general, EN LA VERSIÓN DE PC, me parecen muy atractivos... Pero están vacíos! A excepción de aquellos barrios, callejones, y departamentos donde se encuentra alguna misión, o en cargo, el resto del mundo funge de adorno. Esto es desastroso, debido a la "amplia verticalidad y abundante posibilidad de exploración" que nos prometió CDPR. Pero, y bien, ¿qué pasa cuando exploras lo poco con lo que sí puedes interactuar? Te encuentras con el peor loot y sistema de looteo que he visto en un RPG, en 25 años que tengo jugando videojuegos. Si quisiera un juego donde puedo recoger **** regresaría al maravilloso e hilarante Saints Row IV. Si quisiera lootear condones, los lootearía en el mundo real! The Witcher 3 padecía de lo mismo, un loot de mucha basura (literal) pero, al menos en TW3, podías desmantelar la chatarra, y sacarle provecho para las armas. Aquí, tu **** con tachas, se queda como **** con tachas.
    La emoción por rejugabilidad es inexistente: una vez que terminen la historia principal (que dura como 20 horas) y todo el contenido secundario (que, después de un total de 40 horas, ya me terminé lo inportante), no queda la necesidad de volver a explorar, de retomar la aventura. Personalmente, sólo me quedó la intención de volver a jugar un NG+ en modo "Death March" en el juego que SÍ fue la obra maestra de la desarrolladora Polaca.
    Nos mostraron la posibilidad de 3 distintos caminos para jugar, pero si escoges "Nómada" (mi caso), no vas a cambiar la experiencia de juego, ni el final del mismo, que si escoges "Corpo" (el caso de mi hermano). A excepción de un par de posibilidades de responder de forma distinta a una que otra conversación, TODO es IGUAL!
    Todo lo anterior, es meramente la superficie, de una profundidad más notable de problemas con el contenido del juego. Hablar del horrible rendimiento que este título tiene en las consolas para las que fue desarrollado, ya es otra cosa; mismos problemas que tiene para PC, a excepción de los gráficos y el bajón de frames tan cerdo. Me parece un insulto y un robo que hayan ofrecido este juego para PS4/Xbox One.
    En resumen, no gasten 60 dólares por este prototipo de lo que quizá en 8 años, sea una muy buena franquicia. Me parece que el equivalente de esta atrocidad, sería que CDPR hubiese sacado The Witcher 3, para PS3 y Xbox 360. Ni más, ni menos. Mi recomendación: esperen a que la compañía, con todo el dinero que se va a meter después de este atraco masivo y descarado, saque la 2a y hasta 3a entrega de Cyberpunk. Esperemos que aprendan de sus errores garrafales, y veamos una transición y salto gigantesco (como lo vimos con la serie de The Witcher) en esta IP. Mientras tanto, a jugar Doom, Dark Souls, Ghost of Tsushima, o cualquier título que sí merezca la pena, y que sí esté hecho para ser, no sólo digamos disfrutado, sino jugado con dignidad.    … Expand

The main story is not engaging at all. There is absolutely no meaning to explore this game further. CDPR cheated everyone with misleading marketing and review manipulation.     Now that there's good, what are the bad things? Everything else surprisingly. The AI in the game is the worst I have ever seen. For example, there's no driving AI, every car is going from spawn point to end point. That's all, no variations. Enemy AI are also bad in combat, all they do is hide and shoot from time to time, which makes the gunplay unrewarding when you kill someone except for several cyberpsychos. Cops AI are also none existent. No cops will chase you because there's no driving AI, so you can just run easily even if you have 5 star crime. Do you know if you do a crime, the cops spawn out of literal thin air behind you, so there's no way to escape from cop by winning the gun fight. The more you shoot at them, the more spawn behind. ENDLESSLY!

    On top of that, there's glitches, a lot of glitches, even in main storyline. The driving mechanics is also really bad especially noticeable at turns, you will almost always hit something on turns. This also make quest you have to chase someone insanely difficult to do.

    Even quality of life feature such as being able to change appearance anytime you want (considering the whole theme of the game is that people can have any body they want), is missing, there's no key mapping for inventories, and maps. The insanely annoying dodge mechanic that you have to edit the config file yourself. It feels like they didn't put any effort at all.

    The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

    Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

    Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
