    Well, I don't know what to say. I downloaded it, and 'ran' it.     Well, I don't know what to say. I downloaded it, and 'ran' it. It booted into a black screen on an RTX 2080ti 11gb, Ryzen 7 2700x, 32gb 3200mhz tridentZ, powered by a 1200watt gold cert power supply, which also contains many software libraries and support files, it's almost a miracle when a game cannot run on this particular system.

    I am not, however, going to bend over backwards tweaking, working around, paging through .ini files, and configs to try to get this game to run.

    It billed itself as a AAA title, and should run like one, out of the box. it doesn't meet common criteria i associate with a 'AAA' title.

    I scored X:Rebirth in 2014 low, but I will score Cyberpunk even lower. because X: Rebirth at least made it to runtime after it was installed.

    however, at its current state: i will say 'buyer beware' and recommend that one purchase it on Steam. because if it doesn't run well for you, smash that refund button.    … Expand

    This game is a scam. So many features left out and bugs in the game. Night city gives the illusion that its a big open world with a lot to do but the more you play the more you realized how dead the world is. The npcs are lifeless and AI acts horribly, the melee and gunplay is mediocre at best, there is no minigames like poker/casino/arcade, there is no apt or car customization, and youThis game is a scam. So many features left out and bugs in the game. Night city gives the illusion that its a big open world with a lot to do but the more you play the more you realized how dead the world is. The npcs are lifeless and AI acts horribly, the melee and gunplay is mediocre at best, there is no minigames like poker/casino/arcade, there is no apt or car customization, and you can't even see your char in game or customize hair.     On ps4 and xbox is unolayable,but on pc is still buggy,the ia is ridiculously bad, ubisoft tier and the gunplay is boring,what a disappointment

    Just for balance ridiculous massive 0 vote. This game is a reel adventure, like a good cinema production, the realisation is awesome, the immersion is really great, but yes, the technical side is again in development. Framerate is low, miss a lot of divers optimisations. Hope futur patch fix this son

    I've played about 30 hours so far. Where it is now, it gets a 6/10. It's very visually pleasing and the story and world is intriguing. I don't think it is really groundbreaking in terms of the RPG formula. What really cuts the score is the launch. It's almost as bad as Fallout 76 imo. Once the bugs and stability are fixed its an 8 or 8.5/10 from me. It needed to be delayed another 6 monthsI've played about 30 hours so far. Where it is now, it gets a 6/10.     The setting is incredibly well done. The city feels alive, and the atmosphere is really well done.
    If you've got a good computer and UPDATE YOUR GRAPHICS DRIVER, this game is a lot of fun.

    I see a lot of negative reviews, and aside from the performance issues which should be solved by the above advice I don't understand what they're complaining about.

    First of all I want to adress this is my first review on Metacritic, and this is for PC version.

    I expected a beautiful cyberpunk world with an immersive story and interesting characters and that's what I got. But unfortunaly, that's all I got.     The world and its aesthetic looks fantastic and is filled with interesting stuff, but at the same time it feels so empty. The NPCs AI are all so basic and makes San Andreas look complex. The Police AI is a joke and is actually worse than any Rockstar game (Yes, even GTA 1). The street vendors, food stalls etc are mostly non-interactive and makes you feel like you're only a spectator of the world.
    There are not a lot of cars or people in the world for being a large metropolis (Probably due to FPS drops). Random events in the world is basically non-existant. There is so much, but yet so little.

    The storyline is really interesting with great characters. It' trully is the greatest aspect of the game and in my opinion is the true beacon of light. I would go in to depth of the characters, but I want to keep this as spoiler free as possible. Let's just say it won't dissapoint you and would in my opinion be the driving force for you to continue playing. The issues I have are the variety of dialogue choices and V's life path is not important whatsoever.

    The gameplay itself is decent. Some of the combat feels clunky, the shooting is what you expect from a FPS shooter. Stealth is less than avarage, and the same goes to when you need to take cover. The driviing is slow and can feel a bit awkward. I find the RPG element interesting, but it's not really a lot to it. I'd say the RPG element is okay at best. The physics of the game is okay, not amazing. All in all, it's a decent FPS game with some RPG elements to it, and that's all it is. It's decent at best.

    The customisation in the game is pretty bad. You get to customise your character in the beginning, and that's basically it. No customisation to your body, hair, vehicle, weapons or anything like that later in the game. It makes the game feel much less personal and interactive. There are no garage or parking lots for you to save your car. There are also no meaningful construct of a personality to the character.

    This is a game that is very good in terms of story and world, but at best avarage on almost everything else. I wish I would like it more than I did, but it never really delivered the immersion that I expected. Disappointing experiece.    … Expand

    For being 8 years in development, and release-dates multiple times extended, this feels like a bad joke. It's still a buggy, unoptimised heap of dung. hopefully this will be fixed in future patches.     As the state of this game is now, don't consider to buy it unless you have a super PC with an 3080 RTX. Otherwise the performance is just sub-par.

    As for last-gen consoles owners (PS4, Xbox) just don't buy it, it's unplayable. you'll get crashes, graphics that looks like a PS2 game, and dips to 10 FPS making it more like a slideshow.

    CD Projekt Red lied to you, console owners.

    Maybe on PS5 or Xbox series next, after CD Projekt Red has released multiple updates and patches for those platforms, it might be playable on consoles.

    No wonder they didn't allow reviewers to use their own screenshots/videos in their PC reviews, and certainly no wonder they didn't send out console versions to reviewers so the obvious problems with those versions couldn't be published beforehand.

    The current version, even with the day 0/1 patch, is a beta, and the consumers are the play-testers. it seems obvious that CD Projekt Red had to release this before the holiday season, no matter what, even if it means giving themselves a bad name forever.

    Well done CD, you just utterly ruined your reputation being one of the "good guys" in gaming industry, please take your seat next to EA and Ubisoft at the table of shame. I suggest you give all that money you tricked people out of back to them, and dissolve the company. but not before you put out enough patches to make this game remotely playable.

    If you hype a game this much, don't be surprised if it backfires in your face like a nuclear bomb when it turns out to be crap.    … Expand

    The story is deep and engaging. There are several notes sprawled across the city, perhaps too many, many however provide more and knowledge regarding cyberpunk setting.



    The leveling system provides several options for designing your character to your hearts desire. All of the options appear interesting and there is a robust crafting system.

    Do not listen to the negative reviews. The game is perfectly playable on PC. Purchase the game and witness the beauty of Night City for yourself.    … Expand

    Is this a 2/10 game? No. But is that the equivalent rating to what they explicitly marketed the game to be? Yes. It isn't a simple coincidence that millions of people expected so much more from the game, the high expectations and hype were manufactured to the sole benefit of CD Projekt Red. Apart from the artstyle and aesthetic, the game is unfinished.

    People are giving this game low reviews only for its state on launch. Personally, I've had almost no issues, some minor bugs with the biggest of them being stuck dialogue which required me to reload a save before it happened to fix it.     I'm really surprised it's not working for so many people. I got old rx470 and at 1080p with reduced quality it works just fine. I'm loving the setting and how this game plays.

    Suitable for people with a good computer. The game itself contains many bugs, but has an interesting plot and a well-made world, I hope the developers will tighten the game up and release new DLC.

    Hell, Keanu Reeves' sunglasses despawned at the beginning of act 2 and I haven't seen them since.

    I'm not gonna give this game a 1/10 because I truly believe that there's a good game hidden under this layer of **** but it needs a lot of work. Any other game studio would've been crucified for releasing a game in this state.    … Expand

    I have a 1070ti and I ygb of ram and I had everything set to low

The AI is non-existent (can't interact with anyone or anything, vehicle AI doesn't react, stuff like when you save someone from an assault they cower and are scared of you then just disappear), people and objects are copy and pasted so poorly for example there might be 6 shopkeepers within 20 feet that are identical that tell you to "get lost"It is a good looking game but that's about it. The AI is non-existent (can't interact with anyone or anything, vehicle AI doesn't react, stuff like when you save someone from an assault they cower and are scared of you then just disappear), people and objects are copy and pasted so poorly for example there might be 6 shopkeepers within 20 feet that are identical that tell you to "get lost" if you talk with them???, if you shoot your gun 40 people will just crouch down scared and not move at the exact same time, the looting system is meaningless, there are zero character customization options, the only cool action scenes like car chases are scripted so no matter how much you shoot your gun, the other guy will only die when he is "supposed to", cops appear 3 feet behind you in a closed apartment when you shoot someone, then you walk into the next room and crouch and they cant find you, cops cannot drive cars, insanely zoomed in minimap so you cant see where youre going, stealth is pointless.... i could go on and on and on. This game was over hyped and over marketed and overall it is just completely empty of true engagement and open world fun. Scammy developers to be sure.… Expand

    Developer lied about it running surprisingly well on Xbox one and ps4. I can deal with glitches and bugs but visually it looks like a 360 game. Terrible. Made me motion sick, which congratulations that was a first ever. Still made me ill after changing settings that people recommend. I was sooo excited...it has potential but maybe in a year?

    Nothing is interactable. There are no activities you can do to experience the culture of a dystopian city, Cyberpunk culture, or just a city in general. You cannot even alter your cosmetics, in a setting where cosmetic enhancement and fashion are integral. Not even a tattoo or haircut.

    You shop for cars via receiving random texts from NPCs. You can't go to the bar and have a drink. NPC AI is atrocious. No AI is capable of anything beyond their scripted events. A guy is banging on a vending machine for eating his money, you hack it so it despenses all the food, and he continues to bang on the vending machine. Cops spawn out of nowhere and then despawn if you crouch in a corner for long enough. "Random assaults" are just a small group of gangsters standing over 1 dead guy. Arcade machines are everywhere but you cannot play them. Cars follow 1 scripted path and just stop working altogether if you park in front of them, and then when you turn away, they disappear and are replaced with a different car.

    Nothing in this world is believable, and exploring the city is empty and shallow. You never feel like the world would continue living without you, you feel as if they'd despawn when you leave. These are issues that aren't going to be fixed by patches. These are issues that will hold the game back from being great forever.    … Expand

    Game is an easy 10, the best RPG I have played in years. I'm playing on PC (mid level and runs on high-ultra settings, but does get hot!), so I have no idea what this game is like on consoles. The only bug I've seen after 15 hours was fixed because I needed to update my graphics card.

    Absolute trash, an embarrassment to gaming. Terrible story, cringe dialogue, HORRIBLE gunplay with bullet sponge enemies, crafting is useless, the world is lifeless and empty, music is terrible. Not to mention how buggy it is. Don’t waste your money on this dumpster fire, the critics are obviously shills for this game.

    With Cyberpunk the game is actually quite good. The mechanics, story, and open-world stand as perhaps some of the best ever made. Sadly they are buried under lots of dirt right now though, hence the salt.

    Bugs can be fixed, resolution can be increased, and sooner or later we will all have a next gen system. Cyberpunk at its best is honestly a remarkable RPG in every way. 99% of the people leaving 0/10 reviews would fully admit that the game would be amazing if it was polished. It's not repetition or bad story telling holding this game back- it is 100% bugs.

    Once those bugs are fixed (and they will be) this game could be one of the greatest RPGs ever.    … Expand

    i can't talk for anyone else's experiece, as far as im concerned, game is smooth, with amazing graphics on my RTX 3070, an amazing piece of art, I am enjoying this game in the same level I enjoyed the witcher 3.

    Loving the game so far runs well with my rig decent 65 to 90+ fps on Ultra+Quality dlss for me i understand them about the bugs people fans pressuring rushing them to release the game and they are all working at home even skyrim witcher had lots of bugs and stuff in first release. keep it up guys hope patches and fixes will be made soon :)

    Quem espera um GTA no mundo de cyberpunk com elementos de rpg vai se decepcionar. Mas se você espera um rpg com uma imersão monstruosa e uma cidade extremamente viva e cheia de acontecimentos, vai passar horas jogando e nem vai perceber o tempo passar.
    O jogo possui varias árvores de habilidades com dezenas de upgrades diferentes possibilitando fazer várias builds de acordo com o seu gosto. Sem contar nos implantes para o corpo, armas e sua modificações... Você vai passar muito tempo apenas vendo essas coisas, e isso é muito bom.
    O sistema de escolhas está melhor e mais natural do que the witcher 3, aonde as escolhas impactam ainda mais no desenvolvimento delas.

    Mas nem tudo são flores e o jogo possui defeitos também. A interação com os npc genéricos está totalmente vazia, parece que eles estão lá apenas para deixar o jogo mais bonito. Coisa que é normal em jogos de mundo aberto mas nesse estava esperando mais nessa parte. O jogo possui alguns bugs (comigo não atrapalharam em nada minha jogatina). Estava esperando uma customização visual bem mais abrangente, que pra o jogo dessa magnitude ficou um pouco rasa na minha opinião.

    Em resumo se você gosta de rpg, esse jogo vai ser 10/10 como está sendo para mim apesar dos defeitos que já estão sendo corrigidos.     Great story that was quite gripping. I couldnt stop playing and the minor bugs, and occasional crashes were a small price to pay for getting to play this great game sooner!

Provided that you like open world RPG’s like Skyrim, or New Vegas I think once you get past the bugs and glitches with future patches people will begin to see the true nature of this game. The game looks unbelievable, and thus far has been a lot of fun to play. I personally waited until today’s patch to begin playing, knowing that I did not want some of the release issues to taint my view of the actual game. It ran smoothly on my Ps5 following the patch, and I’m very happy with the game thus far. The strongest advice I can give to discouraged buyers is that you give the dev team a chance to make it right.     The people giving 1 star reviews are out of their minds and frankly they should be removed. The last-gen console versions of this game do have large issues but my experience on PC has been amazing - one of the best games i've played this year.

    24h played. The story quests are very nice. Everything else is trash. Its completely unoptimized, buggy (every hour one game breaking bug) and the open world just feels lifeless. This should've been a linear game and not an open world game.

Back in the day there were no early access titles disguised as finished games for a full price out there to buy. You bought a final product, that at most needed a few tweaks. These days it’s completely normal that a **** unfinished and unpolished game comes out and receives the classic day one patch. What about..uhh.. just finishing the game? Who cares if people have to wait? Uhh... hold on... you make more money by offering preorders and hyping the community up? Okay boys, let’s get em!

    AMD Ryzen 5 3600
    Geforce GTX 1080ti
    The other specs are not that important. My specs are more than enough to decently play the game.. is what I GUESSED. This piece of crap runs like **** it’s not optimized at all because the devs have wasted all their time putting Keanu **** Reeves into this game. I had the Nvidia software optimize my graphics options for this game and it looked like total **** Weird that Cyberpunk/CDPR run an ad campaign with RTX, right? This is nothing more than a money grab and a very disgusting way of making customers buy a certain product so the game even runs at >30 fps. Characters look interesting on the surface, yet have no depth to them. Oh look, this is a guy. He’s an a$$. Well, okay. Now do missions for him. He’s still bad tho. Uhhh.. yeah that’s it. The game immediately tells you how to feel about people and characters, it does it all for you. Devs put a million people into the city to form a crowd, just to hide the fact that the open world is boring and empty. Oh look, it’s a crowded city! Wow! How amazing! This is worthless! There is no substance to the world at all, this has bothered me about The Witcher 3 too. It all looks so good on the surface but once you step in, there’s not much to do or see. There are no mini games or "alternative actions"... you can do nothing in this city. Look at RDR2 for example, you can walk around, talk to people, sit down, play poker, drink till you pass out, go hunting and so on and on and on. What can you do in Cyberpunk?.... complete side quests that are all essentially the same or get yourself boosted by your doctor, who is in fact the most interesting character in the whole game. And you don’t see much of his character. Let that sink in. As soon as you step into the car the game lags, at least the characters look good as long as they are in a 2 meter radius. To be blatantly honest, this game is overhyped. It doesn’t reinvent anything, surely doesn’t *invent* anything, god no, all it does is recycle things other open world RPGs did better. Once you’re done with the intro and step into the city to walk around, you instantly realize that all the NPCs are just cosmetic to make the game look like something. It doesn’t add atmosphere, there are neon lights everywhere, police gun you down when you stand next to them for more than three seconds, textures and people appear right in front of your eyes, the game tries to reach a certain performance at any given time so it doesn’t look AND run like complete and utter crap. It’s not worth the $$$ and if I were you, I would wait 2-3 months before getting into the game. This is totally unacceptable and nobody should support this game or these devs/the whole fcking studio. Overworking and enslaving your employees is one thing, but releasing an unfinished game and then STILL overworking your employees because you need constant patching for this game in the future because you avoided finishing it is another. I would only give this to someone as a Christmas gift if I wanted them to suffer enormous cringekicks and a fatal stroke whilst playing this.

    Only get this if you have a high end pc, the best RTX graphics card and are a huge, massive Cyberpunk fanboy/fangirl who gives a **** about the studios circumstances, the lack of actual good game design, a laughable story and a world that only looks good on the surface. I have never been this disappointed and I have played many games throughout my life that have sucked a$$. Mass Effect Andromeda is better than this piece of crap.

    Bugs aside it ran smooth on PC. The animations, AI, UI, and combat are scuffed. The game isn't good and the only boundaries it breaks are hardware on last gen consoles.

    -Those Bugs and glitches take the immersement completely away for me.
    -I wasn't hyped at all but got so Disappointed still.
    -Keanu as a character was just marketing for me and he doesn't fit the role of a badass **** ingame. For example at the beginning he goes like imma kill you and then we are buddys and in another moment he hates me and says i'm an **** like seriously wth should have taken another actor idk but i can't take him serious at all.

    When initially creating my character it was grainy/blurry, and I was confused as I have a 5800X/3080. In game it was the same situation - grainy and blurry textures with subpar FPS.. Then in the first hour of gameplay I had multiple bugs and npc glitches that I feel are completely unacceptable for a game that’s been in “development” for 8 years (cops randomly and choppily appeared in cars on the arrest cut scene out of nowhere, npc lips not synced with dialog.. Even got stuck reloading the combat training simulator multiple times due to the red guy bugging out where I cannot kill him because he was floating over invisible tiles out of reach). This annoyed me enough to nope on out and refund my game via steam. To be quite frank I’m astonished that this game was released in this state.. You can tell this game was forced out to catch the Christmas sales crowd which just rubs me wrong as a consumer. Overall, I feel like I’ve been “Cyberpunked” purchasing this game. Now I’m just waiting for Ashton Kutcher to pop up to verify this.. At least I got my $60 bucks back!    … Expand

    Оптимизация полная хуета. У меня 1660 супер, амд райзен 5, 8гб озу и игра все равно постоянно лагает, фризит, тормозит. Багов тоже очень много. Кароче если ваш комп стоит меньше 800$ не покупайте

    The game and been amazing so far. The game is truly immersive and I won’t lie I was dismissive about the thought of being first person only gameplay.. but I love how immersed it makes you. The story has been one of the best of any RPG I’ve ever played. The character models look very detailed and realistic and the voice acting is amazing. I have experienced some bugs but nothing that breaksThe game and been amazing so far. Driving feels very similar to realistic aspects of what GTA 4 had, the vehicles feel weighty, not my style but I can live with it. Now for my one and truly big con of the game....The Melee in this game is subpar to say the least. It’s very janky and just feels broken. Overall the game is 10/10 for me.… Expand

    Come on CDPR you are creating an open world game in a city like GTA or WD
    And it's terribly wrong
    - NPCS with null AI in the face of danger are put into a lifeless seedy animation - City with NFS traffic almost nil - Vehicle physics worse than in GTA 3 - NPCS without life only circulate as decoration, even the NPCS of GTA VC had more life - No character customization within the city    Come on CDPR you are creating an open world game in a city like GTA or WD

    - Zero interaction with NPCS or move their mouth when speaking to them
    - Police practically non-existent until GTA VC is better a game from 20 years ago
    - When shooting car tires, they do nothing!

    I can see where it’s wanting to go but it’s not there yet. Unfortunately the bugs pull you out of the game (sometimes literally) so I might hold off playing any further till the next gen release is sorted.

    Currently a 5 but will eventually be a 9 or 10 once they fix things. Giving it a 4 because they only gave out pc versions of the game to review.

    Cyberpunk 2077 is a game made with all love. I'm sure the developers fell in love with the universe of cyberpunk 2020 and they were happy to work on 2077. But, unfortunately, like any huge project invented by the hot heads of developers, cyberpunk suffered the same fate - ambition. CDPR created an amazing deeply worked world, but they couldn't get it to work properly. Despite all theCyberpunk 2077 is a game made with all love. I'm sure the developers fell in love with the universe of cyberpunk 2020 and they were happy to work on 2077. But, unfortunately, like any huge project invented by the hot heads of developers, cyberpunk suffered the same fate - ambition. CDPR created an amazing deeply worked world, but they couldn't get it to work properly. Despite all the crunches and efforts to optimize the project, cyberpunk 2077 is technically a very crude game. Perhaps even weaker than fallout 76.
    I love and respect cyberpunk 2020 immensely, and the storytelling approach in 2077 is very similar to the board-RPG experience. Therefore, I want to thank the authors for being able to return me to the dark world of Night City and feel the very sensations that 2020 gave me. I believe that you can fix the game and it will go down in the annals of history as the best game of the last 10-20 years.

    Gra działa dobrze nawet na laptopie sprzed 2 lat praktycznie 60fps stałe w 1080p momentami minimalne spadki, owszem zdążają się glicze i bugi ale nie przeszkadzają one w rozgrywce, bym nawet stwierdzil, że potrafią po prostu rozśmieszyć gracza, a jeśli chodzi o SI nie miałem jest ona upośledzona ale to według mnie będzie prawdopodobnie naprawione w ciągu najbliższe go miesiąca.     Best Game I've ever ever Played in my life. Holy sh*t I can't wait to see how massive this is after expansions are released. I'm 40 hours in and still havent completed prologue or left the first district. If you're worried about not much content that is definitely not the case here

    The storyline, is quite hard to follow.. but that's probably just a personal problem as I'm not the best at focusing, and i am at least able to get a rough idea of what's happening.

    It's a beautiful game, But you need the Computer to run it..

    I have an 6700k with GTX 980, And i play on 1440p, 75% Scaling (Renders at 1080p) low settings, and i get 40fps... Which isn't ideal.. BUT ALOT better than How it runs on the PS4 for example.. and I feel bad for the players who are either stuck on ps4 as they can't find a ps5, or can't afford a new console right now... with Christmas coming up.

    But as it's a next gen game, I'm not going to attack the performance too much.. but i also believe optimizations could of been done more efficiency

    Cyberpunk 2077 Definitely give me Watch dogs vibes with the focus on hacking and Technology, but that was expected due to the High tech future that the game is set in.

    I was VERY Disappointed with ALOT of the overhyped stuff, Especially the character expression.. I didn't care about the nudity.. and i do think that was pushed a bit too much.. but even then i was hoping that you'd be able to resize ur face and other body parts with a slider or drag controls, rather than 2-3 preset sizes..

    My character Looks **** imo, and The character customization was Very limiting

    I'm going to try and play through this game, but i have a feeling it might drone on..

    TL;DR this game was overhyped, released buggy.. Looks amazing but playabillity is more about the game looking good    … Expand

    The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

    Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

    Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
