    Shocking waste of potential. Preordered and tried for a couple hours even after installing the recent patches. When it did run “smoothly” on my base PS4 (in 5 min intervals) shocking AI, police and NPC break immersion with beyond useless AI. Otherwise glitchy, janky, and laggy game play with the worst driving since Ride to Hell. Then there’s the progress losing crashes too numerous toShocking waste of potential.     The way that women are portrayed in this game is sickening. There are very few feel good moments in this game, it's certainly not anywhere near the Witcher. I wonder how many CD RED employees with fake email accounts are logging into metacritic to keep the user score above a 5? It's bad. They should have continued on the success the Witcher had. Very disappointed.

    I was so excited about this game. I waited eagerly with everyone else. I thought this game was going to be spectacular seeing as it was developed by CDPR. I was wrong. This game is buggy, crashes, and looks terrible- and I’m playing on XBSX. It’s clunky, poorly executed, and pales in comparison to every modern open world game. The content is completely dependent upon sex and filth. It’sI was so excited about this game. I waited eagerly with everyone else. I thought this game was going to be spectacular seeing as it was developed by CDPR. I was wrong. This game is buggy, crashes, and looks terrible- and I’m playing on XBSX. It’s clunky, poorly executed, and pales in comparison to every modern open world game. The content is completely dependent upon sex and filth. It’s the main theme all throughout the game. In diaries, on ads, magazines, posters, etc. It’s like a group of perverts were handed the keys to creating the vibe of the universe, and put their deepest most sexually explicit desires into every aspect of Night City. It’s over the top and feels forced and unnecessary. The content exists for the sake of being controversial. I returned this game. Biggest disappointment of 2020 in terms of entertainment.… Expand

    I got this after the PS4 version which was my worse gaming experience in years so bad I quit and got a return.

    This game isn't what I wanted coming from the PS4 experience I thought the PC would be skys ahead everyone was saying get it on PC it runs so well it's so polished. It's not. It has so much missing that was suppose to be there from promotions, I followed the updates and all    I got this after the PS4 version which was my worse gaming experience in years so bad I quit and got a return.

    It has so much missing that was suppose to be there from promotions, I followed the updates and all the studio people saying what this was going to be an ambitious open world with revolutionary game play. Ready when it's ready and other lines. I expected it to be ready and the game to be something like KOTOR in world building and design.

    I have got a refund for PS4 and uninstalled the PC game, CDPR needed another 3 years.    … Expand

    Running on PS5 with LG CX OLED the game looks washout and blurry. Not a true HDR experience. Graphics on certain object look terrible. The game has over promised and under-delivered, it doesn’t feel ready. It might get better with further patches. I’m tempted to leave them game and come back to it in 6 months.

    Playing on XBox Seriex X and my initial reaction was that of disappointment (visually speaking). The game ran well and looked Ok but I expected more, having learned of the next gen updates not being due until next year and turning off motion blur and chromatic aberration. Don't read too much into players **** on the game for these reasons, experience it for yourself and make your own judgment, The only downfall this game has is that CDPR decided to try and release it on XBox One and PS4 (X and Pro versions included), that hardware just cannot hope to deliver justice to the Cyberpunk vision. If you're thinking about buying it for these consoles I'd reconsider postponing until you can get a XBox Series X, PS5 or decent gaming PC. I'm going to play through the street kid storyline and save the other two for the update that is dropping next year, what I can say is the game still looks and plays really well on Series X (and I'm assuming PS5 too) even though there are still bugs for CDPR to fix, I've not encountered any game breaking ones but have had Johnny Silverhand leaving floating cigarettes in cut scenes and a couple of pauses in other cut scenes. I'll revisit this review when the next gen update drops.… Expand

    World is empty. Your choices don't matter (you don't have any actually). A lot of technical bugs, like plenty of them! Driving mechanics completely off. AI is completely absent. Craft system is absolutely useless. Giving it 1 out of 10 only because the picture is really really good.

    The best thing about the game is the main story. Everything else is mediocre or worse. It's beautiful on the outside, but the gameplay is very sparse and in no way something special. Play it as an interactive movie, this is no role playing game.

I expected a game of similar quality to TW3, not Assassin's Creed. Short story, dead open world, filler gigs/sidequests - just not what I expect from CDPR. Felt blatantly lied to (choosing between Nomad/Corpo/Street Kid is totallyHarsh score I know, and probably undeserving. Bugs aside, this just wasn't the game we were promised. What I have experienced constantly: glitches, bugs, broken quests, broken rpg tree system for stealth, faulty UI, poor optimization (on a 2080ti only on high settings and no rtx, @1440p, the game struggled to keep a framerate over 60 fps in some situations- town mostly). Yes, I did preorder the game, yes I did let myself fall for their promises because they would show us something different in the gaming industry - that they care about the gamers. It was all a facade. It was all for the money. Screw them and I hope the devs will get a chance to tell their story behind the curtains.the game is not ready for release, is nothing special. God of War made me fall in love again with gaming(after the witcher 3, I had nothing to play, nothing would bring me joy when I would play), this game made me resent any ideea that games can be fun.     I have put in about 50 hours into the game and maybe enjoyed 3 out of them. You have to constantly save and load the game to get around the bugs. Witcher 3 isn't for everyone, the game shines in it's story, narrative, characters, pacing and lore but keeping them aside, the open world and the NPCs were pretty much basic and the world interaction was very minimal.    Warning: This is a long review. So take time to read this

    All of us need to accept that the Witcher 3 wasn't a good game gameplay wise, it wasn't a fully RPG experience. Witcher 3 isn't for everyone, the game shines in it's story, narrative, characters, pacing and lore but keeping them aside, the open world and the NPCs were pretty much basic and the world interaction was very minimal. However, Witcher 3 was a success and was the first AAA standard game by CDPR. But CDPR, being confident after the success of Witcher 3, tried to pull this game but honestly, CDPR should've probably not made this game.

    First CDPR build up their reputation as one of the best companies in video game, they heavily marketed this game, and also featured people like Keanu Reeves. I think Keanu Reeves is also a big point of this game. In the 2018 game demo, we had a subway and a wall running mechanic, both of them scrapped. By 2019, people have build enough trust on CDPR that this game is going to be groundbreaking, phenomenal. CDPR Marketing team added more ice to an already tasty looking cake by promising that Night City is the most lived in looking city ever created in a video game, we have 1000 NPCs who have their routines scripted, night city has tons of activities etc. More people jumped into this bandwagon. Many expected it to be GTA but in future. Also the game was marketed as Open world sci-fi RPG.

    Now when the game delayed the third time, it already began to appear that this game is going to be a buggy mess. But even by this point, many had hopes that this game will have enough content to keep them busy for months

    Now fast forward to November 2019, with console footages. The first crack has already appeared. There was no base PS4 or Xbox One footage, and the game even on the upgraded versions of these old consoles weren't able to maintain 30fps. This was the first sign of alarm. But still we have high hopes that Night city is going to feature lots of content.

    Even Reviewers like Skill Up said that this game deserved the hype. BUT let's be honest, CDPR alongside journalists and the fanboys actively fooled us.

    Now here's how the actual game is, first the character customization doesn't feature sliders and more options, so you can't mimic yourself in the game. Secondly there are 3 lifepaths and I enjoyed all the three lifepaths. In fact, the story, the writing and the characters, the graphics are amazing. I can give it a 9.5/10 on that department. But when you are just travelling in the world looking for activities, this game is underwhelming.

    So the positives are good story, characters, music and writing as well as the scripted action moments.

    But here are the negatives, NPCs barely look like humans but more like mad robots, NPCs appear and disappear out of nowhere, NPCs have pretty basic AI, all NPCs just fall to the ground when you kill someone, the Cops appear out of nowhere and doesn't even come with vehicles, you can't drink or eat except from scripted missions, you can't buy food, the NPC interaction is very minimal, they just ask you to f**k off when you talk to them, they repeat the same lines, NPC's T-pose, NPCs walk straight to buildings, they just stand in one area, you can't play games on arcade machines, there are no random encounters between police and cops, the shooting doesn't feel good, the ragdolls are very basic, the driving is bad, the UI is complicated, the crafting is bad, sometimes gun and hand doesn't align together along, there is no barber shop, no mini games with another 200+ bugs.
    So how is this world the most lively and believable open world in a video game?
    But worst of all, the performance is just so bad. Look at RDR2, it's NPCs have good AI, the game looks and runs great on 8th gen consoles, always having FPS above 28, there are some NPC heavy scenes but they don't drop performance. You can buy food in the game, rob a shop, watch a random gunfight, go to fishing, have a hair cut etc. There is no excuse that the game is very badly optimized. This game should have released next year. CDPR is not a god because of just one successful game, I always embraced CDPR but now I also hate their false promises.    … Expand

    Lo compre para ps4 normal, y es injugable, vale que vaya a 30fps, vale que no vaya a 1080, lo asumo, pero joder un crasheo cada x tiempo? en 5 horas de juego 4 crasheos, eso sumado al tiempo de carga, entre crasheo y crasheo, solo falta que se me corrompa la partida. Espero sinceramente que lo arreglen porque no me gustaría que una compañía como CDp se estampara.     Hi there. I bought CP 2077 between 3 month until release on PC. Now i found too many bugs in a game! IMHO this project is very raw product, Many animations is too bad,,, Many game scripts are freeze and corrupt, need restart mission about 3 and more times... I think CDPR was in a hurry and many develop ppl was changed... That's sucks and i hope they can fix more issues approx 1-2 month.

Учитывая не слишком высокий уровень графики я считаю недопустимым просадки до 20-30 кадров на средних настройках. Чем вы занимались столько лет? Вместо добавления кучи вариаций вагин и пенисов и прикручивания всякого трансо-говна лучше бы занимались технической частью. Абсолютно ублюдочно-скотское отношение к покупателям, откровенный плевок в лицо игрокам. Я чувствовал, что после ведьмака 3 эта компания начнет скатываться в глубины и постепенно достигнет уровня EA и Ubisoft.… Expand

    gameplay is bad, story is littlebit confusing, not even close to be a memoreable history, and nothing more to say, is not a complete fiasco, but is close too, i mean is just a regular game for me.

This game shouldn't receive so much praise considering the buggy mess it is, this game should have been delayed by at least one more year. Never in my life, even as a QA Tester have i seen so many gameplay breaking bugs on day one ... So i ask you this ... Also the game was hacked by pirates and published in pirate web sites day after it released on steam so its unsecured and UNOPTIMIZED piece of dog poop GAME, it was my first time and last time when I pre ordered any game.… Expand

    This game is horrible. I wish that i could watch many particles of the cyberpunk world that do the world real. But all things around the main character are an empty ugly walls and roads. I am serious - the world of GTA SA (2003 year) is more beauteful and have more things that do the world real. There are no good views to watch and relax in this game. Only graphic bugs and 25-33 FPS. YouThis game is horrible. I wish that i could watch many particles of the cyberpunk world that do the world real. But all things around the main character are an empty ugly walls and roads.     This game is the worst. I wanted to be a hot dog stand owner in some city but then Rockstar games had to ruin it for me. I didn't get to sell a single hot dog or get to play as a hot dog salesman?!?!?!. Honestly Naughty Dog you could do better on your next cyberpunk game. Lets just hope the Cyberskunk dlc is better than this grease ball of a video game.

    Now I have really given it some time, but I am so disappointed. The game just doesn't seem finished. There is so many bugs. It's like no way near what they pitched in the trailers.

    I will give it a shot again in a couple of months though.

    Wasted potential

    This game basically tries to be GTA on steroids but instead became GTA on meth. It does everything GTA does, but worse.

    Lot of content that was promised is lacking. The game is unfinished and buggy. The performance is so bad that you won't see decent graphics even with RTX 3090.

The guns feel satisfying, the parkour is good, the story is decent, and I really do not care for the whole game, as I know it will be updated over time.     The cops literally spawn behind you and most of the time they nuke you before you have a chance to move.
    When you start the game no matter what path you choose soon or later you will end up doing same missions.
    The game was advertised as the most ambitious game, the most intense open world game.
    They sold us lies just like the other companies. For example back around January they said the game runs surprisingly well on consoles and the game is complete but they want to polish it a bit. In fact they worked at the console version until the release date.
    All the fanboys blame the community for demanding the game so early, and death threats etc.. when in fact CDPR said they didn't launch the game because of the pressure of the community.
    The game runs awful on last gen console and the fanboys defend the game saying that the hardware is too old and the game is for the next gen console. If that is so, why there are last gen special edition console coming with the game then?
    If you have time and dig the internet for every statement that CDPR did during these 8 years of development and comparing with the final product you will have a surprise, how much they could lie just like any other company...    … Expand

While the an infinite number of options in developing your character and weapons, along with the crafting abilities is really awesome , the game itself does an absolute terrible job in balancing everything, along with feeling completely disjointed. You can beat the game without even coming close to utilizing the very large selection of customization. This leaves you updating and collecting everything, well after the main campaign is done. It feels completely unrefined in how everything is connected with regards to leveling up.

    D. Maybe it’s me, but the amount of story is really overwhelming - even the ending - I found myself skipping it a lot towards the end. It’s just tedious. Again, this may be somewhat subjective, perhaps other folks really love getting into the story, personally, I think it feels like a chore. I think about oldschoool games, like Metal Gear solid, etc. and you simply dive in, hear a little story here and there, and then you get to playing. It feels like the whole game was out of balance. Way too much story and not enough gameplay in the campaign.

    I really wish a game moved away from "main story" / "Side gigs" and into something that felt more like a 1st person / strategy game hybrid. But maybe that's just me.    … Expand

    Night City feels dead and empty. The NPC AI is something out of an early 2000s game as they're completely uninteractable. At the sign of any action, all you get is an entire city of NPCs performing the same cowering animation in exact synchrony.
    Cars are just blocks following a path like they're on a rail - no reactions or deviation in behaviour. Just stop and go.
    When you turn around, cars and NPCs despawn. Upon turning back, you find entirely different sprites loaded in their place. I havent seen these cheap shortcut mechanics in games since 2005.

    The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

    Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

    Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
