    Abysmal. Yes the game looks pretty, in some areas is pure eye candy. But its a very shallow experience, forgetting about the obvious bugs that will occur in any play session, there is so much lacking in the game, the city is boring, there is nothing to do, stores, bars, etc are just there there is nothing interesting, Police spawns immediately by art of magic, all in all a very mediocreAbysmal.     cdpr and their shareholders make their people work hard for a minimum wage in Poland
    just go on and short the stocks, they rate this company with two titles as big as Ubisoft

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I am now never going to get overly hyped for a game, especially if they release gameplay trailers way before it gets released. The game looks good I guess, but there are lots of games that look better. The AI is awful, the story is mediocre, and the main character isn't cool or likeable. The only thing this game has going for it is its aesthetic. The cyberpunk aesthetic is great and I love the futuristic open world setting. However the world is an inch deep and a mile wide. There's not much to do besides the same old 5-10 minute side missions and the main story. The story isn't something I want to play more than once, even though the game was constructed for you to do that.

    Legitimately more than half of the main story is sitting through boring conversations. After putting up with these for a few hours, I started viciously jamming the skip button as quickly as I could because the conversations just go on and on and on. It's just time filler. The story also feels like a bunch of setup for three hours then random filler stuff in the middle, and then you get to the end and complete the setup stuff. I wasn't invested, I didn't care about the characters, and the story isn't very in depth.

    The combat isn't bad, but the hitboxes aren't always accurate. The cyberware and mods are really cool and I think the hacking is one of the most enjoyable aspects of gameplay. Regular combat is very normal and uninteresting though.

    This on top of the glitches and bugs just makes this game a massive disappointment. After finishing the main story, I probably won't play it again until they fix it.    … Expand

    As many others have said, this game looks great but is fundamentally empty when it comes to gameplay. Feels more like a tech demo where you marvel at the detail of the city, but are denied any meaningful interaction with story and character.

This is possibly because your life choices in the game barely matter, and the Cyber punk feel never really gets off, as you can barely interact with anything. The ever present clipping bugs, the AI when driving is dire, combat requires no thought, driving and crash physics are tediously poor, dropped items stuck in clipping, unusable shops, pointless food, poor NPC dialogue, people spawning and disappearing in front of you, tech weapons fire through walls or any other object with no hindrance, hacking is boring and childishly easy and the mini map is useless for driving navigation. The only interesting and well-thought-out objective is the main quest. Utter wasted potential, after a few hours it becomes a collect a slightly better weapon and gear game. If you expected cyber innovation, or believed any of the hype, you are probably going to have to wait a long time for the modders to make it enjoyable.    … Expand

    I am not giving this game low score totally because of bugs. The gameplay is extremely boring and instantly put me to sleep. 90% of the game is talking with NPC's and the most disappointing part of the game is that you have access to so much customization but you wont even see it unless you look into a mirror. This game is one of the most overhyped games ever.

I will not be surprised if later there would be found evidences of insider trading as well - CDRP stocks reached the peak and start falling 3 days before the release, when they already knew that game is crap.

    Utterly atrocious. Knowing that the developers of this made Witcher 3, this is an embarrassment. The graphics are crap, there are so many bugs it's ridiculous, and we waited nine years for this steaming pile of trash. I don't care if I can customize my dick, if I can't even play the game. I'd rather play Fallout 76 than this trash pile, and that's saying something.

    If you had asked me a week ago this rating would be higher But, I just ran into the saved game bug wiping the progress that I had on my main save. And when I checked the forums I got a lazy “fix” and lecture on how I want to play the game is wrong and I should just start over. I think the game could be great. Story is there, the games foundation is there.     Fun until you pull back the curtain. Nothing matters. Choices don’t matter. Lifepaths don’t matter. Never see your V so character creation doesn’t matter. Sex is PG so your ‘customisable genitals’ don’t matter. AI is broken. City looks great but all style and no substance. Buggy and unoptimised and a chore to get running well on even a decent PC. Story is on rails the entire time until theFun until you pull back the curtain. Nothing matters. Choices don’t matter. Lifepaths don’t matter. Never see your V so character creation doesn’t matter. Story is on rails the entire time until the very end. Voice acting direction is terrible and English female V seems bipolar, angrily screaming one line to calmly going to the next. Inventory is a mess. Crafting is unintuitive and unreasonably expensive at higher levels to push out the grind.
    So why a 4? Even with all the problems I am on a second playthrough. Wide open (but generally empty) world to explore, Multiple endings to explore and the cybernetics system is fun to play with.

It's either reveal background story, access a door, hack an access point or give a passive buff for you in combat. Neither of it change the outcomes of the story and behavior of the player. All you need is gun and bullet because they are everywhere and free.

    To be fair, Cyberpunk 2077 has a decent world, graphic, lightning that creates a unique life and atmosphere for night city. The story and characters are actually decent and good.

    Unfortunately, that's it.

    As an open world game, AI and world interaction are very crucial. However, the game doesn't even has a proper AI behavior, as they promoted ''1000 of AI daily routines''. They can't even proper react to player action. Let's not talk about there is no subway system and flying transportation in this game.
    You can't interact with the world itself is a shame as the dev labelled it as open world game. To summarize this, all the thing in the world is just a decoration for the world.

    Next, poor graphic on the minor detail. End of 2020 and the dev decide to deliver us a low poly steak and paper french fries. Looks at those burger. How can a player unseen it when some missions require you to meet at a restaurant. Those pop in 2D vehicle always despawn on near and spawn at distant is ridiculous. To summarize it, to promote RTX on major detail and totally ignore the minor detail.

    Conclusion, the game is a rushed and unfinished game that just want to use Keanu Reeves as a bait to hook players to buy it. If you really like it, is good for you. But bear in mind, you are the reason why dev doesn't care about the game quality but profit.

    I honestly wish that CDPR promote it as a linear storytelling action game instead of open world rpg game, because it failed as it is... even worse than Watch Dogs as they are too similar if you comparing them.    … Expand

    Experienced a game breaking bug 6 hours in. Can't get past a certain part now, but from what I had played, the game was half decent but nothing special. Buggy to no end and very disappointed.

    Will be playing Deus Ex to try to experience what the game could have been.

    We are now 2 years after launch, gave the game a try due to patch 1.6 and sadly it's still very much the same game.

    The open world is still boring and lifeless, AI is still beyond simplistic. no dynamic and interesting events, no car chases. nothing.

    They kept saying they have added a lot of DLC's to the game but for CDPR DLC = cosmetic items in game. but they keep marketing it as this awesome thing you should be excited about and mentioning how it's so great that such DLC is free....

    2 Years later and CDPR is still trying to save this game with Marketing instead of actually improving the game and fix basic issues with it.

    The levels of delusion around this game are truly baffling. people praise this game and outright lie about what is in it. They can't all be bots or CDPR employees so I'm not sure what's this phenomenon is.

    This game is not total **** (to some people) but it's definitely not a good game.
    There are points of light in it for sure, but people tend to play them up to be more than they are.
    The overall game and story are still very basic and simplistic.

    The game recently got mod support so that will extend the life of it and maybe we will have something decent to play thanks to modders.

    Things to know:
    - Amazing soundtrack
    - Beautiful world
    - Open world in name only (it's a lifeless shell)
    - Rudementy AI
    - Simple story with a lot of holes in it
    - Boring simple side quests (Mostly, there are a few gems, but they are the exception not the rule)
    - Plenty of bugs and broken systems (yes, even with 1.6)

    I'm sad for Mike Pondsmith and the Cyberpunk series. we really thought CDPR will do it justice, but it seems all they can do is pure perfume on the pile of **** they created.    … Expand

Also you can tell this game was written in the last 3 years based on how the whole story revolves around so many women. Even after fixing all the bare minimum basic issues, its unclear whether    purposely did not allow console reviews.

    Everything about this game is scam, no amount of coding and patching won't help recover that. The foundation itself is full of errors.
    Dead Npcs, unrealistic everything, no interact able 'open world', false promise of night city, infinite broken features. Happens when 2/3 of budget was spent after marketing.

    Great story, pretty visuals, and that's it. Not an RPG, no meaning to choices, "open world" is empty and meaningless to explore, and the gunplay/melee is worse than vanilla FO4. Once the storylines have been played out, there's no reason to stick around this game. Not what I thought I was buying, will use GOG's 30 day no questions asked refund policy.

Besides main story (which is really small by the way), and probably couple of side-quests everything else is in "go there bring that" or "go there kill them" format. I could go on for a long time, those things are just a tip of the iceberg in the ocean of CyberScam 2077… Expand

The atmosphere is very good and the character design is very attractive, but at the time of playing it does not show any advane or new achive in term of RPG, and even as a shooter it is crude. It does nothing well other than its script, but a script that for performance and mechanics is overshadowed, is not a script that can be enjoyed.     Никакой нелинейности здесь нет. Жизненный путь - вступление на 5-10 минут, а дальше встаём на рельсы.

    ИИ - убожество. Что машины, что неписи, что враги. Про полицию даже говорить не хочу.

    Мир - красивый. И на сколько красивый, на столько и мертвый. Болванчики появляются из неба, ходят от столба до перехода и обратно, проходят сквозь гг и растворяются на глазах. С машинами история аналогичная. Полно пустых локаций. Заехал в пустошах на горку, посмотрел на шоссе - всё усеяно 2д модельками. Сел в машину, выехал на шоссе и никого (кол-во НПС в настройках выкручено на максимум). Интерактивности с миром нет никакой. Можете в клубе потанцевать, разве что.
    Квартира - нафиг не нужна. Магазины - аналогично. С ближайшего врага выбьете шмот лучше. Город изучить не получится, так как "Эта дверь закрыта". Зато по 2 минуты будете в лифте подниматься или опускаться.
    Знаки вопроса - вообще смех. Зачистка вышек в духе Мафии 3: убей врага, загрузи вирус, принеси чип. Хотя вся эта игра и напоминает Мафию 3 в красивой обертке и с иллюзией выбора.
    Это не РПГ, не шутер, не симулятор. У персонажей происходит биполярка, если вы своими диалогами пытаетесь сойти с рельс. ВИ, которого только что пытался убить Джонни, вдруг заявляет "Джонни, ты это видел?" и начинает с ним общаться как с лучшим другом, потому что я не пошел на сюжетный квест, а по дороге свернул на сайдквест. Ни о какой вариативности, хотя бы уровня Ведьмака, здесь речи не идет. Сами попробуйте отговорить местного мессию и убедитесь.
    СДПР схватились за всё и сразу, а в итоге не смогли ничего. А с учетом моря багов, такое ощущение, что игру вообще в попыхах клепали на коленке. Да еще и повырезали большую часть контента, ибо выпускать уже пора, а оно не работает. Игра заслуживает 5-6 Т-поз из 10, не более. Ставлю 1, так как фанбои уж сильно завысили оценку вполне проходному продукту. А если посмотреть на обещанные золотые горы и ролики, которыми поляки нас пичкали на протяжении двух лет, а затем посмотреть на финальную версию, то повеет ароматом Ватч Догс и Дивижн.     I played the game for over 90 Hours on PC. The game is missing a lot of features they boast about in the game. The game is also not an RPG game like they said before release and later on after the game's launch they changed the game to action game on their store. The Ai for the police and NPCs are poor. The game is littered with visual glitches and bugs to a point where it breaks the game immersion to the player. 3RD person view cutscenes is only used at the game's ending and removed for all other missions. Player can't customize their character after creating it or even change their hair cut.
    The mini map is extremely poor to a point were a player can miss a right or a left turn while driving because the mini map doesn't even zoom out while driving fast. Driving a car or a bike in Cyberpunk is really not a good experience( Driving feels heavy and annoying to some point.).Player can't customize their car. No cutscenes for RipperDocs when adding new cybernetics. The world of cyberpunk 2077 feels empty and lifeless thanks to the poor AI design in this game and the removed features. 90% of dialogs in this game have no consequences whatsoever to the final ending of the game. The in game economy is broken and needs to be balanced. Buying cars and bikes system is extremely bad too. And the list of things that i found troubling in this game can go on forever to be honest. A game promised to be the best,biggest, and most advanced rpg open world game we have ever seen. With huge hype market campaigns and Keanu. What could go wrong. Everything, everything when wrong. The game is a lie. All false advertising. “ most advanced AI” they said. It’s literally worse than oblivion’s AI. The game is unfinished even after 8 years. This pains me to say but CDPR is now worse than EA for this. My god is this bad. I’d rather have loot boxes shoved down my throat, than get lied to for 8 years about a “ godlike game” only to have not even that good graphics and the most dead atmosphere I have ever seen. The story is ok not great but not bad. The gun play is stiff and boring with quick hacks being bland and replaceable. The decision making doesn’t matter and the hundreds of supposed hours of gameplay are just the same quests over and over again with different names. Truly the worst game of the year.     Welp, I'm writing it. Never written a review for a game but i feel like this needs it. As somebody who's been an rpg enthusiast nearing twenty years now i've seen and played basically everything from j to a to mmo to fps, handheld, console, pc. i've seen and played all the best every genre has to offer and this game...this game was like being promised an ubisoft e3 trailer except that's what the real game is going to be for a fan like me. I'm at the point where after having been through everything you could see out of rpg's nothing short of near perfection will impress me. and that's what this game claimed it was going to be and more. genre defining story, graphics, combat mechanics, immersion, character building, and all the bells and whistles a fan like me could ask for was promised from a company that has maybe not the best but definitely a good reputation. And it was lies. every bit of it was lies. in all honesty there are so many game companies i believe have released titles that are more than worthy of false advertising lawsuits and as much as it breaks my heart to see a game i was desperately waiting for to come out be on that list i have to say it. this game is mediocrity marketed as the bleeding edge in the genre and ill explain here if i even have enough characters to do so.

    Story-the potential for development of this games story had the groundwork for the best setting of anything i've ever seen and maybe 10% of it's potential was realized in this game. a post collapse world recovering from a war with ai's, the net has evolved to the point that it's become an entire seperate reality for those capable of navigating it, the most technologically developed city on the planet teeming with organized crime from every level of the system from the lowest pits of slums to the upper crust of corporations vying for political dominance of the world and you're a gun for hire out to make a name for himself. there are so many concepts begging to be explored by the story from deep personal stories to all kinds of metaphors relating to the real world. the sky was the limit for potential! and they promised it would be everything we wanted and more! and what'd we get? an average story that can be completed in 40ish hours with a few different endings that explore like i said about 10% of what this game could have been. maybe a handful of engaging sidequests throughout the entire cities worth of over a hundred sidequests to find. this game could have had multiple games worth of 200 hours+ long main stories thats how packed the setting of this game was. and they took it and somehow took 7 years to make this predictable linear unexplored pile of mediocrity. There are entire books/movies dedicated to just the concept that alt cunningham represents and she was just a just an element you used to move the main plot of the game forward. The amount of time players should have to get to know and attach to great companions like jackie tbug and dex deshawn is 1/10th the time it took them to get wasted with no modularity to the story for even some of them to live. none of johnny silverhand's ideals were cohesive with his actions in the slightest. hatred towards the corporatocracy that robs people of their freedoms and turns them into mindless consumers and uses whatever means necessary to perpetuate its own system rather than work with others towards the betterment of the whole? rock on thats good stuff. starts a band to make angry music about corps and does nothing but do drugs fornicate and commit low scale acts of terrorism that amount financially to tp'ing somebody's house to a megacorp? like what even? then he somehow gets his hands on one of the single highest security class wmd's to exist. a nuclear warhead. with no explanation as to how then thinks hes somehow going to accomplish anything towards killing the corporate system by nuking one major corp hq with nobody relevant currently inside of it. johnny's entire character is a mass of wasted potential that could've been a spectacular metaphor for what a warrior against corporate overtake of society could embody. the dynamics of the arasaka family and the dichotomy between the characters of saburo, seeking to uphold his rule as the most powerful man in the world through any means necessary for the sake of his family's prosperity and honor and yorinobu, seeking to dismantle his father's empire for the sake of the people, could've literally been it's own story branch of the game with a completely alternate main story but it was relegated little to no exposition for either of them outside of a handful of tidbits in the end of the story before the branching endings and one of the endings.

    it appears i don't even have enough characters to write anything on the gameplay of this so i guess it ends here. i could occupy this all over again with just my opinions of the gameplay and raw mechanics of it all.    … Expand

    The game is barely able to defend itself when it comes to storytelling and attracts attention mainly due to its graphics. The story itself is actually written very mediocre and not only is it shallow, but all the choices are practically completely illusory. Unfortunately, the remaining elements of the open world are already below criticism. The RPG elements in the game are practically non-existent, and neither is any NPC intelligence. The world has nothing to do with the open world because the lack of any meaningful activity makes creating yourself entertainment pointless. Driving is like driving on ice. The fight is amusing for the first few hours, and then the stupidity of the opponents makes it completely irrelevant and is only an obstacle that artificially extends the time in the game.

    Unfortunately, despite the nice beginnings and interesting moments in the game, it is difficult to give the game a higher rating considering all its disadvantages. And I'm talking about the PC version. I will not even mention technical issues. And I say this as a fan of the universe and the creator's previous games.

    The Cyberpunk 2077 name is basically just a brand at this point and not a game, look back to all the months before release, CDPR were selling statues, apparel and even custom computers! Heck they even partnered with one plus at one point to make a custom version of the one plus 8T. All this game is to me is a ****ty attempt of making kids go "Wohayyy that's what all the coooool kids are gonna be playing, I want a copy"

Not fully programmed. You can always tell where content has been cut out. Instead of ARASAKA they should use CDPR as an evil company in the game.

Однако какой же позор меня ждал после запуска.
    Оптимизацию если и подтянули то незаметно, открытый мир и нпс в нем остались такие же тупые, багов как по мне стало только больше, например во время погонь, когда высовываешься из окна, я перестал слышать звуки стрельбы. Желание проходить игру на новых железках мгновенно отпало.
    Недавно CDPR запретили продажу своих игр на территории России, так что страницы в магазине отныне просто недоступны, из-за чего нельзя даже занизить рейтинг. Поляки решили прогнуться под русофобию и просто предали одно из своих самых больших коммьюнити. Теперь то Путин точно выведет свои войска из Украины, ведь О БОЖЕ, он не сможет купить киберпанк. Ничего никогда больше не буду покупать у этой шарашкиной конторы лицемеров.    … Expand

Cyberpunk needs Ukrainian localization. Not all Ukrainians understand Russian or English well. And not all Ukrainians are comfortable playing the game in Russian. And it's notI'll be honest. The optimization still sucks (rtx 2060 still can't handle this game well on a medium settings) It become a little more stable but nothing more. And i still believed in CDPR until its stupid inappropriate and inadequate decision to stop sales in Russia. Because of political reasons. Nothing stopped mefrom buying your games I saw a great team making fantastic worlds. So what a hell? Didn't we support you? Didn't we pay for your games because we trust you all this years? How could you make such unreasonable decision? Maybe you think that it makes us hate our government but I think we all must be responsible for our actions and your one was way shortsighted.     This is the most unoptimized game I have ever played. Unless you have a $3k or more PC you can’t run the game the way it is intended. On top of that, the bugs make it barely playable. I can’t believe they released it in the state it is in.

    I think the story is very well done and engaging. The dialogue options are well done and people in the comments say that choices don't matter BUT THEY DO! He had to go a different route to get the information needed. YES, the overall story is essentially the same, but it does change HOW you play the game and how you interact with NPCs. DO NOT believe those people saying that your choices don't matter. I mean, how do you know your choices don't matter unless you are restarting every conversation. Lucky for me I am comparing with someone else so I KNOW they matter.

    Keanu Reeves is awesome.

    There is tons to do besides the main story. Some of it is fluff, some of it actually has interesting plot.

    Combat is fun and can be challenging-- I suggest you do a fair amount of side quests to level up and become a real BA. This also prolongs the main story.

    I feel that the environment that they created was done really well, though buggy.---Especially the sound design. Going into bars have great ambiance and when you enter a battle the music is pretty hype. I feel they did a nice job of making the different parts of the map feel unique to represent the cultural diversity

    I think this game has the potential to be a 10/10 or at least 9/10 if CD Projekt Red continues to release patches to fix bugs. The game is RIDDLED with far too many bugs that range from cosmetic to making it un-enjoyable to play in rare moments. Sometimes NPCs will randomly appear and disappear or lean against something that isn't there. When looking in the mirror my character appears bald when wearing head armor. If you are with someone during a mission and you get farther ahead of them and a door closes triggering the next sequence, in some situations they cannot catch up basically keeping the mission from continuing since you can no longer talk to them. I've had the experience of getting stuck on a wall during a fight and the experience where an enemy won't lose health. The nice thing about these bugs is I have never had a bug that an autosave was too far back that I felt upset about the bug. I save quite often, usually when I'm being stealthy or going to be doing something risky. The game autosaves on it's own quite often, more so than many other games I have played. I feel bad for CD Projekt Red--If they had a choice I feel like they would've delayed it, but they were already scrutinized by fans quite a bit--and now fans are tearing them a part for delivering them an unfinished game. THIS is why Bethesda is taking so long on ES6 and why the next Mass Effect will be far off after people scrutinized how unpolished Andromeda was. CD Projekt Red is not a HUGE team and I think they bit off more than they can chew for the allotted time they were expected by fans to produce a game of this magnitude. They WILL make it right eventually and I look forward to playing future DLC.    … Expand

    RPG elements. Even worse than the open world. They just aren't there. 0/10. I wish I had more to say, but they just aren't there.
    The reputation system, wanted system, etc is an absolute joke. Cops spawn from thin air in front of you and even if you have the maximum level of wantedness, it will completely fall away if you simply walk a block. 0/10
    The character customization tool is nice, but very much under utilized. You can only do any character customizing during creation - you can't change your hair, get tattoos, etc during the game. There are three penis sizes to choose from, but only 1 vagina variation. And it doesn't matter as I played through the game twice and never once saw my own junk. Not once. If you are wearing a hat and look in a mirror (which, btw, is not a reflective surface in the game world that you walk past, it's one of a handful of things you must interact with), you are bald. Inexplicable you are bald and NOT wearing your hat. In the mirror. 0/10
    Personally, I do not think this is a big of a ripoff as No Man's Sky was. However, No Man's Sky was from a dev with a lot less experience. There is no excuse at all for CDPR, who did this after the NMS debacle. And lied through their teeth the entire time.

    P.S. - Music is really good but sound effects suck, mostly suck.

    In overall can say, that this game is stable 6/10, but poor performance when game do not have graphics better, than Korean MMO and a lot of CDPR lies... force me to cut 3 points, so 3/10, wait for patches and performance fixes, game is interesting, not a good game, but not a bad one, story is also OK, but nothing special, you may have fun, if you will be OK to play an outdated graphics game with poor performance...    … Expand

    The gameplay is very shallow and the choices inconsequential. It's more borderlands than witcher 3, and there is very little punk to be found.
    It's shiny, but not chrome and the game feels early access with many pointless mechanics or half assed concepts and designs

    Absolute trash based solely on comparing it to the deceptive marketing used by CDPR and Warner. Past the bugs, lazy AI, potato style driving physics and railroad style."open world", it plays like a glorified GTA5 cyberpunk mod but without any of GTA Vs core game quality.

    This game deserves to be the poster child of pre order scams.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is **not** an rpg. I might get called "sweaty" for this, but I'm playing through cyberpunk 2077 and it doesn't feel much like an rpg to me. It feels like it has rpg elements, but it seems to differ greatly from its tabletop namesake. Granted I'm only in the first act. Act 1 Spoilers ahead: I don't understand why there aren't any major choices that switch things up, so far. I've played through Act 1 a number of times, a number of different ways, but the results are always the same. I understand there's a bit of a linear plot they're leading up to by having Keanu Reeves nest in my brain matter. I get that. I know it is key that Keanu haunts my brain and tries to take over my psyche. But they can still give players fun choices within that narrow-as-hell railroad track and watch different scenes unfold that still lead to the same turning point. Dexter DeShawn is my example here. I've played a few different ways with Dex. I've been nice and loyal to him. I've lied to him. I've been apathetic toward him. I've outright yelled at him. Nothing changes. He still reacts to me the same. He still shoots me in the head. He still leads that Arasaka guy to my body in the landfill and gets himself shot. Why? This could have played out in so many ways. When I go to Dex's place after Jackie dies, I should, say, have the option to just kill Dex. Right? Say, we get in a fight, I shoot him, then I go into the bathroom, wash my face/punch the mirror/whatever, and as I exit, Dex's goon knocks me out (as he does anyway). Then say the goon (not Dex) shoots me and dumps me in the landfill, only to be led back there by the Arasaka guy and shot on the spot. It's the same story, but I was given more agency. So far, Cyberpunk makes me feel like I am strapped into a rollercoaster car on a one way track, rather than getting behind the wheel of a fun off-roader. I really don't understand how this game is a full fledged rpg. Or how it can railroad a player so hard through a 45 minute cut scene from the moment I'm shot in the head to the moment I wake up in Viktor's ripperdoc parlor. I do enjoy the game, but it doesn't hit me like an rpg quite does. I miss the video games where choices caused different outcomes and the player feels like they have some agency in the world.… Expand

    It's really not a game with any depth or engaging gameplay. It's a watered down gta and definitely not an rpg. A true case of style over substance however the awful graphical performance holds the style back.

    The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

    Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

    Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
