    The art direction of this jewel just throws us in a cartoon-ish ambiance. Both of graphisms and soundtracks are incredibly well made, these tasks must have taken a enormous lot of time. The drawings are perfect and, the colors are correctly handled. The difficulty is well-sized, probably not for kids, but everyone else can confront this.     I recommend this game to everyone who believes in himself, wants to learn patience, unity with his Self and watched Naruto.
    A little more and it was possible to put a cast on your fingers, but I coped.

    This game is a 10/10 in all of its aspects, super polished and incredible fun to play, it is a difficult game but fair and the challenge is very rewarding, the graphics of course are the main dish and the are just glorious the way the animated the game is superb, buy it and enjoy this game is glorious and new stuff is coming DLC soon!

    Challenging game with and memorable characters, art style and music is incredible. I've never played a game with more charm than Cuphead. Only thing that's missing is online co-op and this game would be perfect by definition.

    The art style in this game is absolutely amazing and the music is stellar. Seeing the final phase of each boss was super cool. The difficulty in this game makes it even more rewarding when you finally beat that boss you were stuck on. I'm talking about such bosses as Bee, Dr.Khauls Robot and King Dice, words cannot describe how disgusting it is to fight against them, and at the same time these fights are one of the longest in the game.Now we can talk about Run'Gun, on the first two islands they are rather complicated and interesting, I personally don't know what happened to the developer when he came up with the last two Run'Guns, but it was at least alcoholic intoxication, because I just can't imagine how sane a person is can come up with this **** especially Run'Gun in the port is a complete dumbstair. But despite these gameplay disadvantages, I am ready to recommend this game to a hardcore player or a platformer lover. 8 / 10… Expand

    Lo jugué en cuanto salió en la pc de mi hermano, recientemente lo compre en GOG y la experiencia fue mas gratificante dado que me adapte muy rápido y de hecho lo terminé en menos de 12 horas. Es un juego único, graficas no vistas en ningún otro juego y una banda sonora que es apreciable por cualquiera, junto con Celeste son de los mejores indies que he jugado en mi vida.
    100% recomendable.

    This game was made with care and time, something that the big projects like Fallout 76 didn't have. It's super good, hard, and the art and music is just perfect. The problems are that it's a bit short, some levels are more fun than others (hate run and gun) and some perks are useless. But overall it's a good game, probably one of the best indies ever made.

    Really stunning art! 11/10! However, the gameplay is a bit repetitive, no progression to feel. I didn't feel the growth as a player either, like you do in Furi or Hollow Knight.
    But the art, man, the art is so wonderful!

    Cuphead is a blast from start to finish. The silky mechanics are complemented by the vintage, beautiful art style. As the charming ceramic duo pummel boss after boss to Maddigan's excellent soundtrack, the stakes are steadily raised. By the final level, you will be glued to the screen. It's a great day for a swell battle. You're up!

The fact that every boss battle in this game features literally hundreds of frames of animation is just seriously impressive. The game play is also of course very fun but it sometimes feels like some things are added to fights with only the intent to make the fight harder not more fun. Some examples of this are the auto scroll in some fights like Grim matchstick and that stupid bee. There is also a fight in the dlc that literally flips the screen disorienting your view. None of these things are fun to deal with but they are otherwise small road bumps in this overall pretty great game.… Expand

    Bela trilha sonora, personagens cativantes, toda arte conceitual do game é esplendida. A gameplay em si gira em torno da tentativa e erro, se você tiver paciência (é o que o jogo mais retira de você) em errar bastante, no final será recompensado com uma bela vitória.

    cuphead is a game that I was surprised by the graphics identical to the 30s references. The bosses are different from each other the music scenarios and of course the attacks we have frogs with reference to street fight that throw fireballs and the other one plays flaming insects you will have to learn the attack pattern of each boss and the villain talking about it the story. It was so cuphead and mugman left their house and went to bet more will win so many that then they are challenged they will stay with the casino and the wealth more if and Losing will not have their souls and they will lose anyway the old kettle gives you tips and of course magical powers shots and now just knock out all the bosses and the game is over We have shots one looks like a marble another a boomerang another one follows the enemies one keeps carrying it and so on We also have specials, I will only speak the first you give a horizontal blow to your enemy and items one makes you invisible in the attack, another 4 or 5 lives, your special load automatically. Definitely game looks childish but trust me the game difficulty can out run many new games of current generation. Ya I understand it’s a good thing and makes the game more interesting but with the pinch of salt I feel its quite unfair with people looking for patters. The game in particular is very good and challenging and could be played for hours the old school animation and retro gaming concepts hits a sweet spot for some and may seem boring to others… Expand

    Cuphead to nietypowa i wymagająca platwormówka inspirowana kreskówkami lat trzydziestych. Nietypowa, ponieważ zamiast typowych scrollowanych plansz w ramach normalnych poziomów walczymy z bossami (i dobrze się stało bo ich jakość jest nierówna), natomiast typowe, platwormowe plansze są jedynie odskocznią. Wymagająca, bo każdy boss jest unikatowy, wytrzymały i zrobi wszystko by nasCuphead to nietypowa i wymagająca platwormówka inspirowana kreskówkami lat trzydziestych. Nietypowa, ponieważ zamiast typowych scrollowanych plansz w ramach normalnych poziomów walczymy z bossami (i dobrze się stało bo ich jakość jest nierówna), natomiast typowe, platwormowe plansze są jedynie odskocznią. Wymagająca, bo każdy boss jest unikatowy, wytrzymały i zrobi wszystko by nas ukatrupić. Świetna, gdyż ta tródność w więkrzości przypadków wynika nie z tego, że "przeciwnik oszukał", a ze względu na uczciwe wyzwanie które nam stawia. Też dla tego, że karzdy z stawiających nam to wyzwanie przeciwników jest świetnie animowany, świetnie wygląda i jest wyjątkowy. Dla tego, że uprzykrzającym nam życie kolejnym klęskom towarzyszy świetna muzyka.
    Jak już mówiłem, zamiast typowych plansz "bieganych" zazwyczaj musimy uczestniczyć w planszach "walczonych". Te dzielą się na dwa typy: "skakane", w których skaczemy oczywiście, żecz jasna tak by poobijać przeciwnika, oraz "latane", w których, nie zgadniecie, latamy, w sumie w podobnym celu. Ze względu na to, że są one podzielone na dwa typy, rozgrywka jest bardzo zróżnicowana. Chociarz obie są wysokiej jakości, to nie oszukujmy się - te pierwsze są wyszszej. Wspomniane zróżnicowanie przejawia się niestety też w poziomie trudności - zdarzyło się, że przeciwnik z wyspy pierwszej był trudniejszy niż przeciwnik z wyspy trzeciej. Na pocieszenie mamy chociarz wybór poziomu trudności.
    Gra oferuje nam kilka rodzajów broni i umiejętności. Tych pierwszych efekty wizualne są bardzo satysfakcjonujące, w przeciwieństwie niestety do tych dźwiękowych. Dźwięki są ledwo zauwarzalne. Wiem dobrze co na celu miał ten zabieg - nie psucie klimatu. W podobnym celu nie są podawane efekty ataku, zadawane bronią obrażenia czy nawet pasek życia wrogów. To wielkie minusy.
    Jaki jest jednak najwiękrzy tej gry plus? Zaraz po grafice i muzyce, bzdurność przeciwników to najwiękrzy atut Cupheada. A jaki jest najwiękrzy minus? Brak nagrody za pokonanie wroga. Nic. Żadnej monetki, punktu. Nic.
    Ale czym on jest przy poprzednich plusach, oraz tych niewspomnianych jeszcze plusów. Jakich? Na przykład uroczej fabuły i dialogów, potancjału na maksowanie, i wielu innych żeczy. Jedno jest pewne - Cuphead jest grą wartą polecenia!    … Expand

Combine that with the music also reflects what was most commonly seen in cartoons in the 1930's, it perfectly captures all of the aesthetics and presentation. I do not have a single complaint about the presentation, its truly something you have to see and experience, I can't think of anything else like it.

    The gameplay is also amazing. The gameplay really calls back to the platformers from the SNES era - this includes the challenge and frustration as well. It has a balance between run and gun levels and boss battle levels. What I think this game does the best is capturing the spirit of memorization that was required for the SNES era. You could not beat many platformers from that era without trial and error, and then blend that into memorization. This game is brutal and punishing of any mistakes. The more your try a level, the more you will fail, you will probably become a bit frustrated, but you don't realize how each attempt you get one step closer to completing the level. While this was common in games from the early 90's, this is something that people who are not used to the challenge may struggle with. I highly recommend this to everyone and encourage everyone to push through the frustration, because that is how we got satisfaction from gaming as a kid. You would get stuck on a level for days, sometimes weeks, but when you beat the level, the amount of satisfaction and sense of achievement that you feel is something that cannot be replicated.

    It has nice visual style but gameplay is unfair.

    It is trial and error. You keep repeating the same levels until you play it perfectly.

    Worst of all is there are no checkpoints in levels so you restart everything from beginning if you lose all your lives.

    After some time you just quit or finish with a trainer.

    For the simple retro style that it has, it already deserves a 10 but speaking of gameplay it is very good with easy to learn and intuitive controls if it is difficult but that is the grace of the game since there is nothing more satisfactory than to beat that boss who annoyed you highly recommended.

    I had the time of the world playing Cuphead, the game's so charming and fun. Cuphead is one of the best indie releases of the recent years and due to its unique and beautiful art style it never felt like an indie game to me. Cuphead is one of those very few games that i demand a sequel for it.

    Cuphead is a fantastic experience. If you want to experience one of the best platform games of the 8th generation, cuphead is made for you. Everything about this game is gorgeous the graphics to the gameplay. The difficulty is well-balanced as well. My only complaint is that They could have made a better balance between bosses and run n gun levels.

    This game is awesome. The controls are great, the graphics are splendid and the game play is fun as hell. Prepare to die a ton, though. No punches are pulled here. Oh and the music is addictive.

    I played it with my friend a lot. And we both love this game, its interesting and beautiful retro style. It was interesting to go through bosses that were completely different.

    Very refreshing gameplay, I like that you have to learn every boss and enemy and that its not that easy as other platformer like mario or donkey kong. The graphic is very individual and nice.

    The incredibly charming art style, reminiscent of the early Disney cartoon era, makes this game a treat to play. The art style juxtaposed with the challenging run n guns and boss fights makes this game a favorite of mine. Takes lots of patience. 10/10

The main thing to me is the gameplay and it's honestly pretty fun. I've beaten all the bosses on Regular, then stopped playing because I didn't want to break my keyboard. Funny visual gags are present throughout inkwell isle and are especially noticeable in the animations of bosses and enemies. The music is fantastic and is worth listening to on its own. The boss fights are well made and feel distinct, with responsive controls (though aimingCuphead has a lot going for it. The boss fights are well made and feel distinct, with responsive controls (though aiming while standing still is annoying if you play on keyboard). With so many positives it seems strange to give Cuphead such a low score, but the game does have one major issue. The game feels purposeless. Sure bosses are challenging and unique, but there is no reason to beat them other than to say you did it, that you beat the game. If this game had not been as popular as it was, there is no way I would have chosen to beat it. Games with challenging bossfights like Hollowknight and Darksouls provide a reason to play, they provide deep and immersive worlds that are rewarding to explore in their own right. Cuphead didn't need that exact idea implemented, but it did need something to shake things up, to give the player that extra reason to keep going forward. Multiple times I'd play for half an hour, kill 1-2 bosses, and just leave because I was already tired of playing. A game that drains the player like this fails as a whole, and if it didn't have such wonderful eye-candy and ear-candy I would definitely put it lower.

    10-15 hours to beat if you're a mid player like me, maybe buy it on sale if you like to challenge yourself.    … Expand

    A game with one of the best art styles i have ever seen. The gameplay is not that complex and new but the boss rush system is fun. The expert mode when you finish the game doesn't really add much to the game, but can be a cool challenge for everyone who thought it was too easy. I don't think I have to mention the story, it's not really important for that kind of game.

    Overall this game is a masterpiece. However there are minor inconsistencies in the game that can make it really frustrating to play.

    There seems like there are a lot of times in the game where you cant really dodge getting hit or your character randomly doesn't shoot when entering a new phase which can be really frustrating.     The game's hand drawn animation is beautiful and the world is charming. Little details such as the menu saying the game was made in 1931 really elevate the overall experience. The bosses are all filled with so much life and the game strikes the prefect balance between difficult and insanity.

A shot like lobber and peashooter can’t compete with charge or roundabout the two best shots in the game. The addition of run and gun levels were also a weird decision. A more focused game that focused solely on 1v1 boss battles is better than adding additional content especially when it feels like the developers are out of their depth in these levels. But yeah other than that the gameplay is very fun. Good bosses. Fun gameplay, beautiful animations. Edit: the DLC is worth it easily 9/10 even though it is abit short. But better to be left hungry for more than wanting it to end after all that is what a good Desert does. (I wanted to review the game as a whole and not the dlc as a separate game).… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game has many things to love about it, it has an incredible art style, some very creative puns and names, and so many fun battles.
    With that said there are a couple bad things to be said to, mainly the difficulty. The difficulty itself is fine, a challenge is always accepted but the problem I had was with the order of difficulty because I found a lot of early bosses to be hard while some later ones easy, (example: Calla Maria, easy late game boss, while dragon, is very hard to beat on a first playthrough but is only in world 2).
    With that said though I think that even when a boss is difficult then I find it fun to check which tools/weapons could fit the best, its like a small little puzzle of finding which weapon would work the best, and with that said I think the best part of the game is the creating custom loadouts for each boss. Would recommend if you like challenge 8/10    … Expand
