    One of the best games out there till date. Ive been playing a variety of modern games now but still counterstrike fives me something all the other games dont have. fantastic teamplay, still nice graphics if u think about it being very old, the best gameplay out there!! Its just awsome the game!!!!

    Wonderfull game, allthough I would rather give it 9.6 for it's lack of reality - and Also the incredibly foul design of the weapons, most rifles and pistols are wrongmade in the design!

    This is a great game. Always new servers, always fun. Tho there are hackers, Valve is making progress in stopping them and they can be easily banned. This is a must have game!

    Sweet Game... BUT.. there are many cheaters still on servers. and VALVE has yet not done much to fix this. Other than this disapointing peice the overall game is quite satisfying.

    Effing awesome. It would be better if the servers werren't crawling with hackers. Maybe if it wasn't so hacker-friendly. Other than that. Amazing.

    counter strike is a game that teaches you how to use your eyes to there full potential. You must be a fast thinker and good at stratigic thought. I have NEVER enjoyed a game as much as i do with cs.

    This is my favorite game.It is fun,violent and very addictive.They even have warcaraft3 servers where you can chose from different heros and races.

    GRATES ONLINE GAME OUT THERE... this i the agme that is made for games... you can have lan with this game unlike you can with CS:S because it just an online game and rubish recoil so there is no point in lan and this game also has many loyal players which valve have left and havent done any updates in ages... Thats the way our loyaalty is returned...

    The game is etablished in the gaming scene since.... don't know... since 1997?? And still one of the most played ego-shooters. Thats speaks for it self!

    Been playing for a long time. This is the one and only game I ever come back too, I rarly ever get tired of this game. I can play for 12 hours a day for a year and still not be tired of this game.

    The number of players and servers at any given time says it all. I have played way too many hours a day for way too long and still cant get enough of it.

    One of the greatest games of all time (certainly my favourite). If you can, go buy it (it's cheap, and the cd-rom 'talkie' version is much more than the smaller, floppy disk version that you're likely to find if you steal it online). Oh, and try not to cheat... a walkthrough really shortens a game that you want to spend as much time as possible playing.

    i played it in cyber cafes b4 and it was da bomb! i just got cs from steam 2day and it's been updating for 10 hrs!! i just cant wait 'til its done so i can whip some candy @$$ on this b!*ch. lol. update is only 31% its probly gonna take like 3 days 'til it 's completely updated omfg! but other than that i kno this game is the sh*t and i dont mind waiting. =)

    Better than its attempted-remake, Counter-Strike: Source. It is much more difficult to master, but also much more rewarding for skilled players. Also, most all major competitive tournaments, with thousands of dollars in prizes, use this version of Counter-Strike (1.6), over Counter-Strike: Source. CS 1.6 is a necessity in any gamers library, and is especially fun at LAN parties with friends.

    This is by far the best team based first person shooter. You can't compare any other games to Counter-Strike, because it's in a class of its own. I really do feel that anyone could enjoy this game. You won't regret buying this.

    Best Multiplayer game of all time nothing comes close to this, the more you play this game the more hooked you become it is fun at all levels of ability. Especially as you do not need the best of computers to run it makes it a game for everyone who likes shoot em ups which involve thinking instead of mindless slaying.

    Played the game sens beta, loved it all the time. But nowdays i only play for funt from time to time at public servers. But no more, all this cheating, whinning and unmature behavior makes it NO-fun at all, so to all you cheaters/whiners/unmatures thanks A LOT for screwing this game up ! =/

    Simply amazing, 6 years on now and still the number one only FPS both in number of players world wide and prize money for top end leagues. A game all can enjoy, a steep learning curve rewards those who master it, while always being fun to play.

    I recently got this game off steam and I like this game. The gameplay is awesome and the vast majority of servers is entertaining. The reason why I'm giving this game a 8 is because of the glitches people use on the different maps. Besides that this game rocks. Go buy it now.

    Best game ever played, best gameplay, graphics own!! Sound cannot be that realistic especially players and game play!! Communication rocks, instead of having to type it you can either use the default ones, (z,x,c...) or have ur own voice chat as ur real voice, needed microphone. Absolute best game, addictive and very repetetive!

    a very good game !it's a long time that i play counter strike and i play again not like wow or another game that we play just some month and we stop. The default is people say bad word everytimes.

    Every so often a game in a genre comes around that seems to be the peak of the genre. CS is like that with multi player shooters. Its better than anything before it and everything after it just adds un-necessary additions like better graphics or new "features" (like prone position, duck and cover) This is a pure shooter, the michael jordan of the genre.

    I rated 9 because: 7 points for nice interactive game. 3 for large choice of weopons choices of what to do places and full explanation for everything. -1 for lack of superb graphics. the graphics are good but not superb.

    The perfect online fps, nothing comes close, nothing at all. You will not find a better fps that literally requires the same amount of skill and tactics required to play this game. Twitch gaming at its finest, forget counter strike source, 1.6 PROVES gameplay over graphics will prevail.

    Counter Strike 1.6 is the best of Counter Strike. Period. The game play in 1.6 is unparalleled in the FPS world even by its own successors. The fact that CS:S and CS: 1.6 are even comparable rating wise is a mockery of any rating system that exists. Look at the player stats for both games. Enough said.

    Great game, physics seem realistic if you've ever gone running around with an ak 47 the recoil is accurate, its a very very cheap game to buy and you get way more than your moneys worth. If there was an 11 on the scale of 1-10 id give it just that.

    This is a very good game with lots of servers with all kind of people. It has its several mods from Super Heros to the lastest Pokemod. This is one of the rare cases where its an old game that will continue to advance in time without it being forgot.

    Counter-strike is the best game you can play online its so good. If u dont have something to do just play Counter-strike and you will be happy. Well this is something i just have to say we all start as a noob then we go Pro.! The awsome thing is you can even make money out of being a great player.

    Realism is what I've always wanted in a shooter. Death match games where you respawn every 5 minutes seem to have been done to death. But, realistic scenarios involving terrorists and anti-terrorists, realistic weapons, and great maps combine to create the best combat I've ever experienced in gaming land. And the best part??... The fact that you must buy your weapons actually influences the gameplay somewhat, and you won't always find yourself picking the most expensive one you can get. Great maps (with a few exceptions) and awesome communication options (YES! voice chat!) round out a stellar package.     Simply the best multiplayer game ever made. It's not up-to-date in terms of sound and graphics, but is playability is top-notch. Nothing comes close, not even CS:Source. This game runs in almost any hardware and everyone is able to enjoy it. Fantastic game. Period.
