    This game was, and still is, one of my favorite games. I purchased Counter-Strike about three to four years ago, and I still enjoy it till today. Patches are virtually non-existant, because there is no need for them- gameplay is balanced, and the game is truely a test of skill and reflexes. The graphics are still decent, but it's the multiplayer experience of gaming with peopleThis game was, and still is, one of my favorite games.     This is by far the best team based first person shooter. You can't compare any other games to Counter-Strike, because it's in a class of its own. I really do feel that anyone could enjoy this game. You won't regret buying this.

    Best Multiplayer game of all time nothing comes close to this, the more you play this game the more hooked you become it is fun at all levels of ability. Especially as you do not need the best of computers to run it makes it a game for everyone who likes shoot em ups which involve thinking instead of mindless slaying.

    Simply amazing, 6 years on now and still the number one only FPS both in number of players world wide and prize money for top end leagues. A game all can enjoy, a steep learning curve rewards those who master it, while always being fun to play.

    I recently got this game off steam and I like this game. The gameplay is awesome and the vast majority of servers is entertaining. The reason why I'm giving this game a 8 is because of the glitches people use on the different maps. Besides that this game rocks. Go buy it now.

    Best game ever played, best gameplay, graphics own!! Sound cannot be that realistic especially players and game play!! Communication rocks, instead of having to type it you can either use the default ones, (z,x,c...) or have ur own voice chat as ur real voice, needed microphone. Absolute best game, addictive and very repetetive!

    Ridiculous game... started playing it in 2002 in 4th grade and it's 2008 now and I'm still hooked to it. I've gotten tired of this game, moved on to another, but I always, always ALWAYS come back to this. This is one of the very few games that actually requires skill to play.     a very good game !it's a long time that i play counter strike and i play again not like wow or another game that we play just some month and we stop. The default is people say bad word everytimes.

    Every so often a game in a genre comes around that seems to be the peak of the genre. CS is like that with multi player shooters. Its better than anything before it and everything after it just adds un-necessary additions like better graphics or new "features" (like prone position, duck and cover) This is a pure shooter, the michael jordan of the genre.

    I rated 9 because: 7 points for nice interactive game. 3 for large choice of weopons choices of what to do places and full explanation for everything. -1 for lack of superb graphics. the graphics are good but not superb.

    The perfect online fps, nothing comes close, nothing at all. You will not find a better fps that literally requires the same amount of skill and tactics required to play this game. Twitch gaming at its finest, forget counter strike source, 1.6 PROVES gameplay over graphics will prevail.

    Counter Strike 1.6 is the best of Counter Strike. Period. The game play in 1.6 is unparalleled in the FPS world even by its own successors. The fact that CS:S and CS: 1.6 are even comparable rating wise is a mockery of any rating system that exists. Look at the player stats for both games. Enough said.

    Great game, physics seem realistic if you've ever gone running around with an ak 47 the recoil is accurate, its a very very cheap game to buy and you get way more than your moneys worth. If there was an 11 on the scale of 1-10 id give it just that.

    This is a very good game with lots of servers with all kind of people. It has its several mods from Super Heros to the lastest Pokemod. This is one of the rare cases where its an old game that will continue to advance in time without it being forgot.

    Counter-strike is the best game you can play online its so good. If u dont have something to do just play Counter-strike and you will be happy. Well this is something i just have to say we all start as a noob then we go Pro.! The awsome thing is you can even make money out of being a great player.

    Realism is what I've always wanted in a shooter. Death match games where you respawn every 5 minutes seem to have been done to death. But, realistic scenarios involving terrorists and anti-terrorists, realistic weapons, and great maps combine to create the best combat I've ever experienced in gaming land. And the best part??...     This game is just a blast to play. The fact that you must buy your weapons actually influences the gameplay somewhat, and you won't always find yourself picking the most expensive one you can get. Great maps (with a few exceptions) and awesome communication options (YES! voice chat!) round out a stellar package. My only complaint is that the ping can sometimes get really bad on 56k This game is just a blast to play.     Simply the best multiplayer game ever made. It's not up-to-date in terms of sound and graphics, but is playability is top-notch. Nothing comes close, not even CS:Source. This game runs in almost any hardware and everyone is able to enjoy it. Fantastic game. Period.

    CS is the best game I've ever played. Offcourse the graphic iis not that good, but the lifetime of the game, OMG you will never get tired of playing CS! The whole consept about playing against each other in teams and try to win, is used in every game and sport. CS is a sport. But offcourse, I suggest you got something other more active to do, if not, people will get fat and ugly! I CS is the best game I've ever played. The only bad thing is the graphic, its not that bad, but could be better. I suggest that valve and steam makes CS on a higher level at that point, but make it like those who don't have a PC that is capable to run high graphic, also can play CS at a lower grapich. After all, the graphic is'nt that important, its the gameplay! AND THE GAMEPLAY RULES!… Expand

    Been playing this game for 4 years now, and I haven't found a game to be as addicting as this one. Great game all around. And with all the numerous mods for counter-strike, theres something in it for everyone.

    A brilliant game. Most enjoyable game around, 6 YEARS after its release. Beats the like of Battlefield 2, and other leading online games HANDS DOWN.

    I´m a brazilian player of this game, and in my opnion it´s awesome. Of course, like any other game, it has some issues to be corrected. One of the things I don´t like about the game is that it´s so easy to a player that never played before (Newbies) shoot headshots at anyone. The other thing is about Sniper (AWP) - It´s a lot unreal to use a sniper rifle I´m a brazilian player of this game, and in my opnion it´s awesome. Of course, like any other game, it has some issues to be corrected. One of the things I don´t like about the game is that it´s so easy to a player that never played before (Newbies) shoot headshots at anyone. The other thing is about Sniper (AWP) - It´s a lot unreal to use a sniper rifle jumping or running, and kill someone with one single shot. In my opnion, sniper could only be used at a stand by position, and don´t take all health points (HP) away (unless if it hits the head). (Sorry about strange writting, like I said, I´m brazilian).     I've been playing Source and 1.6 for 3 years and they're both amazingly fun and addictive. Not nearly as many people cheat as some people make it out to be and with a wide array of balanced weaponry, even noobs can find something enjoyable in it.

    I've been playing this game for 5 years along with thousands, maybe even millions of other people. It's the only game where people make true friends in real life because of the Lan Tournaments. Greatest game to date.

    Regardless of what anyone says, this is the best game ever. Most gamers care about action and gameplay rather than graphics. This is an original and the best game that is team oriented.
