    I love this game so much, I've played it for a long time and I still play it! Some how I don't change game. Very good teamplay/groupplay.

    It's the best game This game is addictive...I have played this game for 4 years now, and I'm still addicted to it. In the later years, it will be in the hall of fame (or should be) as the greatest game of its time.

    Very addicting and always fun to play. For the kids who say cheating is a huge problem 90% of them are noobs and they just suck so don't listen to them ;), 10/10 amazing game and ill quote Ciobanu S. "The head-shots are the maximum ecstasy of this game." a must buy :D so BUY!

    Seb V if you are thinking and looking only for a good graphics and new games - i think that you are bot and llama at once. this game is awesome. No other have so much many players and no other stayed on top for 8 years as you already said. So shut your mounth and sit clear, pussy!

    Starting to play and love it since 2000, and still addicting even it is already 8 years! I agree that graphics are outdated and I also hate that we can shoot through almost all walls, that 2 minus points make me rate 8 rather than 10. And the plus points are many,many internet servers available or create your own via dedicated server and if you buy via steam, you get Condition Zero also

    This game is really good even though it was made in early 2000 its still good in 2008. I never get tired of playing this game or the newer version. Its one of the few games that requires enough skill, but not so hard it frustrates you. People who think this game is bad or too hard just are too used to easy games where you spray all the time.     This game never gets old and is very addictive. In my opinion, it is much better the any other version of Counter strike. You will play this for hours once you get the hang of it!

    I have been playing this mod for 10 years now. Every time I play a new game, I always come back to this one. This truly is revolutionary game. The game play is like no other FPS. It is intense and addicting. My ALL TIME Favorite FPS game and one of my top two favorite ALL TIME games PERIOD.

    This game is so well balanced, maps well guilt, gameplay still stronger than any other shooter out there. It deserves to be bought right on steam. I have been playing cs for 10 years since its release date, and i will always love this game. Pretty much my childhood :] and im not a virgin for u queer dicks reading this saying "nerd".

    I've been playing CS for 6 years and yes, CS 1.6 is still better than Source in my opinion. The gameplay is still fantastic and the community is just growing larger and larger.

    if you can honestly right down a score lower then 10 i recommend you play the game a little more. consider this the game was made in 1999 and is still played everyday by thousands of gamers though the graphics arnt as nice as they were in 1999 the game play is the same game that we all played back in the day. no game can compare to counter-strike and wont for a while.

    Great game, but due to earlyer times when hacks where everwhen in the game, its hard to be a very good player and not be banned from servers for pure skill but still going to be one of the main games to play for many more years... plus a few texture modifications over the time.

    best game ever, only the hitbox has some issues but I fancy the old "square" style graphics,where everything is crisp. I always hated the "quake 3" feel where everything is round and soft. Unfortunately the gaming industry is tending to rounder. Sniff.

    CS 1.6 is the best online game forever. Easy to learn, hard to master and you will get addicted to it in no time. Additionally it is a lot of fun! Although it's not that new, it is the best game! I love it!!!

    This is without a doubt the best game ever! I drive a Big Rig in real life, and so I know what I'm saying when I say that Big Rigs Over the Road Racing is the most realistic truck game ever. It's realer than real it's so real! Buy as many copies of this game as you can, it's the most perfectly WINNER game ever!

    This is a well mad game. For both advanced gamers and "noobies". I would say it is one of the best first person shooters out there, most games have to many glitches and hackers. Steam and valve have worked very good on kepping this game well made and running it well. Pwned

    This game is awesome because it takes reaction speed and accuracy to be good. Also in order to achieve skill it takes practice which is an object in games that make it so fun.

    I started playing 1.6 at my cousins and became addicted, recently i moved onto source but came back to this amazing fps because the awesome feel counter strike delivers that all others dont.

    This is an excellent game that keeps you always on the right frame of mind. With excellent real-time scenerios and rivitng online expierience, this is the #1 game in my book and has been since 1.5!

Since I found beta 6.2 kicking about on some ftp back in the year 2000 I reckon to this day I have played CS at least once a month in each month of the last 6 years. I have played this game more times than any other game. When you consider that this game is a free modification thats pretty damn good.     One of the best games out there till date. Ive been playing a variety of modern games now but still counterstrike fives me something all the other games dont have. fantastic teamplay, still nice graphics if u think about it being very old, the best gameplay out there!! Its just awsome the game!!!!

    Wonderfull game, allthough I would rather give it 9.6 for it's lack of reality - and Also the incredibly foul design of the weapons, most rifles and pistols are wrongmade in the design!

    This is a great game. Always new servers, always fun. Tho there are hackers, Valve is making progress in stopping them and they can be easily banned. This is a must have game!

    Sweet Game... BUT.. there are many cheaters still on servers. and VALVE has yet not done much to fix this. Other than this disapointing peice the overall game is quite satisfying.

    counter strike is a game that teaches you how to use your eyes to there full potential. You must be a fast thinker and good at stratigic thought. I have NEVER enjoyed a game as much as i do with cs.

    GRATES ONLINE GAME OUT THERE... this i the agme that is made for games... you can have lan with this game unlike you can with CS:S because it just an online game and rubish recoil so there is no point in lan and this game also has many loyal players which valve have left and havent done any updates in ages... Thats the way our loyaalty is returned...

    The game is etablished in the gaming scene since.... don't know... since 1997?? And still one of the most played ego-shooters. Thats speaks for it self!

    Been playing for a long time. This is the one and only game I ever come back too, I rarly ever get tired of this game. I can play for 12 hours a day for a year and still not be tired of this game.

    The number of players and servers at any given time says it all. I have played way too many hours a day for way too long and still cant get enough of it.

    One of the greatest games of all time (certainly my favourite). If you can, go buy it (it's cheap, and the cd-rom 'talkie' version is much more than the smaller, floppy disk version that you're likely to find if you steal it online). Oh, and try not to cheat... a walkthrough really shortens a game that you want to spend as much time as possible playing.

    i played it in cyber cafes b4 and it was da bomb! i just got cs from steam 2day and it's been updating for 10 hrs!! i just cant wait 'til its done so i can whip some candy @$$ on this b!*ch. lol. update is only 31% its probly gonna take like 3 days 'til it 's completely updated omfg! but other than that i kno this game is the sh*t and i dont mind waiting. =)

    Better than its attempted-remake, Counter-Strike: Source. It is much more difficult to master, but also much more rewarding for skilled players. Also, most all major competitive tournaments, with thousands of dollars in prizes, use this version of Counter-Strike (1.6), over Counter-Strike: Source. CS 1.6 is a necessity in any gamers library, and is especially fun at LAN parties with friends.

This is fun, you can have new maps, new mods, new people to play with so it never gets boring. Try this game out and be stuck with it forever.
