    Just perfect a real Counter Strike game like 1.6 or CSS. Come back to real FPS in esport. Moreover this game is realy not expansive. He is the most epic FPS make by Valve and for esport: 250 000$ for dreamhack, 250 000$ for IEM... Just epic

    One of those games that hit the nail on the head the first time around and as such doesn't need to do anything but improve its graphics over the years and still be the best multiplayer FPS on the market.

    Added game modes are fun, add a bit of spice to the game, but Classic CS is what I came for, and that's where the game shines. "Deathmatch" has the spawn issues that plague CoD (because it's just an insta-spawn gibfest instead of a coordinated effort), Arsenal is fun, you have a lot of community maps to pull from as well but you don't get to play these on ranked.

    And that's the game's only downfall as far as I can see. I feel like the ranked system should have a smaller map pool that changes every week, as it is if I select every map before queuing I keep getting thrown into Dust 2, because that was and still is the most favored CS map by the community. Would be nice if they did something to force people out of their comfort zones in competitive mode, to me that's the whole point.

    Aside from that, still has dedicated servers for free, better hit detection and far fewer latency issues than modern titles that cost $60 and charge you for every map pack they release. The only reason I ever stop playing Valve games is because like everything else, I get eventually get bored and feel the need to try something new, but I always come back to Valve titles. They just do it so much better and give so much more value than everyone else in the industry, and this was even the case before they started earning that Steam money. If they ever flip the switch like Blizzard did, PC gaming will truly be dead.    … Expand

    It is impossible to play it, every step, every recharge, is accompanied by sound. I got the knife - the sound, even when you look at the sight, still there IS SOUND (loud). For the sake of cheerfulness I can kick you, and you are given a ban for it, at least 24 hours (24 hours, not 4, not 8, not 16, but 24), saying "you are often excluded".

    Physics is disgusting, when throwing a grenade in motion, it can fly ANYWHERE, but not where you throw it. The spread of weapons is HUGE, even on accurate trunks! You can release 20 cartridges (for example from M16) to the enemy, get 5, one of them to the head and not kill the enemy (which is strange)! But he is shooting with AK (the machine that is the most oblique, both in real life and in the game) will hit you in the head and kill from the first hit, although it can be seen on the repetition that he holds it ABOVE my head from slopes to the side at half a meter.

    There are a lot of curved maps that give an advantage to either special forces or terrorists. The cost of the same in the characteristics of weapons are different.     Bad graphics, community, developers, some slavs screaming in a voice chat, good cheaters. :) The worst game out there tbh. Maybe it requires skill but it's unplayable and not fun.

    Don't buy this game if your a CS veteran player. the *aiming* in this game is horrible for a FPS !
    The whole game feels badly made and the CS feeling is totally gone !

    If you wish to play CS go play CS Source. !

    Do not buy this game, sooner or later you will be frustrated, because of the huge amount of cheaters and kickers, VAC fails miserably once again, by the way, the cheaters keep calling you "noob".

    And the so called "overwatchers" do almost nothing, they keep ignoring wallhackers.

It's very familiar to the long time veterans who have stuck around for over a decade while offering a much-appreciated face lift and slight variance/additions to bring it closer to modern-day shooters, instead of solely sticking to its "guns" and offering the one classic gametype that carried CS for years without fault. Counter-Strike as aCounter-Strike GO is sharp where it counts. You can literally jump in and out of games at-will. No matter what, whether you're looking for 15 minutes of tactical fury or a 3-hour binge session, Counter-Strike GO still carries the ability to draw an audience and keep it especially for the fans that favor the less forgiving mindlessness that Call of Duty has rewarded so abundantly.     Best game in the franchise since CS 1.6. Same amazing team-based gameplay with some new guns, grenades, and much more. Valve is working very hard with the players on this one and it is the most constantly updated and worked on Counter-Strike game ever. In fact, Valve and Hidden Path were working with the CS community the whole time this game was being developed and they still are forBest game in the franchise since CS 1.6.     With new "operations" players are able to spend a small amount of money to support community map makers and be able to play on those maps they work so hard on to make. In addition, recent updates such as the Arms Deal update allow players to have their own gun skins, apply stickers, and even name weapons.

    As anyone who is new to the franchise, expect a difficult learning curve that is incredibly rewarding to overcome. Valve and Hidden Path are really outdoing themselves with this installment and I look forward to future updates.    … Expand

    I prefer CSS. I've started playing CS1.3 15 years ago and I liked the graphic improvements and new maps in CSS but I don't really get why CS:GO seems popular. As of 2015, you can get BF3/BF4 for almost the same price as CS:GO. I can understand that CS:GO can be more competitive since it's infantry only, etc. It's probably the only good point in my humble opinion. The graphics look outdated, the UI is so-so, people are still playing the same maps 15 years later ... I don't get it. I'm pretty sure if you take the time to search, you can find some interesting modes and maps in this game but I've not found any. Personally I prefer Battlefield and Titanfall, sold at the same price currently. There is no killcam, come on. The casual mode is the one I prefer so far, I hate friendly fire. This FPS rewards camping too much when compared because of the size of the maps, the weapon available and the spread when moving.    … Expand

    This game has flaws, it lacks a lot of the maps from the previous counter-strike games and new updates keep nerfing weapons (deagle, AUG and Sg550), but despite these rather minor flaws this game is very good and enjoyable, and worth playing.     It's Counter-Strike. Where can you go wrong? It's incredibly fun and still retains it's challenge. But Valve should've shipped more default maps, I think they're becoming too dependant on that Workshop gimmick.

In my honest opinion, this installment of Counter-Strike is in my opinion, the best one since version CS 1.5 - although not quite up to par with it. My reasoning behind this is the low tick-rate of 64 on the competitive servers, along with worse hit detection, something which can sometimes totally ruin your day. Other than this, the newCounter-Strike: Global Offensive is a great game. However, I don't see any new mechanics that weren't in the old Counter Strike. A helicopter flying away for a couple seconds on de_dust means "new graphic visuals", I guess.     Gameplay is amazing takes ALOT of practise and skill to become good. Every now and then you may join up with smurfs, hackers, trolls etc.. but overall the game is fun to play and takes alot of your time. 8/10

    I played CS 1.6 and Source for almost 10 years, and with that in mind, I think CS: GO is a great continuation for the franchise. Sure, the game had a very rocky start and in the first 1-2 years it struggled to gain a large player base, but it is in a very good state right now. CS:GO has brought counterstrike back to its reigning spot as the #1 esport FPS.

    The gameplay is not as revolutionary as anticipated. However, still playable and enjoyable as a game. The good features and gears from CS1.6 has been left out and it's basically the original with new graphics, gameplay-wise, it's hardly exciting. However the price is very reasonable for the contents provided, and the graphic is actually not as demanding for your system as it may appear to be.

    It is a big improvement over Source Valve updated the graphics (could've been better, though, but nice) and added more guns and maps but the content from older games from the series is untouched.
    Servers are fast to find by auto match and games are balanced. Unlike in CS: source,    CS: GO is a simple, fun shooter. Some people may find it lacking but it brings out the core of FPS games.
    It is a big improvement over Source Valve updated the graphics (could've been better, though, but nice) and added more guns and maps but the content from older games from the series is untouched.
    Servers are fast to find by auto match and games are balanced. Unlike in CS: source, players have reasonable skill levels and not insane aim bot- like abilities, meaning you can play a game without being surprised and shot right away.

    Good game and extreme variety of maps and community maps. The only problem in game is RESPAWN in DM. Random respawn can turn a FPS game in lucky game because with lucky, you will have serious advantage and without lucky, will die, die, die and die again because people spawning behind u.

The only complaint that i have is that sadly some game modes i cant even step foot into as they are just dominated by "Pro" gamers. I dont stand a chance in game modes like Competitive Demoliton and i understand why,CS:GO is one of the most fun shooters I have ever played. Its game play makes you feel accomplished after every kill and actually takes a fair amount of skill to be good at.     A $15 invitation to reconnect with a classic FPS. Its lost a coat of luster, but its still looking fine. Even though CS 1.6 is better this is still a nice little time waster now and again.

For instance, in arms mode the spawn are more random so you can't really spawn camp.     By far the best Counter-Strike out there. Valve is really working for this game to become the best. They listen to the players. The matchmaking system is great and they have put all kind of customizable things in the game, like skins for the weapons. There's item drops. The competitive field has never been greater and there's some really big tournaments in this game.

    I hadn't played any CS game until GO went free for a weekend on Steam and I would be a liar if I said it was love at first sight. Everything was so difficult and I used to die like 20 times per match even against easy bots. I kept playing because I just loved its graphics too much to abandon it and now it's one of my favorite games. 10/10 graphics 9/10 gameplay 8/10 online experience 9/10 maps.

    As probably most of the market for this game has already at one point played CS in the past I'd like to write this review with a fresh taste on what this newest installment has to offer, in a tee, a very good, balanced, fun and competitive FPS shooter with some casual modes thrown in.

    I'm going to keep it short for those that have been following CS since the 1.6 era; this it better than Source for the competitive edge; the maps are better balanced, some improvements to make it slightly harder to use the AWP (welcome in my book!), and generally better stat keeping. There are no move able props in this either, for example barrels are now static. Certain other subtle things have been done on the CT/Terrorist divide but not much, for example the CTs no longer have weapons that can attach the suppressor.

    For those that are new or relatively new, you'll love the game. It has plenty of modes, mods and maps. A community that just keeps giving and a very easy to navigate menu for playing with your mates. On top of that since CS has such a big following you'll never be stuck for servers.

    One thing that has made CS so good I believe since day one is it's responsiveness, so bare in mind this isn't a slow-medium paced game, it is definitely a quick one and you'll always encounter people that have been playing this game for a long time. It's hard to explain why I've never stopped playing it, but it's the definitive multiplayer FPS shooter in my eyes and if you haven't played it before then for the price it is I wouldn't hesitate.

    A little news on the spec this would require and it's still low considering todays standards, which is a good thing people on laptops with a dedicated graphics card should be able to play this pretty easily.

    Bare in mind newbies that if you get this game you'll find yourself dead a lot, I find myself dead alot and I've been playing for years. There are plenty of 'aim' maps for you to get used to the shooting characteristics of Counter Strike.    … Expand

    Excellent Game. I played over 600hrs. Very fun. Death has a consequence you sit out 1min and watch other people play!

    Three Major Problems that stop this from getting a 10.

    a.) Hacking. Several People wall hack, aim hack etc. and they need to solve this.
    b.) You get matched up with people from Brazil who have pings of 200.
    c.) Game reset my achievements somehow.

    It is an improved Counter-Strike over Source, but there are a large number of problems. Getting kicked out of competitive or leaving in the middle of the round can result in a time-out, accuracy problems, hardware problems and more. However it is still Counter-Strike from deep within, and I like playing it. It just needs to be a little bit reworked.

    This game is great! Its fast paced and it requires skill to beat experienced players. You can even play with bots to get better. This game doesn't deserve the negative reviews it has right now. And its very cheap unlike most modern shooters. $15 is a great price for this great game!

    Improve the hit-boxes, add bunny-hopping. also players don't finch(unlike cs1.6) when they gets hit valve needs to fix that. cross-hair must follow the recoil if valve fixes above problems,its gonna be the best counterstrike version ever

It one of those games that you can pick up after a hard day and find some relaxation in (if you can relax playing shooters). Constant game updates mean that new things are always being added.     Just played it for the first time and when maxed out it looks pretty good. Game play is smooth as silk and it felt a bit like playing Battlefield but different.

(Tec-9, Cz 75, mag 7, Sawed off, Negev) Valve personally has been doing a great job in my opinion keeping up with what the players want.(Valve re added the M4A1 and USP after both were replaced with M4A4, and P2000, which now you are allowed to switch between!)     Really good game i used to play alot of cs 1.6 before i moved to Cs:GO and i must say that it is a beautiful game all around. It has good graphics but the gameplay it's his forte. Especially the multiplayer the ranking system made the game alot more competitive . I recommend it

    Coming from consoles over to PC shooters, I was expecting the same generic click-bang-dead games that I played on console. Counter-strike blew me away, such an immersing, strategic and intense shooter for competitive play.

The two main modes help fit players in. Classic has team collision and friendly fire turned off, as well as less round per game. On the other hand, competitive goes all out when it comes to punishing the player for screwing up as well as 30 round total.

    This is updated version of Counter-Strike like it should be done, there's nothing really wrong with it except the utopia of some gamers that Valve should launch a new engine every year with updated re-releases of each and every one of its products. Unreal.    … Expand

    Every game needs a gimmick. Some, like call of duty, have none. This game's gimmick is super realistic gameplay and physics that make you say DAYUM SON. I have no problem running this on my computer, and the graphics are great.

    I would rate higher but unless you are playing with a group of friends, you run the risk of being abused by other players--Don't get me wrong, my experience is predominantly positive BUT when you are unlucky-enough to be stuck with that type of people i just want to turn my computer off.

And its only 15 bucks. the only reason its not a 10 is because the people are awful not CSGOs fault tho oh and people complain about non veriety in maps then vote for dust every round

I feel very mixed about this game, since unlike in source, you can't ignore the microphone in this game, as it is very essential to winning, yet the abuse over voice chat is actually the worst out of all of the games I have ever played. Smurfs and cheaters roam the game rampantly screwing over the people who wish to play legit. As I speak, Overwatch is now out of Beta, so I hope we see some improvement. Valve also placed a new rule that you have to be CS:GO profile "Private Rank 3" to play competitive mode to reduce smurfing and cheating, but it hurts the players who are legit as well, since there is no way to gain enough EXP fast enough to play competitive mode unless you play around 100 dms and win every one. Kids who don't know how to be polite to people also bolster a percent of the fun I could have if the community was nicer to each other.
    On the other hand, I enjoy playing this game because of the high skill ceiling and some of the nice people you meet during the game. I have met people from about everywhere, from Europe to Asia. I enjoy talking to them and learning about their life opposed to my very stereotypical life in the States. I enjoy learning to play better, and eventually rank up, which gives me quite a bit of satisfaction when it does happen, my everlasting hope to be one of the best. So, if you just overlook the cheaters and salty people, you will be set to have a fun gaming experience.    … Expand

    ok so alot of people ask me what shooters i like. is it call of duty no its a hipster trend do i like halo yeah i do but i hate having to pay for xbox live to play it or bothering my mom to pay for it that is. but back in 7th grade when i got a steam account and first played counter strike source i absolutely loved it i put in over 100 hours into it but it eventually just became hackerok so alot of people ask me what shooters i like. is it call of duty no its a hipster trend do i like halo yeah i do but i hate having to pay for xbox live to play it or bothering my mom to pay for it that is. but back in 7th grade when i got a steam account and first played counter strike source i absolutely loved it i put in over 100 hours into it but it eventually just became hacker the video game with no real matches. so when i had the chance to buy counter strike source i did get it and it was so good its what i loved about source with major graphic improvements better sound design and better menus making it easier to get in the kind of match i wanted to play. its really easy to practice now with better bots i can see my freinds list very easy and invite others to play with me. you can mute annoying homophobic 10 year olds and make it more for you and make it your experience! now the game modes are the same and some may find that a negative but i really liked how new it felt and those modes are death match casual and a few others that i dont play alot but there is more! custom load outs are now available and yes for those you mod there is so much for you here. and achievements are thankfully more difficult to get making them feel like achievements. if you haven't played counter strike in a while you will be reminded how hard it is sense 1 bullet can kill you but whats cool about all that is it makes it so much more satisfying when your just the king of the match destroying all competition. now there are some problems though no game is perfect and one thing i found that was a bit anoying was how leveling up takes way too long and its extremely annoying and one of the nice things about source was how buttery smooth it ran even on my pc witch was the opposite of a gaming pc and this game is gonna need some stronger silverware to play it as good. but none of that takes away to much of the experience and get this you earn these cards in the game that can be turned in to steam cash soyou can buy games on steam with it so its kind of like having a birthday all the time and even more so because the game has like this random chest sort of thing were you can get great guns even at a very low level so its got the excitement of deablo now. but you know this is the kind of online shooter i like the most its cheap and you will earn way more in the game then you pay so its an amazing value! counter strike GO gets a 9 out of ten. if it had some new modes and it was a bit better in the leveling up system it would be ten but its so good get a steam account and buy it now!… Expand

    This is a skill/teamwork based fps with a constantly growing community, a cheap game that offers you a hole deal, no dlc or things like that, the only think that you can pay for are weapon skins, which only affect the look of the weapon, nothing else, and apart of the oficial servers you have the comunity servers, where unofficial game-modes can be played, like surfing, bhop, mini-games, etc.

The trolls always come in pairs so not only is the game ruined but you can't vote them off.     This game is both fun and addicting at the same time. Very few problems when playing.

    The only thing that annoys me is the prices in the game. Almost $300 for a good knife, and keys are just way too expensive.

    But other than that, its a good game!

    This game is really good and the graphics are okey but that is not what maters in this game. I LOVE the game play! You really have to lay down time in to this game if you want to be good at it. It's a big gap betwen the low rank and the high ranks which is a good thing. you can really play on your level.

    Talk about improvement. CS:GO is by far one of the best team-based multiplayer shooters out there with almost perfect controls, graphics, classic shooting game play. Plus, it's not so resource-demanding; even some low-spec units can run this on a satisfying performance.

However audio could be better, a lot of times you think your opponent is to the left when he is at your back right side. I've played CS since 1.6.     This game is so competitive. This sport takes $15 bucks to play but if you want to play the game properly it'll take 16 years to master, this is the one stop shop for the PC Master Race when looking for a Multi-Player First Person Shooters.

    This game deserves a 10, I love the way weapons work, spray patterns, spam areas, and much more. There are so many angles of play and so many types of players. The community gamemodes add so much variety to the game and I love mods. The game is extremely balanced and requires no purchasable content that give you an advantage. It is easy to mute annoying people, (not that there are too many) and communication is seamless. If only in a competitive match, the bots would actually do what is told and not sabotage your match. Thats where I start with the cons.
    -CS:GO only supports 5.1 sorround while some other games support up to 7.1 sorround.
    -Bots are almost useless (I say almost because they sometimes stay in spawn and can be taken over if they survive)
    -spraying makes your screen shake, as well as sprays being very randomized. This is a good thing as well, discouraging players to spray.
    -taking silencer off of weapons has a negative effect to spray. (Still doesn't make much sense to me, but I keep the silencers on)
    -bhoping much more difficult.
    -cheaters
    -script cheaters
    -spray control macros/scripts
    Despite these cons, the game is so much fun and will give you at least five hundred hours of entertainment.    … Expand

    I was banned by kikar a guy afk, then he came back and played the first match was afk 2 more matches pq should be with lag why he did not leave the base. When I finished the match ban took 7 days cuz kikei it. Q I want to solve it for it was not just my ban.

    CS:GO is an amazing first person shooter that is known as one of the best competitive shooters. It lived up to the expectations i had of it. I personally love it because it has almost no RNG, so you need to train to play CS:GO and each time you get better, you play against better opponents which makes it fun.

    Absolutely amazing, extremely competitive, a great community and lots of community run, custom servers which enhance the game experience. Mods for CSS are actual gamemodes in CSGO.

Its small amount of games help keep a healthy income of players searching for maps however, this doesn't mean that the games stop there because there are a lot of fan made games like surfing of deathrun.

    The only downside I have discovered is its cases that slowly drain away your money in hopes of getting a 'red' or a 'knife'.

    Putting all that aside I can't help but have fun with this game with its competitive but also casual nature. I give this a 10 not perfect but it sure comes close and definitely my second favorite 'FPS' next to Team Fortress 2!    … Expand

    Pros:Cs:go one of my favorite games, and the winter update the huge mistake(in my opinion), not all bad of course there were some good things like the r8 revolver, the updated graphics and the patch that came after to fix everything up.

    My experience:Roughly dec. 11 2015. I was just playing the game just like I usually do just playing with my friends when, bam we were hit with the update, and at the start we were all excited and stuff. When we realized what was going to happen, it was too late. After reading seeing what was going to happen to our favorite weapon the m4a1-s we were discussing but we didn't stop playing.
    Continued:So the first and second day of the update left the game broke with the r8 revolver, it was just to OP. But soon just about the 14th they fixed it, and balance was somewhat returned, other than the fact that valve still had the spray changes and hadn't fixed the voice chat. After that not much else important had happened.
    Ending:An overall conclusion as it stands now after the winter update is, it’s pretty good there’s still a problem or two, but that's to be expected.    … Expand

    Counter Strike:Global Offensive is not like any FPS. It is never boring and even though repetitive still fun with the countless of modes. But the only problem I realized is that it isint for beginners because everybody is strong and will sniper you down but time will let you practice.

    i spent a big amount of my time in this awesome game, its perfekly working, there are no technical problems.
    The graphic of the viewmodels is very good. the maps arent so good because there are old, but they will be updated in the next time. So BUY it. Its AWESOME

    Sinceramente, uno de los mejores FPS del mercado.
    Aun que, de ves en cuando, hay uno que otro troll, que sólo hace perder la partida; principalmente en partidas competitivas.
    Pero de ahí en adelante, todo depende de tu habilidad para llegar a matar mucho.

    This is one of the best if not the best muliplayer competitive game for pc. If you want to play this game casually however, don't even try. Even in unranked everyone knows how to play and has over 500 hours on record.
