-
Aside from the inability to save the level play, the game is a lot of fun.
-
Though it does become repetitive and certainly won't set any new standards, Combat nevertheless is a decent arcade-style shooter that should at least temporarily please newbies and anyone with an itchy trigger finger.
-
Apparently, the developers were huge TRON fans. The tanks, the levels and the style of play are very inspired by the 1982 movie.
-
Combat has no nostalgic value and without that the game is destined for a short run on the market.
-
PC GamerHere's an oddity: there's no auto-save after each level, or even manual saves. With 30 single-player levels, including bosses, it sure would've been nice to load any level you'd completed. [Mar 2002, p.64]
-
It's simple and initially somewhat fun, but after a while it grows pretty monotonous.
