Jan 24, 2021So, it is a pretty game (although the visual side of it is not mind-blowing). It is a simple and small game...so, whatever. However, the actual puzzles are rather random and weird. It really made me mad that running is like "walking" in a properly tweaked game. I was like "please, I dont want to walk back again". The story is "meh". I really dont recommend this game.

Dec 26, 2020Of course games media has been loving this game. You can hardly even call it a video game there's no challenge no interaction just of woke shallow storyline everything a games journalist loves. Seriously all you do is walk around listening to the story Untold. Actually you don't walk you crawl the movement speed is that slow you could write a novel and eat your breakfast while playing this game.

Dec 18, 2020Meh story, weak animations, it's just whatever. Wouldn't recommend in all honesty. But that's just me and i like quality.

Jan 4, 2021This game is buggy as hell.
I got stuck on the geometry 2 times and the game auto saved it. I lost 2 hours of exploration.
I also found other bugs that are just annoying.
Can't continue.
I played the Game Pass version.
Wait for, I don't know, 5 years to see if all these bugs are corrected. -

Dec 18, 2020This game didn't really keep my interest. Feels way overrated than it should be.

Mar 5, 2022**** story, there are a lot of typos in the game and the game mechanism is so slow at some point in the game like it does not allow you to run to make the moment more "emotional" or whatever. it was infuriating.

Aug 2, 2021Call of the Sea can be described as: a forgettable adventure, sprinkled with fun, but easy puzzles. The exposition-heavy "narration" of the main heroine ruins the atmosphere of this journey, which isn't that strong to begin with, especially for a story dealing with eldritch terrors from beyond. The only reason to play this are the puzzles, although they too fail to keep you invested, as you won't really care about reaching the end, especially if a fan of Lovecraft, which will instantly turn the plot into an extremely predictable one. It has its moments, sure, and the visuals are beautiful, but this is generally a mediocre experience.

CD-ActionJul 23, 2021Colorful, pretty scenery, decent voice acting, lots of interactive objects, and a couple of interesting puzzles give the impression that the game has more to offer than it actually does. The atmospheric first half is good, but the repetitive second part disappoints. The plot makes no sense and the direction it takes is predictable to anyone acquainted with Lovecraft’s work. The further you go, the narrower the path is and you bump into invisible walls all the time. It’s a shame the game’s considerable potential was squandered. [02/2021, p.60]

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Apr 12, 2021A wonderfully crafted fantastic adventure in the style of Jules Verne and H. P. Lovercraft with great puzzles and an immersive atmosphere. Don't miss it. [Issue#309]
