    Game should be still in pre-alpha. This Game has more bugs than my backyard.

    UI looks like a prototype. Looting is crap. soundbugs in nearly every game. many crashes in the first 2 weeks.. and loots of other bugs. Warzone 0/5 cuz only bugs DMZ 3/5 (looks like a funny mode, which could be good in some months) MP/Campaign ?/5 idk im very happy i didn't payed 70$ for this bs.    Game should be still in pre-alpha.     Been playing COD since the original on PC which had 64 player MP and a lot of bunny hopping. This also has (finally) a 64 MP mode and a lot of bunny hopping. Some hardcore fans will hate the new attachment system for weps as to get the best red dot for the M4 AR you need to level up the shotgun,etc.

Maps for 6v6 range from very good to WTF were they thinking. I prefer the bigger maps on Ground War as they seem like a mini BR with tons of buildings and vertical gunplay.

    The Single player campaign is also one of the best in the series and has no loading screens and is shot like a Hollywood action spy movie.

    The main reason I knock off 2 points is because of bugs causing crashes and a lack of certain things like Hardcore mode (which I don't play) and a combat record to see KDR and weapon stats. Other than that if your a fan of FPS games this is an easy buy. If not wait for sale on Black Friday....    … Expand

    Modern Warfare 2 has the potential to be a good game unfortunately SBBM mixed with the worst spawning system and horrible map design that don't play well in a 6v6 environment makes what could be a great game into an average game not to mention the bs decisions like the mini map and perks system. IW is trying to make COD more "real" this isn't Arma or Battlefield this is a COD game and IWModern Warfare 2 has the potential to be a good game unfortunately SBBM mixed with the worst spawning system and horrible map design that don't play well in a 6v6 environment makes what could be a great game into an average game not to mention the bs decisions like the mini map and perks system. IW is trying to make COD more "real" this isn't Arma or Battlefield this is a COD game and IW took out most of what made cod fun.     It's the best shooter of this year for me. Infinity ward just nailed the crack addictive gameplay loop of running, shooting, dying and repeat.
    The weapons and sound design are top notch. Most maps are great as well. The campaign is fun and diverse, but a little hit and miss with its concepts and pacing. Looking forward to DMZ and warzone now, even if battle royal is a tired genre at this    It's the best shooter of this year for me.     Finally the campaign story is great and the multiplayer is fun. I hope they will add more multiplayer content but this is the best COD game for since the old modern warfare series in my opinion.

    Basically don't buy yet cause this is a larger beta, Invasion is just a beta to warzone, the campaign works like warzone, that's a preference tbh. Multiplayer is a good, if it weren't for sbmm.. i have to purposely lose to have fun in the next rounds... who designed this?

It can feel “back to basics” in some ways, which can be nice, but the game also pays a bit of a price for that by feeling a bit light on content compared to Cold War or even Vanguard with no zombies and fewer modes generally. That said, the variety in its modes, the versatile campaign, and fun co-op missions carry Modern Warfare 2 over the finish line just fine as a mostly satisfying entry in a series where it’s getting harder to please everyone in its increasingly large and diverse audience.    … Expand

    The campaign is top tier. All the reviews that negatively mark it, mark it down because of its focus on "nostalgia" which makes no sense to me. Multiplayer is one of the best from any Call of Duty game. Spec ops is pretty fun too. Definitely best Call of Duty we've seen in a while

    I would love to give this a 10/10, but there are so many problems with this game. Campaign-wise, it is one of the best campaigns in the series, the cliffhanger in the end makes me can't wait to see what's next!!! Now as for the MP, oh lord they have so much to fix. For Starters, the map selection is actually pretty good. As always my main complaint is that there should be more on release.I would love to give this a 10/10, but there are so many problems with this game. Campaign-wise, it is one of the best campaigns in the series, the cliffhanger in the end makes me can't wait to see what's next!!! Now as for the MP, oh lord they have so much to fix. Even though there are 16, 5 are dedicated to Ground War and the Museum map is not here(my personal favorite). The new Gunsmith is defiantly unique to say the least. If you already unlocked an attachment, you can use it on any other gun as long as you unlock the base attachment on that gun. I will say lvl up is VERY SLOW if you dont have xp tokens to use. Right now it's more of in a "beta" phase still. I want to fully love this game, but you can't expect us to give this a 10/10 with all the bugs and slow progression we are experiencing. I haven't done CO-OP yet but there are only 3 missions, so there is still much work to be done. And as always, sbmm still exists.… Expand

    If that game was not a Call of Duty, everybody would say it's the best game since a long time, and would give it a 9/10. It's an excellent game. Need some fix for occational crashes, but this game is really a good time. Great campain with great multiplayer modes. Spec ops should be splitscreen offline, hope they add that soon.

    A solid and fun action game. I used to avoid this franchise but always liked shooters. I took the risk and bought this game (the price is a little high I think, especially the Vault edition) and I enjoy every moment of this game. Very playable in my opinion.

    Amazing CoD campaign taking inspiration from the greats of CoD4 and MW2(OG) in worldwide locations and iconic characters which some are also new. Graphics overall are breathtaking being cross-gen too. Gameplay is like MW19 but a bit more fast and fluid, a great mixture between the usual arcady gameplay and a more tactical shooter. An amazing sequel that takes what MW19 did to the next level!

    The game is good. Great sound - though the latest footsteps change is not for the better, great graphics, and almost manageable speed compared to the past 3-5 iterations of the series. I think there will be more tactical modes in the future, but overall it's good as it is.

    Don't care if people say this isn't as good as 2009. I mean the Batman and The Dark Knight are apart of the same franchise but people hold them in the same regard

I had a great time and I can advise you to go through this story, at least it's much better. But this does not reach the same Modern Warfare 2 (2009) in terms of emotions and is not even close to it, in fact, this is theAnd so I liked this campaign, it is diverse, the gameplay is pleasant, the characters are cool. The campaign is a brilliant follow-up the Modern Warfare (2019) and might be even better than that game's campaign. The story is great, the characters are great and the gameplay is outstanding in this campaign.     BLUF: Do NOT spend you're $70 on this game. If you're really interested in playing the latest Call of Duty, continue to track the state of the game and/or wait for this game to go on sale. Crazy how Activision has the right to charge $10+ for the game, yet delivered a bug filled ride and a toxic mulitplayer. Additionally, the game has A LOT of bugs and stability issues. Look elsewhere this year.

    This game definitely met all my expectations. Multplayer which I normally don't like to play, I also played it is great. But the campaign particularly delighted me, the story, graphics, voices, and everything else is perfect.

    It's a great game, bugs aside, bugs and bugs that I'm sure I'll be fixing by the end of the year and the launch of the rankings. Gameplay, shopping mall, weapons are excellent. The plot is good, but short and not memorable.

    This game should never be released in the state it is now. Horrible bugs and frequent crashes. Wait a year before its playable. Absolute disgrace, reminds me of Cyberpunk 2077, same story.

    So buggy! The campaign has a lot of good ideias, but the execution is dreadful. The high points, like the Amsterdam part they showed in the trailer only took like 2 min tops. All the water phases with so many bugs and invisible walls, it was like torture diving and swimming through stuff.

    Some people have experienced significant technical issues running the game, I have not had such experiences with the exception of the odd frame stutter or choppy cutscene. The campaign was overall pretty fun but definitely not as good as Modern Warfare 2019, there was one mission in particular that felt super gimmicky but otherwise was an enjoyable experience. The core multiplayer gameplay is exactly what you’d expect from a standard CoD title, but with faster TTK and slightly clunkier feeling weapons. It seems like they have more recoil than previous titles, and all have pretty noticeable idle sway even after loading up on attachments. The gunsmithing system is a let down for me, too many attachments have too significant negative attributes to be worth using without significant upsides, will hopefully be adjusted moving forward. SBMM in casual queues is frustrating to say the least, if you are an exclusively casual player or someone that falls within the average playerbase you should be fine, but hardcore gamers like myself with thousands upon thousands of hours in tactical shooters will find it painfully frustrating to deal with the current state of matchmaking. The overall UI in the menus for the game is terrible, I loved the interfaces for Modern Warfare 2019 and yet they somehow managed to screw this up big time. It’s just a pretty average title that meets expectations in most regards but doesn’t really bring anything new to the table. If you enjoyed past titles you will probably enjoy this one, but it feels like a step back from the last game in the series.… Expand

    Multiplayer is fun if you liked Modern Warfare (2019), but it's still in a somewhat rough state & could be better (plus it seems like the issues of Vanguard's post-launch support    Campaign is pretty good. Not the best COD campaign & not all of it's changes to the COD formula work (looking at you armoured enemies & tank boss fight), but it's a good time and tells an engaging enough story.

    Multiplayer is fun if you liked Modern Warfare (2019), but it's still in a somewhat rough state & could be better (plus it seems like the issues of Vanguard's post-launch support are rearing their ugly head again).

    Haven't played much of Spec Ops, but it's 100% much better than MW19.

    Overall, I recommend Modern Warfare II, but not at $70 USD/$90 CAD. Wait for a sale.

    Copious game breaking bugs still present weeks after release, few and poorly designed maps on release, constant hounding to buy content, horrifically bad UI.

    The only redeeming feature is that it seems like there is good gunplay mechanics hidden beneath all the other bad design.

    I cannot recommend this game, Modern Warfare (2019) was better in virtually all regards.

    The story mode on the other    Bought it for the co-op multiplayer, but that is very disappointing. Endless waves of enemies, only running/shooting and no tactical approach. Stupid armored enemies that can take five mags. Only two player co-op instead of four like in the previous game, which would be fine if it was more tactical, but for all the shooting that's required it's not enough.

    The story mode on the other hand had exactly the opposite problem: not enough shooting and too many sneaking/hiding missions. The new inventory system is nice, but it's very overused. Collect five of X and two of Y to craft Z. I enjoy RPGs, but no thanks. Boss fights are also a concept that Modern Warfare definitely doesn't need. They were absolutely misplaced.

    One main problem for both modes is that the AI really doesn't work well with stealth. Once you're spotted, all enemies in the area instantly lock onto you and hit you from anywhere as long as there is a line of sight. They don't have to individually detect you, but suddently know where exactly you are and it doesn't feel right at all.

    The gunplay is amazing as always, but that's an expectation by now. Everything else is sub par.    … Expand

    It's one of those games that requires your phone number to play. They are not only selling your information for free, but they are contributing to destroying the game market for their own greedy selves and are hoping you don't take a stand against them.

    The story campaign of the game is that at the level of mobile games, starting from graphics and gameplay, ending with the plot and logic, this is a failure, it is unbearable. The multiplayer part of the game is exactly what you would expect, changes in detail, feel and play like 10 years ago.

    it seems like they toned down the realism in MP for some reason. my favorite modes, gunfight and gungame are missing, since you have to play with different guns to unlock parts for other guns(which is stupid and annoying) those two modes that you play with random guns could be helpful. I have a lot of connectivity issues on steam including update failed errors and not joining games. Update: the connectivity issues are mostly fixed after the recent update
    the optimization of the game is convincing for now but there are occasional frame drops. the file size of the game is far far better than the 150GB+ MW 2019. I hope they let you delete campaign after finishing and don't force you to download warzone to keep the file size low and i hate battle royale.
    the graphics of the game in single player mode is fascinating but not perfect. the lighting is a disaster comparing to MW 2019. MW 2019 had a natural and realistic lighting but MW II has a green/brown tint and high contrast making it a little cartoonish. even with high texture settings, some textures are terribly low res.
    the maps are meh non of them really stand out nor has it's own identity except maybe the hydroelectric map. that's because they focused too much on warzone and all mp maps are different parts of warzone 2 maps which is a terrible idea. remaking old maps could alleviate the lack of good maps.
    with more updates and making the running animations more smooth, and option for changing lighting and contrast, more optimization and fixing connectivity issues there is a good potential for this game. there is a great first person shooter experience in this game that is buried under many issues but it could turn to a great game with more updates just like MW 2019 did
    Update: the sbmm has made the game frustrating for me I'm a casual player but if i do a little good i have to face pro af players in next few matches. the better idea was to keep sbmm for ranked mode and make quick play/casual mode random just like other games do or at least show your skill level    … Expand

    I was lost half the time, the new mechanics are not fun at all and they come without much instructions (apart from the crafting system). Difficulty is also unexplainable, there were multiple parts when I struggled even in Recruit mode, and I used to play some of the previous CoD's in    I have only played the campaign. Looks amazing but it's not fun to play. Worst call of duty ever.

    Kann seit dem letzten Update mein Waffen Loadout nicht mehr bearbeiten. Lande beim anwählen direkt im Hauptmenü. Im Spiel lässt sich keine Waffe auswählen, es öffnet und schließt sich nur das Auswahlfenster in schneller Frequenz.

    Enemies? Just as stupid as they were, although they now know how to bypass you from the flank. Difficulty level? The simplest formula - don't think about diversity, just make the bodies "thicker".
    In the end, it's just a piece of high-quality graphics and sound, and low-quality of everything that makes the game even a little bit interesting.    … Expand

    So sick of these big companies pumping out games that don't even work. Constantly constantly constantly crashing. More bugs than the rainforest, and purchased skins are able to be updated and we can't refund if we don't like the udpate.. Just so sad to see the franchise like this.

    I've enjoyed the campaign - it was relatively lenght for Call of Duty game and the missions were quire diverse. There were some bugs which should not be present in AAA game. Multiplayer is suprisingly low in number of players - I am located in central Europe so that should not be the case. Otherwise pretty fun experience.

    Normally I play campaign multiple times Mw2019 I played 4 times ,but mw2 story was so boring that I played once.

    Infinity ward does everything to destory this game, they removing everything that community liked. 


    My K/D with mw2 is dropped really bad,and I'm not a bad player ,playing sinds  2005 call of duty 2.


    Im now stopped playing this because its gives to much anger and stress.

I would like to bomb it with 0 for extreme SBMM, crashes and missing player stats but after about 100h played I still have fun (when I am not screwed by SBMM too much) so it would not be fair.     Don't buy this if you plan on playing on PC. Constantly crashing for me and my friends for months since launch. Activision and Infinity Ward have seemingly given up and ran with everyone's money. We crash multiple times daily no matter what "fix" we try.

AI is ridiculously overpowered and will insta-kill you from any corner on Hardened or Veteran and armored enemies become repetitive . Soundtrack is forgettable. Too many plot holes that insult the intelligence of its userbases. For instance in one mission you're waiting in an elevator with a member of the Mexican cartel and one of the dialogue options allows you to knock him unconscious, but upon doing that his body completely disappears once the elevators reaches the lower floor and stops. The game never explains why Hassan is working with Al Qatala

    The UI in particular is cancer. Navigating through the menu requires unnecessary button presses and prompts and gives off the impression that you're playing a mobile game, not a $70 AAA title.

    On another note, this game should have never been titled MWII seeing how much it has pissed on the legacy of its previous games and is commonly confused with the far superior Modern Warfare 2.    … Expand

    Fix aim assist for console players or at least ALLOW US TO TURN OFF CROSSPLATFORM.
    One of the worst COD releases so far.

    The game is just lacking content, took out most of what made 2019 good, for the sake of "realism" but then proceed to add wacky bundles and crazy skins. They focus more on the store than on actual content, and warzone 2 is just a embarrassing downgrade of the original.

    You want to play a game where you're dropped in a team losing 0-100 ? You want to quit that game, launch a search again and go back to being destroyed in the same very game ? Search no more then !
    If you want to play a game that crashes for nothing, even 1 year after the release but with tons of cosmetic & pay to win DLC, search no more !

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II offers excellent, perfectly toned-down multiplayer that – unlike the previous games in the series – requires good but not superhuman reflexes. Guns feel better than ever and the extremely dynamic, huge Ground War is a great mode for a Battlefield fan. Modern Warfare II is simply the best online shooter available. What’s more, the single player campaign is outstanding too. Missions in its second half might disappoint those who expect to have their finger on the trigger all the time, but amazing graphics and some really cool assignments make bearing with those gameplay experiments worth it.

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) is a fine sequel that checks all of the boxes when it comes to a serviceable CoD campaign, good co-op options, and a super shiny competitive multiplayer that plays well enough for most. However, Infinity Ward has played it safe with this CoD installment, leaning into the strengths of Modern Warfare (2019) while making minor improvements, but ultimately failing to push the envelope in any meaningful way.
