Nov 5, 2014Feels way too much like borderlands 2.5 (or 1.5 since it happens before in the timeline). The gameplay changes are not what you would expect for a new 60 $ game.

Oct 14, 2014Whilst it's not the best game in the world.it still fun and funny. I mean, move logged 5 hours on it this morning, and I've been liking it. It seems like I'll get a few hundred hours out of it, because, you know, guns.
Besides, I am a Cyborg with a Laser outta Ghost Busters, and when I reload,it explodes on my enemies. I win. -
Oct 14, 2014100% objective review here. If you loved bl2 you will love this. It has the same graphics and same mechanics. With some new twists and new loot. It isnt revolutionary but it is hella fun. If you have never played a borderlands game. Then i would buy Borderlands 2 first and then work your way to this. Otherwise, buy this **** and have some fun.

Oct 14, 2014this is a borderlands game for 1. game play and story is just flat out awesome. its funny and beautiful. just because it is a pre sequal or uses the same engine as borderlands 2 doesnt mean it cant be a fantastic game. i love this game already and i know im going to spend a lot of the next few years on it just like the first two.

Nov 2, 2014Had this been a $15 DLC it would have been a 8 or 9. As a standalone, it is a 6 (with a pity boost, because I appreciate their work on BL2). All in all, the game was done so fast I never felt the need to plan. Some great laughs, but mostly "meh."

Oct 15, 2014Big DLC, but its fun. Not worth full retail, but if you do find it for under 25 dollars someday, get it, it's like a little borderlands, so only worth a little.

Oct 15, 2014Borderlands 2, but set in space Australia. This is a refinement on a formula that has served fans well, and will keep every fan happy. If you like the series, you will like this game.

Oct 15, 2014Stays true to the Borderlands series, and is Ooozing with funny comedy and banter. I love the new characters and skill trees. Playing the PC version and it looks great with it maxed out for its style. I will have tons of fun with this game for weeks to come. Let's hope they pump out some big DLC's quick i need MORE!!!
And of course the game is as Crazy and Wacky as ever. Love it.

CD-ActionDec 13, 2014Derivative, but also colorful, absurd and fun. If you played one Borderlands game, you played them all. [Dec 2014, p.56]

Nov 25, 2014There isn’t a AAA game out there that doesn’t exist to make money, but Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel stumps for dollars in a brazenly insipid way. It’s a paint-by-numbers effort, almost from top to bottom.

Game World Navigator MagazineNov 25, 20142K delivered exactly what it promised: a derivative game which nevertheless deserves to be completed in single-player for the story. And then maybe one more play through with a friend or two, just to shoot stuff and kid around, before setting Pre-Sequel aside until DLCs come. Just as it always is with Borderlands. [Dec 2014, p.64]
