The campaign provides a far better introduction to the rules to newcomers than any previous version as well, with new rules being introduced slowly game-by-game. It is an entertaining campaign as well, although short and story focussed rather than the open campaign version seen in the original Blood Bowl game.

The core of the game is with online play, although solo leagues against the AI are a useful way of trying out a team to get a feel for them before you throw them into the mix against human opponents. I would only really recommend this to those that are willing to play online versus other people, as that is where the real challenge (and therefore sense of achievement) can be found.

Like all Warhammer games there is an element of luck, and minimsing risk is an important strategy. However there will be times when no matter how easy it should be to succeed, Nuffle (the in-game God of dice rolls) will say that you fail, which can be frustrating. That said, there will also be times when that last-ditch, highly unlikely attempt to score in the last turn somehow works and one of your team becomes a hero. Just don't get too attached to them, as permanent injury (or death) is a part of the game and you will lose players along the way.

Highly recommended for anyone that wants an online challenge that is turn based tactics rather than twitch shooting, and is willing to learn from losses and failures along the way.

Most underrated game of the year! Already have 350 hours on record and the game is still fun.

Only if you are certain that you will not play MP (MP in BB2 is easily arrangable) and you shy away from everything that is challenging then do not buy! If you like TBS with RPG elements and competitive MP, this is instant purchase.

Well. This game is indeed awesome and enjoyable. BUT ! There's to much details that aren't yet fixed. The pom-pom girls are always humans, despite the race you're playing or the stadium you're in. The spectators are human. ALWAYS. And, when you push someone outside the field in a match between Dark Elves and Orc, you do not want to see human rampaging your player.
    To sum up :
    THe game IS

It's fun, because it's Bloodbowl. The only complaints I have so far are a few bugs and the fact that the campaign takes forever to get going. I understand the need for a tutorial, but 5 matches that don't even yield points to your players are very dull to go through for a more experienced player.

Solid Game! The second official digital instalment of the Blood Bowl franchise is off to a great start! With a flashy new UI and fluid Character animations, crushing your opponents into a fine paste has never been more beautiful.

A bit rough around the edges but an overall solid experience. The game needs more multiplayer features and easier acces to player stats. Received the 2 extra races for pre-ordering at GMG. Good deal.

It's Blood Bowl. A port of a Games Workshop boardgame that is more than 20 years old, and beloved by many. First and foremost, it's a dice game primarily about managing risk. A solid game that i am enjoying a lot. Graphics are nice and the game play itself is very entertaining. If your looking for an action game then this is not for you, this game is all about the tactics and trying to play to your advantages and playing to your opponents weaknesses. The only annoying thing is the insanely bad luck i get sometimes but then it goes the other way as well. Great game.

I bought the game for the multiplayer and I'm very satisfied. I read a lot of people bad talking about the single player and campaign but who plays this game single player anyway? This seems to be great iteration of the game for newbs like me. I have owned the Blood Bowl Legendary edition for 3 years and have never made it beyond 1 game due to the learning curve, it's just plain confusing to new players. I am hoping Focus manage to patch it to the original glory of the first game without the hang ups of paid DLC. Expand

Well the game is good and deserve to be finished.
No characters customizations, no visible évolution when levelling, where are undeads and other races ?

Действительно хорошая игра, не без недостатков. но учитывая очень скудный выбор игр по вселенной - 10.

A pretty solid game that offers up to 24 teams in the legendary edition which is easily affordable on sales or a lot cheaper from resellers. Has a few bugs and can become visually boring after time, matches can't be saved in single-player and the controls might not be as polished as one could want. Some teams are also somewhat stronger then others which has been improved with later titles.A pretty solid game that offers up to 24 teams in the legendary edition which is easily affordable on sales or a lot cheaper from resellers. As someone who never played Blood Bowl before this, if you like the Warhammer franchise you will love this game. Even if you aren't interested in the multiplayer, the story mode is great and the campaign with a team of your choice is fun too to. However, the story mode does have a glaring issue. The game autosaves after every match and you can't go back to previous save files. This means, if some of your players get seriously injured during one game, you could be basically softlocked as your remaining players are not diverse/powerful enough to beat the next team.

Overall, it seems to me that Blood Bowl 2 is focused on recreating the board game experience to a fault.

It’s a remaster of the predecessor rather than a real sequel. It’s much prettier and more accessible, but also offers less content than the first Blood Bowl and the AI is simply terrible. [12/2015, p.48]

All in all if you are looking for a fun strategy sports themed game with a multiplayer focus, this one might be worth taking a look at.
