Catalyst game went on autopilot for this one. They pushed the same defective code from Blood bowl 1 to this iteration. Instead of fixing actual bug (like starting formation not saving and sound bugs), they made annoying cut scenes. Beyond those glitches, the game is still pretty fun. If you already own BB1, wait for this to be on sale.

The core mechanics of Blood Bowl 2 are still solid. No surprise considering they haven't changed since the board game came out. Updated graphics are nice. Presentation is pretty good, but like any sports game, the commentary is limited to generic comments and gets repetitive fairly quickly. The league play is a nice addition, making online tournaments and friendly leagues simple to organize. The biggest issues I have with the game are that it is missing many of the races from the previous game (which will be coming out as DLC at an unknown price point) and it is missing a lot of the little things that gave the previous iteration flavor. The stands are filled with mostly humans, and the monstrous races don't get their own cheerleaders. I was hoping to see flavor enhancements along with the graphics update, but it actually regressed slightly in that respect. As an updated version of digital Blood Bowl, it is a fine game that is still fun to play, but it is almost certainly overpriced for what little improvement it offers over Chaos Edition. Expand

Kinda hard to follow what's going on the screen compared to BB1, the weird camera angles, the counter-intutive UI. It's certainly prettier than it's roots, and looks more polished, but I find it really hard to navigate and long league matches would benefit from some visual representation of your progress.

Unless interested in Multiplayer do not buy! The AI is terrible and the campaign limited to only Humans.

It also needs more polish. I really advise you wait for the inevitable 'complete' pack (look what they did with Blood Bowl 1).

    Where to start...
This game can be incredibly fun, unfortunately on your opponents expense. Why is this a bad thing? Because eventually you will be on the receiving end of terrible unlucky rolls and you will rage...quite a bit.

Orcs are a pain to play against if your just starting a new team. Black Orcs are OP- End of story.
Dont get me wrong , this game has the whole " one more match" thing going for it but the terrible thing is that the wind can get knocked out of your sails just as quickly.
The games i played had me against some very toxic players. If they lost, they were raging. To some degree it topped League of Legends toxic community. But then again to their defense it happened to me to where it took everything out of me not to shut down my computer, go outside , beat on a tree. If you like taking risks stay away from this game, because it will punish you.

The Races however are fun to play and Developer support has been top notch. Its immensely rewarding to tackle someone else s team members. If you get tired of the slow mo tackle animations you can disable them in the settings menu.

I gave it a 5 due to its immensely frustrating moments, the community that i have met and some doubts about the randomized system.

This game has so many good things, and so many bad things.

The game itself is incredible and a lot of fun if you play again a friend or if you start the game anew with a campaign. I love the commentators, the art-style, the mechanics, all of it. The attention to details designing characters is amazing. That is a solid 9 or 10 for the game. But here it come the bad part. Actually the

But here it come the bad part. Actually the eternal league system is great, is sort of a reduced "Football Manager" or "PC fútbol" game, and I love the manager part of those and I would love to see it expanded more deeply into this BB2 game. The first problem is that the game has no deep in that aspect.

Furthermore about the stated before, the stadium system is just irrelevant. You need to expend 900k of money in upgrading your stadium, and that does nothing. You don't get any more money. You don't get any more fan factor. You don't get any more upgrades, nothing. Why is even there in the first place? Is extremely confusing. The same goes for your patron. All of them are the same, and you don't get any advantage of choosing one over the next. In fact you don't get any advantage at all signing a contract. -_-

The AI completely sucks to play solo in leagues. First off all, it completely cheats on the pre-game. You may have a 1300TV team, and play again a 1200-1400TV AI team, that in the inducement, the AI will spend 1500k in buying legendary players that totally screw up the balance of the match. And the worse part is that it pull that money out of the AI ass from nowhere. Teams that haven't won't a single match suddenly have 10x more money than me that I won the last 20 games?? Frack off cheater bastardian.

More than that, the AI never pass the ball, only try to built a cage, it will guard your prone players even if they are not a threat and forget about the ball carrier. They don't care about what turn it is, they never try a risky move on turn 7 or 8 that will give them a touch down; they ALLWAYS plays defensively even when loosing. The AI never foul, and YOUR fouls almost never ever result in an injury (you get many more injuries by blocking than by kicking a prone player).

So that makes the game pretty lame in my opinion. It has no value for a single player away from the campaign. There are also minor bugs here and there. That would put the game around the 4 score more or less.

In somewhat in the middle of those two extremes, I decided to give the game a 6 out of 10. It has a lot of potential to become one of the greatest turn based game ever made. But badly design choices, poor AI, and other issues, only put this game on the average stack.

Overall, it seems to me that Blood Bowl 2 is focused on recreating the board game experience to a fault.

It’s a remaster of the predecessor rather than a real sequel. It’s much prettier and more accessible, but also offers less content than the first Blood Bowl and the AI is simply terrible. [12/2015, p.48]

All in all if you are looking for a fun strategy sports themed game with a multiplayer focus, this one might be worth taking a look at.
