    Brutal sport with appropriate tactical flavor offers a very good basic gameplay as well as a campaign which make the start of the game simple even to newcomers. The joy of the game, however, is somehow spoiled by the match slow pace and unbalanced races.

    Despite some shortcomings, Blood Bowl 2 will please fans of tactical gameplay and planning on a football field. Lack of proper tutorials makes it hard for newcomers.

    Blood Bowl 2 is a wildly fun game. It keeps the essence of first improving in almost all sections ... except for the inexplicable races reduction.

    Blood Bowl 2 is a faithful recreation of the board game with improved visuals and a cleaner UI than previous installments. The AI is as poor as ever but multiplayer is really where Blood Bowl 2 shines.

    It’s a remaster of the predecessor rather than a real sequel. It’s much prettier and more accessible, but also offers less content than the first Blood Bowl and the AI is simply terrible. [12/2015, p.48]

    Overall, it seems to me that Blood Bowl 2 is focused on recreating the board game experience to a fault.

    Blood Bowl 2 is the flashiest iteration of the game so far, but its dice rolls are frustrating, and its amble ruleset isn't introduced well to newcomers.

    Refunded my purchase. Compared to the first game, this is crap with pretty graphics.

    2. Why are there goal posts in the game which obscure the field of play, when you dont kick goals?
    3. Why don't players change appearance on level up like the first game, to help identify the badass?
    4. Why can't you turn subtitles off? I have commentary subtitles with no commentators
    5. Why are advert flag banners on the sideline rotating into different adverts? so out of place in warhammer
    6. Why are there only human cheerleaders, regardless of race or stadium?
    7. Why is the dice log clipping into the graphic beside it?
    8. Why is the dice log impossible to read without a magnifying glass?
    9. Why do certain races such as high elves feel unfinished with poor animations?
    and so on.

    Instead of focussing on making stupid "madden like football experience", with goal posts and TV cameras etc in the game, maybe the developers should of focussed on making things which SHOULD be in the game.

    I wont complain about all the races not being included, because I can understand how expensive it is to make one race. But they spent their resources on making **** that shouldn't be in the game.

    If they had JUST kept everything Blood Bowl 1 Chaos Edition was and expanded with the nicer graphics and the extra tidbits of customization (stadium, jerseys, etc.), this game would've been pretty great. Instead, they cut out ohhhh, about half of the teams that WERE previously available, they decimated the primary game mode (campaign; it's now HUMANS ONLY), and the "updated" UI is a joke. Not saying BB1 had the best interface, but at least it never claimed that its interface would blow minds left and right the way these jerk developers did.

    This is the ultimate example of "Hey, we own this IP, how can we squeeze the most money out of morons who aren't paying any attention? No no no, don't worry about quality, just put brighter colors, bigger text, and SAY that you made a better version, they'll never notice the difference" (oh PS, they apparently think PC gamers are dumber than they are; hint: we're not). Buy this game ONLY if you hate money or love supporting that guy at your office who does nothing, is capable of doing barely more than nothing, and claims credit for everything, because THAT is the group of people who developed this game.

    BUY BLOOD BOWL CHAOS EDITION. You will be 100x happier, take my word for it (I've played Blood Bowl on tabletop for 15+ years and have completed BB1 campaign mode with every race).    … Full Review »
