    The game is really empty. It lags in closed rooms and you get to listen to the same voice over and over again because the NPCs do not talk and the narrator needs to speak for them.

    Truly an unpleasant game.

    This game surprised me positively. Although it received many negative reviews, I believe it was because of the hype prior to its release. As I started playing without a great expectation, i had a positive experience. Its story is weak, but the open world is beautiful and it has great progression mechanics and exploration.

    Wo wir beim Erzählen sind, die Story ist sau schlecht und wird dazu noch echt gelangweilt erzählt, als wäre das alles nicht schon schlimm genug, sprechen die ganzen Viecher im Game auch nur sog. "Kauderwelsch", das kann man in 25% Schritten verringern und ist auch zu empfehlen, das ist nämlich nicht mehr labern, sondern einfach nur schädlich für die Ohren!

    Erstellt bloß keine Fernkampfklasse, das Anvisieren ist nämlich echt schrott, wobei kann ich das so überhaupt sagen? Anvisieren gibt es ja gar nicht, genau so wenig die festlocken, wollt ihr einen Gegner treffen müsst ihn schon auf ihn zulaufen, bei Nahkampf wäre das noch einigermaßen hinnehmbar, aber bei Fernkampfwaffe nicht zielen zu können ist schon echt dämlich.

    Das Konzept ist ja ganz gut, wirklich eine tolle Idee auf die Umweltverschmutzung hinzuweisen und der Plan der Umsetzung mit einem kleinen Waschbär, der gegen mutierte Tiere in verschiedenen Biomen in einer Open World kämpft, aber halt einfach extrem ♥♥♥♥♥ umgesetzt.

    Das Spiel ist auf einem Entwicklungsstand von 1997 nur mit mehr Bugs, ich werde nie wieder auf eine Empfehlung von GameStar hören, einzig und allein die Beiträge von GameTwo sind ehrlich, wirklich schade, dass ich es ein paar Wochen zu früh vorbestellt hatte.    … Expand

    Feels like a student project with little experience with programming and no experience at all with game design. The open world is just filled with small, repetitive task to complete that gives the player nothing really meaningful to the gameplay, characters are empty vessels with no personality at all, the story simply makes no sense and so on, so on. El juego no va a ser algo que recuerde en mi vida o que rejuegue jamás pero sí reconozco que el juego NO es tan malo como quieren hacerlo, es más tengo juegos peores en mi colección que recibieron mejor nota.     Biomutant has some of the better loot, crafting and character progression systems I've experienced in recent time, if not overall. This is surprising because this level of depth is pretty much AAA level, despite not being an AAA title.

Meanwhile the audio design for this game is abysmal, the cinematics are comically bad, but the graphics is good and the open world design (including the explorations, side quests, collectibles) is fantastic.

    Unfortunately, the developers somehow thought cheaping out on the voice acting and using a narrator for the entire game's storytelling was a good idea. News flash; it's not. In fact, even the writing for the narration wasn't good either. Turning it off in the settings just removes the auditory annoyance, but doesn't fix anything about the presentation of the story at all.

    I can't say I can fully recommend this game, as it has some quirks that mainstream players may not like (especially those that are used to the polish on AAA games). But in a larger sense, it is worth a try if you're buying it for less than half its ridiculous price tag.    … Expand

    Narration sucks? Turn him off in the Audio Settings.
    Combat sucks? Try something other than mashing buttons and you get the depth you want so badly.
    Story sucks? Play the Exploration Part of the Game instead and RP. Havent seen a good story in games for like 10 years, so no expectations were set. I just want to be a radioactive Catrat shooting big dudes in the face. You know... like what an RPG is about.
    World is Empty? This isn't Fallout where you find 20 guns and 50 scrap in a single hut. In most post-apocalyptic games it would come to mind that in a span of a couple hundred years 98% of stuff would've been looted already, right? Well, here we are. Finding the last remnants that were'nt found yet.
    Also the World is full with different Biomes to look at. Quite the Vibe-Game in that regard.
    Graphics suck? Depends on preference. Do you need 16k HyperHD Fur and Grass? For me, No. It's good.
    It's cozy to just walk around and you can easily lose yourself in the world for a couple hours. Vibe.
    Music sucks? Audio. Settings. Exist. Sometimes you need your own tunes to spice things up. I get that. I do it in almost every game now. But musical scores aren't everything. Suite yourself.

    So the heavens have not blessed us with a Gaming-Jesus yet again. So it's not the best game of the Millenium. Real Shocker. I say: So what? It's still a good Game.

    In summary: This game was made by a studio of 20 people. After years of making a game that doesn't need a 30GB Day 1 Patch for once and can present itself like it does it should have some value to ask from it's customers. People expect $120 content from a $60 game. The game economy is horrible as it is. Crunching, underpayment, people buying only under steep discounts, ect. The fact that we don't have to pay $80 for games yet is remarkable. Also Hype is never good for games. Dissapoints people more nowadays, because "It's not what i thought it would be"- Nonsense. Reflects in these mixed scores.

    Support people who did a good job. Buy it and try it. There is always refund if you don't like it. But you're missing out. This game is a gem. And a reminder that some people get filtered by a britishly narrated tutorial.    … Expand

    If I didn't buy it on G2A , I would've gotten a refund. Played for maybe 2 hours, got annoyed with the narrator and quit playing. Nothing but regret. This game is worth $10 at most. There's nothing innovating about it, which would be fine, if it wasn't just so damn boring. I swear I wanna watch the narrator burn a thousand deaths

    I've spent 15 hours in this game. Complete a lot of side quests, beat 2 main bosses, and after i realise that i do the same things what i did 10 hours ago. Beat the same mobs, "explore" the same copypasted areas. I think that there are only 3-5 hours content and after it starts to repeat itself.

    There is actually no story. You know those type of games that called "entertain yourself". But there is not worth reward to explore the world, all loot you find that a junk. But again game is playable, but nothing more.

    Things what i like in this game:
    - Open world with different area types.
    - Graphics.
    - Sound.

    What i don't like:
    - Wooden 2 buttons combat.
    - Copypasted mobs.
    - Annoying aura.
    - Annoying dialoges.
    - Annoying teller commentaries (but yeah after first boss game noticed that you can reduce commentaries activity).

    Biomutant is stunning and the gameplay feels solid after the first patch.
    Disable the narrator, camera shake, QTE and motion blur.

    So, we have a huge world to explore. The main story is deep and have a lot of unexpected turns. Boss fights are pretty good, crafting is great, tribes are cool though etc. Overall it feels like a Horizon Zero Dawn parody.

    The concept of animal character is interesting, but the fact that every armor clips through your character drive me nuts. Sceneries can be quite beautiful, but everything looking closely is quite ugly.

    Gameplay - 6/10
    At the start fighting is quite fun as you unlock more exp and upgrades, but in the long run, it becomes quite repetitive and boring.
    Everything else is just ok, nothing to really complain about, but also, nothing to write home about.

    Story - 5/10
    The story is disappointing, it is more a set of fetch quests than something truly meaningful. I absolutely love the message about environment preservation, but just like everything about this game, it tries so hard to sound profound and meaningful but it is actually delivered in the most shallow of ways.    … Expand

    I love RPGs in the open world. But "Biomutant" didn't catch on at all.
    I didn't like almost everything. The game starts with an awkward character editor. Then the banal and boring plot plot. And annoying characters.
    The combat system is confusing and dull.
    Add to that outdated graphics and an empty world.
    But the main thing is the voice-over, which starts to annoy after 15 minutes.

    Fun and easy gameplay, interesting world to interact with. The dialog gets a bit tiresome, they should figure out a patch to encapsulate the entire cut scene in a paragraph and get you back to exploring and fighting... like you hit A and it breezes through and leaves you with a synopsis of the results.

    A janky but enjoyable experience. The first few hours are a bit linear, but then the game opens up. The biggest strength of this game IMO is the builds and gear customization. There is always a new skill to acquire, and loads of armor and weapons (that have multiple customization slots).

    I'm about 10 hours in, with 60% of the map explored. My build is a psi-freak, who spams ice    A janky but enjoyable experience. The first few hours are a bit linear, but then the game opens up. The biggest strength of this game IMO is the builds and gear customization. There is always a new skill to acquire, and loads of armor and weapons (that have multiple customization slots).

    I'm about 10 hours in, with 60% of the map explored. My build is a psi-freak, who spams ice explosion and heat seeking radioactive lasers. When my energy is on cooldown for a few seconds, I whip out my minigun-pistol, which has a gears of war style reload skill for instant reloading and bonus damage.

    You get multiple mounts, including a jet-ski and mech suit with lots of cosmetic and a few performance upgrades to find. I'm contently being surprised by new and interesting skills/gear/equipment that I find.

    I found there was a bit too much talking at the start, but the option to reduce the narrator frequency, and easily skip dialogue made that a non-issue.    … Expand

Раздражает в диалогах что нужно несколько секунд ждать прежде чем тебе переведут слова персонажа, все диалоги скучные и не интересные. Еще бесит что с игроком обращаются как с ребёнком. Есть крафт вещей он чем то интересен а чем то полная фигня.     Decent game! Although it has some issues just like combat is not feeling right and the open story starts a bit slow with boring conversations; the musics and the main mechanics of the game have actually put me through that haunting world.

    Old looking design, only shadders save the thing. Over saturated colors, boring gameplay and narrative i feel like play end PS3 era game !

    Potential is here for the universe itself of the game but need lot of work to made it like good recent game value

Yes.. is it way too easy to accidentally sell your currently worn items to merchants so you kind of just ignore that aspect of the game? Yes. but they tried really hard to give you a content packed rpg, from weapon parts, to armour parts to find across this world.. tons and tons.. and tons and tons.. and tons and tons.. and tons and tons of dialog… however.. none of it comes together in an enjoyable way.
    Biomutant is a great idea, choose a tribe, interact with the other tribes and either switch sides or try to bring them all together… theres even a balance of lightness and darkness depending on your actions.. but this affects nothing but the ending of the game and the abilitites youre able to unlock for combat..
    Combat here is alright. .you have ranged weapons as well as the possibility to make really great close ranged melee weapons.. you can really go out into this world and craft some really great stuff as you set out to take down the 4 adorable world eaters… which are this games main bosses…
    But the problem with biomutant is everything in between the good parts and theres way too much of it…
    its like eating a sandwhich with a meter thick dry bread.. I would wager that nearly half of my 9 and a half hours was spent sitting through this games excruciating dialog… Biomutant never wants to shut up and just let you play its game.. anytime you get anywhere heres 10 minutes of hearing blabber while your brittish grasshopper translates for you… and its all always the same thing blah blah tree of life blah blah lightness darkness blah blah revenge forgive its all so unnecessary, boring, ad just pads out the game in such a bad way.. there is never any interesting dialog here.. theres no interesting story moments or cutscenes.. it all feels like a giant waste of my time.. I just want to get back into the world and take down the world eaters… along the way youll be doing other tasks to get to the world eaters.. these tasks are all basically the same, go to this building, do some switch flipping puzzles, and catch these creatures then go take down the world eater.. all while youll run into other mamals.. taking them on with your mutant abilities that you get to choose and of course your weapons you’ve been building up.. and while actually putting in the effort to craft the best items is enjoyable.. and collecting the items and materials for the best build possible.. the actual combat here is just not satisfying.. enemies are way too spongy.. so after sitting through mountains of dialog that thankfully are skippable.. you barley get to have any fun out in its world…
    Biomutant was decently enjoyable.. but overall I was pretty let down by this boring slog of a world.
    At least it has a great message.. stop polluting.

    The negative aspect of the game, in my opinion (so far, since I have just 25ish hours clocked in) is the lack of a variety in music (the OST is great, but it gives the impression that no matter where you go or what you do, it's always the main theme that's playing). Also, the story (then again, I haven't finished the game yet, keep that in mind) is apparently not very deep. So far, it's a shallow "post-apocalyptic world where the main character is the chosen one, and the events were caused by industries greed and oil spilled at the oceans", I sincirely hope it gets better.

    It's also important to notice that Biomutant had an update recently, so several points made in the early reviews are no longer valid.

    Concerning the bad reviews: I truly doubt 80% of the people who wrote one have actually played the game for more than 10 hours, because the majority of the aspects pointed out just doesn't make any sense if you played the game. Another aspect of it is people are taking things for granted nowadays. The fact that Biomutant was developed with a small team (20ish people), with a very small budget is awesome alone.

    Biomutant is not the best video-game of all time, and it clearly doesn't try to be. Still, a great game which brings a lot to the table, daring to run away of a lot of repetitive aspects very (re)used in the industry currently.

    If you like to waste time playing open-world videogames, this is the right for you. Others - stay away!

Definitely not a Cyberpunk 2077 broken upon release... which stands on a positive status to this day. There are many that gave the game a negative NO because steam does not have a neutral score, but otherwise have enjoyed quiet a few aspects of the game.     Llevo ya mas de 40 horas y lo estoy disfrutando bastante, al juego le veo alguno errores como el narrador no xk sea lento ya, es que no muestra mucho entusiasmo la verdad aun asi se puede quitar, poner en otro idioma.     Las peleas no son tan malas como dicen, tienen algún fallo como la selección del enemigo pero están bastante conseguidas las misiones no son nada del otro mundo pero en un Assassins tampoco y la ambición es muy buena.

    After the intro the game expands, and you are free to do what you want. I have speeding allot of time just rooming around, exploring, and tinkering with gear, possible the best part of the game. The melee    I'm having a great time playing this game, and will not be done in a long time.

It's a very interesting concept, definitely adds to replayability.

    Now for the cons of the game. First I'm going to talk about storytelling. The storytelling is definitely horrible. NPCs feel one dimensional and don't really have any personalities. I hate how the narrator has to translate everything NPCs say because NPCs say literal gibberish. Listening to the narrator with the exact same voice telling you what every NPC says all the time definitely is very boring. It's also a shame the protagonist has no voice of its own, but then again, it's also a shame no NPCs have any voice acting at all.

    Then there are these scenarios where we have to choose between "Dark" (evil) and "Light" (good) decisions. These scenarios are incredibly shallow. You're given the option to help a guy, and if you don't pick that option, you uppercut him for no reason. Pick a small animal, kill it to get "Dark" aura or pet and keep it to get "Light" aura. These things barely affect the story, except NPCs will know whether you're good or evil. That's it.

    Next is combat. Melee combat is weird and lacking weight, like when you hit an enemy, it doesn't feel like you hit it. As an action RPG game, it also desperately needs a target-lock-on function. The game could use more melee moves (called Wung Fu) and Mutations. As of now, the number of each of those abilities can be counted using fingers. There also needs to be balancing for "Dark" build and "Light" build. As of now, there are 3 skills for "Light" build and only 2 for "Dark" build. I'm hoping they will add more in the future, hopefully before I'm bored with the game.

    Next, side quests. Side quests are very NOT rewarding. I finished a side quest, expecting something to happen, maybe a new dialogue, but nope, that was it, just a message that said quest was complete. There are also way too many of them, yet each barely had any story. If you're playing the game, I suggest you skip the unimportant side quests and go for the main quests as soon as you're strong enough, before you get bored.

    As for bugs, the game surprisingly has so few bugs. The only bug I've ever encountered is enemies' healths return to full after I made them fight each other using a certain Mutation ability. Other than that, everything is smooth. That's really good on them.    … Expand

    +Side quests are everywhere which helps lead you to enemies if you are lost.

    +Loot is amazing every thing has a purpose even if at first you don't know what its for.
    +Crafting is humorous and fun at least i liked it
    +Ranged is a lot easier than melee
    +Gear is really strange and quite funny.
    +After the early tutorial the world opens up immensely.

    -The narrator is annoying to many (not me) but he can be disabled.
    -Enemies can be brutal for melee classes even on easy mode
    -Dodge and block combat tells are really hard to see mid fight which make melee very hard to play.
    -No motion Blur removal can make customers sick ((me included) is it being added)

    For myself on an older PC the game has run very smooth and sweet and my Cpu is below recommended Core i5 3470 but still runs this fine, my Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb has had no hitches or stutter and zero crashes so far on 460.97 drivers. I even run the game on a standard Harddrive WD 1tb blue.

    I would have loved a fog removal option to make the game less intensive on pc's.

    So if you are looking for a Samurai styled cutesy version of Fallout 4 pretty much down to the wire go no further than Biomutant, and for me i've had zero issues the negative reviewers have said.

    One last thing i'd like to thank 101 for this game, its been a few years since i've enjoyed an open world sandbox game this much thanks. Great game all round.    … Expand

Unfortunately, the narrator is by far the most obnoxious thing in the world. The pacing of dialogue is atrocious with most characters grunting for way too long before the narrator begins his dialogue and trying to skip the grunting often results in accidentally skipping the narration, that is the important part. Aside from that, the narrator just becomes a nuisance. You can turn him off, but after a point, I just cringed when I heard him talking again.

    Combat is exciting and offers some variety, but is by no means that rewarding. Sure you can do flashy combos and cool moves, but by and large the reward for doing so is not worth it. You will take a ton of damage to do nothing other than look flashy. On hard mode, enemies are just bullet sponges, so I ended up just optimizing for damage because slapping enemies with the wet noodle of a melee weapon you have often results in the most risk or some stun-lock insta-death. This made combat a grind. Perhaps it will be fixed, but the problems are glaringly obvious.

    Exploration is the most redeeming part of this game. Going from environment to environment was enjoyable with each new place offering something of value. Unfortunately, the lack of valuable rewards (especially at higher levels) and the repetitious enemy spawns turn this into an uninteresting grind yet again.

    Before long, the game had hardly any merit left and I found myself abandoning it all together after around 30+ hours of game time and after completing most the story and many side quests. Perhaps I'll pick it up at a later time, but other games simply do what this game attempts to do, but better.    … Expand

    Biomutant is a charming and beautifully stylized game that harkens back to an earlier style of RPG. It is full of character and rewards exploration of the beautiful world THQNordic crafted. The combat is fluid and fun, the crafting is highly customizable, the soundtrack is tranquil and beautiful, and the character design is unique and stylized well.

The story isn’t anything ground breaking, and starts out as what could be considered a revenge plot against a throwaway antagonist quickly opens up into a save the world from impending doom situation against 4 giant bosses. Each boss is well done and unique in its own rights, and that comes onto the world your thrown into it’s a large open world map with plenty to see and plenty to loot! Crafting is addictive and amazing simply put the best crafting system you can see. The combat is simple yet with plenty to craft and mess about with you can stop it getting dull.     Fantastic game full of heart and creativity. Having an absolute blast! It is flawed but if I score it based on how much I am enjoying my time with it, it's unquestionably a 10.

    I enjoyed the combat and the variety of weapons. Something I liked are the combos are the same key combination regardless of weapon. The animations are different, but the buttons are the same. Makes it easy to swap weapons and try different things.
    The game can be a bit easy, on normal (Medium) so I play on hard. It's harder-ish and felt it a better challenge but it's not Dark Souls or even Remnant.
    At the time of writing this I had 85 hours. Take that for what you will. I think at 85 hours for 65 bucks was worth the price of admission (also I'm still playing so.. )    … Expand

    I advice on starting game on Hard. Especially if you have alot of experiance with Souls series like games. Also after you unlock some stuff thru main quest, ignore it. Go play all the side stuff first.

    I've been playing the hell out of this game. I had 7.5 hours on the first day. It feels like a fun mix of Skyrim and Skylanders. The narrator and gameplay are fun. The story is good but leaves room for improvement. Goop is the best game character of the decade. The combat is amazing in the game. I really enjoy it.

    I like the game. I expected something goofy and lite and that's what I got. The combat is a bit on the clunky side but the world looks nice and feels like a post-apocalyptical whimsical wasteland. I thought I wouldn't like it and it certainly has it's issues, some quests are bugged, the narrator can be annoying but there is still a lot to like about the game. We'll see how the patch goes.

The narrator speaks to you about everything and even speaks for the characters so there is no emotional connection or depth to the characters.     Biomutant has goods an bads. The story is ok with some sens of mystery, but it's told with a single narrator for everything. And it doesn't take long before he become extremely annoying. The combat is a good thing. Very easy to pickup for the guns, a bit floating with melee. One boss require to use the boat thing with a grapple, and that didn't work well at all.     Sadly the game still has bugs. One of them stopped the main quest and was infuriating (Mekton not working). I expected glitches around the side quests (which I had), but not on main quest. The game tries to be an AAA game. It's close but you can feel it was release too soon and the budget was lacking for voices overs. I give it 62%. Maybe the game will be more stable after more patches but for now it's hard to go deep into the game without becoming frustrated with bugs and some wacky gameplay.    … Expand

    People need to play the game 2+ hours before giving it a **** score . This is an RPG open world game, you can´t do a review in 2 hours. Biomutant is a wonderful videogame with beautiful landscapes and amazing and deep combat. Peple complaining about combat just because they only do button smashing. Props to THQ Nordic for making such a good game with such a limited crew and budget.

    Extremely fun and rich world! The crafting is god tier, the amount of weapons I can make with trash just laying around is outstanding. 50 hours in and I'm still waking up thinking about playing again.

    It's not AAA and I don't understand why people ever thought it was.
    The gameplay released was very honest on what the game would be.
    The character creation is interesting and I like the fact that your character's body changes based on stats so if you want high intelligence you are gonna to have a big head. I thought was a brilliant idea vs all these RPG games that subsequently need YouTubers to tell you how to make an attractive character. Maybe because I'm an old gamer my expectations are not unrealistic. People review bombs for very petty reasons like a delayed release date or frame rate. These kids need to play some pong and Galaga and change their nappys.

    Great game! Fun to play, combat is great, and the combos you can execute keep it fresh. Crafting is insanely in depth, and the mutation + morality system to unlock different psi powers is fun and engaging. Love digging through an old destroyed & abandoned city for loot, weapons, and armor.

    This game is sold like a AAA, but have houge audio problem, very basic gameplay end world building, a lot of problem of balance and functionality. I think a lot of similar game that make this job a lot better then biomutant. If you want an openworld colorfull and funny jus play fenix rising ( i hate ubisoft )

    -Game gets repetitive. Like farcry go there liberate fight 4 small guys and one big guy. same with exploration go to house, search get useless loot, move on, search that gas station,loot, move on repeat ad infititum.

    -same with bosses. find quest giver to fix a tank mech etc, he will send you to gather something, then ammo, then fight boss x4

    -flying mount doesnt fly, you cant summon your mounts anywhere you like, same with the sea mount, you need to find an engine to move freely otherwise its useless.

    -getting drowned in 3 inches of water. So if your target is 15 feet away you have to take the round route to get there

    -too much blah blah, ecology is nice and all but it doesnt help the story in this game, i didnt care for any character or anything else that is going on

    - loot, it has so much loot that i felt like i raided kharazsan-naxxramas-molten core-gruls lair times 50. And its crap, you will literally get bored scraping loot to upgrade one or two weapons.

    - character creation. I dont know about others but i spend all my points in luck. Enemies melt by them crits. other than that i didnt botherr with either kung fu or anything else. Its the most boring lv up system. Even perks are numbered and not worthy besides a couple

    Here is the thing. Its nice to have a big game to play for hours since you paid 60 euros. Its not nice for the game to be big doing the same stuff over and over and over. Put interesting quests, every quest should feel like a unique adventure. Not go here open fire, go there open fire, come back and listen to blah blah blah blah every single time.

    I suggest watching some yt videos for 2-3 hours and decide if you want to spend your money on this or buy something else.    … Expand

    Il gioco ha veramente un sacco di cuore, chi ci ha lavorato si vede che dentro ci ha messo l'anima e sono contento di averlo comprato, giusto premiare questi ragazzoni. Probabilmente uno dei miei guilty pleasure in versione videoludica insieme a Deadly Premonition 1 e 2, giochi meh ma che se ti ci butti a capofitto regalano un sacco di gioie. Have a nice day.

    One of the best rpg games I’ve played, reminds me of Zelda but much better! So beautiful and so much to do! Really fun! Over 30 hours in and game only been out for 2 days!

    The open-world aspect of Biomutant did more harm than good, with the gargantuan, post-apocalyptic realm this heroic, mutated rodent will explore being mostly an empty one, and with the rest of the experience being repetitive and unpolished. More of a disappointment rather than a bad game, try it out only if willing to spend around many fun, but not that fun hours.

    Biomutant is like layers and layers of great ideas drawn on an imperfect mindmap. A great cornerstone to build upon, but still lacking in remaining coherent. Still - great fun in short amounts.
