    Ok, so this is my 2nd review on metacritic. I played every battlefield game except vietnam, bad company 1 and hardline. I played a lot of Battlefield 2 and BF2142 and while BF3 and BF4 were lacking much of the tactical depth of previous titles (imo), overall they were (very) good games (BF3 especially). Battlefield 1 was worse in my opinion but still fun (in different way).I wanted toOk, so this is my 2nd review on metacritic. Battlefield 1 was worse in my opinion but still fun (in different way).I wanted to check if the only cause for bad score of BF5 is pathetic marketing ("don't buy this game") and sjw as there were some good reviews too.

    In short - sjw is the smallest problem here. This game is bad - really. Lack of balance, ttk is a joke, lack of "battlefield moments", maps are **** (it is important to notice that low ttk + **** maps = **** experience), classes are so boring. This game is boring. At some point I thought that BF1 is boring, but BF5 is whole new level that I couldn't imagine before- It is really sad.

    Do not buy this game - really you will waste your money

    I hoped that some day EA would release battlefield 2143, but as there is a high chance of failure I am not sure if that is what I still want.    … Expand

    And honestly I don't think it will ever be as good as or come even close what bf3 or bf4 were. Those games that had a better core, and they were designed around multiplayer, and had considerable amount of content and customization from the start. This game on the other-hand is centered around customizing you character with in-game currency, and I honestly think this is the biggest reason we have visibility issues.    … Expand

    Fun multiplayer gameplay with friends. Lack of maps is a bit disappointing. Decent progression, and cool smoke mechanics.

    Don't buy this game. The only play experience you'll get is a half baked campaign with no real story line and a multiplayer that has terrible game modes that are entirely one sided. If you like only types of games you will like it. You either get really lucky and dominate the other team or more often than not you'll get placed on the team that has no skill and will get spawn bombed/campedDon't buy this game.     The game is devoid of content and starving for more big maps. Suppression effect is gone which negates the whole machine gunner/support class except for being a moving bullet dispenser.

    The only positives are 3D-spotting is kept to a minimum, graphics and sound are great and fortifications are awesome.

    Plays like 15 years old game, even by 2018 standards. Technical issues even in 2021, with all updates - even cutscenes flicker and lag. Just some few very short episodes of single player campaign. In short - not worth your money.

    BFV was rushed to launch, and still did not contain enough content at release even after a delay. I am confused at what the "Critics" were playing for it to have a favorable score. Shooting mechanics are polished and rewarding. Visually, the game is good. Far Cry 5 is better looking and runs a whole lot better    Below average. Got it included with my purchase of an RTX 2070.

    A proper single-player campaign is extremely important to me. Battlefield has never had a genuinely amazing one. The stupid war stories of BF1 and BFV are dreadful stealth missions that follow a pattern for each segment. It's repetitive and half-assed. I found 2D sprites for trees on one level, and I assume those kinds of cheap shortcuts were used in all the levels. The singleplayer is pointless, but it shouldn't be! They could have made it robust and unique. The cinematic capabilities of their engine are obvious, but wasted here. It's all about pushing that yearly title and getting those pre-orders. EA, you suck real bad.

    The multiplayer is still at 64-players. Squad is at 80 players, and may be pushing to 100-player servers. The maps feel empty a lot of the time to me. Just a big cat and mouse mess. They did put in some game-modes that establish a front line. That is essential to promote objective-based teamplay. Good job there. I had fun in the Grand Operations! The good news is there are no DLCs. The bad news is by the time they release enough content to have a full game, it'll be time for the next release and everyone will abandon BFV!

    We have to get out of this yearly release schedule. The fans will be excited to play a game as good as BF3 for a few years while DICE develops a complete product for 3 years or so.

    Historically makes no sense and ignores all the big, well-known battles. They made up "lesser-known" stories to try and be unique. Just give us D-Day in Normandy, Battle of the Bulge, Siege of Stalingrad, and even the Pacific theater with the crisp modern visuals and audio.    … Expand

    It's alright, if you liked BF1 you'll probably like this one. The mechanics are similar and the addition of buildable defenses is pretty neat. There's enough changed to warrant buying it on sale for $30 if you're a fan. It's definitely more cinematic feeling and very chaotic. It's very similar to the last title, really don't like that both teams get a lot of the same guns too. Feels lazy.It's alright, if you liked BF1 you'll probably like this one.     It seems to have a lot of hackers too, every other game has one or two people racking up insane scores no legit person could possibly obtain. This issue seems far more prevalent than in BF1. I just got done playing a game with someone ranked 2, pretty much brand new, with 40-3 as their KDR. I don't care how much of a veteran you are in BF, I've bought almost every one of them since 1942, that's not possible as a new player.

    Overall I'd say it is worth getting on sale if you are a longtime fan, the whole "I hate women being in games thing" is stupid as well. It has the stench of an incel more than anything, if you want to complain about historical accuracy ask why all the allies are running around with MP40s and other German weapons    … Expand

    Very bad stuttering on my 3900x and 1080ti with 64gb ram running at 3066mhz. Ridiculous that it's running at 75fps and yet there is stuttering and freezing during the game for no reason.

    Single story mode is woke garbage, replacing the men who did these heroic things with women and diversity rather than let me play and learn actual history.

Se ha perdido el gusto de poder coger en cualquier momento un vehiculo, o intentar hacer una incursion en solitario o en pequeño grupo para recuperar una base... ahora solo se puede pasar por un cuello de botella en el que perder una vida tras otra.
    No recomiendo este juego en el momento actual a nade, por el simple motivo de que es un juego aburrido y frustrante.

I say this for two    I pre-ordered the deluxe version of this game. I've played and loved every single BF game in the series. This is hands down the WORST gaming experience I've had out of DICE.

    If you're thinking of getting it, imagine playing Battlefront 2 mixed with Call Of Duty. I say this for two reasons: 1. The guns are all laser accurate (which is fine) but they also have little to no recoil so expect unbelievably fast rate of play and 2. You're a ninja in this installment of BF and you can slide and ninja and parkour all around so expect even more extremely fast paced gameplay. Not only that, but the low plane ceiling and maps with sometimes 8 planes flying around expect basically constant bombing everywhere not in a WW2 air raid way, I mean in a randomized Nuke kinda way. It just makes no sense and it's not how any battles were fought.

    This is compounded by DICE's pretentious marketing about the game calling it authentic and immersive when really it's just a Transformers movie in clothing from the 40s.

    If you're looking for a game that is true to the WW2 era, has rewarding gun play, has any form of valuable combat tactics, has good plane combat or support, does not have COD-like combat, does justice to the BF franchise, DO NOT GET THIS GAME.

    I'm really do feel betrayed by DICE and will never be a true supporter of their company again. Feels like a breakup but it's gotta be done :(    … Expand

    puntos negativos 1.- su musica triste, fffffff, yo entro a BF a pelear no a sentirme triste, fue lo primero que desactive 2.-su menu de navegación tedioso, creo que paso mas tiempo en el menu que en partida 3.-su personalización, habra gente que le guste pero a mi me caga tener que personalizar todo! yo solo quiero un traje y que las    ni de cercas esta a los anteriores battlefield,

    4.-Morir, media partida o prácticamente toda la partida puedes estar tirado pidiendo ayuda porque a un genio de DICE se le ocurrió copiar a Fornait o PUBG con los tiempos de espera para ser revivido, esto es lo que mas me molesta de todo el juego.
    5.- los vehículos horribles con un daño ridículamente pobre, movimiento súper lento!. se pierde acción por esos motivos. de hecho es una de las cosas que mas me gustaba de BF los vehículos :( que tristeza me dan los vehículos
    6.-no puedes cambiar de clase en medio de la partida, a que estúpido se le paso quitar esa opción, si mi equipo necesita un medico la solución del juego es sal de la partida y vuelve a entrar, POR DIOS!
    7.- mapas que después de jugar 3 veces te aburren por el hecho de que tienes a gente tumbada por todos lados campeando y la visibilidad del juego horrible no te permite ver a los enemigos
    8.-los gritos de las mujeres después de 10 minutos son en mi punto de vista agobiantes, me cansan

    Battlefield V is just another copy&paste game after Battlefield 3 by EA without anything new or special interesting features.
    The last good game as i remember was Battlefield 3 and the other previous ones like Battlefield 2 and 1942.

    cheaters since alpha (no joke, go search "cheat for battlefield v" and even on youtube there will be a video since day 1 (why ? because dice was lazy as **** and they literal copy pasted everytyhing from battlefield 1, meaning bf1 cheat work as fine or better on this game)

    performance that you would compare to crysis when it firstly launched even to the graphical changes on the game from battlefield 1 to battlefield v are minimal or not even noticeable.

    getting half bake maps or maps that only work on 1 or 2 game modes.

    badly balanced gun play across the board.
    for example: they introduced a good game play feature on bf1 were if you spam sidestep you would get a speed penalty making the sniping game play feel not frustrating (on a game that was filled to the brim with self loading rifles), but bfv came around and threw that to the garbage bin and made even more annoying self loading rifles, designated rifles, carbine snipers for medics, mmgs anti material rifles.
    basically ****ing the sniper game play (not counting that literally ever class has a faster bullet speed than every sniper rifle.

    the planes are still wanky and don't work or sometimes even don die after taking 1 shell/ 2 rockets on the chassis.

    i tried to "like" this game, since the closed alpha (i pre ordered this piece of **** even brought the ****ing deluxe edition. 120 dollars for literally 2 ugly unmotivated ****y gun skin parts.

    1 year and 1 month.
    still the same garbage.

    and they had the balls to add paid cosmetics to this mess of a game anyways, like "i don't give a **** about this game, it is just a cash grab"

    man, i feel bad about the amount off **** that hard line had. at least that game was someway playable and enjoyable, it wasn't "battlefieldish" per say but it was a entertaining game non the less

    if you are planning on buying this and being like : "every battlefield was bad in launch"

    at least those games had actual good amount of guns, maps, gadgets, vehicles, customization.

    Battlefield 1 was a masterpiece. You could feel the spirit of a war. Great destruction and great choose of weapons/vehicles.

    But Battlefield V is.... just really really bad. It doesn't feel like war, it doesn't feel like Battlefield. I thought that after WW1 we will receive a historical masterpiece based on previous BF, but we did not.

    Historical background made me sad.

    The worst performance you can see on a PC game besides division 2. Bottlenecking your CPU even though you meet the recommended settings and beyond. It has been a year and the game feels like a Beta, slugish and with a terrible balistic ,mechanics. Don't buy it

    Trash game. There are too many players who cheat. There are fps optimization issues. They said we were going to put an animation on it, and they made a terrible play.

    It’s far from being ideal but all the glitches and shortcomings don’t ruin the overall fun of Battlefield V’s multiplayer experience. Although the single player portion of the game is not bad at all, I would have been disappointed if I bought the game just for it. [13/2018, p.56]

    In Battlefield V we got back to WW2, but with refined gunplay and death system which works great. There are also little problems such as low number of maps and stability issues, that are taking the fun away, but nothing that can't be fixed.

    A great World War II shooter that will grow and improve. Do not buy the game because of its singleplayer, but if you consider the campaign a bonus to the multiplayer, you will be satisfied. [Issue#291]
