What can i say. i was booted from a single player game because my internet connection went down. are you having a laugh EA. SINGLE player. even if you are collecting data and metrics don't boot me because my connection went down. I wonder if they realise that the internet does not equal test LAN servers they operate in there dev studio.

Going from BF3 in its fixed state to BF4 has been a nightmare. I went from averaging 4.3 KDR to a mere 1.6.

I record all my matches and realized that the problem was due to the game. The game has HORRID hit detection and netcode is at its worst. I empty full mags on enemies with their backs facing me and there are many hit marks on the crosshair. Yet they take 0 damage, turn around and instant kills me quite often.

I wouldn't have a problem if BF3 was still alive and kicking. However, only 2 servers that ever show up on Battlelog for BF3 and it really **** everything up.

I instead tried out some other FPS's like CS:GO and even TF2 and realized how much more fluid and crisp the gameplay was. None of this uncertainty of netcode and hit registration.

This literally **** up the battlefield franchise for me because there is no good battlefield to play atm with people playing in them.

Then, when the game works, players are dealing with bewildering hit box issues, lag and lag compensation absurdity where players suddenly rubberband and sling about the map, and crippling balance issues all culminated to make this game unplayable from day one and still hound the game to this day.

Absolutely embarrassing release for DICE and EA.

Dear God, how **** awful nowadays multiplayer FPS are.
My last true multiplayer FPS experience was with UT2k4. After that, seeing how awful Call of Duty was, I gave up on online gameplay. This Christmas however, I saw Battlefield 4 on sale, the title everyone I asked about masturbates on, and decided to give it a try.

Jesus **** Christ. I cannot even comprehend how **** awful multiplayer in this game is. I could write dozens of pages of how **** bad this game is and why, but truth to be told, it all boils down to absolutely **** **** this game's gameplay is. This is the right word: the ****. Remember BF1942? Well, it's everything upside down in here. People spawning everywhere, falling on cap zones, atrociously bad hitboxes and what retards love the most: a **** of irrelevant crap on the screen, medals, badges, unlockables! Play 1000 hours to unlock that awesome skin or a dogtag! If the gameplay is about RNG killing/getting killed at the moment of spawning, delude yourself with that another tasty Super Seargant of Cool badge! Run around doing nothing and get 10000 points! Try to play with others - get stomped by a camper that spawned behind your zones in tasteless, designless levels!

I feel dirty after playing it for few days. Unfortunately it's too late to get a refund.

But, holy **** how bad this game is. Guess it's time to get back with LAN Quake 3 parties.

The new water system, dynamic maps, commander mode, and the improved effects are nice in Battlefield 4, but EA needs to slow down with the DLC. a high-end title should get no more than 3 DLC's, and DLC should be for an efficient price, and have actual content to offer. There are still many bugs in the game, even after the beta.

Another great example, that EA is a money-grubbing company. Overall, it seems to be an unfinished game which was released early in order to compete with Activision's Call of Duty: Ghosts.
They even made the release cycle shorter, since the next installment will be released in autumn 2014 and not two years later as it was with Battlefield 3 and Bad Company 2.

Don't buy it yet. Game issues won't be sorted till at-least January. Its an absolute mess right now.
Bullet hitreg is more miss than hit, the game is poorly optimized for all but the most powerful graphics cards.
It crashes all the time and will frustrate you with its many bugs and lack of polish. Stay away until a good few months of patches have been applied!

This is a good game, but i have a 50% quit rate because of the awesome bugs that kick you from servers. If this many people are having problems then don't release the game. Make sure it works first. My guess is that EA wants to win the worst company in the US for the third year in a row though, so they are just making sure that we vote for them.

An unstable bug filled mess. No time was spent for Q/A and the product was released unfinished. I have yet to finish a match without the game or, worse, server crashing. When the server crashes you lose ALL progress. Highly advise to stay away for at least several months when they finally patch this game.

For players looking for Rush gameplay, this BF4 is a sore disappointment.but if EA give us battlefield 2 and 3 with i will buy itseeming more like the Armored Kill and End Game maps. There are no maps like Grand Bazar, Seine or Aftermath.

There are serious problems with the spawn on the defensive team of a few maps, resulting in many instant kills after spawn.

I was so excited when BF 4 's lunch trailer came out. And I thought I must pre-order this game.
And it finally came out,I was angry that game has so many errors. graphic of this game cool but,
It is only good thing of this game.

Single play was so boring...and Multiplay was more bad than singleplay.

BF 3 is better than is game...

The graphics is much better than Battlefield 3, and finally the maps aren't just 50 shades of blue. Sound is still in a class of it's own. DICE has reintroduced Commander mode, squad leaders aren't a joke, and a commo rose that works. Changes to the server listing in Battelog means it's quite feasible to run settings close to classic Battlefield without having issues with filling it up.

So on paper, there's a lot to look forward to. But both single player and multiplayer are almost completely ruined by a few but very important core issues. Note I do not mention co-op because Battlefield 4 has no co-op, a surprising and sad move in my opinion.

In the case of the single player it's the story. Sure it's a corridor shooter, but even those can be interesting if the story is good, for example like Spec Ops: The Line or Medal of Honor (2010). While the story in Battlefield 4 isn't as bad as in Battlefield 3, it is not a whole lot better. It contains a handful of bland characters doing things that make no sense, with tons of boring cut scenes and highly predictable plot devices. By trying to make the story as "epic" as possible DICE has completely lost sight of what makes a good and engaging story. In the end the single player is a boring interactive movie which you grudgingly grind through just to unlock a few weapons for the multiplayer.

Now, singleplayer is one thing, but what keeps people player Battlefield has always been it's multiplayer. With gorgeous visuals, rich and engaging sound scape it's hard not to be impressed, even after playing Battlefield 3. However there are a couple of things which are essential to a good multiplayer shooter, and as Team Fortress 2 shows, it's not super-realistic graphics.

The basics are gun play and netcode. Sadly Battlefield 4 fails miserably in both categories. First, the direction the bullets travel and the direction the barrel is pointing are just vaguely correlated in Battlefield 4. Players who are good at controlling the recoil and keeping the aim on target will be punished. Snipers who are quick to react and get the crosshairs back on target will miss. This creates a serious disconnect with the weapons. Add the toned-back-but-still-present suppression effect and you often find yourself thinking you're shooting blanks.

Worse is the netcode. DICE has finally come out and said that improving the netcode is a high priority for them. However the issues that plagues Battlefield 4 has consistently plagued Frostbite games since Bad Company 2. They've had 4 PC shooters using the Frostbite engine with the exact same issues. In my view the most frustrating issues are client-side hit detection and broken chronology, meaning you get hit and die from someone you haven't seen shooting yet, who is pointing a completely different direction or is behind a wall. They are somewhat intertwined, but Bad Company 2 had chronology issues yet with server-side hit detection.

The netcode issues affects vehicles as well. Lock-on warnings which sound immediately before the rocket hits, etc.

With the absolutely fundamental issues more or less completely broken, it's a real struggle to have any fun playing multiplayer. If you just want to sit on a hill, have a few beers and take potshots at the enemy running around some flag then it's not half bad. But it is very far away from being a serious shooter.

Which is sad in a way, as one easily senses there's a lot one could like about Battlefield 4 had it not had vinegar all over it.

Probably the worst battlefield I've ever bought. Videos shown while loading levels in SP stutter to the point of unviewable. In MP, gameplay mechanics are unresponsive, laggy, and unbalanced, even 8 months after release, BF3 plays a lot better than BF4. I'm going back to playing BF3, arguably the last good recent BF.

Even if multiplayer wasn't buggy, Battlefield 4 would still only be a barely passable installment in all respects besides the snazzy graphics. EA and DICE played it safe by providing the same thing they did the last time around, with another phoned-in campaign and only minor alterations to the online.

Battlefield 4 keeps soldiering on in the same footsteps as previous games in the series. The lack of worthwhile news makes you wish for more. Dice stays in its comfort zone calls for explosions and not much more. The series needs to evolve or fade out.
