I don't know how this game was before. I love Batman Arkham Series and I have all titles. I wanted to pre-order this but gladly I didn't. Now I got this from summer sale when discount hit -50% and I'm pleased of it. The graphics looks amazing so the requirements are ok for this kind of graphics if you put in balance. Maybe is not fixed at all but is at least playable. When I first boughtI don't know how this game was before. I love Batman Arkham Series and I have all titles. The game itself is a fan service to every batman fan out there. There are tons of gadgets that have never before existed in any game. You are equipped to the teeth with tons of them. There are around 20 ways to beat every mission and many different way to fight enemies. You have multiple ways to navigate thru the city and multiple ways of sneaking around enemies. I am not going to spoil this game too much so let me just say. Don't judge the game based on the older reviews when the game was broken. Play it now and I am pretty sure you will love it as I did. I give it 9/10 because it deserves it. One of the best recent games no question about it.

Despite some minor graphical issues, its the mature and literary intelligent masterpiece. I enjoyed it a lot. The most intensive performance is given by The Joker. Arkham knight is perfectly crafted out of the box of star wars - apprentice and master legacy. And our Dark knight is marvellous in the Batmobile.

Even further improved and more intuitive gameplay (other than inconsiderate key bindings which can be mostly solved by remapping keys), stunning graphics, storyline to match City and Asylum, especially as the conclusion to the series, although the soundtrack is quite lacking.
Personally, I've always despised the character of Batman, but the Arkham game series are one of a kind and this final entry does the series justice.

And now Gotham is blazing, the streets are captured by gangs, and Batman in the company of allies is scurrying back and forth, like an early superhero help, and extinguishes one "Fire" after another. After the first few hours in Batman: Arkham Knight, it becomes clear that this plot meltshenie will not end for the hero anything good. Rocksteady is ready to put an end to the story and make Batman's last fight with the criminal world of Gotham truly memorable.
This inner readiness to bid farewell to the character with which the developers spent six years is declared literally in every scene. You will first see a confused Batman, who understands that, choosing from two evils, he will still come to disaster. You will first see broken Batman, when grief fills the whole space of the game. You will first see a lying Batman, ready to go to treason to save Gotham. Perhaps you will first see a living Batman, and not a heroic doll, capable of doing only two things - pushing pretentious speeches and sending one villain after another behind bars. And the point here is not that the writers wanted to "revive" the hero. Quite the opposite: they are so focused on the "holiness" of the character, cut out of him a piece of live emotion after another, that at some point before us is a real monster. Sometimes I was just disgusted to look at this person, to hear what he was saying. I wanted to scream, "Wait, but it's not Batman, how's that!" But towards the end the puzzle was formed, the whole picture opened to me - and I was just sitting with a drooping jaw, amazed at how clever the writers had put together all the elements together, how masterfully they manipulated my feelings and emotions. But it was in the final, we again return to Gotham. Over the great city there is a danger. The mysterious Knight of Arkham in the company of Harley Quinn, Scarecrow, Penguin, Two-faced, Mysterious and other villains collects a huge army, before which the only task is to destroy all who dare to stand in their way and subdue Gotham and its inhabitants. The conflict came to a fundamentally new level: the streets of the city go tanks, the sky is controlled by drones. Around the roadblocks are broken, on the buildings are installed automatic turrets, opening fire on anyone who is in the radius of their action. Now your enemies are not the companies who drank gopnik, who picked up bits and knives somewhere, but trained soldiers, who prefer to act together. They keep in touch with each other, try to prevent catching "one by one". When the situation becomes critical, they simply go astray and comb one corner after another; "Burn out" Batman's hidden lazy; Spread on the ledges of charges, exploding in contact with a man, which limits the maneuverability of the hero; place turrets that respond to movement. The behavior that we have seen before, however, in the battles with serious opponents. Now this is the norm for most missions. At the same time, the acquaintances of the previous units "patsanchiki" have not disappeared anywhere - they are still wandering the streets in search of simpletons left in the city after the announced evacuation. But if you collide with them, then, as a rule, while driving a batmobile. Just go, knock them down, hit with an electric current or "neutralize" them from a cannon. They do not represent any threat - for example, urban garbage, which could not stand the competition with the well-trained army of Knight Arkham.

The conflict came to a fundamentally new level: the streets of the city go tanks, the sky is controlled by drones. Around the roadblocks are broken, on the buildings are installed automatic turrets, opening fire on anyone who is in the radius of their action.

Batmobile, perhaps, is the most controversial innovation of the game. And not because I have some complaints to him (on the contrary, I consider it ideal, even if he behaves on the road as a poorly managed trough). But the developers did not just write it into the structure of Arkham Knight as one of the options, and built around it a significant part of the game. Gotham patrols the units of drones, which are ruled by the people of Knight Arkham. Faced with them, you transfer the batmobile into combat mode (it turns into a kind of self-propelled combat vehicle) and eliminates the threat. In fact, the drones replaced the usual opponents, which we used to encounter on the streets of the city from time to time.

Aside from a few sputters during the animation when entering the Batmobile and the FPS cap at 30, I didn’t experience any of the problems many PC players were experiencing with the game. If any dark, rainy, dirty and downtrodden city could be beautiful, it’s Gotham in Arkham Knight.

First off the graphics. They are awful. The PC version is a simple dreadful console port that seems to lack ambient occlusion, and enabling any of the Nvidia game workshop features will either crash the game outright or cause it to run at ~4-10FPS.

Secondly the frame rate. The game is based off the recent unreal engine and runs like crysis 4 on a blender regardless of the settings. Something is seriously amiss with the engine and even users that have the best rigs money can buy are reporting stuttering, frame rate drops, and horrible performance. I can barely average 20 FPS with a 5.0ghz CPU and a gtx 780 with 16 gigs of ram. This is WITH Nvidias recent drivers.

Lastly the gameplay. It's hard to tell if this game is a masterpiece or a dud because the suttering and crashing problems reduce it to some kind of frustrating slide show. I think there may be genius in the title but I would STRONGLY recommend against purchasing this game before rocksteady a) publicly apologizes and b) releases at least 2-3 patches.

Sadly I bought off GMG instead of steam or I would have already joined the thousands of overs seeking refunds.

Scored at 0 for being literally unplayable in its RELEASE state, and those of you defending this company by saying "this is the new standard" can go get dicked because that attitude is EXACTLY why game companies feel they can get away with this kind of practice.

After the bugged and broken Arkham Origins I was ready to right this series off as a loss. It was a cash grab that WB handed off to a studio that had zero experience with the series. Beyond the PC only game breaking bugs the combat and stealth mechanics were broken for all platforms.

But then Rocksteady and WB drop the bomb that this entire time, ever since Arkham City, they've been working on the real game Arkham Knight. No involvement by WB Montreal or Splash Games who ruined Origins. After delaying the game by more than 6 months its finally released and completely unplayable.

Now my issues are not graphics related. Which is surprising since I only have a 2600K and a 670. All the prerendered stuff lags like crazy like it does for a lot of people, but I have zero lag or framerate issues during actual game play. What makes it unplayable for me is the stupid camera positioning. I've tried playing with the Camera Assist option both on and off and no matter what setting I use the camera keeps adjusting itself to default directly overhead.

Gliding, walking, driving, all are borderline impossible because I can never see anything in front of me. Even standing still, talking to someone via the holo thing in my gauntlet, I'll put the camera behind me so I can see the person I'm talking to, and it will just swing itself back over the top of my head.

First up when I installed the 5 discs it then decided that through steam it needed to download a further 20 GIGS worth of god knows

First up when I installed the 5 discs it then decided that through steam it needed to download a further 20 GIGS worth of god knows what. It did this and upon loading - it crashed. I restarted and it crashed again. It continued to do this before finally loading.

The gameplay is solid and feels like a normal batman game that we all love however it is horifically optimised. Cut scenes run at 60fps then in engine cutscenes at 31fps and gameplay locked at 31fps. It drops consistently for no apparent reason, though admitedly the lowest I have experienced so far is 27fps (despite the inbuilt PC benchmarking giving me a solid 60fps)

For some reason the textures are only set at 'normal' and no option to go higher... Where are the 'ultimate' settings we were promised? And WHY am I forced to play at 30fps? If I wanted to play with muddy looking textures, low framerate and bad optimisation then I would have bought a console version. I am finding the fact that is is locked at 30fps and then dropping frames seriously disapointing considering my hardward. The rain effects are great but my gosh does it make the overall look of the game feel weird. Finally in one bright spot - the character models and animations are fantastic and some of the best I have ever seen.

To put it simply - this is a complete and utter mess and I cannot for the life of me understand how this was released for PC in such a state.

    MY Specs:
    Windforce GTX980
    i5 4690K at 4ghz
    16gb DDR3 Ram
    7,200rpm 2tb HDD
    Windows 7
Gaming ONLY PC - nothing else is run on this.

Recently played this terrible game, awful pc port. Just cant imagine how could such a game belong to my once favorite studio. Do not recommend this so-called game to everyone. Waste of time and money

An absolute disaster of a port - on a par with Watch Dogs and Assassins Creed Unity. Do Not Buy, unless you are a fan of slideshows and powerpoint presentations.

A disgraceful release. Broken. Looks inferior to the console versions even with a high end card and runs like a dog. I can't believe they released the game in this state knowing how bad it was. The only upside for me is I didn't pay for it as it came free with my graphics card

This is unacceptable, we PC gamers deserve some respect, companies really have to stop doing these terrible ports, and we should stop preordering this kind of broken ****

Broken PC port. Horrible framerate drops. Just get a refund. Worst pc port ever! Very disappointing from Rocksteady. This game is absolutely a piece of trash on PC and if you have less specific than minimum dont try to run this garbage.

This game is absolutely amazing, but on the PC the performance is so bad I'm talking a whole new level of Unity bad the worst part isn't that the game is locked to 30fps because that's fine but when a GTX 980 can't hold it at a stable 30fps it's pretty obvious Rocksteady didn't spend that much time on the PC port so either wait a couple of months for them to fix it, got it on PS4/Xbox orThis game is absolutely amazing, but on the PC the performance is so bad I'm talking a whole new level of Unity bad the worst part isn't that the game is locked to 30fps because that's fine but when a GTX 980 can't hold it at a stable 30fps it's pretty obvious Rocksteady didn't spend that much time on the PC port so either wait a couple of months for them to fix it, got it on PS4/Xbox or just don't buy it at all unless you've got 4 GTX titan X's! Downright unplayable and does not deserve to be released at all. If you pre-order this from Steam, just get your refund and wait till the GOTY Edition is released.

I have bought many PC games in the past, so I am well aware I should not expect a game to be perfect on release date. There is going to be some bugs. However, the release date was pushed back for this game so I had high expectations. I at least expected the game would be playable, but honestly it isn't due to extremely slow frame rate. The slow frame rate occurs even if you have the latest graphics card drivers and above the minimum system requirements. It plays like the PC just can't handle the game. I managed to get through the beginning intro of the story and it was interesting. But when Batman glides, ti's incredibly slow. If you turn your gaze, the clear graphics become a bleary mess. Today there have been a few minor patches released. That has not improved the playing experience, at least not for me. Now I can't even play the game and it crashes. I am seriously annoyed. If i had a PS4 I would get a refund and buy it for that instead. But I don't so I'm hoping they fix it. I want the awesome game I was anticipating! Expand

Playing as Batman? Awesome. Playing as Batman through repetitive, empty missions? Less awesome. Playing as the Batmobile? Awful.

Porting issues aside, Batman: Arkham Knight is a decent enough game. It's not the spectacular swansong we hoped for from Rocksteady, but it's another solid - if predictable - slice of Arkham gameplay, with a couple of great sections along the way.

An entertaining superhero power fantasy, let down by awful Batmobile combat, a laughable villain, and serious performance issues.
