Overall: While at first it looked really nice graphically, i'm not extremely happy with this game. Water looks kind of weird at times, idk what it is, but some weird graphics effect. Another complaint would be that ocean feels really empty, there's hardly anything in the ocean, compared to Odyssey that had sunken temples and whales, sharks, sunken shipwrecks. Maybe i just haven't lookedOverall: While at first it looked really nice graphically, i'm not extremely happy with this game. Another complaint would be that ocean feels really empty, there's hardly anything in the ocean, compared to Odyssey that had sunken temples and whales, sharks, sunken shipwrecks. Maybe i just haven't looked enough, but so far it seems that there's nothing to explore in the ocean in Valhalla and that's a shame. I was hoping for giant squids and stuff, because it's the correct region where they actually live in real life, but i guess Ubisoft didn't want to take that risk, because "giant squid too scary, whore cares that it actually exists". But negatives out of the way, it's still really solid Assassin's creed game. Not better than Black Flag, but overall it can be fun. I was just expecting little bit more. Hopefully next game will be this huge leap, but Valhalla is still okay. But it fixes so many things that Odyssey lacked, like solid story, more interesting map, not grindy anymore. There's room for improvement, like adding more legacy outfits, adding something to ocean?? Please Ubisoft?? Unless it was always meant to have empty ocean, but it's just weird idk. But like i said it's still way better than Odyssey, even with it's flaws.
Ranking: My 4th favorite Ac game.

a game without a soul like everything froma game without a soul, like everything from ubisoft, I will never buy anything from them. WHY was it all for, what was the quest for alone? Not one answer to the questions, but the "fans" are already stealing!

Disappointment is not the word that is appropriate here!! Two years lead to nowhere, during these two years they simply sucked money out of people and it was not important for developers to make an interesting story, do not believe YOU ALREADY!!!! And as the money stopped coming, they kicked out a crumpled, disgusting finale that shows how much they don't give a **** about us
Stop making pre-orders, we can do without them, they won't be without us! . It was a waste of time!

Very enjoyable game, i was expecting it to be pretty bad according to all the negative reviews, but i was surprised how fun it actually is. It's not reinventing the wheel, but is way better than Origins and even more Odyssey, Odyssey was absolutely awful in my opinion, story was trash and it didn't even feel like Assassin's Creed. It's not reinventing the wheel, but is way better than Origins and even more Odyssey, Odyssey was absolutely awful in my opinion, story was trash and it didn't even feel like Assassin's Creed. Valhalla is different, you have all the classic AC elements back and while parkour leaves much to be desired, it's still better than Odyssey's non-existing parkour. Graphics are really good, obviously best on PC, but solid on consoles as well. I would advise ignoring very low reviews, because they clearly don't understand what makes this game fun and i would have almost missed this game thanks to negative reviews. I'm happy i tried it, because i pretty much gave up on AC after Odyssey. Expand

Not perfect in any way, but right step forward after disasters that were Origins and Odyssey, hopefully next one will be more like Unity. By the way, just for you knowledge, it's mostly youtube comments section hate, in reality this game has millions of fans all over the world and sold more than Ubisoft ever imagined. To see that, go under any new AC Valhalla video comment section and you see bunch of people whining and complaining how "bad Valhalla is", it's usually 200-300 comments, so in other words, meaningless number, while video itself has thousands of views and thousand of likes. So it's very clear that most people actually like this game. Expand

Is it as good as Unity or Black Flag? Nope. But it's still more Assassin's Creed game than Odyssey was. At least it has this actual AC feel. Graphics are nice, story is fine (nothing special sadly), combat is fun. I think best parts of this game are actually still coming - Ireland and Paris DLC's look extremely promising, but even without these, it's very solid game!

So, It has all the usual Ubi launch day bugs, But we knew that was coming. I have been playing the series since the beginning and as good of a game as this is, It doesn't feel like an Assassins Creed game. If you were a fan of Odyssey, You will like this game........Probably not as much though.

From Europe's best and most creative studio "Ubisoft", comes amazing Assassin's Creed game that truly shows history of Europe, specially Norway and England! Amazing game!

Feminist trolls and stupid people who think that religion is real are trying to lower this games user score, but in the end it doesn't even matter. Most actual gamers like this game and that's all that matters. Vikings

Interesting game. Cities feel full of life and danger. Large landscapes give you feeling of absolute freedom. Combat is more brutal than ever. Some missions are fun, some are boring, but it's like that with every game ever. Overall impressions are very positive, can't wait for DLC's.

Until Resident Evil Village comes out, it's literally only 2020 game that is still worth playing. Doom

Until Resident Evil Village comes out, it's literally only 2020 game that is still worth playing. Doom Eternal got old very fast and i'm not gonna play Tony Hawk 1+2 Remake 24/7. Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the biggest fails of all time. Resident Evil 3 Remake was too short and boring. Last of Us 2 is one of the worst games ever made. Watch Dogs Legion is pathetic. Final Fantasy VII Remake has no reason to play again, even tho good game. Ghost of Tsushima has one of the worst camera angles in any video game ever, so i just can't play it, but it doesn't seem very interesting anyway. Marvel's Avengers is a joke. Mafia 1 Remake had good story, but has one of the emptiest open-worlds ever, there's absolutely nothing to do or explore.

So what's left? Literally only one game - Assassin's Creed Valhalla! It's not best game ever / not best AC game, but at least it's fun enough and DLC's almost look more interesting than main game, so i'm hyped. There's obviously always option to play older games (i do that literally all the time), but this review is for people who want something new.

If you don't care about historical locations, monuments etc or history of this planet in general, then these games very clearly are not for you! These aren't your typical pointless shooter or whatever teh f...ck else is popular right now. These games are way deeper and well crafter. There's are a reason why literal historians get almost shocked, how well these world are created. You can literally look these people up from youtube playing AC Origins etc.

These games are nothing you should take for granted, ever. There's so many people from past who would have given anything to play these kinds of locations in video game, but they never could, because these types of games didn't exist before year 2007 and that was just the beginning. They would have loved to climb realistic Notre Dame in 1790s Paris (AC Unity) or Pyramids in Egypt (AC Origins). Modern people finally can do that and that's big deal, very big deal. But these absolutely stupid haters will never understand that and that's sad and pathetic at the same time. Not that i care, i will keep playing these games until the day i die, but i just felt like it's important point these things out.

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla restored my faith in Ubisoft. I was really worried after Ghost Recon Breakpoint. It's actually understandable that all their games can't be hits, because they have so many studios working on different games, so no wonder some of these games are great and some are not.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a great-looking open-world game with impressive landscapes and cinematography. However, the checklist collectible open-world still needs some work to feel truly engaging, and combat is too tedious and too frequent to be compelling. As a lapsed fan of Assassin's Creed trying to see if I can click with the series once again, Valhalla didn't quite hook me as I was hoping it would.

Assassins Creed Valhalla is a lot of fun and easy to sink dozens of hours into. It is the best entry in the more recent trilogy and genuinely elevates the gameplay mechanics. Content could be considered somewhat bloated still, but it is diverse enough and the setting and story is solid most of the way through.

Sneaking is fun, fighting is fun, walking through the great outdoors is so much fun. Sightseeing too! Valhalla is free minded and could be innovative, but lacks skills to persuade its players about that. [Issue#308]
