    This user score should be way higher, 7.1 is absolute BS. Anyone seriously thinks Mafia 1 remake was better than this? Game that had absolutely empiest open world ever? Hell no. And by the way i like Mafia 1 for what it is, but it's not even comparable to AC Valhalla.

    I think i know what it is. Not that many people really cared about mafia, so it didn't attract that many haters and it was easy to get mafia user score to normal, but AC is very popular, so of course it attracted haters. But it's absolute injustice, because this game is very good and it's literally ONLY ps4 game as of right now that is ACTUALLY GOOD, but has low user score. Every other ps4 game has normal scores, so it's very important to get this user score to normal, because it's one of the best games of 2020. For sony it's easy, i literally witnessed how fake asian reviews got Demon's Souls Remake to over 500 positive 10/10's in one day.
    But ubisoft and other companies doesn't have that asian army that upvotes their games, they rely on actual fans.    … Expand

    Hands down best video game of November 2020. After playing it over 30 hours i could actually held debates about why it's so good and i would win each one of these easily. Nothing beats it from November line-up. But not only that, it's good even in general 2020 gaming terms. To me it's in same boat with Doom Eternal and Final Fantasy VII Remake, all very different games, but i have veryHands down best video game of November 2020.     There were many hateful nerds on youtube making hate videos on this game and were hoping it to fail and they had most iditotic reasonings ever. Like one youtuber said that choosing between male and female character is not enough? Kidding me? You should be happy you can choose your character. If anything you should whine about this stuff to Rockstar not Ubisoft. Oh wait?     Assassin's Creed Valhalla plays best on PC, but i'm sure it also runs well on next-gen consoles.
    I personally own only PC and PS4 versions. Very good game.

    I'm blown away by graphics and variety of locations this game offers. Honestly might be one of my favorites of 2020. Hopefully dlc's are good as base game.

    Great game, but just a reminder, YES you can play it on 2013 consoles, however....
    You can't expect best graphics/fps, etc. You just can't, it's 2020 game, i'm sorry to break it to you, but it's time upgrade. If you really wanna play it on ps4 then ps4pro is your best option.

    Surprisingly very good. Better than Odyssey, and just as good as Origins imo. Ubisoft combined some aspects of the old ACs and the new ones, and it works nicely. Great game, very nice :)

    Very good Ubisoft, more of this please! Finally Assassin's Creed that feels like Assassin's Creed taking elements from Black Flag, Unity, Origins and then making it something new at the same time. Hell yea.

But to other millions of fans who have played and enjoyed this series past 7 years i would recommend this! All the classic elements like hood, hidden blade, one shot assassinations are back. They removed all the grind from Odyssey, you get 2 skill-points at the time and it's very easy to get them. Story is interesting, characters are likable, graphics look incredible. My favorite games were GTA 4, Max Payne 3, Alan Wake, Skyrim, Dead Space, Resident Evil, Red Dead Redemption, stuff like that. But when Assassin's Creed 4 came out late 2013, that was first time i actually got interested. They innovated so much within 2011-2012 i always knew that something called "Assassin's Creed" existed, but it never really interested me, i simply didn't care about it. More i played it, more i liked it, i started looking up historical facts about that era, etc. First time ever I really liked Assassin's Creed game and from then on i have been huge fan. Yeah Unity had awful launch, but they pretty much fixed it in first 2 months and i almost hate that people bring it up all the time, because so many games have had absolutely awful launch, but they never get so much whining, maybe it was because AC is so popular idk. Either way Unity has best parkour of the series and graphics that still impress me today. Odyssey was kind of mistake imo, because story was meh and it grindy. Now Valhalla fixed it all and bring back stuff i loved from Black Flag and parkour elements from Unity. Overall Valhalla is very good AC game and better than last two.… Expand

I think any reasonable person would do that before paying 60 dollars. I would never but Marvel's Avengers, already knowing that i will hate it and then gonna give it 0/10. Makes no sense.     Positives so far: Graphics, Story, Likable Characters, Open-world, Variety of Enemies, Secrets, Classic Assassin elements are back.
    Negatives/Could be better: Needs some improvements, but overall very solid, specially after patch 1.0.4 that fixed lots of issues for me.

    Never cared for Odyssey, Valhalla is so much better. No grind as far as i can tell and game is actually interesting this time. You get 2 skill points for basically every mission you complete. Power level goes up fast enough. If someone think this is boring, i'm sure you will your "FUN" out of games like last of us part II.

    I finished Black Flag, Unity, Syndicate and Origins while preparing for this and it's so enjoyable so far. Story hooked me from the beginning and i love sailing in Norway, super relaxing. Combat is very brutal this time.

    Norway / England have been created pretty well in this game and some other locations too.

A huge , vibrant, colourfull open world wich was designed with beautiful graphics and an intriguing story line, wich for me, makes Alexios one of the most memorable assassins of all the franchise ! There are so many unique places, items, quests, characters , weapons that make this game anThis is a masterpiece of a game coming from Ubisoft and most likely a must play for every RPG fan. A huge , vibrant, colourfull open world wich was designed with beautiful graphics and an intriguing story line, wich for me, makes Alexios one of the most memorable assassins of all the franchise !     PC version is easily best version of this game, but it's really nice what they did with ps5/xbox series x/s. Very beautiful graphics and fun story, i'm sure most AC fans will like it.

    Good comeback Ubisoft! This game has way more depth than i expect, hopefully that's how Ubisoft main titles will be from now on. At least AC and Far Cry.

    Might be my favorite map of any Ubisoft game ever. Sure, i like Paris in Unity and Black Flag has generally interesting map, but Valhalla is just new level. Very beautiful game.

    I have always liked Assassin's Creed soundtracks, they hit the nail basically every time, but this one.....this one might be my favorite. Specially main theme, but there's also so many good themes that play while you just free roam. Very well made soundtrack. Been playing around 25 hours i think and story is well written, but what really impressed me was graphics.

I understand that you want to promote your own store and that's completely normal, Rockstar is doing exactly same thing, but they also put their games into steam. Why not both? And AC Valhalla sold a lot anyway from Ubisoft Launcher, so it wouldn't hurt inAmazing game! But Ubisoft come on, you need to bring it to steam.     Very nice, specially Norway because i like this all snowy/ice area. But England has also really interesting locations. Hopefully Ireland brings something new again and i have no idea what to expect from Paris? I have no idea what Paris looked like in 800s so yea.

All they are trying to do is to get rid of Assassin's Creed, so Sony could replace it with something similar.     Good side - Graphics,Music,Story.
    Meh side - where's unity and black flag legacy outfits? i'm so tired of Altair's outfit in every game, come on, unity and black flag please!!!!!!
    Bad side - most bugs got fixed with 1.0.4 patch, but there's tons of things they could still patch because it's insanely big game.

    Seems like most haters went quiet after it was revealed that this game was massive success lol. Some losers still remain (who very likely never played it), but nobody cares about them. Great game, more of this Ubisoft!

    I'm so happy that this game turned out to be as awesome as it is. One of the best games of 2020 without a question. Reading these hate comments makes it very clear that none of these losers who gave it 0/10 or 1/10 have never played it. Can't wait for Far Cry 6, because Ubisoft is back!

    Truly standout graphics compared to other 2020 games, i would say one of the best graphics even. Story is 85% fun, there's some filler, but that's expected from huge games like this. But even then all missions are at least decent, but most are actually good. All this nonsense from Odyssey is gone. Also, basically all classic AC elements are back, ,like hidden blade.     Assassin's Creed is one of the greatest things that has happened to gaming after Grand theft auto series. Ability to go back in time 100s of years and visit these old cities and locations is simply amazing. No other game series offer something like that. Without a question it's one of the best in the series taking elements from Origins and Black Flag, while also adding something completely new. I personally found "Ghost of Tsushima" pretty boring compared to Valhalla, but these games shouldn't be compared anyway, because they are very different.     So far my favorite AC location was Paris from Unity, but Norway-England might be my new favorite. So well created. Good job Ubisoft, i mean it.

    I feel bad for these people who leave 0/10 scores. I would hate to be so empty and sad that i need to give 0/10 scores to games that i don't even play. Must suck to be one of these people.

    Assassin's Creed Valhalla promises long hours for fans of the series with its open world and successful Viking theme.
    Nothing is perfect and that's okay, but overall it's very good ac game!

    Finally video game that isn't over in 5-6 hours, thank god! And it's not some endless filler, but it's most of them time actually interesting and world is really interesting to explore, specially with those amazing graphics.

    Pretty fun game, all the grind from Odyssey is completely gone, now you get +2 skill points and a lot xp from each quest.

    That's why sites like "Steam" are so much better, over 50% negative reviews here are fake or double fake accounts. I did some investigation and it's so obvious.     Ghost of Tsushima shouldn't be even compared to AC Valhalla. Yes they share similar elements, but overall they are completely different games. AC Valhalla world is way bigger, deeper and it's part of long series. Ghost of Thusima is completely different thing. There you wont climb mountains and assassinate people with hidden blade.     Of course it has some bugs, it's insanely big open world game, but most bugs were fixed in 1.0.4 patch, now from here on it's just quality fixes and additional content.

    I never really cared for Odyssey, yeah it was fun in 2018, but overall story sucked and it missed so many AC elements. Valhalla fixes it all. Only thing i would complain about Valhalla is that i run out of arrows all the time. Why can't i craft arrows? Come on Ubisoft.

    8 Days to go for Cyberpunk 2077, so hyped! But until then i can play this epic, been having so much fun with Valhalla, would recommend if you like big open world games.

    OMG i love this game so much, basically nothing from 2020 compares, okay doom eternal is great and final fantasy 7 remake as well, but these are so different from this. They are all great in their own way. But AC Valhalla is just epic.

    I bought both PS5 and PS4 versions (PC digital as well), but PS5 and PS4 as discs, just to have all possible versions i cared about. Am i fan? I think so lol.

    Great game, keep going Ubisoft! More stuff like this in Far Cry 6 please and not whatever Far Cry 5 was. Make it more serious, make it mean something, go deeper with stuff. You have done it in past with Far Cry 3, AC Black Flag and AC Unity. You can do it again.

    One of the best of 2020 and i'm saying it dead seriously. No game has so much content from this year (so far of course), resident evil 3 and avengers are absolute jokes compared to this. Making 5 hours long game that's sold for 60 should stop. AC Valhalla is easy 150 hours cool content with beautiful graphics.

    It's weird paradox that Assassin's Creed has millions of fans all over the world, but for some reason they never really come to metacritic. Maybe it's because AC fans are more mature and don't give a f_ck about some random scores on some random pages, that would make sense actually.
    And it sold over 1.8 million anyway, so basically who cares about metacritic user score at this point.

How about enjoy this one? I personally don't even care, if there's going to be next one or whatever it will be. It will come out earliest November 2022 anyway.     Assassin's Creed Valhalla is The Ultimate Assassin's Creed experience that combines elements from past and from more recent games while adding some new flavor. Strong recommendation, specially after patch 1.0.4.

    Seems to be one of those games i will never stop playing, just like i still play gta 5 single-player from time to time or AC Black Flag. AC Valhalla is very likely new addition to these games that i never stop playing. It has so much content, most of it is interesting, it's fun, combat is sick, i can tell they really worked on this one. Good job Ubisoft and thank you for not disappointing.

    Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a great-looking open-world game with impressive landscapes and cinematography. However, the checklist collectible open-world still needs some work to feel truly engaging, and combat is too tedious and too frequent to be compelling. As a lapsed fan of Assassin's Creed trying to see if I can click with the series once again, Valhalla didn't quite hook me as I was hoping it would.

    Assassins Creed Valhalla is a lot of fun and easy to sink dozens of hours into. It is the best entry in the more recent trilogy and genuinely elevates the gameplay mechanics. Content could be considered somewhat bloated still, but it is diverse enough and the setting and story is solid most of the way through.

    Sneaking is fun, fighting is fun, walking through the great outdoors is so much fun. Sightseeing too! Valhalla is free minded and could be innovative, but lacks skills to persuade its players about that. [Issue#308]
