    I am not a fan boy nor a hater. I am right in the middle of the road concerning Ubisoft and their AC franchise. That being said, I love the changes they have implemented in this game versus the previous games. Odyssey overtakes AC2 as my favorite AC game ever.

И каждая часть игры рассказывает историю своего времени, которое в итоге складывается в одно целое. Отличная работа от Юбисофт.Пожалуй лучшая игра серии.     Let me guess why this game is so underrated. First optimization issues on launch. Second what kind of audience bought this? Ubisoft thought they made this game for the people who love skyrim, witcher (2,3), Tomb raider and horizon zero dawn. But actually AC predecessors bought this game and they literally screwed up by playing this masterpiece. Ubisoft should not change the genre of thisLet me guess why this game is so underrated.     2) Анимации. Тут всё просто. Мир большой, пустой - анимаций поменьше, а то плойки сгорят. Мы же на эту аудиторию ориентируемся.
    3) Гринд. Левелгриндинг здесь уже на уровне дро**льни. Спасибо, трейнеры и читы еще в моде из-за таких как Ubersoft.
    Подитожив, можно сказать, что каждый раз всё хуже и хуже. Покупать следующие части 100% не буду.

    Today this serie has became to mockery. And this is understood by everyone. Isolating from Assassin's Creed title, we can see that this game isn't bad. But there are many problems not only for AC but for Common RPG too. Yes, It's beauty; yes, It's aesthetic. But for me(So, I think not only for me) this is only her advantages. Unfortunately, all the advantages is fading on background of: 1) Ugly plot. And not only "main" but modern days too. There is trash-born narco. They didn't give a sh*t on modern days and did it for that the "olds" didn't ask. An "olds" assed off. 2) Animations. It's easy. The world is big, empty - less animation or PS4 will be burnt off. Ubi are concentrating only on that platform. 3) Grind. Level-grinding is on the je*king level. Thanks trainers and cheats.
    In the end, I can write everytime AC worst and worst. I won't buy the next part 100%. Also thanks google translator 'cause my Eng skills still like AC Odyssey.    … Expand

The scenery is more lush, you have naval battles, big battles between Athens and Sparta, mercenaries, but despite all these additions the game feels lesser. Maybe because grind feels like it increased. And level gating is still there
    However the inclusion of the Discovery Mode propels this game into good game territory.    Very similar to AC Origins, with the setting moved to Ancient Greece. The scenery is more lush, you have naval battles, big battles between Athens and Sparta, mercenaries, but despite all these additions the game feels lesser.     The main game is awesome with a giant, complete and Realistic open Greek world. You can easily find it fun for more than 150h of gameplay.
    Only negative point are the DLC's that are a little bit repetitive, but still fun!

    This game really did the best to combine the best of the game mechanics of Witcher 3 and Horizon Zero Dawn. All the 3 game styles, assassin, melee, ranged are valid options.
    The Greek world is astonishing, the map is huge, it is good to see people from Greek history.
    The story is interesting but not at any level as deep as Witcher 3 provides. After the first ~20 levels, I think you have seen everything the game can offer, even it is becoming in a way easier as you start to ramp up skills that are more lethal than the basic levels. For me the bounty hunters appearing cheating in the middle of the fight and follow you to the bush your are hiding into resulted in that most of the money I earned went into clearing the bounties even in the middle of fights.     This is my first Assassin's Creed game i've ever play, so i look at this game without knowing about anything about the early AC Franchise, and see this as a standalone game.

    - The story, it's really started really well, how complicated and somehow make me hyped up to continue, but kind of dissappointing in the end because how dull it is (especially the main odyssey story), the cutscene has really a good potential but end up boring and basic.
    - First i play this game, too many resemblance to the Witcher 3 that hard to ignore. that's why i directly compared the game while i play. nothing beats the dialogue, well-written story and character, and interesting quest, some good jokes in The Witcher 3, AC Odyssey meanwhile is just low level below in term of all that aspect compared to The Witcher 3. but, in term of gameplay and combat mechanics, sure AC Odyssey win a big part

    A step back after Origins. The game is ok, but the plot is not very intersting, the gameplay gets repetitive soon and many missions like the battles or the naval parts are fun at first because they add nothing to the experience.
    Also, the gameplay is not particulary interesting or deep, but still, the graphics and sound desing are still nearly perfect.

    I have enjoyed myself but the level scaling is completely broken. The RPG elements feel tacked on and add little to no value. The level system serves as a series of poorly made gates to keep you from progressing through the map too early. Later, the poor level scaling somewhat brakes the game in that it completely neuters the assassin build. There's zero scaling in AI (once you learn to play the game in the first three to five hours, there's no new or novel strategies you'll have to learn or apply). Instead their idea of level scaling is to slowly neuter the assassin's build, completely breaking it around the mid 40's. Enemies you should be able to one shot, them being equal or of a lesser level, now will become unbeatable even with the guaranteed critical ability the game provides you with. Also, the entire map scales to your level, so when you reach level 50, so does everything else on the map. I'm finding the assassin's build at this point is almost completely worthless. Instead of being an overpowered god of death endgame, I find my character has been turned into a eunuch. After each failed assassination attempt, I'm now being forced to play the new, under baked combat system that I absolutely loath. Where the old Assassin's Creed combat system was centered around parry-then-kill, the new design is to have you occasionally dodge or parry, then to have you mash light or heavy attack for what feels like a hundred times before an enemy falls. Not only are the kills unfulfilling, but their tedious and stressful to get. Where Prince of Persia had a unique and fun combo system, this combat system is the exact opposite: un-creative, tedious, and timing agnostic. It's mash to win. Late game, dodging and parrying becomes optional since you can run around the map until your heal ability is back up.

    The story was compelling at first, but it became lost under a deluge of unmemorable side quests. After about 20 hours, I lost all interest in what any of the NPC's were saying and my impatience spilled over into the main story line. I've just made it out of Sparta with a very important character in tow, who was under threat, and I don't really know what's going on anymore. I got so sick of the meaningless dialog, I ended up skipping critical parts of the story, and now I'm just aimlessly wandering around clearing encampments. My interest to complete this title is quickly drying up as I don't see my play style being rewarded (in fact the opposite is happening) the novelty of the gameplay is wearing off, and I've completely lost the thread of the plot. The "one open world, one grand arching plot" was kind of a mistake. The Persian side-quest story line was perfect. It was self-contained, it was the right length, and it was compelling. I would've preferred 3-5 sequential or self-contained "main" quest lines in that style, than one that dragged on for too long and then fizzled.    … Expand

    Whole Ancient Greek was breathtaking, and gameplay was interesting enough. However, the world is empty. Sidequests are quite boring, and main story is a disappointment.

    Its a good game but very repetitive, the world is gigantic and there's so much things to do but the lack of variation makes the game longer than it should be. Graphics are really good and the rpg system is cool.

    Ancient Greece setting is jaw dropping. I loved it. Nuff said.
    The fashion. Probably better than any other game so far in my personal opinion, yo can mix and match different pieces of ancient armor, robes and clothing. My personal favorite is a sculpted bronze breastplate with white assassin's hood, ancient greek chic for the win.

    What I didn't like:
    The liberal use of fantastical elements. This is no longer a sci fi ancient aliens story, this is pure fantasy, that ALSO has sci fi ancient aliens, alongside pegasi, minotaurs and other fantastic monsters. I'm not a huge fan.
    The story. It seems we've lost track of what the story of the series was originally about. But dfortuantely the overwhelming majority of the story takes place in ancient times in this sequel, with only a small amount of the present being involved, so this is mitigated somewhat.
    AND... the grind. Oh yes, this is by far the worst part of the game. Between every story mission yo will have to kill roughly 7 spartan general, 14 athenian liuetenants, 32 spartan soldiers, 126 athenian archers, 427 spartan triremes, 9,276 athenien biremes and about 47,326 mercenaries. The grins in this game is unreal, and due to the way level scaling works can't really be avoided, as enemies only a few levels above you are near impossible to kill. It's obvios why the grind was included, as there is an XP boost for sale in the store. That is LOW and the publishers should be ashamed of themselves. Completey inexcusable and if yo don't buy into their little scam then it completely ruins the experience of the game. For me, the grind was honestly enough to drop the game halfway through.     It's a really good game but i just can't understand why you make me do lots of side quests to continue the main quest? why !? beside those things i can't say i didn't enjoy its world, storytelling and combat !

Most of them are the same but for me it's really satysfying when I manage to kill whole camp without being seen. Main plot is worse but still better than in Origins IMO. It never gonna happen this good again and it just become more worse in time. Therefore, this series needed to change and adapt itself modern day games which they did and they did it so good.     Графика в игре шикарная играю на ультрах глаз радуется, огромный открытый мир, очень интересный сюжет все понятно что от тебя хотят почти с самого начала. Игра по сути рассказывает как зарождалось братство Ассасинов, как и прошлая часть.

Their faces are emotionless and Ubisoft solves the race diversity by making people of color into white people but with a different skin texture. Also why bother adding dialogue choices when those choices have no impact in the game at all.

    Map is thankfully beautiful with every frame worthy to be a poster but the size of the map is overwhelming especially when its content is repetitive and tiring. The combat system is turned into another Witcher inspired game. Stealth is no longer the main focus, apparently shooting an arrow to head cannot kill a person.

    It's known to everyone that AC games are not historically accurate but this game takes a deep turn to the sci-fi zone and completely lost the identification of Assassins Creed.    … Expand

    One of the best Assassin's Creed games I've ever played. (I played 10 previous versions). In my opinion, the story of this version was the most interesting of all, with several historical characters and a fantastic map!

    The graphics are just wonderful! I played with the character Kassandra, the first female character of the series, which for me, was the best and most striking of all! You have to play that story and the Sinai DLC to get that though. The round hats and their buddies are always scheming to program the goy for their world slave state they want so bad.
    ---Apart from all that this is a good game that goes back to 450 BC or so, it's not educational or historically accurate as the stalinist/commie/1984 ubi would have you believe. It's huge, varied missions and environment are amazing. I just regret only being able to play it at 900p medium settings for ~60fps on my laptop. Drops lower in high npc areas etc but on average is close to that. It's a huge game that you can take hundreds of hours to completely finish or just go through the campaign. I use a trainer to cut out grind so that wasn't an issue for me. I wish they would have made kassandra more female and not sjw pc manlike, the one thing they really needed to copy from witcher 3 is Cyri's body type and combat but this does copy a lot from that game, like origins did as well. I find the mission tracking structure to be annoying at times as it breaks up the flow of a mission, sometimes sub-missions it won't auto track and you have to go find it in the menu to track, if you take on lots of missions that can be hard to do. I love the hawk mode as well, but I don't need a non removable prompt telling me to use Ikaros, let me do it my way. Too many hand-holding prompts in general. But there is so much you CAN do if you want that it's mind boggling, there's the Kosmos Cult, the war campaign, the ship missions, the DLC's and numerous side missions on top of the sizeable main story. Ubi needs to remove the excessive DRM though as that's probably a big reason this game is not too scalable and for even high end systems isn't consistent. A Gog release would be great or just a patch removing all that stuff after 2+ years would be nice.    … Expand

But unfortunately, the game does not follow the textures of remote areas and is not loaded in any way. But the lighting and the quality of the shadows are excellently designed. RPG elements sure had positive and negative effects on the game but I think it's not the elements' fault but rather Ubisoft's implication. Lets get my frustrations out of the way as there is but one. You have 3 damage types. Hunter for the bow and it's skills, warrior for melee combat and skills, assassin for assassinations and its skills. Because I prefer stealth, I opted to max my assassin damage as I had trouble with my assassin damage not being enough. So I only put on gear that increased my assassin damage and also warrior damage in case I screw up and have to go into the combat. This made my hunter damage so low that past a certain point, I didn't fire a single arrow. People also mention that you have to grind for levels If you want to progress in the story. This didn't affect me beacuse I already willingly try to do all side missions. They didn't feel like a chore at all.
    Now, this game's not all negative. You get a huge world albeit a bit empty. Graphics are top notch albeit poorly optimized for pc but you can take care of that with a quick google search. The story really grabbed my attention. Combat had some welcome changes. Microtransactions didn't bother me at all. What can I say it's overall a good time. Buy if you can and want.    … Expand

    This game was a cash grab that doesn't respect the players time. They stretch the gameplay time out by making you travel 20 km over water with nothing in sight other than enemy ships. Each mission is so far from each other that you might as well do youre work while leaving the game running.

    Stealth is practically non existant. You try to stealth through an area, you will fail either because theres not too many options for stealth, or because you're not at a high enough level to assassinate someone yet . And you can never be at a high enough level because the enemies level will increase with you.

    The game literally has no relaation to the assassins brotherhood, other than a few hints of templars (formerly).

    It literally breaks the world that assassins creed built, with no fictional monster like medusa. wtf.

    Ubisoft now implented an rpg system that has no depth to it at all. Wasn't even necessary
    Combat was definitely the best of assassins creeds series.

    Were this not an ac game, it would have been decent. But it just ruined everything the series built up to this point.

    Also there is literally no explanation given as to why the main character had to jump into the animus for this character.

I have not bought a single microtransaction and not once been tempted. I've not really enjoyed games that level up with you like this (Oblivion being a case in point) but with the extra skills you can get you still feel a sense of progression and I forgot about it almost immediately. The one complaint I do have is the male protagonist. I started with him but his voice was so campily over the top I restarted with Kassandra and then felt guilty about not using her from the start. She is blessed with awesome voice work and Alexios fits better as an overly dramatic Deimos. I'll miss Kassandra and the world I've inhabited through 3 months of lock down when I finally finish Fate of Atlantis. Will give it 2 years then pick up a polished copy of Valhalla with all DLC to continue the journey. :)… Expand

    If you love ancient greece it could be even a 9 (although the social aspect is anachronic at best, the documentation work regarding the design of cities and buildings is almost perfect), but if not... a 7 maybe? it's fun and has outstanding visuals, but the story is simply stupid and silly.

    Dear Ubisoft, I've played this game for exactly 120 hours and in a few hours I will have finished everything in the game. Yes, I loved it, but please make your commercial policies in the games a bit more player-friendly. Don't make a service game either. It is clear that this will not be a good system. I hope you will make an effort to make beautiful and meaningful games. Good game to everyone.

O combate permaneceu igual ao Origins com melhorias, o stealth melhorada com os inimigos sendo menos burros.

Great graphics, huge world, average story, to much exploration, afterwards you just get bored from everything. World population is not interact able, which makes this game obviously artificial.

    We must say it clear. It's obviously this is not the Assassin's Creed fans best game. I think it's not a real Assassin's Creed game, but as a game I like it a lot. It's true that the game makes you (want it or not) play some side quests to play the main story, but apart from that I liked it very much.

    As an RPG/Open Adventure/Stealth Game, it's pretty good. As an Assassin's Creed game, it isn't though. There are however 2 kinds of people who review this game. Those who hate this game because it doesn't really feel like an Assassin's Creed game, and those who can see past that.
    It's like Saints Row 4 compared to Saint's Row 2. It's a good game, it just doesn't feel like Saints Row.

    After the crysis series it's the first game I finished without any hack. I loved the game loved the theme loved the combat system. I am not much of an AC fan. As you can see from the other reviews most of the AC lovers didn't like the game because the game does not feel like you are playing AC.     AC Creed Odyssey is similar to AC Origins:
    _great graphics
    _interesting crafting system
    _nice setting (Greece)
    But the game is not good in storytelling and contains very repetitive battles and tasks.

    It's a big open-world game with many areas to explore and I really enjoyed it. if you add a couple of shaders to it the graphics will be gorgeous. gameplay is also very good I enjoy the combat and parkour systems in this game more than the ones in the origins.     Unlike other people i really liked the change of the gameplay and the style of game but the annoying part about the games is the level system you just need to grind for the levels.

    This game was not fun for me. Even though I started the game over 3 times I could not bring myself to finish the game because it was too boring. The main storyline was not exciting.     Ubisoft naprawdę zrobiło dobrą robotę, jednak po dłuższym czasie zaczyna bardzo doskwierać kwestia ogromnego świata i to, że ubisoft w każdym miejscu wrzucili jakieś miejsca, które trzeba zrobić, żeby mieć 100% gry

    assassins creed odyssey adalah game yang sangat baik, walaupun tidak pantas memegang seri assassins creed. Gameplaynya menarik dengan banyak skill dan senjata yang dapat dipilih berdasarkan build yang anda mau, Boss fight juga menark Story agak bertele-tele, seperti mencari musuh yang berada di seluruh penjuru peta, dengan demikian membuat waktu menamatkannya menjadi sangat lama.

You are a mercenary and though you are a Spartan by birth, you fight for any side you prefer. The battle for states is just a grinding mechanism where there is no change to the state whoever wins except for the color of the flag. You cannot make Sparta win all the states as the AI takes back the other states so that no side becomes dominant. There is a metric ton of loot and gears that become obsolete very quickly in the game. There are a lot of skills and only a few you will ever use. The nemesis system was copied from the Mordor games but its bogus. The spartan kick is the OP skill and must have, it opens a lot of opportunity in battle from recruiting enemies to throwing them down the cliff. The campaign is quite boring as there are no sequences for killing cult members and they die like any other NPC but the characters and music in the game are on point.

    Tip - Don't kill the bounty hunters or the cult members, instead drain their health and use your fist or the spartan kick for the final blow. When they are unconscious, you can recruit them for your ship's crew which gives you an edge in the naval battles.    … Expand

Чтобы понять насколько это шедевральная игра нужно поиграть самостоятельно, и желательно купить, ведь одно дело когда ты играешьВеликолепная игра не имеющая как таковых минусов. Про сюжет много сказать не могу, ибо будут спойлеры, скажу лишь то, что персонажи и некоторые миссии действительно ставят игрока перед выбором, некоторые персонажи вызывают сопереживания. Единственный минус игры, который я нашёл - перебор с гриндом. Гринда в игре действительно очень и очень много, и речь не столько о корабле который нужно прокачивать, не о навыках персонажа, даже уровни коих в игре 99 особо вопросов и затруднений не вызывают, я говорю и дополнительных навыках которые открываются после достижения 50 уровня. У каждого дополнительного навыка есть стадия прокачки состоящая из 20 очков необходимых для полной прокачки навыка. Их в игре настолько много, что понадобится около 1000 очков опыта, на низкой сложности полная прокачка всех дополнительных навыков может вызвать дисбаланс. Радует, что дополнительные навыки к прокачке не обязательны, но всё же.… Expand

    This game insults the history of Greece, which is ironic when we see historical accuracy in Assassin's Creed Origins and of course, we don't have diversity because it's Africa. When you wanted white culture to be diverse you made it unrealistically diverse. Why should I fight my people with a 'hero' from another country? no thanks.

    Esse jogo me surpreendeu. Nas primeiras horas eu não dava nada por ele, chato, monótono, entediante. Mas conforme eu fui progredindo as coisas começaram a melhorar. A começar pela liberdade que ele te dá de bandeja, seguido pela Grécia Antiga fenomenal que a Ubisoft criou, depois a história começa a te cativar devagarinho. As DLC's só melhoram o pacote.

This part of the Ubisoft games in undoubtable, and even those with basal scores would confirm it. The problem, however, underlines deep in the whole concept of AC games. The whole stealth, mysterious concept, brotherhood, unity and uniformJust alike any AC game and ubisoft series in general, this game has annually immanent quality of graphics, open world and favourable colorful landscape. This part of the Ubisoft games in undoubtable, and even those with basal scores would confirm it. The problem, however, underlines deep in the whole concept of AC games. The whole stealth, mysterious concept, brotherhood, unity and uniform vision are what made previous parts iconic. Even in Origins, those concepts were far deeper and obvious. This part, however, didn't present any of those things. We see a dark a shadow of what the previous parts were built on. A mercenary that wants to unite with his family and destroy the Cult that is a spoon of tar in that goal, a a hurdle. The plot was, for some moments, pretty captivating, but can we actually call it an AC game?Definetly not. Other than that, the game is extremely long and slow. Some of the missions are typically single-minded and boring, and the plot afterwards gets weird and tedious. The open world, however, as i said previously, is amazing. When Origins first was introduced, it was a breath of fresh air for the series, but the whole Ancient Egypt things didn't seem quite intriguing and sapid. The Ancient Greece is its opposite. Ubisoft did nail to present fascinating depiction of Ancient Greece. Athens, Corinthia..Everything was compelling. Gameplay was pretty average. With new tricks and aptitudes, it did make it less boring and annoying than in Origins, but still far from God of War or Spiderman. Overall, my opinion about this game is pretty mixed and neutral. If you enjoy graphics and open world, i would definetly reccomend it. But if you don't pay much attention to details, then this game is not for you… Expand

Terrible story, terrible voice acting, terrible quest scenerios, everything about this game is just a mess. Everything feels dull, the characters have absolutely no emotions, the facial expressions are 0, mimics 0, reactions 0, the story has 0 impact. Bad, very bad

    The latest addition to the Assassin's Creed franchise is truly a wonder and a fresh take on a stale idea. The excellent execution, gameplay and story is only overshadowed by greedy micro transactions, paid XP and awful optimization.

    While AC: Origins was packed with interesting stories, Odyssey is a generic ’Ubisoft sandbox’ in the worst sense, with hundreds of the same-looking places, dozens of ”kill-fetch” quests and almost zero motivation to grind further.
