Anna’s Quest is a game that has a unique story that gets more complicated as the game goes on, a strong heroine, fun to play, challenging, slightly dark but at the same time has a lot of humor and heart.

Anna’s Quest is an enchanting mélange of superb production quality, engaging gameplay, and a poignant saga of heart and heartbreak that will linger with you long after the adventure is over.

Anna's Quest is yet another surprise of adventure gaming for 2015. It proves to be a solid, pleasant and very satisfying experience, which manages to be placed relatively close to more well-known and vaunted representatives of the category, such as The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 and Dead Synchronicity. Dane Krams and Daedalic Entertainment delivered a remarkable adventure game, filled with clever and imaginative puzzles.

With its peculiar, charming, and ‘fairytale-esque’ ambience, Anna’s Quest manages to create a unique and memorable world all on its own.

Warm atmosphere, imaginative environment and sympathetic character interactions. That and much more offers Anna's Quest – a new adventure with old, but mostly good manners.

Anna’s Quest does in no way stray away from the tried and true adventure formula and doesn’t add anything new to the genre. That’s not to say that it isn’t fun – the story, in its best moments, is quite thrilling and the characters are likeable –, but it isn’t a game that will be remembered for long.

Even if it’s not Daedalic’s greatest work, Anna’s Quest is still a strong entry in their catalogue. [09/2015, p.67]

It might rely too much on its ending, but it does offer an engaging experience with a good story and some clever moments.

Despite boasting a simple and engaging storyline, Anna's Quest can't fully overcome unambitious gameplay and some frustrating design.

And so overall I didn’t much like Anna’s Quest. It’s just so nice and pleasant that it’s boring. That being said, there isn’t any profanity or violence or meanness to be seen, so it’s definitely a family-friendly game. It also appears to be targeted at young girls, and since that’s not the usual audience for games, it could work in the right situation.

Solid but shallow adventure with loads of references to Grimms fairy tales.

The fable where innocence is punished, purity of heart is tested, and good guys strive for victory by all means. [Sept 2015, p.79]

It’s an adventure equivalent of tasteless chewing gum. It works OK as filler, but you will not even remember this game a year later.

What a wonderful adventure game. I've been a little disappointed with some recent adventure games, including most of the recent games fromWhat a wonderful adventure game. I've been a little disappointed with some recent adventure games, including most of the recent games from Daedalic.

Anna's Quest reminds me of why I enjoy adventure games so much. Everything about it is great - a very interesting, unusual story. Excellent graphics and voice acting.

Where adventure games often fail for me is with the puzzles. Either they are too easy or they are tough but nonsensical. Fortunately, Anna's Quest also gets the puzzles right. The first chapter was a bit easy and I thought the puzzles would be too easy. But they gradually got tougher, but they always remained fair. I can't think of a puzzle that was unfair.

An amazing puzzle game with a quite good story. It is very funny and has hard riddles but their solution makes sense.
