Anna is a great game. Beautiful graphics, and a blood-tingling story line. This game will have you playing it for hours. The combination of horror, puzzles, and adventure makes the gameplay great. The scary moments will stay on your mind and keep you on your toes. Theres also 8 different endings to the game depending on what you do and how you do it, so this is one of those games that makeAnna is a great game. Excellent point and click Horror game.
The atmosphere in this game is powerful and has different variations in color and shadows.
Graphics are beautiful and you get really immersed in Anna´s world. The narrative sets many secrets that you have to figure out with analytical methods, in order to tie the loose ends. Very scary in places with the supernatural moments and the intense gloom

A lot of content (8 different endings) and some secret achievements.
Overall, buy it if you like Point and Click Horror adventures with a clear focus in slow burning fear and not annoying jump scares.

From the start this game had hooked me. The soundtrack has to be the best I've heard in any game, only rivaling with Journey. The light colors it chose would mislead anybody into letting their guard down and immerse themselves into the world of Anna, only to find themselves thrust into a nightmare after they open the door to her house.
I myself have not yet completed the game, I'm so

I myself have not yet completed the game, I'm so close but it is a challenge, I'll give it that. However I'm far enough in to give my fair share. I realize most of the negative and mixed reviews come from PC and Mac users, and all I can say is that this game had not been made for either of those platforms. I have it for the PS3 and it works wonderfully for me. Even with the nightmarish realm you enter, the developers have added small bits of beauty, keeping you awe struck throughout your adventure. The game has beautiful twists with this eerie atmosphere, and the cut scenes being time based keep you on your feet.
It is sadly a quite underrated game, one that I would suggest you should play for yourself on a platform it would work best with.

Despite some flaws, Anna: Extended Edition is a pretty good game that I recommend with the reservation that you're willing to put up with either the horrendous DRM of the PC version or the console ports' awful controls. Anna is a classic horror tale about a very dark and twisted version of self-discovery mixed with some truly fascinating real-world mythology. Although it occasionally stumbles in the story-telling department and not all of its game mechanics are introduced to the player -- like, at all -- each of the eight endings are amusing and rewarding to get. It also helps that, while Anna is never a truly terrifying game, it's plenty unsettling. It sets itself apart from being just another Amnesia clone. The absence of a stalker relentlessly pursuing you might seem boring, but the replacement more than excuses its absence. There are some jump scares here, but there are also scares that are subtle and get under your skin in just the right ways. Anna relies on its atmosphere to sell on why things are twisted and off-putting. Part of what sells that atmosphere so effectively is its soundtrack, which stands alongside Lone Survivor as one of the best for an Indie Horror game. It's orchestral, melancholic, and sometimes rocks. Like the rest of the game, it feels very Italian in a good way. Really, that's what makes Anna so good. It feels like it's come from another culture, and it uses the influences of that culture to give you something you haven't tried before.

Again, well worth checking out if you can deal with the caveats of either the PC or console versions.

Expand

The Extended Edition of Anna is a definite improvement over the original, though there’s still nothing that really jumps out for horror fans (except for the now-dangerous poltergeists).

Anna Extended Edition improves the basic title from every point of view. The game is one of the best Horror Adventure available on the market.

In this Extended Edition Dreampainters has given a more professional look to Anna. Now the Italian adventure is also less cryptic and more understandable, although many plot points are still unclear and some puzzles must be solved again with a lot of trial & error.
