Nov 9, 2017Featuring a stunning low-poly art style, a wonderfully well-integrated soundtrack, an ingeniously simple control scheme, an interesting transformation mechanic, and impressively designed temples, AER has a lot going for it. It’s unfortunate that the experience is as short as it is and there is no way to keep track of what’s been seen. A few more environmental puzzles and a simple journal would fix my only complaints about this exploration-heavy title.

Oct 24, 2017AER: Memories of Old is a original game with a combination of walking/flying simulator and puzzles. It's not a easy game, but it has a funny mechanics and beautiful design.
-
Nov 5, 2017A beautiful game with great flying, only held back by confusing interiors and a short duration.
-
Oct 25, 2017AER Memories of Old is a pretty basic adventure title, with simple puzzles and no real action elements. You can expect a relaxing experience spanning a couple of hours, with some intriguing ideas, a distinctive personality and some touching moments.
-
Oct 26, 2017AER memories of Old is a very good little poetic game which will hook you up with it's amazing graphical style and the ability to play as an eagle to improve the freedom feel of it all. Only the shortness of the adventure may stop you from buying this at full blown price.

Oct 23, 2017This game offers an amazing feeling of freedom and puzzles that are intertwined with the settings. Some vague objectives at the beginning can be a nuisance, but it features an amazing visual style.
-
Oct 23, 2017AER is quite original, mixing puzzles and a zen feeling. It's a good journey, but not an unforgettable one.
-
Nov 13, 2017AER is a pretty and charming game, but doesn’t have enough of its own original ideas to feel fresh, and it is plagued by a few flaws that prevent it from being a true standout in the genre of artsy indie exploration games. That said, the experience itself is fun and pleasant, even if it isn’t particularly memorable. If you already like these kinds of games, you’ll enjoy AER, but if you don’t, this isn’t what will make you fall in love with them.
-
Nov 9, 2017The unique low-poly style, soft colors and relaxing music make this amazing puzzle game with its rich history a pleasant game to play. Unfortunately the islands are pretty empty and it is a bit too linear, which is why it feels a bit empty overall.
-
Oct 24, 2017I very much enjoyed my time with AER Memories of Old. It’s not perfect; it’s a little on the short side, its puzzles are a bit lacklustre, and it has an overt religious message — although if anything, that it adds to the world that AER creates. It’s beautifully designed, and if you stop often enough to take in your surroundings, you’ll find a very strong, moving narrative. If nothing else, though, it’s just so much fun to fly around.
-
Oct 23, 2017AER Memories of Old is a well-crafted adventure which leads the player in a charming universe full of myths and stories to discover. Who loves explorative games is in the right place despite some evident cliché which troubles a game that tries to follow the path mark by the Journey-type game in a different way, but fails in some aspects.
-
Oct 23, 2017Aer Memories of Old is a beautiful game. A place to come back from time to time to enjoy a flight. Forgotten Key has created a complex tiny world explained well and full of little secrets but, at the end, it feels small and we want more and more.
-
Oct 23, 2017Transforming into a bird and soaring through skies and between the floating islands of AER Memories of Old is simply fantastic, and you’ll be easily drawn in by its vibrant yet minimalist art style. It doesn’t quite make the best use of the shattered world they’ve created, but for a few hours, it’s a gorgeous game and an intriguing story to explore.
-
Oct 25, 2017It's missing a gripping story.
-
Nov 6, 2017AER Memories of Old knows its limits and doesn’t try to go beyond them, which causes it to fall short in places, leading to simple gameplay and environments. It makes the most of what it has, especially with its visuals, but AER still turns out to be a rather short, shallow game in the end.
-
Oct 23, 2017Beautiful to behold, but gameplay-wise undemanding feel-good escapism with a great sense of freedom that invites you to relax and dream.
-
Dec 11, 2017AER creates a beautiful fantasy world with a wonderful flying mechanic to explore it, but ultimately doesn’t give players much to do besides repetitive platforming puzzles.
-
Oct 23, 2017AER is trying so hard to look like those beloved games from which it is being inspired, but fails to do so. The game is filled with bugs and does not tell us an interesting story all along. Even though some aerial moments are quite a delight, the total lack of wind is incomprehensible, as is the rest of the gameplay. Why would you want to play this? We are still looking for an answer.
