    If you're looking for an accessible RTS that channels the spirit of the original Command & Conquer with cute voxel graphics, retro audio and a chiptune inspired soundtrack by Frank Klepacki, 8-Bit Armies ticks all these boxes. But is it any fun? The single-player campaign is rather forgettable and just like RTS games of old, there really isn't much strategy required to win.     A simple and easy to understand RTS game that is a lot of fun. This game offers a campaign mode with lots of missions to complete and a skirmish mode with a total of 8 players in a match at a time.

    If you need a simple refuge from overly complicated strategy games and you remember Command & Conquer fondly, 8-Bit Armies is a cool little game for you. [07/2016, p.60]

    Petroglyph, the modern maestros of RTS, have created a fun, accessible new entry that is a great way to get into the genre. There isn’t a lot of complexity here but the friendly art style and generous difficulty curve make 8-Bit Armies the perfect RTS for beginners.

    One of the best RTS in recent years shows that simplicity is the power. 8-bit Armies commemorates the first Command & Conquer game, features an addictive gameplay and has a great chance to charm the community.
