A indie rougelike game that grew mostly from its kickstarter following; Two armored characters of Nina and Ace have to clear levels of monsters while platforming and avoiding traps.

Each level is a randomly generated seed with different monsters and environment to work through. Hidden crates with modular upgrades to your characters stats and abilities. Even a unique lab that can offer a secret mod that can totally change how you play.

What this game adds compared to older platformers is the rougelike theme of dying and starting all the way back in the beginning. Each run generates a currency that you can use back in the starting base to permanently upgrade the characters and unlike new mods that could appear in a run. After a few runs you really start to feel the growth of unlocking new upgrades and pushing further and further through the bosses.

With a sequel of 30XX in early access right now, this platformer was a refreshing change of pace and gave a decent challenge. Took me 17 runs in total to reach the final boss and the last level took perfect timing on all movements to excel through all the traps and enemies.

I do have to praise the music and general controls for being brilliant, and it can be fun for at least a little while, but this is a game I'm not gonna remember much. Expand
