Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is a huge package, whatever way you look at it. For newcomers looking for a great party game to accompany Mario Kart World, look no further. For owners of the base game, the new content is enjoyable enough to justify the added cost (especially if you have kids). One of the best Mario Party games just got better.

Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV brings the ultimate party experience to the new console, enhancing the already content-rich base game with innovative Switch 2 features like microphone and camera integration. While the core game's visuals show their age, the "Jamboree TV" expansion shines, offering fresh minigames, new modes like Frenzy to shorten playtimes, and robust multiplayer options for endless fun with friends and family.

Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV gives an already fantastic party game a huge shot in the arm, with a bunch of brilliant Mouse Mode and mic-based games that also allow you to see your big silly face as you play. It's all very knockabout, very easy to use, and very easy to enjoy. With a huge base game packing seven boards and a whole bunch of modes, and the Switch 2's new tech adding to the fun in meaningful ways, this is a thoroughly delightful and totally family-friendly way to party Mushroom Kingdom-style.

Ultimately, Jamboree TV is where the real party is in Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV when it comes to new features tailor-made for the Switch 2.

Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV feels like more than just an expansion to a familiar game. It’s proof that Nintendo builds its consoles with features others may have already explored, yet only Nintendo dares to use them in ways that inspire. More than any technical detail, this experience delivers the pure joy of gaming, no matter your level of experience. Jamboree TV left me thinking about the future and smiling the entire time.

Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV is Nintendo's most complete party game, but debuts on Nintendo Switch 2 with some “buts” and questionable decisions, such as not having technically improved the Switch game or a very limited GameShare option. But make no mistake: it's still the king of the party.

With its update for Nintendo Switch 2, Super Mario Party Jamboree brings more content than ever before to crown itself as the ultimate party game. If you want to get the most out of it, however, you'll need a camera compatible with Nintendo Switch 2. With that, laughs are guaranteed.

I love that Nintendo is upgrading a bunch of their Switch games for their new console and if Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is any indication, we're in for some real delightful treats down the road.

Super Mario Party Jamboree: Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV establishes itself as the definitive version of one of the best games in the series, with a refreshed touch that takes advantage of the new hardware. For those seeking the most complete experience and willing to pay a little extra, this edition deserves a spot in their collection.

The game is an interesting option for Nintendo Switch 2, with new features that improve the original version. There aren’t many, but the minigames that use the microphone, camera, mouse, and HD Rumble of the new Joy-Con 2 show what the console can do and offer fun moments with friends or alone.

Let's start with the premise that Super Mario Party Jamboree is a great, huge game that offers a huge amount of challenges, mini-games, scoreboards, and collectibles, and it comes back on Switch 2 with a new outfit for the occasion. The Jamboree TV is a nice addition, designed to take special advantage of the camera and put a face on all the participants, but also the new Joycon 2 features. The critical point, of course, is the price, certainly not low, but justified in Nintendo's view by the high (and undeniable) quality of the game. Making objective evaluations on the money is always complicated, but from our point of view Super Mario Party Jamboree is a really hilarious and engaging experience, especially if you don't mind Nintendo's usual long-windedness between menus and various skits, including the new Jamboree TV, which doesn't revolutionize the formula, but takes good advantage of the new hardware potential.

Super Mario Party Jamboree lives up to its name in practically every way. It's equal parts lavish and boisterous, offering up a selection of boards with novel and fun gimmicks that make it a constant joy to come back to. Adding a wide variety of ways to play, including heaps of customisable rules, only sweetens the deal. Without a doubt, Super Mario Party Jamboree is Mario Party at its best.

A solid game with the benefits of the original, with the added incentive of having new modes and options to play. Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is the definitive version of the game and is a perfect game to pick up if you didn't get the original on Switch.

With an expanded selection of minigames, new catchy modes and implementation of Switch 2 hardware features, this is the definitive edition of Super Party Mario Jamboree. It brings not only better resolutions or framerate, but nice content additions for long party sessions.

Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition más Jamboree TV proves how to do console upgrades right. Instead of just visual improvements, Nintendo added features that genuinely use the Switch 2's unique capabilities. The camera integration and new modes like Show de Bowser couldn't exist on original hardware, making this a true evolution. Team gameplay and compact matches add real strategic depth beyond cosmetic changes. For regular Mario Party players, the social transformation justifies the upgrade. Seeing real-time reactions creates memorable moments impossible elsewhere in the genre. Main limitation is requiring additional camera hardware, though core experiences work with just the integrated microphone.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is still one of the best Party-Games on Switch and retains this status on Switch 2, because anything that makes the game great is included. The new mode Jamboree TV delivers new things, especially some fresh and exclusive mini games with mouse control or mic support. But that's more like a bonus for fans and nothing that makes the great Jamboree a better game.

Super Mario Party Jamboree TV leverages Nintendo Switch 2’s features to deliver fresh, albeit uneven modes. The mouse mode stands out as particularly fun, while camera and microphone features still require refinement. Despite some confusion regarding content structure, it’s a solid pick if you’re looking to enhance the original experience.

The minigames that take advantage of mouse mode are notable, and we would have liked to see more that took advantage of the camera and microphone. Despite all this, it's a highly recommended game, as if it was already comprehensive, it's even more so now, adding a touch of experimentation and novelty especially suitable for those who haven't tried the game (or want to expand it, which may also be worthwhile). If you want a long-lasting, high-quality party game, this is the spot you should definitely check out.

Perhaps, for reasons of consistency/compatibility with those who don't yet have a Switch 2, Jamboree TV doesn't 'dare' to add too many new minigames, but limits itself to slightly 'revising' the gameplay of existing ones and making a few purely cosmetic additions. The attempt to give the Switch 2 Camera a meaning that isn't just hedonistic for the challengers is commendable, while the Bowser Show part, with its three rhythmic and vocal games in a row, feels like a wasted opportunity. I'm therefore inclined to start from the score that Super Mario Party Jamboree originally received (a solid 9) and make a Solomonic average based on what I would have given to the update alone (7.8), for a total of…

Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV features new modes of play atop an already exhaustive number of mini-games. The game maintains its same strike-rate as well, propelling an already excellent game to new heights.

Jamboree TV lacks a bit of coherence in the overall Mario Party experience but it serves the Switch 2 well in serving up family-friendly options that show off the new machine. Don’t forget that Switch 2’s unique GameShare function lets you connect another Switch 2 or the older Switch console so that up to four players can compete – but requires only one copy of the game.

It’s still a great game – probably the best Mario Party game ever – and you’ll have a blast with the core game whether you’re playing it on Switch 1 or Switch 2, but the $20 upgrade pack that is Jamboree TV is nowhere near as essential.

Classic Mario Party with interesting twists and fun new modes. Jamboree TV on the Switch 2 brings even more entertaining new features, though the base game doesn't benefit from the higher resolution.

The original game remains the best entry in the series but Jamboree TV on its own adds little of value and isn’t worth the upgrade.

Super Mario Jamboree arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 in its definitive version: improved from a technical and gameplay perspective, the base game is enriched by its television counterpart, a set of more movement-oriented mini-games that take advantage of the new technology offered by Switch 2. More quantity, with the same high quality thanks to a Jamboree that less than a year ago established itself as a great episode, a grand return of the 1998 saga. If the goal of Jamboree TV is to sell cameras, Nintendo has chosen the ideal exponent: the ability to actively engage the player in a colourful and fun party game is unique and only possible through video capture of the room and players. It works, creating truly hilarious moments, with the microphone and mouse completing the picture of innovation, allowing for the execution of well-designed mini-games that are never too difficult and perfect for integrating non-players or casual players.

Super Mario Party Jamboree remains a solid game, and I feel like Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is a natural pick-up for families. If someone is in a home with multiple players who own both Switch or Switch 2 systems, it could be great for game nights. However, if you’re going to go with one Switch or Switch 2 system for a group session or plan to play only online, I think you might be fine sticking with the original game.

There's no getting around it: Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is the best way to enjoy the latest iteration of the party franchise featuring the heroic plumber in overalls. The base game returns in its complete version, enhanced by the Jamboree TV expansion, which dramatically increases the amount of content included in the package. Not all of the new features seemed particularly impressive, but all things considered, it's still one of the best party games on the market.

Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV takes the beloved boardgame series to new heights, emphasising the Switch 2's focus on social play while making the most of the new camera and the Joy Con 2’s great mouse controls. Not all of the DLC's content are essential, relying on gimmicks that you’ll quickly tire of, but as a whole package, this is a great next step for Mario Party.

Super Mario Party Jamboree Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is a clever way to add fresh content to a recent multiplayer favourite, without coercing anyone to buy the more expensive edition just because they’re playing on Switch 2. For most players, I’d recommend buying the cheaper base game first. It includes some of the best Mario Party boards and mini-games in years and it runs well on Switch 2 without the upgrade. When you’re ready for more – and have enough Joy-Con 2s for four players – kick-on with Jamboree TV as DLC for a more precise afterparty.

It goes without saying how much we recommend Super Mario Party Jamboree, as you could check out in our original coverage. This is a wonderful installment of this beloved series, one that refreshes it with truly brilliant and innovative ideas, yet is also very aware of what has always made this franchise so special. Is Jamboree TV worth paying for? If you have someone to play with, the answer would be a resounding yes. Returning to this title that has given us so many laughs will be a true delight. If, on the other hand, you're not sure who you could take advantage of all the new features with, it's best to think twice, because its price, as we already told you, is not low. Of course, if you didn't give it a try on the original Switch, now's an unbeatable time to continue developing your Switch 2.

Is Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV worth the cost of the upgrade? Sure, if you can afford it. Without the camera you’ll be missing out on some fun features and minigames, and if you’re playing with a group of four then you’ll need an extra pair of Switch 2 Joy-Cons instead of using your old pair for the original Switch. Otherwise, expect to be missing out on a large chunk of content.

Though Mario Party Jamboree’s Switch 2 additions are of mixed quality, its best additions, which take advantage of the Switch 2 hardware, undoubtedly elevate what’s already one of the best series entries.

Outside of the Switch 2 Welcome Tour app, Jamboree TV is the most comprehensive demonstration of the Switch 2’s capabilities we’ve seen yet. The mic, the camera, and the mouse controls are all thoroughly incorporated into the game. I had a harder time with some systems, but I can still grasp what Nintendo is reaching for here. Children and the similarly flexible/exuberant will latch onto the Bowser Live segment, while crustier gamers (such as myself) will appreciate the Carnival Coaster. Honestly, there’s a good chance you’ll love all of it, even if I didn’t. If you’re looking to dive into the latest generation of Mario Party games, the Jamboree TV Switch 2 bundle is the perfect way to do so.
  41. 70
My experience with Super Mario Party Jamboree is likely an uncommon one for some reviewers, but especially as the Switch 2 ages, it probably won’t be completely unique. Unless you expect to get a lot of mileage out of the specific Mario Party additions to the game, including the goofy camera support, faster Frenzy mode, and novel Tag Team mode, you’re likely better off just playing the original Switch 1 version. The barrier for entry for the Switch 2 Jamboree TV content is very high and while I’ve been digging most of what’s added to it, the new additions are on the whole middling. This might be the most fun I’ve had with Mario Party since the Wii, but I also would much rather have a brand new Mario Party game on Switch 2 than this weird frankenstein.

Mostly, I am just happy that there is a good Mario Party available in the Switch 2’s launch window. It’s not a game I see myself booting up on my own, but as a means to get a party going with players of all skill levels, I am glad I have it on the metaphorical shelf.
  43. Jul 30, 2025
    70
Jamboree TV is a very good addition to Super Mario Party Jamboree, but that doesn't justify a port with no improvements to 70% of its content. Judging it as a new game, it needs more new content and for that content to be more accessible to everyone.
  44. 70
All of this leaves me in a bit of a conundrum. On the one hand, Mario Party Jamboree is the best thing that has happened to my favourite Nintendo multiplayer properties. On the other hand, this… this was just not Nintendo’s finest hour. A clunky mess of a package that seems not to have been thought through, coupled with an infuriating limitation on online play really lets it down. Also, when you think about it, most of the really good stuff was in the Switch original, and while Jamboree TV adds more, it doesn’t add anything that tops what we already have. Overall, the disappointment of the Switch 2 launch window, despite being essential if you haven’t played it before.
  45. Jul 28, 2025
    70
Super Mario Party Jamboree TV doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it polishes the party nicely. The new minigames and Coaster mode shine. The heavy camera reliance won’t be for everyone though. Still, it’s classic Mario Party fun with a flashy twist.
  46. Jul 28, 2025
    70
Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV shakes up the Mario Party formula with additional mini-games, enjoyable camera support and the return of team play. The good is undermined, however, by splitting the game between the untouched original release and the improved Jamboree TV portion. It is a shame as Jamboree TV could be the definitive release with better considered UX. As a result of this, it comes down to whether you feel the additional mini-games and modes are worth the upgrade price or if the feature-packed original release will suffice.
  47. Jul 25, 2025
    70
Jamboree TV brings some fun new Switch 2 features to an already great party game. The motion-controlled mini-games and all-new Frenzy Mode are definite highlights, but the clunky game structure and camera-based Bowser mini-games don’t quite hit the mark.
  48. Jul 23, 2025
    70
The basic premise has remained the same, and this is one of the better entries, although it can get boring and isn’t always fair, while Jamboree TV doesn’t really add much.
  49. Jul 23, 2025
    70
Super Mario Party Jamboree is still the best entry in the series, but the new content of the Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV re-release adds frustrating limitations and strange design decisions to what was otherwise a polished, customizable experience. Its camera-focused content is pretty forgettable, but there are a few worthwhile additions like the great mouse control minigames and interesting new rulesets. However, it’s hard to enjoy them to the fullest due to how this content is divided across two separate versions that don’t talk to each other at all. Core features like achievements, unlockables, minigame records, and even rulesets are locked behind the Switch 1 version, which shockingly got zero performance or resolution updates like the Jamboree TV portion did.
  50. Jul 23, 2025
    70
Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV introduces a collection of fun new rule sets, but is brought down a bit due to the camera and microphone games that, for a title released in 2025, should work better than they do. That said, slapping your live reactions into your Mario Party games adds an undeniable layer of goofy entertainment that the series is known for.
  51. Jul 23, 2025
    70
With Jamboree TV, the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Super Mario Party Jamboree gains even more wacky, if shallow, ways to enjoy multiplayer mini-game mayhem.
  52. Jul 23, 2025
    70
This upgraded edition features sharp 4K visuals and makes smart use of Switch 2 hardware like the camera and Joy-Con 2. New modes such as Bowser Live and Carnival Coaster are fun but feel more like tech demos due to their lack of depth. The core Mario Party gameplay is still strong, with new team-based and chaos-driven rule sets adding variety. It's a great choice for newcomers, but returning players may find limited value without full hardware support.
  53. Jul 23, 2025
    65
Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV offers a few new diversions wrapped in a neat presentation that makes it a compelling enough upgrade for existing owners. But for anyone jumping in at full wack, the slight visual edge and mixed bag of camera-based minigames don’t necessarily make it an essential purchase over the much cheaper and perfectly playable Switch 1 version.
  54. Aug 19, 2025
    60
If you never played the original, my advice is to try it out before buying the upgraded version, because most likely that the base content here will be more than enough.
  55. Aug 18, 2025
    60
As an update package, the Switch 2 Edition isn't all that special. It doesn't technically improve anything other than the Jamboree TV portion, and the game modes only offer short-term fun before they start repeating themselves. The best part of Mario Party, in my opinion, is the minigames, both in the entire package and in this update. But would I pay 20 euros for them? Maybe not.
  56. Aug 7, 2025
    60
Super Mario Party Jamboree for Switch 2 is a missed opportunity. While the core game remains a fantastic party classic, the new Jamboree TV expansion undermines the experience. Instead of one cohesive package, you're left with two separate apps that don't communicate with each other. If you already own Jamboree, there's little reason to upgrade – and if you don't, you're better off grabbing the cheaper original version.
  57. 60
In principle, the Switch 2 upgrade has a lot to offer, but little of it leaves a lasting impression. It feels more like a technology showcase than a focus on new content that fans really want.
  58. Jul 30, 2025
    60
Super Mario Party Jamboree: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV remains a fun and engaging party game, now featuring more minigames and improved visuals tailored for the new Switch 2. However, to fully enjoy the experience, players will need to purchase additional accessories not included with the console. This means an extra investment on top of the game’s $79.99 price tag.
  59. Jul 23, 2025
    60
I hope Nintendo handles future Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + New Content releases in a more organised and organic way. It’s overly complicated to play through the different modes, with caveats everywhere, which means some modes don’t get the proper Switch 2 Edition treatment. Mario Party superfans will enjoy the new modes for the main board games, but the Jamboree TV additions—aside from the mouse games—are a bit average. Jamboree was a solid and complete package, and this just splits it all up and breaks the flow.
  60. Jul 23, 2025
    60
So it might look like I'm nit-picking here, but coming from Super Mario Party Jamboree, you expect greatness and maximum care. And don't get me wrong, this doesn't make the original game any worse. You should still definitely buy it on Switch 2 if you never got it on the original system, as it remains the king of parties, and even if I'm telling you that you'll enjoy it more with a plugged-in camera, and that the Mouse mini-games are solid additions, Jamboree TV as a next-gen upgrade lands like a bad roll.
  61. Jul 23, 2025
    60
While the base game of Super Mario Party Jamboree remains a must-have, the Jamboree TV expansion for Switch 2 is take it or leave it. For the price, the new Carnival Coaster mode and mouse minigames are a fun time, and the new rulesets for Mario Party are a welcome inclusion. Alas, Bowser Live struggles to make good use of the camera and microphone, CameraPlay is only worth it if you have friends or family to play with online, and the increased resolution is not supported with any of the original side modes. Just one new game board would have added so much value, but Jamboree TV doesn’t even have that.
  62. Jul 24, 2025
    58
Super Mario Party Jamboree is still the same friendship-ending game you may or may not have loved a couple of months back, and Jamboree TV sprinkles in a few bright ideas. Frenzy Rules and mouse-control minigames are very fun. The problem is that everything else feels like a tech showcase in search of a reason to exist, and the awkward separation from the base game doesn’t help its case. What’s worse, there isn’t even a new game board! When the highlight of a $20 add-on is a handful of quick novelties and minigames that force you to buy a peripheral, it’s hard to imagine this being worth picking over other party games.

Super Mario Party Jamboree: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV combines one of the best Mario Party games ever with a mediocre collection of updates that feel like gimmicks for the most part. The puzzling decision to split updates across the Switch and Switch 2 content only adds to the overall feeling that this is a channel I can't recommend tuning into unless you're the biggest of Mario Party fans.
  64. Jul 23, 2025
    50
Super Mario Party Jamboree's Nintendo Switch 2 Edition adds very little to the already incredible base game, and the Jamboree TV expansion is filled with gimmicky, lackluster game modes with the occasional nugget of gold thrown in.

Jamboree TV offers some more and varied uses of the Switch 2's unique features with a charming game show format that will be fun for breaking out at parties. Its new content, however, doesn't integrate with the base game and makes for an awfully pricey package if you don't already own the original game.

For $20, Mario Party Jamboree's Switch 2 mode doesn't feel like anything essential. Jamboree is a great Mario Party game already, and the improvements -- including being able to Game Share to other local Switches for multi-screen multiplayer -- might be fun to try.
  2. Jul 23, 2025
The upgrade winds up falling on the inessential side – especially since it misses a chance to add some new maps or characters – but the full package is one of the Switch 2’s smartest value propositions at present. Super Mario Party Jamboree now stands as a robust party game that makes up for its shortcomings in sheer variety. Sure, Carnival Coaster isn’t something I’ll want to play for an hour at a time, but it works as one small attraction in a larger amusement park. I hope that its successor puts a bit more work into the best rides of the bunch, because there’s a whole playground of potential here.
