Jun 17, 2025With a slew of destinations, contracts, and targets to entertain you, HITMAN World of Assassination - Signature Edition provides hours and hours of top-notch sandbox stealth gameplay so get to it and start killing, chums.
-
Jun 17, 2025The core game, its story and worlds are absolutely worth exploring, but the Nintendo Switch 2 version is heavily compromised. Perhaps it could be more effective to complete this game and mission while donning the guise of another games console.
-
Jun 16, 2025A truly amazing collection of games that suffers at the hands of a mediocre port. But at heart, Hitman is still just as thrilling and addictive as it’s ever been.
-
Jun 17, 2025Hitman World of Assassination comes to Nintendo Switch 2 with some problems that prevent it from displaying its full potential, such as the inconsistent frame rate, even if it comes without significant cuts and with an superb visual quality, especially noticeable in portable mode. Hopefully they fix it soon, because it's a great game.
-
Jul 31, 2025Hitman: World of Assassination – Signature Edition packs immense replayability and extensive content into Nintendo Switch 2, delivering a superb handheld experience. However, technical shortcomings, particularly frame rate inconsistencies in docked mode, slightly tarnish an otherwise exceptional collection. A definitive edition for both newcomers and longtime fans.

Jul 21, 2025Despite some issues, it’s fantastic to see HITMAN World of Assassination available on the Switch 2. This release would simply not have been possible on the original Switch and is an excellent example of what its successor can offer. These are wonderful games and while this may not be the best version of them, their flaws are easily overlooked if this is the only way you have to play these games or if you really want to play them on a portable. That said, if the plan is to play mostly on your TV, I’d consider any of the other systems you can play these games on first.
-
Jul 1, 2025Hitman World of Assassination is a rich and highly entertaining package with dozens of hours of content. However, the Switch 2 version suffers from technical limitations and a constant online requirement, which significantly hinders the experience when playing on the go.
-
Jun 20, 2025HITMAN World of Assassination – Signature Edition is perhaps thus named because it literally requires your signature to play. Once you’re past that and a few other technical and online issues, however, you’ll get a ton of content with countless ways to work through it. Make room for the 60GB install file, because you’ll want to keep this game around for a very long time.
-
Jun 17, 2025Hitman: World of Assassination – Signature Edition delivers a robust stealth-sandbox experience on the Switch 2, packed with content and fully portable. However, the absence of docked VRR support and missing Switch-specific features like gyro aiming or mouse compatibility is a letdown. Still, for fans or those without access to other platforms, it remains a compelling option.
-
Jun 12, 2025Aside from an issue with characters clipping through walls, Hitman: World of Assassination performs really well on Nintendo Switch 2, making it a must-own for existing fans and an approachable entry point for new players with all of the freedom it affords you.
-
Jun 10, 2025Although the constant need to be connected to the internet feels at odds with the Switch 2’s nature, when you manage to stay connected to Hitman: World of Assassination, it can be just as enjoyable here as it was before. With it now in its fifth year of regular content roadmaps and monthly updates, it’s got me excited for IO Interactive’s upcoming 007: First Light, which will be a perfect fit for the studio.
-
Jun 9, 2025Hitman World of Assassination – Signature Edition is a decent port of an incredible stealth game, bringing hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of entertainment to Nintendo Switch 2 in a very well-rounded package. Performance could be better, and there are a few bugs in need of patches, but it's nevertheless a joy to pick up and play and almost impossible to put down.
-
Jun 15, 2025Hitman: World of Assassination - Signature Edition is a brave and generous adaptation in content, but with clear technical compromises. It performs better on handheld than in dock mode, and the experience is marred by online dependency and a lack of control improvements. Still, it remains a valid (and very fun) way to enjoy the stylish stealth and assassination trilogy.
-
Aug 3, 2025HITMAN World of Assassination is a great game that can finally be properly enjoyed on a Nintendo console. Hundreds of hours of gameplay are spent on staying connected to the internet and suffering through a few minor bugs that, in theory, are already being addressed. It's definitely a title worth checking out; perhaps this way, even the most skeptical will understand why Agent 47 is a gaming legend.
-
Jun 17, 2025In the end, Hitman: World of Assassination — Signature Edition is a solid port of a very impressive game. The game is dense in that it may be difficult, and you'll encounter lots of trial and error, but that's balanced out by the fact that each level can be completed in a nearly unlimited number of ways. The presentation may not have a solid frame rate, but it certainly looks and sounds nicer than expected from a portable console. The lack of complete content on the system is a disappointment, as is the use of a Game—Key cart versus a regular one (considering the game's size), but the mostly online—only requirement for a single—player game makes this a less desirable platform to play on, unless you can ensure that you have an online connection at all times and situations. Still, if this is the only system you have, this isn't a bad way to play a game meant for those with a vicious but creative spirit in them.
-
Jul 16, 2025Hitman: World of Assassination delivers easily some of the most entertaining gameplay of all titles released on Nintendo Switch 2 during its launch window. For all its ridiculously hilarious possibilities that go almost as far as imagination will allow for, this may well be the ideal recommendation for those after a solo game that will provide dozens of hours of enjoyment up until the next big release on the system. The one big caveat, however, is the online requirement that causes halts and crashes, and locks out a large chunk of content. It is a huge blemish on what is a cracker of a package.
-
Jul 3, 2025An Impressive looking port with disappointing performance on the Switch 2 and an always online requirement, which takes away from what otherwise would have been a must recommend.
-
Jun 30, 2025Hitman: World of Assassination on Nintendo Switch 2 delivers an impressive stealth experience, bringing the complete trilogy to handheld and docked play without relying on cloud streaming. With strong performance, expansive replay value, and well-optimized controls, it's a solid port with only minor visual compromises. Whether you're a longtime fan or a newcomer, this version offers a satisfying way to experience Agent 47’s globe-trotting missions on the go.
-
Jun 27, 2025Overall, Hitman is a solid game on Switch 2. It’s still the game you know and love performing as you’d hope, but with the added novelty of being on a console/portable hybrid like the Switch 2. However, its reliance on being always online, lackluster support for Switch 2’s features, and general lack of options bring it down quite a bit. If you just want to be able to play Hitman on your couch or in bed on a portable device without much care for a touch screen or gyro aiming, by all means, give this a go. It’s a showcase of the Switch 2’s power and capabilities, but not necessarily its features, for better or worse.
-
Jun 23, 2025Hitman World of Assassination Signature Edition offers fantastic value, but it is hard to recommend at full price right now, given the unstable performance. A 30 frames per second cap would help a lot, but even with performance issues aside, the online focus is a bit of an annoyance when playing on a portable system. As someone who has enjoyed the three Hitman games that are now part of Hitman World of Assassination Signature Edition enough to buy them on multiple platforms, I’m glad to see it finally arrive in a good-looking version on Nintendo Switch 2 content complete, but it really needs some patches to make it an easy recommendation.
-
Jun 20, 2025There’s no question that this is a great game, but the problem is that this is not the ideal way to experience it. The frame rate is uneven and while this isn’t a straight action game there’s a constant sense that it’s only barely managing to work on the Switch 2. The occasionally blurry visuals are also less impressive than other launch ports and while some of that may be fixed with a patch, it’s clear this is a fairly compromised port.
-
Jun 17, 2025An impressive package on Switch 2 – especially in handheld mode – but inconsistent performance in TV mode holds it back from being the definitive portable experience it could have been.
-
Jun 6, 2025Hitman World of Assassination - Signature Edition is a stunning collection of games that sees Agent 47 at his absolute best. With multiplayer aspects woven seamlessly and smartly into the mix, tons of ways to approach every mission, and some of the best level design in the biz, this is a bonafide belter, no questions asked. However, this Switch 2 port — as things stand at launch — does need some work to fix its stuttering issues, especially in docked mode, as they are just a little too notable for comfort. Still highly playable, but with some performance problems, then. Let's hope we see improvements in the form of a patch or two ASAP.
