The core game, its story and worlds are absolutely worth exploring, but the Nintendo Switch 2 version is heavily compromised. Perhaps it could be more effective to complete this game and mission while donning the guise of another games console.

A truly amazing collection of games that suffers at the hands of a mediocre port. But at heart, Hitman is still just as thrilling and addictive as it’s ever been.

Hitman World of Assassination comes to Nintendo Switch 2 with some problems that prevent it from displaying its full potential, such as the inconsistent frame rate, even if it comes without significant cuts and with an superb visual quality, especially noticeable in portable mode. Hopefully they fix it soon, because it's a great game.

Hitman: World of Assassination – Signature Edition packs immense replayability and extensive content into Nintendo Switch 2, delivering a superb handheld experience. However, technical shortcomings, particularly frame rate inconsistencies in docked mode, slightly tarnish an otherwise exceptional collection. A definitive edition for both newcomers and longtime fans.

Despite some issues, it’s fantastic to see HITMAN World of Assassination available on the Switch 2. This release would simply not have been possible on the original Switch and is an excellent example of what its successor can offer. These are wonderful games and while this may not be the best version of them, their flaws are easily overlooked if this is the only way you have to play these games or if you really want to play them on a portable. That said, if the plan is to play mostly on your TV, I’d consider any of the other systems you can play these games on first.

Hitman World of Assassination is a rich and highly entertaining package with dozens of hours of content. However, the Switch 2 version suffers from technical limitations and a constant online requirement, which significantly hinders the experience when playing on the go.

HITMAN World of Assassination – Signature Edition is perhaps thus named because it literally requires your signature to play. Once you’re past that and a few other technical and online issues, however, you’ll get a ton of content with countless ways to work through it. Make room for the 60GB install file, because you’ll want to keep this game around for a very long time.

Hitman: World of Assassination – Signature Edition delivers a robust stealth-sandbox experience on the Switch 2, packed with content and fully portable. However, the absence of docked VRR support and missing Switch-specific features like gyro aiming or mouse compatibility is a letdown. Still, for fans or those without access to other platforms, it remains a compelling option.

Aside from an issue with characters clipping through walls, Hitman: World of Assassination performs really well on Nintendo Switch 2, making it a must-own for existing fans and an approachable entry point for new players with all of the freedom it affords you.

Although the constant need to be connected to the internet feels at odds with the Switch 2’s nature, when you manage to stay connected to Hitman: World of Assassination, it can be just as enjoyable here as it was before. With it now in its fifth year of regular content roadmaps and monthly updates, it’s got me excited for IO Interactive’s upcoming 007: First Light, which will be a perfect fit for the studio.

Hitman World of Assassination – Signature Edition is a decent port of an incredible stealth game, bringing hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of entertainment to Nintendo Switch 2 in a very well-rounded package. Performance could be better, and there are a few bugs in need of patches, but it's nevertheless a joy to pick up and play and almost impossible to put down.

Hitman: World of Assassination - Signature Edition is a brave and generous adaptation in content, but with clear technical compromises. It performs better on handheld than in dock mode, and the experience is marred by online dependency and a lack of control improvements. Still, it remains a valid (and very fun) way to enjoy the stylish stealth and assassination trilogy.

HITMAN World of Assassination is a great game that can finally be properly enjoyed on a Nintendo console. Hundreds of hours of gameplay are spent on staying connected to the internet and suffering through a few minor bugs that, in theory, are already being addressed. It's definitely a title worth checking out; perhaps this way, even the most skeptical will understand why Agent 47 is a gaming legend.

In the end, Hitman: World of Assassination — Signature Edition is a solid port of a very impressive game. The game is dense in that it may be difficult, and you'll encounter lots of trial and error, but that's balanced out by the fact that each level can be completed in a nearly unlimited number of ways. The presentation may not have a solid frame rate, but it certainly looks and sounds nicer than expected from a portable console. The lack of complete content on the system is a disappointment, as is the use of a Game—Key cart versus a regular one (considering the game's size), but the mostly online—only requirement for a single—player game makes this a less desirable platform to play on, unless you can ensure that you have an online connection at all times and situations. Still, if this is the only system you have, this isn't a bad way to play a game meant for those with a vicious but creative spirit in them.
