    This game is quite simply legendary. Everything works together in a beatifull whole. Honestly, i would recomend the 3ds version because it's way better looking but if you want to play the original, you shouldn't be disapointed. The combat is not the best but is not really important.     It is really impresive how this videogame in the early 1998, wrote the rules of how should the adventure open world games. Amazing music, charismatic characters and great scenarios (Still with the polygonal graphics back there).

    This is by far the best game i have ever played. Temples are all memorable ( specially Water one). The soundtrack is amazing, the graphics back then were amazing, clearly the best title of the franschise for me. Back then, you just had to feel it ( NO internet for solutions back then , really enjoyable gameplay )

    I loved it when I was a kid and I have passed this game on to my kids. This game is my childhood and part of who I am today. Do the right thing, rise against oppression and injustice, go out of your way to help others, save your princess.

    Yup, well deserving all the high scores, especially considering the year it came out. I played it during 2000s and while the mechanics and graphics were already pretty dated then, the plot, world and atmosphere of the game made it a memorable experience and a great adventure.

    The best game ive ever played and ive played many games. Masterpiece. From start to finish i loved ever aspec of it sure by today's standards so people may not love it but for what it started and how it still impacts game almost 20 years later is a testament to its legacy.

    Ocarina of Time is perhaps my favorite game of all time. The story, characters, scenery, music, just everything is amazing. The first time I left the Kokiri forest and stepped out onto Hyrule field, and the amazing music started playing, I knew this game would be one of my favorites. This game is the closest to perfection as any game has ever come.

    This and Majora's Mask are two of my all time favorite games. I like Majora's Mask slightly more, because of the overall tone of the game, but there's not a single bad thing I can say about either of them. I'm glad I got to grow up playing these N64 classics.

    Its easy to critiscize this game in this day and age, when others have had the good fortune to benefit from its trailblazing. Ocarina of Time was and is an experience you will not soon forget. It showed the player how these worlds could transcend just being a "game". This was the great epic fantasy of my childhood. Can't recommend it enough to those who for some reason have not played through it.

    It is easily one of the greatest games of all time, I loved the games soundtrack especially Zelda's Lullaby and Lost Woods and Gerudo Valley, It had an amazing story, Amazing Locations, Great Gameplay, Great Graphics and Visuals, Memorable Characters, And It is the best game on the N64 and will still remain as one of the greatest games of all time

    Playing this game is extremely fun. You get a sense of excitement every time you enter a dungeon, and the special items in every dungeon are extremely rewarding. You get a sense of achievement every time you do any puzzle. The story line is also pretty good. Not to mention the side quests, perfect for completionists.

In no other game does he mature in the same way he does here. We literally play out the transformation from boy to man as his quest develops and there is constantly an emotive power behind his budding maturity as a hero. His growth from a scared little kid into a brave warrior reflects the epic-ness of the game as it spans worlds and times. We can't help but root for him, not just because we are playing him but because he earns our admiration by consistently bearing the weight of the world on his very young shoulders. We feel satisfied when we've finally finished the quest and witnessed Link complete his coming-of-age journey as a fully-accomplished hero.

Leaving his old life behind, he sacrifices everything, even his childhood (which is, albeit, eventually restored) in his endeavours to succeed. He is expected to repeatedly put his faith in the strangers he encounters along the way, strangers who provide him with vital direction on his quest, which he does without question. Ocarina of Time emits this grand aura of good versus evil. Aided by a brilliant narrative with an unescapable sense of dread, there is an impression that Link is part of something bigger than himself, and it adds gravity to his journey and emphasises his hero status even further. Consequently he becomes a symbol for everything he is fighting for.

    I would really like to write to post tonnes of MB to demonstrate the greatness of OOT. It's just simply pointless. The game laid all the foundations for the best representatives of 3D adventure, open-world and action genres. I'm astounded, that things I deemed modern and thought-through in top games of today, were all created under one title 20 -- years -- ago!!!

Navi is a little annoying piece of garbage and I was happy when she left. You get Epona way too late, being a child without her is too tedious. Saria was also annoying. Overworld progression is way too obtuse. Who would think to feed a fish to Jabu-Jabu or play Saria's song to Darunia? And the Song of Storms on that tree for the golden skulltula? Half of the game makes no sense. Every other 3D Zelda is leagues better than this game.

The game perfectly mixes action, adventure and logic, creating a union that is so perfect that you never get bored. Very current graphics, even if 20 years have passed, and fluid.     Best. Game. Ever. All else has been said. I've played it twice on the N64 and the 3DS. I also have the gamecube version. It still makes me happy just to walk around this Hyrule every now and then, It has the best soudtrack ever in a videogame, and the gameplay still holds to this day. Even if it is a bit dated. Their design is awesome and everyone has got other things. Sometimes you have to find the way to a dungeon through a desert, sometimes you must find an item as a child to master the dungeon as an adult and many, many more. This game is fascinating with his secrets, his rich details and amazing gameplay. This is why this game was never boring to me. I could play it many times without saying some day: I'm fiinished, i've done all in this game,. There is nothing more to find."
    Some boss fights were very fresh and amazing while playing the game, just like for example Phantom Ganon, Twinrova or even Ganondorf.
    But there where also boring bosses with only one scheme and easy to kill like Bongo Bongo or Morpha.
    I would also like to get more story after collecting the three Holy Stones. It looked like: do the dungeons, get the amulets and we'll se what happens. It would be nice if there would be more story and side missions between the later dungeons.

    All in all The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is an amazing game. You just have to play it. Great story, awesome world with uncountable secrets and phenomenal gameplay. Maybe it would be even better for me if i had played it in 1998, when it was realeased.

    Childhood memories. This game had everything, one of the best storys, a beautiful open-world and for the time it came out it looked stunning. The dungeons were perfect, a great mix between hard and easy, frustrating but giving a feeling of happiness after you beat them. For me one of the best games ever.

    This has been my favorite game since I played it for the first time. The music is amazing, the gameplay is immersive and varied, there are great puzzles and many side quests... there's good reason why this is consistently rated among the best games every made.

    Ocarina of Time is probably the most perfect Zelda game that is ever going to exist, and one of the best games ever made. It's a flawless adventure game that takes you on a legendary journey through an amazing fantasy world that has been masterfully built despite all the limitations of the system at the time. A game way ahead of its time and still worth playing and replaying to this day.

    Such a huge game for it's time. Obviously it hasn't aged perfectly however it fully deserved every bit of credit for how inspiring it was. I still turn on my N64 and listen to the title screen some nights to hear that soundtrack play.. it's beautiful.

    This is the most broken game i have ever played...In A Good Way, I Speedrun This S***. Great game, Great story, Still my favorite out of all the Zelda games. Amazing Soundtrack, Gameplay Mechanics are old but gold! Graphics are Old, but who cares. Awesome Title!

    The first game that brought me true happiness. I remember being 9 years old and loving this game. Now I’m 31. Amazing amazing experience. Especially in the 90’s but it holds up in my opinion.

    I am one of the lucky ones. I played this game in my twenties when it first came out on the N64. I knew very little about it before playing and it was one of the greatest gaming experiences I have ever had. I was totally absorbed in it and played as much as could until I beat it.

Wait until the remaster comes out (if it ever does). No matter how awesome a game was back in '99, it most likely will not meet your expectations after reading all of these reviews - unless you have a penchant for old games. However, if Nintendo does a remaster, make sure you are first in line for it!

    From story, to puzzles, to dungeons, to music, this game had it all. It gave all of us a look at where the gaming industry could go and I am thankful I had the opportunity to be in the right place at the right time!    … Expand

    In it's twentieth anniversary, It still is the best gaming experience I ever had with a game, maybe BOTW came close to that sense of exploration, but this is the peak of video game art. The game excels in everything it tries to achieve gameplay, design, music, etc. You could write dozens of books about why it is so good, but it's better to experience the game by yourself.
