    Such a huge game for it's time. Obviously it hasn't aged perfectly however it fully deserved every bit of credit for how inspiring it was. I still turn on my N64 and listen to the title screen some nights to hear that soundtrack play.. it's beautiful.

    O que mais chama atenção são as "cutscenes" que parecem que foram feitas com bastante amor. A criatividade com que foi projetada cada "dungeon" do jogo é outro fator positivo. Apesar de tudo, não creio que seja o melhor jogo de todos os tempos. Atualmente, existem diversos jogos que superam.

    The first game that brought me true happiness. I remember being 9 years old and loving this game. Now I’m 31. Amazing amazing experience. Especially in the 90’s but it holds up in my opinion.

    I am one of the lucky ones. I played this game in my twenties when it first came out on the N64. I knew very little about it before playing and it was one of the greatest gaming experiences I have ever had. I was totally absorbed in it and played as much as could until I beat it.

    OoT revolutionized the entire gaming industry and I can happily say I was there when it happened. For those    I am one of the lucky ones.     OoT revolutionized the entire gaming industry and I can happily say I was there when it happened. For those who haven't played it, I'd say don't. Wait until the remaster comes out (if it ever does). No matter how awesome a game was back in '99, it most likely will not meet your expectations after reading all of these reviews - unless you have a penchant for old games. However, if Nintendo does a remaster, make sure you are first in line for it!

    From story, to puzzles, to dungeons, to music, this game had it all. It gave all of us a look at where the gaming industry could go and I am thankful I had the opportunity to be in the right place at the right time!    … Expand

In my opinion Ocarina of Time if it's one of the titles that I could play for being a very complete game; graphically is great for the console and the era, its gameplay between control and mechanics is very fun (puzzles, combat, exploration, etc.), the plot may seem simple but it's loaded with the drama and feeling necessary for us to care and enjoyIt's said that it's the best video game.     Ocarina of Time is considered by many to be the greatest video game ever made. I first played this title over 15 years after it came out. It was not my first Zelda game, nor did I grow up playing this game. Thus, I had zero nostalgia for this game and nothing but high expectations from repeatedly being told that this was the peak gaming experience of all time.

    The story, feels familiar and follows the basic Zelda formula (hero learns of danger to the world, does some dungeons, something drastic changes in the world, Zelda is a captured by Gannon, hero frees her, etc.) however at this point said formula was still new. There is just enough story to keep the player invested in the world and its characters, but so much that it becomes the focus of this game. Instead the game chooses to be about adventure and exploration, a goal it accomplishes masterfully in a variety of ways.

    First, the game’s level design is fantastic. Each dungeon has a unique theme and even those with similar themes (i.e. The Great Deku Tree and Forest Temple) have vastly different mechanics that makes each dungeon a unique experience. The puzzles are clever, but not stupid, and the Ocarina is a fantastic tool to solve such puzzles. The bosses for the most part are fun (a few seem like item sponges). The character encountered in each of the game’s areas feel relatable and the world feels alive (except when its not supposed to).

    The music in this game is superb and the music also conveys important information to the player such as when to prepare for danger and when certain enemies are in the area.

    The exploration in this game also feels fantastic. Although Hyrule field pales in comparison to many modern open worlds, it was not only revolutionary for the time, but is still fun to explore. The world and each dungeon is full of hidden secrets that give Link optional upgrades to his gear, health bar, etc. The game rewards exploration, but does not require the player to run around the world interacting with everything until they are able to move on.

    The combat was also not only revolutionary but is still present in many of today’s games. Dark Souls and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey borrow Ocarina’s Z-targeting lock on combat system that made combat in three dimensions satisfying to participate in.

    Overall, Ocarina is a masterpiece that was not only revolutionary for its time, but still holds up to this day as one of the greatest games of all time. It is a must play for anyone who enjoys video games at all. It might not be your favorite game, but it will most definitely be worth your time.    … Expand

    This game is is fantastic. While the graphics are dated now, the journey and gameplay transcend time and are still a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The game has a very nostalgic feel for me as it was the first game i ever completed as a child. The soundtrack is one of the best in gaming.

I prefer Ocarina Of Time over Majora’s Mask any day because I hate in Majora’s Mask by that you only get a certain amount of time to complete the game and when you run out of time that it brings right back to starting the game all over again. Every time I have to start Majora’s Mask all overThis one is one of the best games I ever played so solid so good and so crisp it’s just beautiful.     I will always appreciate this game for introducing so many innovations in the series. The franchise has us used on doing that but Ocarina of Time took it on another level. It changed gaming for ever. I will always love this game and this franchise.

    I have always knew that this game was considered a masterpiece, and that it was considered "the" best game, but I never really understood how such an apparently old and aged-looking video game could be praised so much, I just assumed that it was all the grumpy old players who played this as children and were hit by nostalgia.

    But last year I got the chance to play and finish this video game. And from the very first hours of playing, this game just brings you into another dimension, a similar worlds to ours, with woods, lakes, castles and plains, but adding creatures of all kinds and following the adventure of a small hero. This game has an incredible level design, emotional storytelling, mystical and somehow nostalgia-inducing soundtracks even if you heard them for the first time, never boring gameplay, and funny interactions with all the characters that you encounter through the hero's journey. Technically it is well made, excluding a few bugs and counter intuitive mechanisms, that really don't get in the way of the game play.

    I think this game has an atmosphere and an hidden subtext, that is relatable and resonates unconsciously to every human being, that's why it struck anyone who played it. Combined with it's pristine art that mimics the beauty of the real world in a newly explored technological way and following the adventure of each and everyone of us through growth, change, responsibility and love, it's no surprise that for now, and maybe for a while, this is the best videogame ever made.

    If you can, try to play the original N64 version, in my opinion the 3DS remake just doesn't recreate the same magic, by using new textures that don't really fit with the original atmosphere of the original game, and also the original was intended for an home console which means it's supposed to be played on a big screen to really appreciate the open world, rather than the small screen of the 3DS.

    *Bonus points if you play the original version and try to see yourself as a 10 years old in 1998 during the Christmas holidays, filled only with joy and curiosity, and entering this dimension. Then you'll get me.    … Expand

    There is not much I can say about Ocarina of Time that wasn't said 100.000 times. But I think what really is the best part of a close to prefect game, is his amazing atmosphere. Please if you never played this and you're scared because it is old. Go and play it. It is 100% worth your time.

Al momento de argumentar una puntuacion, es importante hacerlo en base a la fecha en que dicho juego salió, y ahi es donde radica el merito de este juegazo: estuvo adelantado a su1998, un año trascendental para la industria del videojuego, y ahi es donde aparece esta joya que sentó las bases para muchos otras grandes sagas que se apoyaron en las bases que Ocarina del Tiempo cimentó. Al momento de argumentar una puntuacion, es importante hacerlo en base a la fecha en que dicho juego salió, y ahi es donde radica el merito de este juegazo: estuvo adelantado a su epoca. Nos dejó mecanicas importantes como el ciclo del dia y la noche, excelentes fisicas, una muy buena trama argumental y que decir de tantos personajes y lugares carismaticamente inolvidables.     No hay mucho que decir, la infancia pesa (o juventud en mi caso) recuerdo que este juego lo jugué 2 veces y llegue solo hasta el templo del fuego y hay lo deje, a la tercera finalmente lo pase, como olvidar el templo del agua y el odio que llegue a tenerle, al final creo que ya me pase este juego 7 veces y vaya que me divierte, es uno de esos juegos que re juegas y aun da para más.

E pra isso terá que viajar entre o tempo e despertar os 6 sábios para impedir o mal. O jogo entrega uma história simples, mas quando ela é combinada com o gameplay do mesmo ela se torna divertida e relativamente instigante. É incrível como o fato de você poderOcarina of Time segue a história de um garoto escolhido para lutar contra Ganondorf, que planeja virar o "rei" de Hyrule. E pra isso terá que viajar entre o tempo e despertar os 6 sábios para impedir o mal. O jogo entrega uma história simples, mas quando ela é combinada com o gameplay do mesmo ela se torna divertida e relativamente instigante. É incrível como o fato de você poder fazer tudo no jogo influência nele, inclusive a trilha sonora, o quê você presencia nesse jogo é (na minha opinião), a segunda maior obra de miyamoto e o melhor jogo de N64. Por isso 10.

But if there is a problem that I have with the game, it's just that Hyrule Field is just bland. I have never felt an incentive to explore the world, I find Lake Hylia especially dull, the only reason I've been there was to go to the water temple, and that is the worst dungeon in the game. Despite that one flaw I love literally everything else, Koji Kondo has made an absolutely fantastic soundtrack and should be regarded as one of his best. Objectively speaking, it is THE best Zelda game ever made.… Expand

    Best game in the world!!! The art and story and graphics for the time are amazing. Still replay it all the time and I’ve been playing it for 20 yrs. this is the epitome of what Zelda games should be. They don’t have my vote with the Breath of the Wild game. I think they took the heart of Zelda away from That one.

    Perfect Game for its time. The jump from 2D to 3D was no small task, and what Shigeru Miyamoto and the team at Nintendo pulled off was nothing short of spectacular.

    Very entertaining game. Long and fun. Definitely over-rated for it was the first great game to go 3D. It still is great don't get me wrong. But it's far from perfect. A game I love from my childhood and really recommend playing to anyone.

    Nostálgico demais. Um dos primeiros jogos a revolucionar o 3D, ótima jogabilidade, tenho a sensação de que o controle do N64 foi criado exclusivamente para esse jogo. Mundo aberto para se aventurar e poder fazer oq quiser!!!

    My absolute favorite game, as a child I cried after playing through it. Other than other games, it is not made extremely easy for children, in my opinion it is exactly the right level of difficulty.

    This is hands down the best game ever created, I originally wasn't planning on getting the game, since I never played any past Zelda game before OoT, but man that commercial I saw on our living room TV seeing Volvagia for the first time, I snapped immediately "I need this game"

    What makes this game truly special is the gameplay and the innovation done to achieve it. Combat is engaging and exciting. The Z-Targeting system was an ingenious innovation that made fighting in a true 3D space more convenient, without reducing the difficulty of fights. The dungeons are some of the series best, being labyrinthian as well as intriguing. Bosses are fantastic, each one testing the player's skills thus far. Plus there are plenty of secrets and side-quests to keep you busy.

    Greatest video game ever made by a mile! This was a big part of my childhood, I have finished this game over 1000 times and still dont get bored with it! At the time it was absolutely ground breaking, you felt like you were in that world for brief moments, i dont think i would love gaming so much if it wasn’t for this game id score it 1000/10 if possible.

Some people may not enjoy the combat or may not like the controls .     Clever and fleshed out adventure. Even with a guide at hand, it's still an extremely challenging but entertaining title, and everything is there for a reason. Very good on all platforms where it came out, even Virtual Console. Must play.

    The best game I have ever played. Hands down . This Zelda game alone made me a Zelda fan. I am almost shocked this game was created back in 1998. The gameplay and story is so good you look past the outdated graphics. If you are of a younger generation gamer and have not played Ocarina of Time . Than you need to get a Nintendo 64 console and play this game to appreciate its originality .
