  1. This game is the 'chill-out area' in the game nightclub, it is so peaceful, and gives a real buzz when you do well.
  2. Simply flying around and admiring the scenery is an enjoyable enough pass-time. When you get serious with the game, it's demanding but fair, constantly pushing you further in mastering the various craft and the environment.
  3. A silky smooth wonder. The absolute freedom that can be yours in this game is unprecedented. With a large screen television and proper stereo amplification, Pilot Wings 64 truly takes us where no console game has ever gone before.
  4. The best part of Pilotwings 64 is exploring the four islands. You'll not believe just how huge the islands really are and, because certain elements are hidden at first, it'll take you months to see everything.
  5. Pilotwings 64 comes close to being the most realistic experience ever offered on a home video gaming system. The thrill factor for gaming has been upped with this title.

Take a self-guided tour of Little America - it's not every day you get to fly an autogyro. [Jan 2004, p.189]

It's a classic Nintendo game made up of simple, addictive qualities and garnished with superlative detail and graphic finesse.
  8. This was a well designed game that was rushed a bit. Another month of development and this game could have been better than Mario (well, a month's a rough estimate).
  9. It's a great game that's filled with memories of what used to be considered mind-blowing. Check it out.
  10. A fun and carefree flight sim that anyone can (and everyone should) enjoy.
  11. One of the most fun flight simulators to date.
  12. A great game -- a little light on action -- but nevertheless a break-through title.
  13. Overall, there's not much to this game, if you can call it a game. If you're looking for a game with a point or a plot, keep looking.

An amazingly relaxing experience- the music, the sense of flight, the changing skies and weather. I have yet to see anything match it, as An amazingly relaxing experience- the music, the sense of flight, the changing skies and weather. I have yet to see anything match it, as even though I don't like simulators, I love flying this way. It shows just how revolutionary the N64 was, I hope more people get to try it, maybe on the Wii. A forgettable game that mainly was played due to the impressive graphics for the time period.

By today's standards it's a little limited as there's no attempt at a "story", which makes it feel like one of those side missions from the later GTA games, but Pilotwings 64 did it first.
