Please watch this video of the intended design of Diablo immortal. This game was not made to be fun or for the players, it was made for the payers

Can not believe, how blizzard ended with that game. Shame. I could even say, this is one of the worst games, have I ever seen due to monetisation - no matter how good the game would be, without it.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Game is pointless as progress feels unrewarding. No point in playing a game about grinding and luck and time if you can just skip to the end by spending money. Not to mention timegating fun/experience gains/pvp etc. No fun to be had here. You either don’t spend money and make no progress or you do spend a TON of money and the progress feels worthless. It’s what we call a Lose/Lose. Expand

This game is designed to rob you don't be a fool.
Diablo Immortal uses many, if not all and more, of the most blatant and egregious monetization practices to extract money from the you. It is an embarrassment that this game left development with the way it is currently monetized.

Blizzard, this is so disappointing. A decent game soaked in your predatory, disgusting p2w tactics. . The day where you crash and burn is coming. I hope to see it sooner rather than later if Diablo Immortal is an example of your standards.

Look, just the fact that it’s on mobile means it’s a blatant cash grab from the start, but then you toss in the micro-transactions and it only gets MUCH worse. The game itself lacks imagination, and I’ll never adjust to touch screen controls. Diablo and Blizzard are dead, have been for a while. It’s time to ignore them and move on.

This game exploits players in an extremely predatory manner into spending obscene amounts of money into maxing out just one character. I don't even understand how monetization this egregious can be legal. And it's a right shame because if you took out all the monetization aspects, you would be left with a decently enjoyable game. After only 8 h of gaming you have to pay or stop . ItsThis game exploits players in an extremely predatory manner into spending obscene amounts of money into maxing out just one character. Satisfactory, delivers what it promises.

Graphically he delivers what was expected, mechanically he is the same thing as the other diablo. The plot doesn't innovate much, but there's also nothing to innovate in diablo, it's the usual, beating up on a demon, exploring, picking up some items... some really interesting dialogues, but in the end it's as if we were watching the same thing.

As for the game's controversy regarding monetization, and without wanting to play the devil's advocate, but a game of this level is not cheap at all, monetizing it is natural for the survival of the game's own ecosystem.
Yes the game is clearly Pay to Win, and honestly, what's the problem with that? Several games do the same thing, and it's an absolutely normal practice in the industry.
Doing a "review bomb" just because you don't agree with the game's monetization policy is childish.

Ugly monetization, Free to play is ridiculous, skip it - it's not worth to spend Your time.

Game looks great and game play is fine. Good things are just nothing when You need to spend 100k to max Your ONE character. Gems for money IS BUYING GEAR - BLIZZARD.

There are a lot of shady game mechanics at work, like slowing down your progress, ads etc.

( You can spend apr. 500000 Dollars to max out your chars. )

    No NFTs though...at this point.

To skip the paragraph, as a 20+ year player of blizzard games, I'm sad to say, do not play this game.

This game was fun. Until the realization that there is leaderboards for both pve and pvp that you as an average person will never reach. Why? Because you have to pay large sums (20+ dollars) for chances on gear and or currency grinds. While some (whales) will spend thousands of dollars

Because you have to pay large sums (20+ dollars) for chances on gear and or currency grinds. While some (whales) will spend thousands of dollars to fast track their progress, they will always have more chances at that gear that you wont. I'm a leaderboard fanatic. I am also a father of 2, a husband and have plenty of bills that need paid. The idea of spending even 100 dollars, let alone thousands will never be a consideration of mine. I will never attain the top of any leaderboard here. This game is ruining a legacy. It's sad to see. I hope D4 doesn't involve this. I also hope that others see this and hit Activision where it counts. Their wallets.

The game produces graphical artifacts which make the game unplayable on many Samsung devices, including my Galaxy M31, which is neither very cheap or very old(a 2020 model), and this problem seems prominent on tons of phones like this. Please, don't waste your money on this. I thought nothing could be worse than Warcraft 3 Reforged launch, but this is it.

This game has an excellent UI/UX, looks nice and respects Diablo lore... BUT its p2w design is insane and should not even be allowed. Just google "the immoral design of diablo immortal" and enjoy :(

Was excited to have a casual mobile version of one of my favorite childhood IP's however I cannot justify even downloading it considering the predatory monetization by Activision blizzard. I've been on the fence with them of late and this is seriously the last straw for me. They'll never get another cent of mine.

Game is trash. Its a lazy phone cash grab copy of D3, all the effort in the game was building a system to trick you into spending money. It uses every psychological trick in the book. So obvious and such utter trash.

This is not the same Diablo and not from those developers. It's something made by a completely different company and wrapped around Diablo. At Blizzard everything is so bad that they can no longer make games on their own, but only distribute the rights? So it's bad with grades.
    And yes. 110k.

A game built around payment mechanics. Non-transparent pay-to-win system with high risk espacially for young players. But what do you expect from a company that gives a f*** on all human values at all.

It's gambling game aimed at kids & teens. Extremely abusive monetization and multiple psychological tricks to chase after mythical whales (big spending rich players). This is everything that's wrong with mobile games taken to extreme.

I'm bothered by the bland story of the world's destruction, which was vehemently influenced by the online nature and spirit of the game or the inability to change the camera. The game looks and runs very well, and you can also adjust the graphics settings on more powerful devices. I'd leave the disdain for the online elements of Diablo Immortal to the eternally doubting and overlooking, because just as you can recognize a good poem, you can recognize a fundamentally good game. To see it submit to mobile gaming's worst tendencies, rather than make any effort to be different, to be better, is galling. It may be flashy and efficient as both a Diablo game and a mobile game, but Immortal offers little that is bold, ambitious or innovative. Instead, its structure and pacing is designed with one goal in mind: to squeeze as much cash out of every player as it can. [Issue#374, p.110]

It is undeniable that Diablo Immortal's monetization system has problems and makes the more advanced stages of the adventure unpleasant, but the fact remains that the Blizzard title has brought one of the best experiences in the action RPG field to the mobile market, and it really is difficult to find on the App Store and Google Play Store another free to play with such high production values. Diablo Immortal is an excellent pastime for those who want to complete the long cooperative campaign and, above all, could represent the perfect entry point for those who have never approached the series: even without putting their wallet in, in fact, it remains a pleasant adventure to live while waiting for the fourth chapter to make its debut on the shelves.
