I'd give a negative score if I could

Quite clear pay to win incentives when it comes to PVP as someone who spends just $500 can wipe a team full of F2P players. The amount of "grind" limitations put in place are inherently unlike any other Diablo game. The MTX systems use make the worst GACHA games look kid friendly and tame in comparison. The amount of "grind" limitations put in place are inherently unlike any other Diablo game. The MTX systems use make the worst GACHA games look kid friendly and tame in comparison. I can't even say this game is P2W though, as certain mechanics like charms aren't even payable, simply terrible RNG. As for gameplay, the combat is alright, not exceptionally responsive, terrible for PC, but for mobile, I'd say about 6/10. The dungeons are quite repetitive, with bosses being mediocre, with minimal mechanics.

~75 hours played on both mobile/PC, so experienced all the game has to offer me, and can confidently say, it's by far the worst Diablo game to date, mobile game or not, the MTX P2W (in the PVP scene) make this unworthy of downloading, let alone playing.

This game exploits players in an extremely predatory manner into spending obscene amounts of money into maxing out just one character. I don't even understand how monetization this egregious can be legal. And it's a right shame because if you took out all the monetization aspects, you would be left with a decently enjoyable game. I feel bad for the developers and artists that actually… Expand

Unreal that Blizzard has fallen this low to push out a product that is so desperate for money. The game could have been cool as a subscription model or something but how it's set up now essentially requires you either spend THOUSANDS or can't compete late game, even with playing 40+ hours a week. Really just sad.

With the release of Diablo 3, the first disillusionment had already set in and over time it has only gotten worse. The good times seem to be finally over and it fills me with deep sadness that this company is apparently ready to go down the drain. Economic success by ripping off the players? Pay-to-win? Honestly? How insulting and how ungrateful to a fanbase that was once one of the most loyal ever. Simply disgusting! Expand

Complete joke of a game made by a complete joke of a company. It sucks to see the once-mighty blizzard we all loved turn into a complete joke of the industry. This game is what would happen if Diablo himself actually developed a game.

Incredibly predatory game; we can't allow our industry to go this way. It's morally unacceptable that they treat/see costumers as cows.
Please, the future of games depends on the success (or failure) of things like this.

No resource managment etc. no trade-offs. Also the items are boring and in the wake of the immense MTX doesn't really motivate for loot hunt, which always was a big part of a diablo game. Most assets are reused from D3 etc. This game is a total disapointment for me as a longtime diablo fan. Expand

Even this situation shows how much of a money-based approach game Diablo Immortal is. Definitely Diablo Immortal is not a f2p game, this is a disgusting p2w game.

Worse, the game behaviorally encourages players who can be defined as f2p in the classical sense to switch to p2w, while paving the way for p2w victims to have pay2pay. Because, when p2w victims can't find their expectations due to the hidden caps everywhere in the game, they are always consciously or unconsciously giving more and more money in order not to lose the value of the previously paid money in the game.

Blizzard killed the Diablo franchise and lowered its own value.

    Shame on you Blizzard!

Gameplay itself is not bad. Actually one of the best mobile games. But the atrocious pay to win monetisation model is unacceptable. Very intrusive and designed to squeeze as much money out people on daily basis as possible. It creates fear of missing out with daily login. Not recommended

I'm bothered by the bland story of the world's destruction, which was vehemently influenced by the online nature and spirit of the game or the inability to change the camera. The game looks and runs very well, and you can also adjust the graphics settings on more powerful devices. I'd leave the disdain for the online elements of Diablo Immortal to the eternally doubting and overlooking, because just as you can recognize a good poem, you can recognize a fundamentally good game. To see it submit to mobile gaming's worst tendencies, rather than make any effort to be different, to be better, is galling. It may be flashy and efficient as both a Diablo game and a mobile game, but Immortal offers little that is bold, ambitious or innovative. Instead, its structure and pacing is designed with one goal in mind: to squeeze as much cash out of every player as it can. [Issue#374, p.110]

It is undeniable that Diablo Immortal's monetization system has problems and makes the more advanced stages of the adventure unpleasant, but the fact remains that the Blizzard title has brought one of the best experiences in the action RPG field to the mobile market, and it really is difficult to find on the App Store and Google Play Store another free to play with such high production values. Diablo Immortal is an excellent pastime for those who want to complete the long cooperative campaign and, above all, could represent the perfect entry point for those who have never approached the series: even without putting their wallet in, in fact, it remains a pleasant adventure to live while waiting for the fourth chapter to make its debut on the shelves.
