It is just a Gambling Simulator. 100% Pay to Win.
There is hidden loot boxes everywhere. And Activision-Blizzard uses extremely predatory systems that is horribly consumer unfriendly.

Gameplay is decent since it is actually just a copy of Diablo III.

Shameless cash grab. I was so pissed playing Diablo Immoral I had to make a Metacritic account to say this game is bad because of the money scam.

The experience is absolutely destroyed by micro transactions. Pay to win at it's worst.

don't support this kind of microtransaction, it's not healthy for the game community

$100,000 to max a character. So sad that blizzard has come to this. Could’ve been an incredible game, and a phone game that was actually quality. Wasted potential

    Super Toxic.
As for most of the mobile gacha games there are a lot off stuff going on in the game. The reason is to confuse you, so you can make more mistakes, and pay more because of that.
There are a lot of feature which can be skipped/made faster by just paying. You can earn passive stats by paying, legendary items and such. It is really toxic, the definition of Pay 2 Win. If

If these does not bother you, then it is an okay game. A dumbed down version of Diablo 3. Since D3 was already a dumbed down experience you can already expect. what it feels like.
Itemization does not exists. You just click on up arrow items you don't have to think.
There is no builds and such. Customization is really nothing much.
The gameplay is great since it was built upon D3. It looks good and a story/plot is fine.
As I have said overall an okay experience.

The gameplay of Diablo Immortal is fun and engaging and generally I enjoyed the time I put into it. I usually avoid mobile games for this exact reason but as a fan of Diablo 3 and most of Blizzard's other games I decided to check this out and needless to say I am disappointed that they've decided to go the mobile gaming route. Personally I'm done with Diablo Immortal and will wait for Diablo 4 to be released before investing a bunch of time into a new Diablo game. Expand

Made an account just to rate this into the ground. The first insult to the community was the mobile game, but we eventually looked forward to it as a in between for D4. Most would've paid a small price just like we did to replay D2 remastered. This micro transaction fest blizz keeping slapping us with is getting old.

It could be a fun game if it wasn't just designed to push you to the cash shop.

The first couple hours was ok then once you get to certain levels then they are trying so hard to do everything to force you to spend money for pay to win, this kind of game needs to stop it's the poison of the current game industry, I totally understand this is a mobile but the amount of pay to win is way too extreme for any mobile game

Game is designed to addict you to gambling and losing your money while destabilizing your life in the process. Do not Spend money on this even if you are a rich teenager swiping your dad's credit card. I am in the negatives with whatever respect I have left for this company, I just can't justify supporting them on any level, even outside of this trashy, predatory bankruptcy simulator masquerading as the corpse of the Diablo IP. They use every psychologically manipulative and predatory MTX design in the book and fold it all into a seamless experience built to nickle and dime you at every possible moment. All just to get you hooked and keep pumping you for cash until you have nothing left to give them. Please stay away and look after yourself and your families because Blizzard wants to prey on them too the same as they're trying to do to you. Expand

A complete waste of time. One of the greatest potential of any mobile game, and most certainly on par with any other Diablo, but I’m not Jeff bezos.

I played the f2p part of this game and i didnt spent any money in it...I'm not a competitive player who try to get everything. I'm a casual gamer and its one of the best mobile mmo ive played!...A mobile game is made so you can come back every day and play it...you dont have to beat the game in one day!

I made a Metacritic account purely to review this game. It is an incredibly predatory trap for whales. Don't download it. Go buy Diablo III. The cost of the game with all expansions is lower than the cost of getting fully geared in Diablo Immoral. If you don't have a PC play Genshin I guess. Even Genshin isn't as bad as this.

After playing this game for a few days now. I can not truly give this game anything other than a 0. There is a game there a quality Diablo game, However I can not give this anything better than a 0 just because of how aggressive the monetization system in this game is. I've never playing any mobile game that's been this aggressive before.

Diablo Immortal tries to blends it's classic gameplay with the free-to-play mobile formula, but it turned out as just a cash-grabbing monetization cesspool and they are not even trying to hide it.

I just watched how a company that used to preach about Quality and Fun, turn to the dark side of mobile gaming greed. To make it worse, they went all out and even went the extra mile of making it require $100,000 to max one character. Whales are their new target fan base.

It saddens me so much to say this, but the Diablo franchise as we know it is gone. Diablo 3 was not great, but it was leaps and bounds better than this. The gameplay is alright... sure... this is basically like Diablo 3 in that regard, but it just becomes unplayable at later levels with the forceful grind and artificially-horrible drops, just to force you to open your wallet and pay up. Great gameplay but, the shameless microctransactions are just discusting. You have layers over layers over layers of things you get for free in the diablo games just by playing and progressing. Gave up after a few hours when i realised the depth of their greediness

I'm bothered by the bland story of the world's destruction, which was vehemently influenced by the online nature and spirit of the game or the inability to change the camera. The game looks and runs very well, and you can also adjust the graphics settings on more powerful devices. I'd leave the disdain for the online elements of Diablo Immortal to the eternally doubting and overlooking, because just as you can recognize a good poem, you can recognize a fundamentally good game. To see it submit to mobile gaming's worst tendencies, rather than make any effort to be different, to be better, is galling. It may be flashy and efficient as both a Diablo game and a mobile game, but Immortal offers little that is bold, ambitious or innovative. Instead, its structure and pacing is designed with one goal in mind: to squeeze as much cash out of every player as it can. [Issue#374, p.110]

It is undeniable that Diablo Immortal's monetization system has problems and makes the more advanced stages of the adventure unpleasant, but the fact remains that the Blizzard title has brought one of the best experiences in the action RPG field to the mobile market, and it really is difficult to find on the App Store and Google Play Store another free to play with such high production values. Diablo Immortal is an excellent pastime for those who want to complete the long cooperative campaign and, above all, could represent the perfect entry point for those who have never approached the series: even without putting their wallet in, in fact, it remains a pleasant adventure to live while waiting for the fourth chapter to make its debut on the shelves.
