    This game I loved at first,till I hit the massive slap in the face that woke me up.

    First lets get this out of the way,this game is pay-to-win,if you buy gems,like clash of clans,you can zoom to get maxed out.     Here are the positive things
    -It creates a RTS style game with cards,which I honestly haven't seen at all,although i'm sure some other game has done it
    -The beginning is amazing!Its just nice and well presented
    You can have friendly battles with your clan-mates,you essentially just play them without any risk,clash of clans NEEDS a system like this.
    -The progression is done well.Leveling up definitely feels rewarding.
    -Graphics are relatively nice for a mobile game
    Negatives
    -Matchmaking is outright broken,for all intents and purposes,it is the clash of clans search finder,however in clash you can choose who you can battle,you can't here.Which means you get played against people that have FAR better cards then you do.
    -Game is completely unbalanced with a lot of cards,if you don't have these specific cards you will simply lose when you face against someone who does,such as the skeleton army,which can wipe out 3-4 cards with little effort
    -Game is pay to win,I already mentioned this so I won't go into detail
    -You essentially can only play a worthwhile battle every 3 hours,maybe more,since chests take a long time to open
    -There is no way to discard unwanted chests,lets say you only want to open gold chests,not silver ones.To bad,you can't get rid of the silver chests.
    -Map are small,you get 8 maps,all are the same just re-textured,a river in the middle,with two bridges and the two players on both sides.That's all you get when you battle,make a variety with maps,to allow for different strategies!
    -The card count is limited,it may seem extensive at first,but card game hearthstone has over 400 cards,Royale has 49,49!.

    This game is really a four out of ten,but the fact that you can pay money and immediately become max level,along with they shove buying gems in your face with the chest timers just make me have to take off a point.Free-To-Play model problems    … Expand

    Clash Royale is generally fun in terms of its proud and original real-time multiplayer game play. But the rest of the game is annoyingly imbalanced -- and will probably become way worse as the game gets older, just like Clash of Clans. Must be a Supercell thing.

    Si bien es un juego que me encanto, cuando llegas a Arena 10 se acaba la diversión. Por qué? PAY TO WIN. Hay gente que considera este un e-sport, y no, aquí no importa la habilidad del jugador, importa el dinero que uso para subir las cartas de nivel.

    this game used to be pretty decent, and now it's absolutely garbage.

    the time i came back to this game, it's pretty unbalanced with the game also being pay-to-win, which i don't enjoy some pay-to-win games. it at least had some sort of charm with the clash of clans, but nothing really else is special about the game. it's horrible. oh yeah! it's a waiting simulator for chests and    this game used to be pretty decent, and now it's absolutely garbage.

    El juego es bueno pero el problema radica en que es pay tu win y es muy injusto por que te toca rivales que son superiores a ti en nivel de torre y de cartas y no es a veces es siempre y eso te quita las ganas de jugar ya que en el juego ahora para ganar no hay que tener habilidad hay que pagar

    it makes me question people when a game like brawl stars with characters with personality and developers who care about their players, and Clash Royale where its monetization & balance is even worse than Brawl Stars, the recent updates to both games is night and day to see which development team care about their players.

    The game contains some good ideas, but the Pay-To-Win is too abusive. But it's only my opinion, and anyone can have his opinion. I've loved this game first, but when you are Area 2/3 you see you must pay to win.

    In the first months an interesting game. The players soon gets to the paywall...hovering about 4000 trophies. The game is in the later stages simple pay to win. Terribly unbalanced and still introducing new cards - which are mostly in the beginning quite OP and need to be later nerfed.

    That's it.
    Hard levels make you buy IAP, and even to get past a certain point, you need to barge your Facebook friends, or buy $5 in in app purchases.

    I have played this game for years now and my experience is that Supercell doesn’t care about fixing their game as long as new content keeps pouring in to attract new players. They only focus on getting new players and don’t keep their old ones.     I used to like to play this game but then the pay to win aspect of the game really hit. Not only because I got later in the game but also because the greedy people at supercell decided to increase how powerful you get using real money. That’s shouldn’t happen, it’s common sense that when you lose a game, the next time you should be given an easier opponent. It’s stupid I no longer reccomend this game. Finally god damn overpowered card ruin this game. The elite barbs should be 7 elixir they are just as powerful as the pekka. Freeze spell lasts to long. Valkyrie has to much health I would recommend toning that down a little since the best thing that counters large health troops is goblins/skarmy and of course they can barely touch her. Last thing is the infernos, they charge up faster then inferno dragons and towers do in clash of clans clan capital, they should charge up to the next level after 5 seconds not like the 2 seconds they have now.… Expand

    I don't normally expect much from mobile games. However, this game is one of the most overrated game I have ever encountered. First, it is extremely repetitive, with little variation to keep it interesting. Certain cards are too strong and too easily obtainable, which created a balance issue. Another issue is the positively absurd chest opening timers. 8 hours for one measly gold chest.I don't normally expect much from mobile games.     Monotonous cash grab with little content past the first few weeks.

    The only updates are monthly small balance tweaks. I'm just not seeing anything that would lead someone to playing this game long

    Save your time and money.

    So before it was a pay to win but at least I think that in the beginning it was a small edge that the ppl with much money had but nowdays its no meaning to play and there are better alternatives.

    Supercells greed look like this:

    Design a very strong card ppl must have to have a chance. Act like they are surprised over how good the card is even though the forum is full of threads of it and I only **** the threads that is not only complaining but try to solve it.

    When enough ppl spent their money rinse and repeat. As I said before you could still play without those cards because there was counters and not all played them because you needed skill too but now the card is just so powerful so you dont need any tactics.

    I want to warn ppl that dont spend any money before they fix it.

    Also they are into bad manner players and bullying. you cant turn the emotes off and it is 90 bullys and bad manners that use the system and many players had said this but thay dont care.

    Read som reviews that clearly are written by themselves.

    Ppl claim they are topplayers they played for free.

    I am not at the very top but have 6-7k trophies. PLayed since the start and have in total 7 maxlevel cards where none of course is a legendary and if you check the top no one have anything else then maxlevel cards and its jus impossible like pppl claim and I just don't think they even know where the top is =)    … Expand

    Unfortunately, the very slow rate at which you gain free chest, combined with the rarity of epic cards and the fact that the matchin system dosen't care how much stronger your opponent is provides people who purchase cards with an overwhelming advantage. Not everyone will mind, but those who do    One of the most noxious pay to win games out there.

Get a princess, ice wizard, sparky, miner, that rotten rolling log, and you're good to go. If you manage to build a deck with adequate cards, you will be matched with opponents 2+ levels higherAbsolutely utterly Pay2Win system. Legendary cards are ridiculously overpowered, and whoever is dumb enough to spend hundreds of $ on such a simple little mobile game is almost guaranteed to win. Get a princess, ice wizard, sparky, miner, that rotten rolling log, and you're good to go. If you manage to build a deck with adequate cards, you will be matched with opponents 2+ levels higher than you, which means hundreds of very important HP. With the huge amount of people playing, I find it hard to believe it's impossible to match up with someone on the same level, ESPECIALLY in Challenge mode where fractions of seconds might matter. This is one of the usual mobile game "scams" where they deliberately make you feel a loser if you don't buy ingame items, so you'd spend more on this crap than you would on an AAA+ game. For instance, whenever I arrow a minion horde, it takes 5 seconds for the arrows to actually hit the minion horde. It's defnitely not the wifi issue because it happens ALL the time.     If you want to stay on this game longer you MUST spend some cash to upgrade your deck, because is almost impossible to get best cards by grinding ingame and collect money to upgrade them.
    According to my personal experience you need to spend at least 30$ to build and upgrade really strong deck.
    A feature to categorize players would be a really gamechanger - play with a players that inveseted comparable amount of money in game.

    Despite this it could be very goods game if not being made by greedy supercell.    … Expand

    It's a neat game with a fun concept. Lots of collectibles and arenas to play through and a large player base which keeps the game alive. However this concept is immediately tarnished from the beginning as there's always micro-transactions which can buy you an advantage. Sure the beginning is easy (even against pay to win kids) because you can easily outsmart and destroy younger kids whoIt's a neat game with a fun concept. There's a larger variety of broken cards which kids buy and use to win matches. It's no longer a game of wits and is now a game of who can spend more money. In higher arenas it seems more like a chore than it is a game and that's what's so awful. Supercell (ONCE AGAIN) has let pay to win kids ruin a fun and interesting concept (actually clash of clans wasn't that fun to begin with)… Expand

    -Lack of cards. With other card-based games like hearthstone, there are hundreds of cards. In Clash Royale there are like 50.    … Expand

    I have never seen such a money trap game before, including other Supercell games. Boss needs more bugs perhaps?? In this game you have to increase your cards' level and you need epic cards to win the match. But without buying chests you will be very low profile player. Ridiculously unbalanced money trap game...

This game is full of exploits so most of your losses will be due to somebody either; drop hacking you to make you lose connection, buffing his troops (either making them take more dmg, deal more dmg, one shot your troops, double the norm dmg to turrets, or a few other ways), getting extra elix, having their troops costThis game would be ok if there weren't so many hacks being used in it. This game is full of exploits so most of your losses will be due to somebody either; drop hacking you to make you lose connection, buffing his troops (either making them take more dmg, deal more dmg, one shot your troops, double the norm dmg to turrets, or a few other ways), getting extra elix, having their troops cost less, having way higher troop levels from using free chest exploits, or even making it so you can't drop troops.

    And when you try to say anything an answer bot program tells you to send them a video which they won't watch anyway, it's just to waste enough of your time you lose interest.    … Expand

    Based on pay to win, you pay you get best cards. You will get the usual cards then someone appears having a lot of things like the guy that destroy towers in 4 hits on a horse etc...Really not a game to be addicted or fan

    Been playing the game since release. As an arena 9 F2P player I can't believe Supercell killed this game in much less time than they did with CoC. The first signals came with the Royal Giant buff, being overpowered as hell. Then they nerfed his damage of 4% (like, seriously?!). But when the new cards came out I started questioning why were I still playing this cash-grab. They added threeBeen playing the game since release. As an arena 9 F2P player I can't believe Supercell killed this game in much less time than they did with CoC. The first signals came with the Royal Giant buff, being overpowered as hell. Then they nerfed his damage of 4% (like, seriously?!). But when the new cards came out I started questioning why were I still playing this cash-grab. They added three new legendaries. Sparky: a moving tesla that deals more than 1000 damage per hit? Ok, she has many weaknesses. Lava Hound: a tanky air unit that spawn 6 pups on death? No problem, it costs 7! But the Miner. MY GOD THE MINER. For just 3 elixir you can summon this unit anywhere in the arena and there is no sign of where he is digging. Yes, you're right, the opponent needs to GUESS the evoking positions of the miner. And if you place the defensive troop wrong it can do the difference from a win or a loss. Not to mention wintrading, low legendary drop rate, horrible matchmaking, badly designed tournaments and other unbalanced cards. F*ck supercell.… Expand

    Royale’s latest update has now had a month to bed-in, and it’s a welcome change. The two-tier battle pass has been slimmed down to one – the free version now considerably more generous – and the shards needed to buy evolutions are easier to come by. A fix for the game’s creaking clan wars system is presumably in the works, but this already feels like a big step in the right direction.

    Clash Royale tweaks the formula of its predecessor and delivers an incredibly addictive and well-balance experience. Yes, there are in-app purchases, but even if you choose not to pay, you can still enjoy the latest game by Supercell.
