It has all the standard components of traditional platform titles but disguises them with clever game design, intuitive character interaction, and constant humor.
-
Tak is incredibly fun to play.
-
TotalGames.netThe main problem that Tak And The Power Of Juju has is persuading gamers that it is not a game aimed merely at a young audience and that there is plenty of challenge here whatever your age.
-
Play MagazineTak is one of the most detailed platformers I've ever seen, and possesses a measure of style that sets the universe apart, akin to what Michel Ancel accomplished with "Rayman." [Nov 2003, p.82]
-
Perhaps it's because of the goofy main character, a humorous plot line, or some creative ways to present age old puzzles, but you're compelled to play through Tak. It's fun and incorporates platform collecting in a way that doesn't seem like you're gathering all sorts of items.
-
Nintendo PowerA perfectly competent platformer with some great voice acting, but it doesn't really bring anyting new to the table. [Dec 2003, p.138]
