  1. The game mechanics are fairly simple and the controls respond well enough; though I did find the dash ability a tad sensitive, often dashing into a bottomless pit when my intention was just to jump over them. All the levels are a simple “make your way from left to right” fare where you are occasionally locked within a screen-width section of the level and must kill a set number of enemies before progressing.
  2. It’s also painful to say that I’ve heard far better music on the GBA. The Casio-style representation of the score is beyond belief, considering that music is 50 percent of the Star Wars franchise’s success.

Too bad the side-scrolling gameplay is so generic. You're best off staying far, far away from this galaxy. [Dec 2004, p.170]

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. A pretty fun game. The animations are liquid smooth and the game is impressive. It feels like a spiritual successor to the Star Wars Trilogy games on SNES and Gameboy, and if you were a fan of those games, you will enjoy this one. However, it's battles get repetitive by episode V, and even the lightsaber combat gets a little old after a while. Not a bad game, just not incredible by any means. Full Review »

Fun, but damn this game gets so repetitive its not even funny. Same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and OVER Fun, but damn this game gets so repetitive its not even funny. Same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and OVER again. The trilogy really isnt the same with out playable characters like Han, Chewie or Leia. When will lucasarts get the clue and remake the Super Star Wars series for the GBA. IT WILL SELL! Stop with these mediocre Star Wars games and really make something fans want. Full Review »
