While far from perfect, it is easily the best surfing game on the market, but more importantly, it's also a fun game.

Too laid back. It plays more like a lazy day at the beach, rather than a gonzo ride atop a force of nature.

Buy it if you like your surfing with a healthy dollop of frustration.

It also comes with a degree of difficulty that flirts with "Thrasher"-like degrees of insanity, but is offset by lots of gameplay modes, some dopey humor and decent (but not outstanding) graphics.

There's nothing brutally wrong with Championship Surfer, but there isn't really enough to keep the non-surfer interested. It's just wave after wave after wave.
