A fantastic classic N64 game that has been remastered to perfection! While some may think Ocarina of Time is better than Majora's Mask, it really doesn't matter because both games are fantastic! Get and enjoy both! This game looks and feels great with my "NEW" Nintendo 3DS XL. Highly recommended, a masterpiece! 10/10 Well done again, Nintendo!

Absolutely amazing, and worth every cent of my money. This is a very solid remake, and it works very well with the N3DS XL. The controls work very well, the story is just the same as it was on the N64, And I can't find much to complain about.

This is a huge improvement over the original version because of the improved save feature. It's really easy not to save whenever you want. The Song of Double Time is also improved in this game. I bought this game with my New Nintendo 3DS XL. The 3D works great, the graphics are beautiful (many of the character models have been completely redesigned. Even the Rupees and the Chests look brand new!) The C-Sitck really improves gameplay, and I haven't encountered any technical issues. It's not perfect (would give it a 4.5/5 if a could) but it's still a great game. I recommend this to anyone who owns a 3DS, especially the brand new model.

For ignoring that the game shines form it's own merits of having a much deep storyline, multiple playable characters, an interesting villain, npc with personality and a good world designed overall with it's fresh time based ideas.
Majora's Mask 3D keeps the overall experience of the original with some major improvements, permanent save files made the journey more comfortable, the song of double time now let's you skip forward to any hour of every day, so the dull waiting for specific time events are over.
All bosses have been slightly altered in some way but for the better in order to use Lnik altered forms more, special mention to Gyorg and Twinmold boss fight, the first for being challenging without being tedious and the later for actually requiring strategy to defeat it instead of mindlessly swinging your sword.

Sadly not all changes were for the better and there were several missed opportunities, Zora Link swiming is worse, now his standar swimming is simmilar to N64 Mario swimming, not as slow but nowhere near as fast or fun as in the original version, it still can be done by pressing down the R trigger, the problem: it runs on magic so if it's gone the only thing you get it's a small boost.

Also this game while is not just a simple port as Ocarina 3DS was it isn't a fully fleshed out remake, yeah it's improved in sound, graphics and interface but at it's core it still the same game, no new dungeons or some sort of hero mode may disappoint you specially since nintendo did add extra dungeons to some titles of the series that saw a port on other console (Awakening DX, Link To The Past GBA).

Still the game holds up and is a great way to experience it for the first time and I won't lie that revisiting the game in this improved version was fun and satisfying, Nintendo should take Majora's Mask as a template for the series: don't relay always in the same convention, by doing things different within the same series you'll get an incredible game that manages to stand out from the rest.

This is one of the greatest remakes into the system. IT has great graphics, great control and great gameplay. Nintendo really did do a very good job fixing all the complaints that were in the original (Which is still a really great game which I recommend purchasing on the virtual console)

The new dialogue, I've noticed, seems to feel much more natural than that of the original. However, I do have a few minor issues with the game. For example, the change to the swimming controls, although slightly more functional than the original's, retracts a lot of fun from playing as Zora Link, and the Inverted Song of Time only slowing time by 50% rather than 70% makes the game feel more restrained. There are also many game-breaking glitches being discovered very early on, but most of these are hard to come across if you're not actively trying to activate them.

Also, the Twinmold fight is awesome.

Instead of classic Overworld exploration followed by dungeon and boss formulae, instead the characters and world are the star here. The game's main premise of 3 game days that must be rewound over and over (groundhog day style), really brings a sense of familiarity with the oddball NPC's and their daily routines, as well as their own take on the disaster that is fast approaching in the form of a giant, befaced moon that will crash down killing everyone at the end of the 72 hour period.

With regards the remake, there are many improvements over the original that make the playing experience far better. The enhanced bombers notebook for example takes away the need to keep a notepad and pen with you as you play. The improved, motion enhanced aiming controls of the 3ds make shooting your bow so simple that it almost makes section of the game too easy.

The graphics and textures are far superior here...but here is where I have some small complaints. The added detail (on the grass in particular) can sometimes make it hard to see what is and isn't an object, and what is grass. I also felt sometimes that the detailing made the game feel a bit like a fan remake rather than an official, Nintendo endoursed product. Nintendo games have a very distinct aesthetic, and the level of detailing in places here felt a bit too much at times. I would have prefered a slightly cleaner update to textures more akin to the ocarina of Time 3ds remake.

Overall though this is an astounding game. It can be a divisive Zelda for some, and I know plenty of Zelda fans who really don't get on with Majoras Mask. But this remake makes this twisted cousin of the Zelda universe far more accessable for newcomers.

The music and visuals are beautiful and the controls are very easy to use most of the time. While there are fewer dungeons this time around there are a lot more sidequest and these really bring the game to life; everyone has a schedule that they follow, creating a more dynamic characters that you truly want to save.

The time mechanic is probably the mot controversial part of both versions of Majora's Mask. There is an in game timer that gives you 3 days to save the world. At the end of the three days, you must travel back in time to keeping the world from ending. Some say this mechanic harms the game as the player feels rushed but I think that it works well. The ability to slow down and speed up time make this a non-issue.

Change have been made to the game and most of them are for the better. Everything looks and sounds better and the save system allows players to save more often now. There are more save points and can reload from an owl statue as many times as they want now. Some heart pieces and bottles have changed locations. I thought that this would be annoying but I enjoyed finding everything again.

While I was confused by some changes such as the location of the bank and the complete revamping of the Gyorg section on the moon.

The change that I didn't like was the bosses; each one now has a ridiculous massive eyeball for Link to attack and Gyorg and Twinmold have changed drastically. If it wasn't for the boss changes I would have given this game a 10/10.

Whether you have or haven't played Majora's Mask, you should give it try.

Rather than focusing on a main quest, this game focuses more on side quests and how they relate to the end of the world. The characters are emotional and very intriguing. The game really just sucks you in from beginning to end. The dungeons are among some of the most memorable, with Stone Tower Temple being my favorite dungeon in all of the saga. The only drawback to the N64 version was the save feature (requiring you to lose most items you use and reverting you back in case you were actually trying to finish something). This remake's save feature absolutely soars, allowing you to save at save points and continue where you were in case you had to leave at the moment. The graphics are vastly improved and the changes are quite minimal (the change of the bank location and a few of the stray fairies), which made me happy as it did not change any of the overall experience. Chief among them is save points and a new brand new Ocarina song, "The Song of Soaring" which allows you to transport to any save spot you activated in the world. Also some items you will get much earlier in game (ie, The Bombers notebook).

While the presentation is top notch, it would have been nice for Nintendo to place a mode for a original N64 mode. Past that issue it is a solid remake and well worth a buy from anyone looking for a intelligent adventure game.

My intent was to view the game from the fresh lens of a modern gamer, withholding expectation. I can honestly say that I was not only satisfied with this remake but also impressed by how well the game holds up to modern standards in spite of its age. It felt fresh, unique, and incredibly timeless (so to speak).

You can tell that Grezzo put a lot of effort into enhancing the graphical quality of the game while maintaining the atmosphere and feel, just as they did with Ocarina of Time 3D. The story and characters are unique, deep, and lively. The transformation masks are diverse and fun. There is a real weight to Link's responsibility, and the resulting pressure and trepidation from a limited three-day time loop remains a novel component of the game. I can definitely say it is one of the better single-player gaming experiences I have had as of late.

There truly is nothing quite like it, past or present. And in the end, that's precisely what makes it so great.

Till this day, Majora's Mask remains perhaps the most unique and exotic take on the Legend of Zelda series. Besides the traditional plot about Ganon trying to obtain the triforce and kidnapping Princess Zelda, we have a quest to prevent the moon to fall on the world in 3 days. So different from the previous Zelda games, is the fact that this one is less focused on dungeon exploration (Majora's has just 4 of them), it's more about learning the schedule of characters and events over the 3 days/72 hours cycle (each hour count as a minute in real life), that could be repeated from day one, as many times the player want to accomplish main missions and second quests .

However, while the original release was a great game, it had some serious pacing problems, because it involves a lot of waiting moments to start some missions or events with an specific schedule. Even if there's a song to advance the time, it skipped till the first hour of each shift of the day. So, if a mission is starting at 11:30 pm, it was only possible to skip till 6:00 pm, leaving the player waiting 5 minutes and 30 seconds (remembering that each hour count as a minute) to start the mission. If we failed, we had to go back to the first day and repeat the cycle. Felt like a kick on the scrotum, see?? Possibly, a lot of people turn down the game because of it.

Thankfully, for the remade version on 3DS, Nintendo made it possible to chose which hour of the day we want to advance. Simple solution, but it makes a brutal difference and Majora's Mask 3D is much better because of that. Particularly, i think it's the most important new feature, along the revamped graphics, that looks superior than Ocarina of Time 3D and far better than the Nintendo 64 version.

Other new features that i consider important are:
    - Upgraded bomber's notebook (work like a mission journal) that now not only show the characters schedules, but gives additional info and the status of each mission.
    - More save points
    - Touch screen menu to manipulate items quicker

Simple and effective changes that don't spoil the challenge of the game, but saves the player's time and patience and give it's more rhythm, making it the definitive (by far) version of this classic.

This is the way Majora's Mask should have been done 15 years ago and now we can finally enjoy the crazy world of Termina and its habitants full of charisma and personality, with minimum annoyance as possible, except when we have to go back in time in the middle of a mission because the moon is about to crash (substantially minimized when we learn particular songs that slows and advance the time).

In conclusion, i highly recommend it, even to players that felt it was too laborious back in 2000.

This is a big improvement over the N64 version, especially with the save system. I love the four dungeons, they are each creative in their own respects, and I actually love how you have to collect all the stray fairies to get fairy upgrades - one of my favorite aspects of the game. I didn’t really get too involved in side quests, which this game has tons of, and mainly just completed the dungeons and did a few side quests just to get an extra bottle or quiver improvement. People complain about the time restraints, but as long as you play the inverted song of time you should have plenty of time to complete a dungeon or side quest. My only real gripe is I was a little turned off by having all the dungeon bosses have a giant eye to hit, which wasn’t in the N64 version - just thought that was unnecessary, but no game breaker at all. Out of all the 3D Zelda games this is definitely my third favorite behind Twilight Princess and OOT. If you have a 3ds this is worth every penny, such a great game! Expand

If you've never played Majora's Mask, you're missing out on something amazing. I urge you to play it if you're reading reviews to see if it's worth it. Trust the good reviews: it's worth it.

I'm giving it a 9 because of the relocation and re scripting of a few things that were unnecessary, such as the bank and the saving scheme of the owl statues. The owl statues on the N64 gave saving a sense of urgency, and made you think twice before simply shutting the console off. Even if it was a result of hardware limitations, it still would be nice to use the original method of saving. The only thing that would have made this game perfect would be an option to revert to the original N64 version, perhaps after beating the game the first time. Now THAT would be something. :)

Otherwise, the 3D is fantastic, the storyline is absolutely amazing, and difficulty of the time limitations and three day system are just as vigorous. This game expands upon the Zelda series with flying colors. Kudos Nintendo, there is nothing wrong with remakes, especially when they're this good.

Controls were ok for the most part, swimming was pretty awful, camera angles while swimming is atrocious.

Zelda franchise's strongest point- dungeons, took a backseat. With only 4 dungeons, all of which are rather remarkable, it just wasn't enough.

The atmosphere was good, the amount of content, along with the variety of masks made this game a lot more in depth than its predecessor. I loved this game a lot at first, as I kept on playing I was repeatedly annoyed by one factor after another...I didn't feel like I was even playing a Zelda game anymore.

So overall, It is a meaty game that does so much right, but the cumulated annoyances made the journey rather frustrating.

Unlike OoT or ALBW, this is one game where I won't revisit. However, I am glad I got to experience this game, and I finally understand the love for it. Because if you don't let the above mentioned flaws frustrate you, you have a well crafted, massive and detailed Zelda game.

Now Lets get the 8/10 rating out of the way first. The original N64 game is by far the best N64 game of all time in my opinion; let alone one of the greatest games of all time. It is definitely within my personal top 5 games of all time, it is a 10/10 masterpiece of a game. However the amount of things they've changed in this game has done enough to bump it down to an 8/10. This game is still a fantastic game but let's go over some of the changes I feel are either unnecessary or just bad in general. One of these such changes is butting the Clocktown bank in the clock tower. This change makes it so the banks usual position in west Clocktown and places it in the south Clocktown clock tower. This change is absolutely unnecessary as all it does is change the location, it makes it slightly easier for newer players to get to as well. The next change is having the double song of time transport you to any time of the day. This change doesn't bother me a lot but it does end up making things a lot easier for new players. Another change, which is by far the worst change. Is the fact that every single dungeon boss has an eye on them somewhere which is their weak point. This means that the bosses are painfully easy to a Zelda Veteran like me and makes it easier for new players. You see where I'm going with this? The game has been toned down an awful lot so that it is easier for people new to the series. Not only that but a lot of these changes wouldn't even help a new player that much. (well except for the eye on every boss thing.) One of the things that I've always loved about the Zelda franchise is that the games were never hard, but they were challenging. They force you to think outside the box and use items that seem pointless at first but turn out to be crucial. my other favorite thing is the adventure. The feeling that you are in a living breathing world that continues to go on even when you aren't in it. I feel very few games capture this feeling better then the Zelda games. And while the 3DS version of Majoras mask does screw up on some very minor things. It improves on all the major things. The graphics make the game look absolutely amazing compared to what it used to be. The game has remastered audio which sounds absolutely amazing. The Puzzles in the dungeons always seem fresh and new. The game which I grew up loving and cherishing is still very much there. This game is perfect if you want Majoras Mask on mobile and even better if you are new to Zelda and want to give the games a try. Overall I recommend it to everyone. Expand

The original Nintendo 64 version followed in the footsteps of Ocarina of Time, which was a pioneer of 3D exploration and is considered one of the most important games of all time. This makes Nintendo's decision to go fresh here even bolder, and the resulting title will, at many times, make you wish more developers followed this philosophy more often.

Since this is one of the few straight sequels in the Zelda series, the Link here is the same one we got to know and love in Ocarina of Time. While adventuring with his horse Epona, Link ends up tricked by an entity called the Skull Kid, losing his horse and weapons and transformed into a Deku shrub. He then finds himself in the city of Termina, where, due to the Skull Kid's meddling, an extremely creepy-looking moon will crash land in three days. Of course, Link is the Hero of Time, meaning he can keep using his ocarina to relive those tree days over and over again in order to gather masks, weapons and embark into missions to stop the catastrophe.

Without spoiling anything, this intriguing plot leads to some of the best storytelling the series has ever seen. Characters in Termina (and in the many surrounding areas) are your usual Zelda fare of lighthearted personas, but the creepy atmosphere and the very real sense of danger affects their story arcs in a way that can get truly touching. Specifically, one of the optional sidequests gets so poignant towards its end that it seriously got me to the verge of tears. This is not something that usually happens on a Zelda game, so it was a truly gratifying surprise.

Another interesting aspect here is that the game offers only a few traditional weapons. Instead, most of Link's abilities come from masks, which are rewarded for completing missions. Some of the masks (namely, the ones that transform Link into new creatures) are necessary to the main campaign, while others are useful items that can be collected as rewards from sidequests. Getting all of them will be challenging, but extremely rewarding.

Great exploration is a mainstay of the franchise, and here it's no different. I had a blast adventuring though each of the game's several areas, figuring out puzzles and looking for those all-important masks. The perpetually ticking three-day clock is a neat addition to the overworld, as there are some events that can only be witnessed at certain periods of the cycle. Managing time gives the game a sense of urgency that works wonders with the "impending disaster" vibe, especially given how the music becomes creepier and more urgent each time the final day comes.

And then there are the dungeons. Like I said in the last paragraph, I love the game's implementation of a clock; in the final hours before the moon crash landing, you'll always have to play your Song of Time to get transported back to Termina city on the first day, making you lose all of your "expendable" items such as bombs, arrows, and bottle contents. This works great for storytelling, for side quests, for environmental puzzles in the overworld... but it absolutely does not work for dungeons. If you've played any Zelda game at all, especially a 3D Zelda, you'll know that dungeons are a slow, methodical, puzzle-heavy affair. You often have to think long and hard about what to do next in order to conquer them. And yet there's that freaking clock, ticking away relentlessly. It won't even stop during boss battles, meaning there's a very real danger of having to stop halfway through the fight and start it over in a new three-day cycle. It absolutely doesn't work, making the dungeons in the game, which are all excellently designed (yes, even the water dungeon), feel like an absolute chore.

Each dungeon also features fifteen stray fairies; should you collect them all, you can take them to a nearby fairy fountain to get a special item or ability. This is a great way to compel players to search every single corner of a dungeon... yet fairies are considered an "expendable" item, meaning you'll lose all of them every time you reset the clock. You can't even take the ones you got to the fountain before playing the Song of Time; no, sir, you have to get them all in a single three-day cycle. This is what infuriated me the most about the clock implementation on dungeons, and made me simply give up altogether on fairy collecting, a gameplay mechanic that I otherwise loved.

Majora's Mask is a game of extremes: there's pure bliss in the way the story unfolds and the majority of the game plays, there's an unprecedented degree of innovation... and then there are the dungeons. In adapting it from the original, Grezzo tweaked a lot of the elements that didn't age up well, and yet left the dungeon problem unsolved. If it were otherwise, it could be the best game in the entire franchise. Alas, it was not to be, and as such it will remain a flawed masterpiece.

I love it how characters move around the town and they do different things during the 3 days cycle. Some are terrified from the moon, some have leave the town, and others stick to the town out of pride.

Speaking of characters, the missions are by the far in the history of the series. Really, the boomers notbook makes it very easy to track your side quests record. It's an organized systematic note helps you to know what else can you to add to the fun. Without spoiling anything, there's a side quest that's very long but very rewarding to do. It is the best side quest in any other zelda game.

Lastly, there are four main dungeons (and few somewhere between), I rate three of them as great, and the last one is EPIC.

    Great game!

All said, it does also speak volumes that, besides one utterly rotten dungeon experience, Majora’s Mask is still as wonderful and magical as it was the first time around. It’s not a perfect game, nor is it the definitive Zelda experience (an award I still believe goes to A Link To The Past), but it is a timeless experience that’s worth playing if only to be a part of the legend.

After Ocarina of Time and The Wind Waker getting remakes quite close to each other, it seemed unlikely there’d be a Majora’s Mask remake too, but thankfully there was. Majora’s Mask is a masterpiece, so the 3DS getting it for its second Zelda remake was definitely a good thing. The reason it remains so highly regarded to this day is for the same reason as Ocarina of Time- it’s timeless.
But Majora’s Mask is a very different game to Ocarina of Time in every way except for the art style. Zelda doesn’t even feature in the game, and instead of the game taking place in Hyrule, Link has ended up in the darker world of Termina. What straight away makes Majora’s Mask feel so unique is this new world: all of its characters are the same as the characters from Ocarina of Time, as if it’s some sort of eerie parallel universe that Link has been unlucky enough to end up in. What adds to this is the perpetually restarting 3-day Moon cycle, going through the same apocalyptic scenario again and again and again. And the fact all of the characters are exactly like those from Ocarina of Time makes the world seem odd, dreamlike. The soundtrack reflects this. This and the game’s unique storyline make Majora’s Mask darker and more eerie than Ocarina of Time.
Of course, this world would never come of life as it does without the presentation and graphics and along with the 3D effect, they make the game even more magical than it was to begin with. Grezzo have once again done a wonderful job updating the 15-year old visuals for the 3DS, granting the world of Termina much more detail. The locations look superb and all the character models are clearer and more detailed, including the enemies and bosses. Many of the gameplay mechanics have also been polished to make for more seamless gameplay.
The actual gameplay of Majora’s Mask is excellent, as it always has been, using the same control scheme as Ocarina of Time but with new features, such as the masks. As well as collecting the items, there are also many masks that each grant Link a new ability. As the game was released soon after OoT, this was another good way to shake up the gameplay. Though most of the masks are optional and are obtained from side quests, a few of them are transformation masks that transform Link into a character that has died. For example, the Zora mask transforms Link into a Zora character who drowns. Not only is that idea quite different from what you’d expect, but these masks play big roles in the game. They are used as much as the dungeon items to solve puzzles and fight bosses and enemies. Another thing that set this Majora’s Mask apart from OoT was the 3-day cycle system. The plot is, obviously, that Link has only 3 days to save the land of Termina from its Moon crashing into it. Throughout the game you must reset the 3 days (or you’d only have a few hours to beat it) but reset the cycle during a dungeon will mean losing a lot of progress, which leads to some frantic situations when you only have a few minutes left. You have to constantly move, or you will run out of time. The way the 3-day cycle is implemented is complex and very clever, adding to the gameplay immensely as certain things can only be done at certain times. It also means that the developers could make it so that you can ‘fail’ side quests permanently, only to reset the 3-day cycle to get another try. Put simply, Majora’s Mask mechanics are flawlessly implemented. The dungeons are innovative, especially the final one, and the locations have been updated well for the 3DS.
However, the game has one flaw which is still present in this version: its shortness. Compared with OoT, which had nine dungeons, Majora’s mask has only four. And while the larger overworld partly makes up for that, the game is noticeably shorter than OoT. Grezzo could have easily made up for this at least in part by including an unlockable tougher hero mode as has been customary in all recent Zelda titles, even non-remakes. But for some reason, they made the puzzling decision not to, which is a shame. It’s not like the MM’s massively short though and the side quests offer a good amount more of extra length.
Despite its shorter length, Majora’s Mask is a timeless classic, setting itself apart from OoT with its different overworld, 3-day cycle and one masks. Without a doubt, one of the best Zelda games and that has become even better because of the remake.

I will admit I was a little surprised when fighting the first boss and realized they had changed how you beat him, but after thinking about it and defeating the boss, I have come to the realization that the changes were actually better than the original. What I love:
First, the history of this game. Without a doubt, Majora's Mask presents the most creative story of all the Zelda games. Second, I love the dark tone; the last town before the last Temple is scary and your background music could be easily included in any Horror Game what I would not be surprised. Third, I love the overall weirdness of this game. Everything is nonsense: the events, the characters ... It's like an Alice in Wonderland Zelda version. Fourth, I love playing with Deku Link. He's cute and lovely. If I could, I would play with him the whole game. And I love the bizarre statue of Link (dubbed by fans as "Ben", due to creepypasta). It's a pity that we can't really make "him" appears in all regions of the game. It would be funny.

Compared to the new generation of games, Majora's Mask is very difficult and very confusing. Very much. If you're playing it in the dark for the first time, it's humanly impossible for you to finish this game without the help of a detonated, unless you are a genius prodigy in puzzles, or has an infinite time at their disposal (the which is not my case). And this is the version for 3DS: I've never played for Nintendo 64, but say that's 10 times worse. Jesus Christ.

But now, the parties I really hate about Majora's Mask:
First, the controls of Zora Link in underwater sucks. It took me almost two hours just to find out how Zora Link can break boxes in the water, and another half hour to hit the move. I love Zora Link, but... Sorry. This controls are little sucks.

Second, I don't like the fact this game is timed. This is not a problem when you are making side missions or playing at random, but it is a big problem when you need to complete Dungeons. In Dungeons you can't stop for admiring the scenery (which can be done in Ocarina of Time), because you will be more concerned looking all the time on the clock to see how long still missing. In short: pressure. And I hate feeling pressure while I'm playing. And what is most terrible is that you can not afford to be dying all the time in the mini-bosses and end Boss (which seem easy, but they are not), because there will not be time. And to make the most desperate situation, the puzzels, mainly in the Water Temple and the last Temple also isn't easy. So, will be normal you get lost a few times and see precious time going down the drain. The icing on the cake doom is to collect the Stray Fairies at the same time. Only Ninjas can. To be clear: This difficulty in puzzels and bosses isn't bad, the bad thing is you being timed. If not for the annoying finite time, Majora's Mask would be a much more fun game, in my humble opnion.

But before you curse me, I want tell that Majora's Mask is a really great game, and easily my second favorite game of Legend of Zelda series.

This is my favourite game! It's excellent! The best game of Zelda series, in my opinion. I've loved it before with his N64 version, and I became very excited when Nintendo announced the remake. Worths to turn back 15 years to the past? Yes, of course! Expand

A story very well made, charismatic characters, good game play, excellent soundtrack, variety of side quests, witty temples, a difficulty as well, and wonderful quests, now with better graphics and to carry everywhere.

This game look so beautiful on the 3DS, it's an amazing story and I never got tired of playing it over and over. Getting all the collectables and exploring Termina. I always loved being able to transform into other creatures.
This is the darkest Zelda game ever. The Majora's Mask is just so epic, lots of people have it on stickers, stamps, tattoos, etc. A very beautiful game who makes us

This is the darkest Zelda game ever. The Majora's Mask is just so epic, lots of people have it on stickers, stamps, tattoos, etc. A very beautiful game who makes us want it to be whole lot more playable than just 3 days. In love with this game since I was 9.
The only thing I didn't like is the way they changed Zora Link way to swim, that was something I loved doing and not anymore.

PS: Playing it on the New 3DS XL makes it even better to play.

Much like Ocarina of Time 3D, Majora's Mask on the 3DS updates and enhances the original N64 title. Even with its more saturated color palette its dark atmosphere still shines through. Fishing has been added as well as a Bomber's notebook. The bomber's notebook acts as a quest tracker and allows you to keep tabs on the various events that occur throughout the game and at what time.

Majora's Mask is one of the harder games because of its 3 day cycle. And for that reason the bomber's notebook really does help players get an idea of where they need to go. This is simply another essential game for your 3DS.

Ahhhhhh, what a breath of fresh air, not because of this game becoming real, but because everyone who thought majora's mask 3D was going to be a Wii U game now looks, retarded

It's so good to have played this game again after all those years. The 3D-effect looks really nice. Definitely a dark atmosphere, which suits this game really well. The dungeons feel fresh, however the puzzles felt easier. The 'time limit' mechanic lets you plan your actions which works really well, although I feel like they could've used that in more puzzles. Dark, surreal, poignant. Link's foray into the world of Termina – a strange fascimile of Hyrule destined to be crushed beneath a grimacing moon unless our hero can find a way to stop its descent – is certainly one of his most unusual adventures, but it's also one of his best. To my immense surprise, I haven’t fallen for a Zelda game like this since I played the The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (1991). Evidence of master craftsmanship is everywhere in this game. By the time you’re flipping a temple upside down then right side up, you may discover that your imagination has been enlarged.
