Summary: In another half-hour episode, John LaMantia was the returning contestant. He won $16,000 last time he was here with all three lifelines. He actually made it up to $125,000 with no help, becoming the first contestant in the US to do so. But he ran into trouble on his $250,000 asking what title was given to Prince Edward upon his 1999 marriage (Earl of Wessex). His 50:50 left Earl of Wessex and Earl of Sussex. His ATA gave him a 57% percentage for Earl of Wessex. His PAF said Earl of Sussex. After using all three lifelines and still unconvinced, John decided to walk away. The audience was right.

Next to go for $1,000,000 is Mike Feinberg. He made $4,000 with no problems but his $8,000 question involving what was not a type of mushroom (Endive) gave him a little trouble. He used the 50:50 which left Morel and Endive. He then asked the audience, giving him an overwhelming majority for Endive with 84%. Mike went with that and was right!
