    Just finished Season 4. To be honest, I remember absolutely nothing that happened in those 8 episodes. That’s how forgettable this season was. It was my hope that the show runners would reclaim their footing after a disastrous third season, but it seems they’ve decided to delve deeper into the same lifeless sci-if world that we all hated in Season 3. This show’s greatest mistake wasJust finished Season 4. To be honest, I remember absolutely nothing that happened in those 8 episodes. That’s how forgettable this season was. It was my hope that the show runners would reclaim their footing after a disastrous third season, but it seems they’ve decided to delve deeper into the same lifeless sci-if world that we all hated in Season 3. This show’s greatest mistake was leaving the robotic theme park that was “Westworld”, and moving the story into such a generic dystopian real world. I fell in love with this show because it was something new, mysterious, & sexy. But the moment that they moved on from Westworld, everything that I loved about the show was over and it became much less interesting to watch. Of course this season had plenty of the familiar Westworld plot twists, but it had none of the payoffs. It’s just plot twists for the sake of plot twists, time jumps for the sake of time jumps, and none of it adds any value to the story being told. It feels like the writers have no idea what they’re doing anymore and are just running us around in circles like a dog chasing its own tail. Don’t get me wrong, the acting & cinematography are phenomenal as always. But I’m completely lost on what is motivating these characters anymore. It’s a little hard to follow when they can suddenly become new characters entirely because PLOT TWIST! Trying to follow what’s happening in this show is just exhausting. It’s like trying to catch a fish with your bare hands. Just when you finally get a grasp on what’s happening, it ends up tasting like old trout.… Expand

    What was that? This season makes no sense. You can easily watch season 3 and then season 5. But I'm not sure anyone would watch season 5 after a mess in season 4

When you have too many plot threads with no interesting or captivating closures to "tie up the knots" it usually ends up in an unmitigated disaster. I have passionate followed WW for all the seasons, but might add its probably a good idea to finally hang this up.… Expand

    Just finish it already! No one is remembers because of the stupid breaks, a TV series cannot skip a year and just continue like nothing happened. First 2 seasons was watchable, then down the drain! I have zero idea why they making this... money laundering?!

    What happened to the writers for seasons 1 and 2....The premiere is poorly written and uninteresting, just like the last season. The cinematography and effects are good but it's not worth watching solely for this.

    Wenn ich mir die erste absolut geniale Staffel mal wieder ansehe und es mir nicht in den Kopf geht wie man sich so schnell verschlechtern kann. Die dritte Staffel war schon unglaublich schlecht aber ich glaube, wenn die folgen so weiter gehen, das die vierte das noch Toppen wird.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I know it's hard to follow this series, but thats, what make the seris so special. Small things in the beginning will have a big impact in next episode or season. There are a lot of brilliant Moments for Example: William Host asks the real William what or who he (William host) is, when even the real William don't know who he is. This show also rises questions for our selfe. We could be so much more, but we always take the simple way.

    If some people say that this series is boring, they also choos the simple way. They are not intresed into a series which try to reflect where we come from and who we are. I rememberd the Pixar-Film Wall-E, where people said the middle part of film with the fat people sitting in a couch was boring and they blamed the filme maker to put in more action and rated the film bad. But they didn't understand this sene. This seen should show us a mirror how boring our lives would like in the future if we go on wit this. How can you give a film or a series with such deep diving into our self not give 10 points?

    Of cause this show is not a psycho anlysis show, but it rises question which would get you digging deeper into your psych and to start your own maze. How are your realy? Are there loops in your life wher you react always the same which you should better change?

    Also think about the other aspects. With quantum computers and rising AI technology and the data which collected google and other big tech firms. Are we realy far away from solomon and rehabeam? Didn't the tracking of outliers allrady begun in job searching and helthcare system? This show gives you so much to think about....    … Expand

    Although not much happened, the new season's first episode was intriguing. I hope that things don't get very convoluted this time.

    I thought the season was quite brilliant. Definitely had a few surprises. Acting was great, as always. And I enjoyed the inevitability of the story conclusion.

    Real return to form on the solid mystery writing. Less drama this season, but that's not what I'm in for.

    Another great season. Filming locations and set designs are excellent. You have to think a little with this show, but it's well worth it. All the actors are great, especially Thandiwe Newton. I love this show!

    This season had some good moments for sure, and it was very well shot, great score etc.
    But it is of course a far cry off the first season and generally disappointing that this is where Westworld ended up.

    Beautifully shot high budget sci fi nonsense that steps far beyond the intriguing mysteries of the original series and shows how little entertainment there is to be found in the answers to questions the show originally posed. Some cool moments in here for sure but the decisions made by a supposedly superior intelligence feel....poorly realised by the writing team.

    This season was a mess. It was really poorly written and executed. A shadow of the other seasons. Each season was worst then the previous.

    It is still dense and intense – and yet remains hugely rewarding, provided you’re willing to expend your grey matter to keep up. In particular, it displays a refreshing determination to not repeat itself and it is great fun watching familiar characters adapting to changed circumstances.
