I loved it from the beginning to the end. It's like a giant puzzle in a dream. Great acting, visuals, story and music. A few scenes are etched in my memory forever. (Ford, Theresa and the glass of wine, awesome.)

After reading the SJW fulled rhetoric about this show i have to say i was surprised to find very little violence and sex in the first episode. Actually with very little editing the show could get a PG-13 rating, in the first episode at least.

Also i enjoyed the first episode the second time around. Once you get a grip with the show, you start to see the cracks for what they are: not cracks at all but details put there for a reason. IF you let go of your biases you can end up enjoying some amazing acting, and some genuinely great music( you'll hear Paint it Black, as sang by an orchestra). Overall its the best show this time of year.

I loved the pilot! I think the show has the potential to be the next big for for HBO.

Parts of it reminded me of certain video games, such as Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption and even Mass Effect to name a few.

I'm hinged, and I can't wait to see where this show goes. After the first season, I'll probably check out the original film.

The show is truly suspenseful and entertaining.
It asks real, meaningful philosophical questions about the future of our race. Questions that will no doubt be daily-life-relevant in the near future.
It has some of the most powerful acting I have seen on TV. It gave a sense of closure, a rare sense of satisfaction at this season finale. Not for everyone maybe but definitely a must

I literally can not believe there are people giving this a negative review, then again, people voted for Trump lol. Regardless, excellent show, exciting, interesting premise. It's one of those shows where you can't wait to see how deep it goes and in what direction, the possibilities are crazy, not knowing who is real, what timeline you may or may not be in, so many questions.

After episode 2 I am fully on board and ready to say that Westworld is an amazing show. Not that episode 1 didn't show potential and very strong qualities, but it lacked something special to hook me, which episode 2 definitely had.

After episode 2 I am fully on board and ready to say that Westworld is an amazing show. Not that episode 1 didn't show potential and very strong qualities, but it lacked something special to hook me, which episode 2 definitely had.

Episode 1 was a questionable entry point into the series in introducing Westworld from the point of view of the hosts (the robots) who at that point in time have no sentience or humanity yet. If your protagonist is completely passive and can't really feel, understand or remember anything then you don't really have a reason to care and that was in my opinion a mistake for a pilot. It did however do some very heavy lifting in introducing the concepts of the park, the mythology, and how it's run. Also Dolores really wasn't a strong enough character yet to carry a pilot, she will no doubt gain depth in future episode though.

Episode 2 was in my opinion the real pilot. Introducing Westworld from the point of view of a visitor which was vital and perfectly done. It showed exactly why people would go to that place, what the experience is like, and the metaphor for video games was very clever, with the process of entering the park very much resembling a character creation in an RPG game. Overall a very strong episode with many twists and turns, while also being satisfying as a stand alone episode. Can't wait for episode 3.

Pilot was fantastic. You can tell it's definitely supposed to be more action packed than GoT, which a lot of people are comparing it to since it's on HBO. Have to say.. It's a fun ride so far. Loving all the characters both in Westworld and at the base.

Critics are stupid. This show has to be one of the most satisfying things I've seen in ages. It's excellent from start to end, and even if the second season is terrible, the first season stands perfectly well on its own. You're doing yourself a massive disservice if you haven't seen it.

This is the most intelligent show I've ever seen. As soon as I watched the first episode I had to binge the rest of the show.

Not only is the story incredibly complex and well-written with unexpected twists, but it also really makes you think about what it means to be human and other fundamental questions of life. The kind of show you'll have to go back and watch again to catch

Acting is flawless, the depth of concept is very good and the visuals are stunning, this is the kind of first season most series can only dream of. Helped in no small part I'm sure by the inclusion of Sir Anthony Hopkins who plays one of the better roles in his career.

Creepy performances by Ed Harris and Evan Rachel Wood are also noteworthy. This series may be the best thing on TV since Game of Thrones arrived six seasons ago. I recommend you check this one out, and pay particular attention to the nuances of the actors noted above. I hope this series can continue on the same pace, it's a real treat so far. If so, we will see a few members of this cast and crew on stage at the Golden Globes and Emmys in the new year. This show outshines the original, which also made the hair stand up on the back of your neck, and was well acted by Yul Brynner, in the best role of his career. Enjoy! Expand

I gotta tell ya that this show really does feel like that you are diving into the story of Red Dead Redemption or The Matrix combined but it sets in the old wild west with androids! The production design, the outstanding writing, the notable actors, and the soundtrack composed by Game of Thrones' and Prison Breaks' Ramin Djawadi is superb! Trust me, it's awesome, it's gripping as hell, it's sexy, it's bloody epic, and quite yet romantic!

To the show though, I've never enjoyed a show quite this much, I watched the entire thing in the span of about a week, couldn't stop.. if not for my job it would have been in the span of 2 days easily, I'm not going to break down the details because I'll be writing a review that's 10k words, giving this a 10, which I don't think I've done for anything on here yet, can't wait for s2.

Finally a show that gets better and more interesting as it goes instead of tricking you with a flashy start and boring you in the second half.

I wasn't really into it for the first couple of episodes but in the end I see this as a masterpiece.

I'm sure the first day reviewers who gave it an unfair 0 must feel really really stupid right now.

WW is thought provoking and the first two episodes held me spellbound... the world through the eyes of the android.... (vague spoiler alert, sort of...) The fact that the andys have a "subconscious," due to sloppy program practices of not completely wiping their memories is a brilliant idea, and it brings them just that much closer to being human. But, getting back to the show... everything about WW is movie quality, from the gorgeous natural backdrops to the casting, sets, acting and (intricate, wonderful) screenplays. This is not a show for the casual viewer or those with short attention spans, but if you are looking for some thought provoking viewing, you have found your show! While WW could have gone the route of cheesy action/adventure, it strives and succeeds in so much more.... We truly live in a new age of TVs golden years and I am glad to say that HBO has another winner with West World. Expand

Considering the names that are behind this colossal project, it goes without saying that I had high hopes for this series. I am someone that isn't easily impressed. At least, that's what I'm told. So, When I say this show has surpassed my wildest expectations, it should give you an idea of what awaits you. Emphasis on "idea". As, this is one of those shows that is hard to describe. Mainly because it renders a world where the only limit is your imagination. It thrives on human desire, or another way to phrase it, human design. HBO has invested a whopping one hundred million dollars on this project and I for one hope they get there moneys worth because this series deserves it. Expand

With a star-studded cast (notably featuring Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, Anthony Hopkins, James Marsden, and Jeffrey Wright), lush production design, epically sprawling story, and astonishingly huge budget, HBO is banking on the J.J. Westworld is explicitly, and often wittily, an exploitation series about exploitation, full of naked bodies that are meant to make us think about nudity and violence that comments on violence. It’s the kind of trippy conceptual project that would be unbearable if it weren’t so elegantly made. So far, it works, mostly--not because it’s perfect but because it gets under your skin.
